The Atlanta Botanical Garden is a versatile indoor/outdoor wedding venue in Atlanta, GA. An urban oasis nestled in the heart of Midtown, this property offers lush lawns, verdant tropical foliage, and romantic glens for your special day. When it's not hosting events, the 30-acre estate is a non-profit that teaches the community about conservation and preserving the natural world. With its old-growth hardwood forest, a vast collection of orchids, and secluded grottos, this venue is a magical setting to commemorate your love.
No matter the time of year, Atlanta Botanical Garden will dazzle you and your guests with its varied and breathtaking plant life. Explore the numerous ceremony and reception sites to find one that best suits your wedding style and size. Among these are the tranquil Japanese Garden, the newly-renovated Rose Garden, the intimate Fragrance Garden, and the Alston Overlook, shaded by sweet magnolias. Other spots include a walled, brick-lined secret garden with classical gazebos, a terrace among the treetops, and Mershon Hall, a Craftsman-style mansion. The plant-to-plate Longleaf Restaurant is also available to accommodate your reception dinner and serve mouth-watering food in a cavernous space featuring floor-to-ceiling windows.
Book Atlanta Botanical Garden for your wedding and experience the wonder of its awe-inspiring grounds. Dining can be provided in-house at our Longleaf Restaurant or by an approved caterer inside one of our garden venues, while drinks are prepared and served by the venue’s team of bartenders. We chose this venue for both our ceremony and reception and the setting was absolutely beautiful. Our guests loved it too. We worked with Naomi and Fernanda from start to end and both were very friendly and eager to help with every inquiry we had. They also followed up after the wedding to hear our feedback and this meant a lot to us. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our ceremony in the Rose Garden and our reception at Day Hall. Our wedding looked straight out of a fairytale. Kim is quite literally an Angel, always ready to respond to inquires and helped us with a last-minute issue... and she was out of town! She’s so dedicated and will make sure your day is perfect!!! This is a beautiful venue and I can’t wait to visit our “spot” for years to come!

We recently held our ceremony and reception at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Naomi and Fernanda were amazing to work with and helped make our day an incredible experience. From start to finish, they were responsive and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure our guests had an great experience. We are still receiving complements today about how much people enjoyed the ambience and setting. We feel so lucky to have been able to work with Naomi and Fernanda and would highly recommend this team and venue to anyone looking for the perfect place to celebrate such an important occasion.

The Botanical Garden is a beautiful place to get married. But, after all was said an done, we felt very taken advantage of. There was a lot of miscommunication on the day of the event that the garden decided to take part of our deposit. The woman who was assigned to our day relayed to her managers certain events that took place incorrectly which resulted in half of our deposit being taken away. When we tried to explain our side of the events, they just did not care to hear it. We were promised certain pottery to be removed during the ceremony and the day of they told us they couldnt remove them. Also, we paid for a FULL open bar and the staff said they couldnt give out non mixed drink (shots). But they gave out some shots to some people and refused to others and then also made a handful of our guests pay cash for non mixed drinks. Which is not ok for the garden staff to do when we paid over $4,000 to have an open bar. Many items like this went on. I felt as though we were pushed into a corner and forced to give up half of our deposit for "breach of contract" but the garden did not take any responsibility for their breaches as well and did not investigate our concerns properly. Honestly, how everything went down at the end has really put a bad taste in my mouth. I would make sure you have everything in writing as well as thoroughly document events that happen during the night.

Unique, exceptional, beautiful setting, made even more special by Chihuly exhibit. Well organized, responsive staff. They anticipate your needs and meet them or recommend a vendor who can.

We enjoyed our June wedding here and we could not have picked a more perfect venue. From the beginning they worked with us through every step. Rolling with changes and helping us make informed decisions. There preferred list of caterers was spot on. It was so helpful to have a list of amazing people at our fingertips and it was a breeze to build our wedding dream team. Planning the wedding with them was easy and they helped me find my vision for the space. During the wedding they took care of us, made sure we had anything and everything we needed without being over bearing, kept us on track, and let us have the most perfect night. The venue itself - one of the most magical and beautiful places in the world. We didn't have to do much with decorating because of the nature of our venue. While we took the most gorgeous pictures our guests were entertained by walking around and viewing the exhibits. Additionally, some guests took breaks after hours of dancing on the cork floors to go and see the Garden at night. We have had so many people compliment us on our venue, but really, all we did was pick the place. The staff there made it everything it was, in it's beautiful perfection. I strongly recommend this venue to any bride or couple looking for the most gorgeous wedding with little to no stress. Ask for Naomi and/or Fernanda - they'll make you feel like a princess and help you with every need!

Naomi helped us with all the details for our venue. We had a very small ceremony in the Japanese Garden. The week before the ceremony, she walked us through everything. She really took a lot of time with me to make sure everything would be alright. I could just imagine how nice it would be... if the weather would cooperate. The weather was going to be questionable that day, so she helped us with a good back-up plan, too. Luckily, the weather did cooperate, and it was beautiful.

Staff was great. Despite rain and late starting reception, everything went beautifully...and the gardens helped to make this possible. Also they let the groom and I get married in the Alleé; which is not customary. It was amazing because I dreamed of getting married in a tree lined aisle with a canopy.

We could not have picked a better place to have our wedding. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens is absolutely gorgeous all year around. Our wedding was in early October so they had rich reds, oranges, and purples on display. We had our ceremony in the Rose Garden, followed by cocktail our in the courtyard with the Chihuli as the backdrop and grand finale was in Day Hall.
The staff was amazing and made sure everything went off without a hitch. Since had an evening wedding, once the garden closed we had the whole place to ourselves (with adequate security). The scenery also made for unforgettable and picturesque photos. I would highly recommend adding the Atlanta Botanical Gardens to your list of vendors if planning an outdoor wedding.

We had our ceremony at the Robinson Gazebo which provided shade from the noon day Atlanta sun and a nice breeze with a view of the Atlanta skyline. The garden provided a location for awesome pictures and guests were able to enjoy the gardens before and after the ceremony.

We signed our contract with the botanical gardens with one person who was let go within a month. We received no word that she was let go, and despite my continuing calls and emails, I heard no response. Finally when I reached someone else more than a MONTH later, they were unapologetic about the miscommunication. Okay, I am pretty easy going so this was okay and everything was on track. Then they assigned me to work with events manager Robyn, who only responds to emails one in every 10 that you send, never answers or returns phone calls, and the day before the wedding decided to hand off the day to someone else. Very unprofessional. While the botanical gardens was the most beautiful venue to get married in and we had a wonderful wedding that went off without a hitch, if you're the type of bride that has questions and wants them answered within a few days, this isn't the right venue for you. With the very, very steep prices you pay for the place, you would think they would at least have the decency to answer your questions and return phone calls!

My reception venue was perfect - outdoor patio with large fountain for cocktail hour beautiful and spacious (but still warm and inviting) reception area - Mershon Hall at Atlanta Botanical Garden - and the walk throught the garden to get to Mershon Hall was lovely. Additionally the city skyline seen against the peaceful garden adds a nice touch of drama.
