I booked this venue for my wedding & reception. The venue is very pretty, always SUPER clean, affordable and all the employees are nice, however, I would NOT recommend this venue to anyone who doesn’t have a great planner that can pull things ...together & hold them accountable. (My planner was great so she handled a lot of the stress this venue put on us). These are the issues we encountered:
• When we first started making payments to the venue, I had to drive to the venue and leave a check. I spoke with an employee 1 day when I called and he told me I could make payments via zelle, which I thought was great because I wouldn’t have to drive to the venue all the time. I made several payments via zelle to the venue, but the employee didn’t notate my payments with the appropriate person. As a result when I went to make my last payment, they had no record of most of my payments.
• They rarely answer the phone, but they will text you.
• The venue over promises & under delivers on most things. When I signed the contract to have our wedding & ceremony at the venue, the l woman that signed the contract with me wrote out the price for the “wedding.” When I went back to make the last payment with the SAME woman I signed the contract with, they attempted to make me pay hundreds more dollars because of her error. I think it was an attempt to get more money out of me. I was so upset I broke down in tears and they decided they would not charge me the extra for their mistake. I originally chose this venue because I liked the glass balls hanging from the ceiling and they told me they could put LED tealights in these balls for free if that’s what I wanted & that is exactly what I wanted. A month or so before my wedding, this changed & they told me the tealights are broken. Then when I pressed a little more they said they never use LED tealights in the balls, which was a lie because they first day when I went to see the venue, there were LED tealights and they even posted another event on Instagram prior to my wedding where the tealights were in the balls lit up. Next, they told me they would TRY to order new lights and charge me a fee to install them or I would have to find someone insured to put the lights in. I gave up on the tealights because we had to pay for tons of other things due to their misinformation. They told me they would provide drapes for my wedding and later that changed so my planner had great contacts in the industry and she was able to find a vendor she knew very well do the drapes for me for a fee. 2 weeks before my wedding, the venue decided they would purchase drapes for the venue, so I was able to use theirs for an extra fee.
• My unity candle and toasting glasses were left at the venue and I had to go through hell and high water to get it back. They kept giving me the run around.
• When we made appts with them to go to the venue they were late/kept me waiting for 30+ min.
• 1 month we made a payment and someone from the venue called me and asked me if I could make an extra payment because they wanted to go to a wedding conference in California. I was shocked and appalled at the request especially since I had already paid them about $1000 that month.
All in all, I had an AMAZING wedding, but the amount of stress this venue puts on the wedding planning process is unacceptable. They have the potential to be an amazing venue, but unfortunately, I wouldn’t have another event here. ☹
