Due to our family's move out of the area, we will be closing our business in November 2026. We are not booking any events for Nov/Dec 2026 and beyond. We still have a few dates open this summer and fall!
Based in Slater, Iowa, B Fabulous Catering brings bold flavor and heartfelt hospitality to weddings and events across Central Iowa. Known for our mouthwatering barbecue and diverse menu options, we serve everything from intimate gatherings to large, fun receptions — all with the same dedication to quality and care.
Owners Billy and Deanna share a passion for food as a way to bring people together. With over 15 years of experience and hundreds of weddings behind them, they’ve built a reputation for personalized service, flavorful dishes, and a warm, down-to-earth approach that helps couples feel confident and relaxed on their big day.
At B Fabulous Catering, we offer private tasting events so you and your partner can select the perfect entrees and sides for your celebration. On your wedding day, our team takes care of delivery, setup, and cleanup — so you can focus on what really matters. e to food. It was my understanding (& on my invoice) that my guests, who were vegan/vegetarian, were going to get a vegan burger AND a hearty salad. Unfortunately, that was not the case. They did not have the hearty salad and instead of an actual vegan burger, the “burger” was literally just plain vegan patty. When asked, they simply had forgotten the rest of the burger. And when asked about the salad, they said they didn’t have it, which wasn’t true because the day after when we went to go pick up the leftovers at the venue, the hearty salad was in the fridge in its original container with the dressing….
It was very sad, as the bride, to see my guests feel like they had no food options for them at my own wedding, even though we had planned on that. My bridesmaid, who was a vegan, had to reheat some leftovers she had from the night before because the patty was not filling enough for her. I felt extremely bad.

Bfab was also unable to meet my request to have one of the BBQ sauces we choose labeled as tomato free, so the father of the bride (who's allergic) wasn't sure which one was safe on the day of so he ended up going without sauce. He was the one who paid for the catering, so I found this very disappointing.

We booked B Fab for our wedding after enjoying their food at a friends wedding. However, at our friends wedding and my own, they ran out of meat, despite us ordering for 160 guests...
when we only had 120 there. There is no reason meat should run out, ESPECIALLY as they have someone scooping it. Not sure if it’s a training error, but it would be beneficial for staff to only give out one piece of meat per guest, or make enough for the wedding size. As stated above we ordered food for 160 guests and only had 120 there, and we were sent home with 2 pieces of chicken breast and no pulled pork.
My other friend is getting married in the fall of next year and I recommended she choose somewhere else for their catering as BFABs numbers and calculations don’t correlate with food and guests. Staff was friendly, food was good and the process was ok, but I unfortunately would not recommend to anyone who’s looking for catering as you can’t rely on the quantity of meat you will get.
