About this vendor
Based in Austin, TX, the Austin Typewriter Poets Collective offers unique, personalized, on-the-spot poems written on vintage typewriters. Enchant your guests, check wedding favors off your list, and commemorate your big day with this spontaneous form of performance art.
HOW IT WORKS
Antique typewriters. Live poets to operate them. Bespoke poems for your guests to take home. The Austin Typewriter Poets Collective brings a classy, novel, and interactive experience to any wedding or event.
Curious guests approach and we ask them for a topic. We then improvise a poem based on that topic (generally within two to three minutes) and read it aloud. Finally, we hand it over for them to keep.
We’ve written thousands of poems for thousands of folks. People are invariably enchanted by the experience and are thrilled to take a custom, typewritten poem home. Try to give us a topic we’ve never gotten before! I dare you.

Noaa and his team was so amazing to work with! They were on time, communicative, and having them gave our guests a really unique offering at our Valentine's Day themed wedding! It ...
was so special and fun, and so many of our guests said they loved how special their poems were. I would highly recommend booking Noaa and Austin Typewriter Poets Collective!
Hands down the best part of our wedding!
I’ll tell you, these guys are the best at what they do. Quality of writing 100%.
Hilarious, Witty, poignant and unique!
They showed up with...
three piece suits like straight out of 1917 and even took their hats off when I introduced them to my father!
Later he asked them to write a poem about his late wife Anne (my mother) and he was so moved he cried. THESE POETS MADE MY FATHER CRY!!!! I’ve never seen him cry… ever. It made me so happy!
They wrote hilarious poems for my nieces and nephews about snakes and hedgehogs! Then, if all that wasn’t enough, Our DJ didn’t show up and one of them got out an acoustic guitar and played us some of the sweetest jazz I have ever heard.
They really did make our wedding special.
I would have them back for every event I have. They were worth every penny!
