Stumbled upon this venue while touring others in the area and we were in love! It was the perfect venue for our small wedding with amazing food and attentive staff. The views and overall aesthetic are unique and our guests loved the lounge seating. Nancy and Jordan were easy to work with and communicative. Highly recommend!!

My fiancé and I knew the moment we walked into avenue and met the lovely Nancy that this was our place. Hosting our wedding here was a dream and truly so unique, fun and special. We had our wedding on September 30 on the rooftop - the space is absolutely gorgeous, the food it TOP notch, and the service is incredible. We are receiving so many compliments from guests on how different and unique and fun our wedding was. Nancy and Jordan were absolute joys to work with, as was avenues lead chef. We did cocktail style (no formal seating) and it was unique and different. Guests loved it, we loved it and would recommended to anyone who wants something a bit untraditional. Our wedding was absolutely perfect because of the staff at avenue and I’d recommend this beautiful beachfront venue to anyone looking for an upscale, chic, beautiful venue!

The rooftop was the perfect venue for our wedding. We wanted the all night cocktail hour and this was perfect. Chris and Nancy were very attentive and they took care of everything. We would highly recommend this venue if you want a beach wedding with a free flowing environment. Thanks for everything.

I truly can not say enough amazing things about Avenue. Normally I never write reviews, but I just got married this past weekend and while on my honeymoon I had to make it a priority to say how amazing an experience working with Chris and especially Nancy at Avenue was. Avenue was the only venue I looked at, and immediately fell in love. It was everything I was looking for in my wedding venue… modern, chic, and different. Our guests couldn’t say enough how wonderful of a time they had and how much they liked the more relaxed vibe of sitting wherever they would like with the beautiful background of the ocean. Amazing food and drinks, and most importantly fantastic service. It was so important to me to choose a venue that went above and beyond, and avenue did just that. I can’t say enough about Nancy, she was such a pleasure to work with - answered questions right away and was always accommodating and friendly. She made sure that everything ran smoothly during both the ceremony and the party. I am so happy we chose Avenue, it gave me the wedding of my dreams and I would so highly recommend!

We had our wedding at the Avenue and can’t thank Nancy, Chris, and Briana enough for all of the work that they did to help us have the wedding of our dreams!
We ended up going with the brunch ceremony and reception on the rooftop lounge. The lounge seating was such a wonderful layout that allowed us to have a more intimate gathering with our guests as opposed to more traditional assigned seating at large dinner tables. As a result, we could more freely move around to talk to our guests, and our guests were able wander around and socialize rather than feeling restricted to remain in assigned seats, which ended up working out very well.
Nancy and Chris were both wonderful to work with! They were very responsive and more than helpful with answering any questions that we had throughout the entire process.
The morning of the wedding, there was a huge downpour and Nancy did everything she could to try to allow us to keep the ceremony out on the rooftop. Unfortunately, it started raining again right as the ceremony was about to start, and Nancy did a wonderful job making sure that everyone and everything was quickly moved inside and underneath the balcony so that the ceremony could begin. Also, Briana did an amazing job making sure that husband and I had everything that we needed throughout the day and that we were well fed. Since we had selected the brunch ceremony and reception, we ended up not having a tasting, but all of the food turned out amazing, and all of the guests were pleased as well!
My husband and I are very happy with our decision to host our wedding at Avenue, and highly recommend it to anyone else!

My husband and I were married at Avenue in September '17 at Avenue. The venue was gorgeous. Having grown up in Long Branch, we were very excited to be able to get married at this beautiful beach location and the rooftop lounge at Avenue was so classy and cool. It was perfect! Nancy, Chris, Bree and the rest of the staff were so accommodating. I must have sent 15 emails over the course of 4 months to ask questions and their responses were always clear, cordial and timely! They made the process comforting and easy. Our guests LOVED the venue and said that food and setting were amazing.

We are so grateful for Chris, Nancy, and the entire Avenue staff for helping us throughout the entire wedding planning process. We had the best time at our wedding and Avenue provided the most incredible setting for our big day. The outdoor rooftop space was amazing for our ceremony and the entire space was perfect for the style of reception that we wanted. Everything was truly remarkable!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The location alone is stunning, The view and the location were amazing. I had my wedding poolside and used the lounge area for the reception. Besides the location, the staff was a GREAT. They were responsive, informative, gave feedback suggestion and was helpfully every step of the way. In frantic normaL, bride mode I would send emails at 2 am and would wake up to a positive response. I could not have been happier with the location I choose. They offered a bridal suite, bridal assistant, and my own bartender. Given that it was lounge area decor my responsibility, which got very hectic and very fast but again they were accommodating, organized and helped set up.

Be careful!everything sounds and looks great , but get every single detail in writing!!!!! they will agree on something then the day of claim they have no idea what you are talking about. They told us they dont have a microphone for our ceremony and that most people never use one. HAD WE NOT BOUGHT OUR OWN, NOBODY WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO HEAR OUR CEREMONY. THEY ALSO AGREED TO HAVE CERTAIN DRINKS, then the night of told our guests "THEY ARE ONLY FOR THE BRIDE AND GROOM" are you kidding me?!?!?!? could they be more rude??????? Get every detail in writing because they will go back and claim they have no idea what you are talking about

We could not be happier with our wedding venue. We chose to do a brunch wedding that entailed a rooftop ceremony (with beautiful views of the ocean) as well as long chairs, and a fireplace. inside the venue we set up a more casual dining experience with lounge area seating ( no assigned seating) and our guests loved it! the breathtaking views of the venue, the beautiful tall windows and the beautiful architecture are what really made for beautiful photos. Our guests could not get over how beautiful it was. Not to mention, you get your own bridal suite, a bridal attendant, and the planners that help you along the entire way while you are planning. Chris and Nancy are great. Also, not to mention the food was amazing and our guests had a great time!

The Avenue gave us the wedding of our dreams. From the start we wanted to have something a bit different from the traditional sit down banquet hall receptions. When we saw the ocean view from the roof top and the great layout, we were sold. We never even saw any other venues! I was planning the wedding from San Francisco and Nancy and Chris were very accommodating and helpful throughout the whole thing, even working with my mom at some points to make arrangements. The palm trees and setting and lanterns played perfectly into our Tropical Garden Party theme and having the ceremony on the rooftop with the sounds of the waves was unforgettable. Also, the price was much more accommodating (especially for a Saturday wedding) as they didn't have any guest minimums and only have a room fee that is waived once you reach a certain dollar amount (can be for people OR food/add-ons!). We had the most perfect 80 degree day (which is no easy feat in June) and although it was a little hot during the ceremony (at 3:30pm), the sunset was amazing. They even let us do a sparkler send-off! So many of our guests said it was the best and coolest wedding they'd ever been to. Many of them couldn't stop talking about how when they got off the elevator they were immediately greeted with a glass of champagne and then crazy ocean views. The food was delicious as well (seriously GET THE SHORT RIB & MAC & CHEESE!!) and our guests loved the open bar. Thanks for everything!

Over 3 weeks ago, our son who lives in Pier Village, and has dined at Avenue many times, visited the restaurant with a request: he was planning to propose to his girlfriend in the pavilion on the boardwalk next door and wanted to surprise her by bringing her into Avenue and having their parents there to surprise her. He explained his plans and the female manager he spoke to suggested the corner round table so that we parents could watch the proposal from a distance and be somewhat hidden when they walked in. My son was excited by the idea and although Avenue prefers to seat once all parties have arrived, she agreed to have us seated before they arrived.
Earlier this week, my son verified the arrangements made and was assured the notes were there with his reservation and all would be taken care of.
Last night we arrived with the brides parents and were initially told we could not be seated, and 'to wait at the bar'. When we protested and explained the plan, they showed us to a table in the middle of the restaurant-- with no view of the pavilion.
We politely explained and asked about the TWO rounds in the corner that were vacant. We were told they were reserved. We asked to speak to the manager. Meanwhile we were standing in the middle of the restaurant while the engagement took place.
The manager came and told us we could not have either of those tables. We again explained and he was very curt, stating 'yes I saw the notes with the reservation' He refused to explain and just stared at us. He deliberately refused to seat us. Meanwhile, I saw our son and his new fiancé walking toward the restaurant and we were still standing in the middle of the restaurant. Finally, my husband's growing anger must have moved him and he offered us the round table next to the raw bar. As our son walked in the restaurant, we were still standing trying to be seated.
The surprise was ruined by this manager---and of course we didn't get to see the proposal, as planned.
Unwilling to argue further and dampen the enthusiasm of the newly engaged couple, we sat.
Luis, our server must have been aware of what happened and he bent over backwards to make sure we were well taken care of for the rest of the evening. Luis was the star of the evening and Avenue is lucky to have him.
Three things:
1. Avenue has a thriving wedding business, and one of the venues my son was considering for his wedding was Avenue. No more. (After all if something this simple could not be accommodated, what hope is there for a more complicated event?)
2. If it is not their policy to reserve specific tables or honor special requests, why wasn't my son given the courtesy of a call that week to explain? If the manager 'saw the notes', then he was aware of what had been arranged. The confusion and anger could have been avoided--and more importantly, we could have made other arrangements.
3. The corner table in question REMAINED EMPTY FOR OVER TWO HOURS after we were seated. So Mr Manager: WHAT WAS THE POINT????

We had our wedding for a little over 100 guests at Avenue on 9/19/2015 and it was everything I hoped it would be an more. I continue to get messages and texts from family and friends stating how much they loved the space and how well executed it was. Nancy, Chris, Alexis and the whole staff at Avenue are so professional and the service was excellent. The food was amazing (the flat iron steak with polenta porridge was especially great) and the rooftop area allowed us to have an intimate ceremony yet also have the stunning backdrop of the ocean and beach. Highly recommend the Avenue and its staff!

We had our wedding in September at Avenue. We could not have been happier with all aspects of the venue. From the first day we visited we were pleased with the service and professionalism of the staff. Our experience was stress free. The food was so good that I can't wait to go back and eat at the restaurant so I can enjoy it. Our guests were greeted with a glass of champagne to enjoy along with the view of the ocean on a spectacular day. All of the vendors they suggested were great too. If we had it to do over we would not change a thing!

as a wedding professional for nearly 20 years, i have obviously been to more than my share of venues. i have always loved photographing events at avenue not just because of the obvious oceanfront location made even better by their amazing rooftop pool overlooking the ocean with outdoor fireplace but also because of the laid back atmosphere conducive to having an event there. nancy and chris are wonderful to deal with and really make sure that all of your needs and concerns are attended to. the food is hands down some of the best around and always beautifully presented. because this was a second wedding we wanted something that fit our needs on a smaller scale. we decided on a sunday brunch reception downstairs in the dining room in front of the fireplace. it was absolutely perfect. it was the first week of april so even though the sun was shining it was still quite chilly outside & the roaring fire was cozy and added warmth to our area as well as atmosphere. the light from the floor to ceiling windows flooded into the gorgeous space. even though there were other diners there because our area was contained it felt very intimate. nancy and chris were so great with any of the changes and additions we made to the menu allowing us to customize to our specific needs. my family and friends are still raving about the food which included these amazing seafood towers (there was nothing left) and drinks and the service. the presentation of the food is always gorgeous and the ingredients are always so fresh... i have worked with brides on so many weddings where there is always some issue and i can honestly say that everything was so easy and went off without any glitches or problems. it's how it should be...effortless...i cannot say enough good things about avenue and it's staff!

Avenue hosted the most SPECTACULAR wedding for me! The food, lighting, service, asthetics were abosulety PERFECT! Avenue had an amazing , abundant waitstaff. I was so impressed by the quality of serivce & the most amazing quality and presentation of food. Nancy, the wedding planner at Avenue, came through with every detail I asked of her. Avenue is our weekend spot especially during the summer, so it was a given choosing Avenue for our wedding. Nancy and Chris were great answering our questions and ensuring our wedding went smoothly and perfectly. We had the pool for the kids (and the occasional adult!), the food was absolutely superb (all our guests raved about it), and the staff were friendly, accommodating and efficient. We couldn't have asked for a better place. Avenue had the atmosphere and ambiance we were looking for-a rooftop wedding and reception overlooking the beach on a warm, sunny summer day.

I'll start this off by tell you choosing a wedding venue is not an easy task. My husband and I knew we wanted a beach wedding, but with so many venues along the Jersey Shore all claiming to be the best it can be overwhelming. We checked out a few places that were nice, but nothing that blew us away and our spirits were getting a little low. Then we found Avenue...oh Avenue. We were greeted by the wedding planner who was our light at the end of the tunnel. Once we walked into Avenue we knew we had found our wedding venue. The large windows in the dining room with the expansive ocean view created a feel just like we'd been looking for! From there on it was smooth sailing coordinating what we wanted with the staff. There wasn't a single glitch along the way from putting down the deposit all the way to saying our thank you after the affair. Food was impeccable (I can honestly say I had the best wedding food ever), service was top-notch and the overall experience really felt like a dream come true. My husband and I are still glowing from our wedding day and that is in large part to the superior staff at Avenue.

My husband and I live in New York City and we wanted to get married on the ocean. Some of our friends from New Jersey told us about this beautiful place called Avenue in Long Branch. It is a New York-style French restaurant that also does weddings on the rooftop. They have a beautiful rooftop, with an outside deck and a pool, with amazing views of the ocean.
We checked the venue online and judging by the photos it was gorgeous. So we called Avenue and made an appointment with an event planner to take a tour and go over the details of our wedding. The day of our appointment (a Sunday) we decided to go and have brunch at Avenue (beautiful brunch, by the way) before meeting with the event planner. Our event planner was very knowledgeable and accommodating. She gave us a tour and talked about the different event packages and the dishes included. It all sounded very yummy! Even the date we had in mind was available! After we gave them our deposit, we came in for a tasting of the food we would have at our wedding. We were not able to taste the Hors D’Oeuvres, as they are only made fresh the day of the event. This did not matter because our event planner gave us very detailed descriptions and recommendations of the Hors D’Oeuvres. They also have seafood platters as an enhancement, so we decided to go with some oysters and shrimp since the raw bar looked so fresh.
As far as the entertainment, Avenue has their own DJ, DJ Unique, who we were able to meet with. He was very nice! We gave him a list of songs that we wanted to be played at our wedding. On the day of our wedding, he executed EVERY one of the songs we requested, without a glitch.
Since DJ Unique is also a night club DJ, during the “party” part of our reception, he played all of the most popular songs and everyone had a great time dancing! Another great thing is that Avenue is also a night club so the sound system is great! The outside speakers allowed us to dance by the rooftop pool!
Our entire wedding day went very smoothly! We were welcomed with a glass of champagne when we arrived and our event planner was with us the whole day, helping us with our every need. The ceremony on the rooftop was amazing, with the beautiful ocean view. Our pictures were stunning! The service was excellent- all of the waitresses were very pretty and welcoming to our guests. From the passed Hors D’Oeuvres, to the main course and dessert, everything was fantastic. Even the bartenders mixed up great drinks for our guests!
We had to end our wedding at 9:30 since their nightclub opened at 10. At this time, they stopped the music and the staff helped us wrap everything up and bring it to our car-so helpful! My husband and about 15 of our friends decided to stay at the nightclub and reserved a few VIP tables. We bought a few bottles to enjoy and continued the party all night!
Thanks, Avenue, for making dream wedding come true!

I had my wedding at Avenue in August and believe me when I say they made all of my dreams come true. It is disappointing to read some of the negative reviews on here because I would absolutely encourage anyone looking to get married in a beach setting to strongly consider Avenue.
Planning our wedding was a breeze, as the event planner at Avenue gave us a ton of resources and was very knowledgeable and clear about our options. What they promised us was exactly what they delivered!
The staff was so helpful in making our day run smoothly and were very accommodating to our guests. We did not encounter any issues and they really went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying ourselves!
We were able to enjoy a picturesque wedding, delicious food and danced all night with our family and friends! Again, I would recommend Avenue to anyone looking to create a destination wedding close to home!

My husband Steven and I got married at Avenue this past weekend and it was absolutely amazing. The event staff was extremely helpful in the planning of this crazy day. Avenue provided us with lists of local vendors and DJ's which made our planning for this event so much easier (Steven was a real bridezilla and the event staff was extremely accommodating). Once the big day came everything was PERFECT. We were treated like two kings! The food was amazing and the service was 4 stars. We enjoy traveling to Europe and this place reminded us of being in the South of France overlooking the Mediterrianian. We really had an amazing day and are excited to go back to this magical place tucked away on the Jersey Shore(who knew it was so nice?). Can't wait to join the beach club this summer!!

I chose Avenue because I originally wanted a destination wedding, but my husband and I wanted to be sure that all of our family and friends would be there so we chose Avenue on the Jersey Shore instead. It was a wonderful alternative and ended up being a night I will surely never forget. We had the ceremony right on the beach and the reception on the rooftop lounge. Between the atmosphere and service, we felt like we were on a paradise vacation! I was so grateful for the organized team that accomodated my every need and for my wonderful wedding planner. I would recommend this venue to anyone! I wish I could relive it :)

My girlfriend (now wife) and I have been visiting Avenue for over four years now, and we just love it. The food is amazing and the service is top notch - very professional and knowledgeable. So when we decided to get married, there was really only one choice for us! The high standards exhibited at Avenue makes the dining experience truly special, so we figured it would be the perfect venue for our wedding. And we were absolutely right! We were married early this summer (after the Honeymoon and move into our new home, I finally had a minute to write this review!) and everything was just perfect - from the weather (thank goodness!!) to the food and event staff. We have never experienced an unhappy moment at Avenue, and our wedding was no different. Looking forward to having many anniversary dinners there!!

I was recently the Maid of Honor for my sisters wedding at Avenue. We were a little worried because of the mixed reviews however she loved the view from the Rooftop Lounge and insisted she have her wedding there. What a great idea. Following the bad reviews we made sure to ask the right questions. We decided to eat dinner there before we booked and the food was great. The food at the wedding was just as good. Service was great and everything was done exactly as promised it would be. Top shelf liquor, top notch service and excellent food. And you can't beat the view.

We loved Avenue! We had our ceremony on the beach at dusk on a gorgeous September night, followed by dinner in the restaurant and dancing on the third floor club level. The staff was amazing. The food was so delicious. So many of our guests couldn't stop raving about the food and the service. I'm so happy we picked Avenue. It was so easy to work with one professional team who apparently has a lot of experience making brides and grooms happy.

if you want a nightmare of a wedding! then do it at the avenue.i was treated like trash off the street with these people, they didnt care how much i was spending ( and it was ridiculously expensive, for the quality)they fire and hire staff weekly, they werent efficiant and wouldnt give me updated contracts or receipts when i made payments.then the second the reception was over they pushed everyone out (literally) like we were a bunch of drunks at a nightclub, they ruined my day FOR SURE! would not recomend at all!

The staff at Avenue were amazing. The event coordinator (Lauren) and the head server were both so attentive and helpful. They delivered everythign based on my detaied instructions, and where no instructions were given, still handled beutifully.
The food was excellent - large portions and deliciously prepared. Everyone commented on how it was the tastiest wedding food they've had.
The ambiance was unparrelled. Being next to the ocean with the outdoor ceremony made for great feelign and wonderful pictures. I highly recommend avenue!

Avenue is an amazing place to have a wedding. The view is breathtaking. The food is exceptional unlike most wedding venues. The service was spectacular and the bar was loaded with high quality liquor. I was able to take pictures along the beach as well as with the rooftop pool. I recently attended a party at this event space. The service, staff, & managers was TERRIBLE! They did not comply with the contract . They rushed the party & employees were more then rude.....They were down right obnoxious. Two of my girlfriends actually got push by 2 different the employees. The pictures of this venue look nice but do not judge a book by its cover, especially in this case. Even my grandmother was offended by one of the staff members. This venue is shameful. In addition, I have found out from another friend that there are several people suing Avenue for similar events. Honestly don't waste your time listening to their "smiley sales" pitch b/c they pull the bait and switch.

Basically, my wedding night was ruined thanks to the bouncers at the oh-so-pretentious Le Club Avenue. This place operates as if they are a celebrity ridden club in South Beach Miami that only the rich and famous attend. First, I requested a new event coordinator because the first guy, Neil, acted as if I was bothering him when asking him to do his job. My day finally comes, I get to the bridal suite which is a room with a huge TV and a 1'x2' mirror that is just sitting on the floor. They wouldn't let my husband upstairs to take photos before the ceremony because they were still getting things ready and then they realized that he was the groom and finally let him up.
During the party, just about all of my guests were interrupted by bouncers for one reason or another. Yes, bouncers were at my wedding that I did not request. My 16 year old cousin was threatened with being kicked out because he was drinking soda that they insisted had alcohol in it. Even when he would get new soda from the bartender, they were still up his butt threatening him. My friends and I were taking a picture by the pool and they kicked us out of that area.
The place turns into a club @ 10pm and they rushed all of the guests that werent staying out of the building as if there was a fire. Those of us who did stay to party longer got locked out on the deck while they had a staff meeting by the bar. Then they kicked us out of the seats by the fireplace because someone reserved those seats, yet we didnt see anyone there for hours. Thats not even the half of it.
Here's the worst part...my husband was feeling sick, so his cousin took him to the bathroom. The door was then kicked open, and 4 bouncers rush in, 2 on each of them. Both of them were in a choke-hold, and had another guy holding their feet. They were carried downstairs, all while losing consciousness thanks to the strangulation, and literally thrown out onto the boardwalk. The bouncers' reasoning was that they were in the bathroom for too long. Both my husband and his cousin have bumps, bruises, and abrasions all over, especially on their necks. I can't even imagine what would have happened if they actually did something wrong.
So today we went and filed a police report where we were told this is a frequent problem that the Long Branch PD has heard of. They advised us to contact the detective bureau and give them the names of the bouncers. I'm trying to post my experience everywhere possible as I would hate for this to happen again. My friends and family are good people and do not deserve this type of treatment. No one deserves to be assaulted when they're not hurting anyone or a threat to anyone. Please do not book your event with Avenue! I would hate for another bride to feel the way I did that night. Everything would have been

As soon as I was the roof top lounge I had to get married here. My fiance was in Iraq so I was doing all the leg work for the wedding and he was checking the perspective places out online. When I told him about this place he researched it and told me that there were other bad reviews, but I went ahead and booked it anyway because it was exactly what my dream beach wedding looked like. That was the biggest mistake I ever made, and unfortunately for me, I'll have to live with the bad memories of that day for the rest of my life.
First of all, we booked our wedding in the winter for our summer wedding. I was told that because the menu changes seasonally I would not be able to sample the food until closer to our date. It's totally scary booking a wedding, putting thousands of dollars down for a deposit, and never even trying the food. When we did attempt to make an appointment for a food sampling, we were told that they only do them on Monday and Thursday between the hours of 11 and 3. (Or something of that nature. Bottom line, during the day, during the week.) First of all, I work full time, as do most other people. That is completely inconvenient. Secondly, We don't live anywhere near New Jersey. I had to take off work and make a special trip to New Jersey to try to the food. The food we tried at the sampling was very good. It wasn't anything that we were interested in having at our wedding however, because they chose to serve us the options that cost additional money. We also were not permitted to sample any of the hor d'orves...which in my opinion are the most important part since that's what most people fill up on. On the day of our wedding, the petit entrees were half the size of the samples we saw at our tasting.
The general manager, Neil, is a complete a**hole. On the day of our wedding we showed up early to have pictures taken. Not only were there people sunbathing on the deck 2 hours before my wedding was supposed to begin, but we were asked to leave because we weren't permitted to be there yet. As guests began showing up, the waitstaff began serving drinks. No problem there...until we were told that we would have to cut our reception 1/2 hour short because the waitstaff began serving drinks before the designated time. Neil was insistent on this up until my parents threatened to sue for breach of contract. Yes, at my wedding my parents were in a verbal altercation with the manager of our venue and had to threaten to sue the company. Neil also stalked around our reception the entire evening glaring at everyone.
We had 2 flower girls in our wedding, ages 3 and 4. An open bar came with our package which was great for our friends and family. At one point, my husband's daughter, our 4 year old flower girl, asked for a coke. My husband went to the bar to get it for her. He order a coke. He was given a rum and coke. He was not drinking rum and cokes, so there is no chance that they could have just thought he was ordering a drink for himself. If she had not complained that her coke didn't taste right, she could have ingested an entire rum and coke, which could have potentially been at the very least dangerous if not lethal. Our guests were physically pushed out at 1 minute past our allotted time.
