We were absolutely happy with B Fabulous Catering! The food was so delicious and all the guests kept telling us how they loved it! They were also so helpful with helping put cupcakes out on display for us even though they weren't their cupcakes that they made. It saved us one little step. They were also amazing as they helped us out by getting their a little earlier so that my husband and I could enjoy eating in private together before the reception started!

They made the whole process super easy! We got to taste all the food we were interested in and even more that we weren't really sure about. All of their food was delicious and we wish we could have had all of it at our wedding. They delivered the food on time and everything was exactly as promised. I would recommend them to anyone for any occasion!

Food was great. Our guests loved their brisket. However I did have a few issues with them. As a bride, I wanted to accommodate my guests as much as possible, especially when it came to food. It was my understanding (& on my invoice) that my guests, who were vegan/vegetarian, were going to get a vegan burger AND a hearty salad. Unfortunately, that was not the case. They did not have the hearty salad and instead of an actual vegan burger, the “burger” was literally just plain vegan patty. When asked, they simply had forgotten the rest of the burger. And when asked about the salad, they said they didn’t have it, which wasn’t true because the day after when we went to go pick up the leftovers at the venue, the hearty salad was in the fridge in its original container with the dressing…. It was very sad, as the bride, to see my guests feel like they had no food options for them at my own wedding, even though we had planned on that. My bridesmaid, who was a vegan, had to reheat some leftovers she had from the night before because the patty was not filling enough for her. I felt extremely bad. Additionally, some of the emails that were exchanged back and forth were not professional whatsoever. In some of the exchanges, they made me out to look like I didn’t know math.

They were very great to work with from the beginning. The communication was easy the invoice was clear and we were able to make the changes we needed as time went on and it got closer to the wedding date. But most important the food was delicious. Our wedding was a bit cold and windy but they had everything set up hot and easy for the guest to access. The quality was amazing for such a difficult day and I was definitely a full and happy bride.

Service was great and service was even better. Would hire them again for big events. The owner was at our event and they specifically came to check on us!

I do not recommend using bfab for catering. After booking for our wedding we read reviews online about portion sizes being off, which worried me so we chose to pay for extra portions ahead of time to mitigate, but they STILL ran out of both entrees before all the guests were through the line. And this was with bfab staff serving! I was devastated to hear some of our guests did not get served a main dish. Bfab was also unable to meet my request to have one of the BBQ sauces we choose labeled as tomato free, so the father of the bride (who's allergic) wasn't sure which one was safe on the day of so he ended up going without sauce. He was the one who paid for the catering, so I found this very disappointing. Food was okay, but no chance for seconds (or firsts, for some). Hopefully they figure out the portion sizing and are able to improve service.

B Fab BBQ was amazing, and I'd 10000% recommend them for any wedding or catering services. From communication, to pricing and food quality, all exceeded our expectations. We received nothing but endless comments from our guests stating how good the food was, even from those with dietary restrictions. Thank you for making our day so fabulous!!

We chose Ames as our destination for our daughter's wedding. It was a midpoint location for both families. Since we were not from this area, we looked into B Fabulous Catering from ratings on The Knot. We set up a time to do taste testing and to decide our menu which was great. We found them professional, efficient, easy to work with. I would recommend them for any event.

My husband and I had the best experience at our free tasting. We got to try so many different options that honestly it was hard to choose! Everything was delicious! We postponed our wedding reception due to Covid-19 and B Fabulous BBQ was extremely accommodating and flexible as we figured out how to change our plans. The food was a hit and most people went back for seconds! We wish we lived closer so we could eat there more often. But definitely the most affordable catering option we found! We didn't even look anywhere else. Highly recommend if you're in central Iowa!

B fabulous was great! They communicated well, were very flexible and super friendly. The food was delicious and not too terribly priced either. We did the buffet style and had bacon cheeseburger, Turkey, mashed potatoes and macaroni cheese corn all of it was amazing! Even had multiple people go up for seconds! If you’re looking for a BBQ themed caterer that’s fairly priced I recommend B-Fabulous!

Deanna, Billy, and the rest of the B Fabulous staff provided us with exactly what we were looking for for our wedding. The service, promptness, and flexibility they demonstrated was unmatched. The amount of comments our guests had about the quality of food and how delicious everything was blew us away as much as the taste of the food. We chose the bbq beef, chicken, and veggie bow-tie pasta and all of them were a hit amongst all of our family and friends. I cannot recommend them enough for helping make our wedding night perfect.

We booked B Fab for our wedding after enjoying their food at a friends wedding. However, at our friends wedding and my own, they ran out of meat, despite us ordering for 160 guests when we only had 120 there. There is no reason meat should run out, ESPECIALLY as they have someone scooping it. Not sure if it’s a training error, but it would be beneficial for staff to only give out one piece of meat per guest, or make enough for the wedding size. As stated above we ordered food for 160 guests and only had 120 there, and we were sent home with 2 pieces of chicken breast and no pulled pork. My other friend is getting married in the fall of next year and I recommended she choose somewhere else for their catering as BFABs numbers and calculations don’t correlate with food and guests. Staff was friendly, food was good and the process was ok, but I unfortunately would not recommend to anyone who’s looking for catering as you can’t rely on the quantity of meat you will get.

B Fab. was absolutely affordable and delicious. I got SO MANY compliments on our food that night, and several nights after. You definitely get the biggest bang for your buck here. They are also so awesome to work with and do whatever it takes to make the couple happy. They are extremely flexible, couldn’t have asked for a better caterer!!

This place has some if the best food! We were so excited to find them for our wedding and knew we wanted them right away (and my husband can be picky). They were organized and answered all our questions. When we had to postpone our wedding they were very wasy to work with! Later, we ended up canceling our wedding and B Fabulous was willing to give us our full deposit back. I will reccomend both their catering and restaurant to anyone I know. They have amazing food and great customer service!

We had the BEST experience working with B Fabulous Catering! Due to COVID we had to re-plan our whole wedding 6 weeks out, including finding a new caterer. They were absolutely amazing, extremely responsive, and very punctual. Not to mention their food was delicious!! I regret not filling my whole plate with their mac & cheese (my husband is still hearing about this). They were great to work with and very easy to get along with. With smiling faces their staff helped serve our guests to give them all the best experience possible. (And did I mention their mac & cheese?!) 10/10 recommend hiring B Fabulous Catering for all of your culinary needs for your event!!

Deanna and Billy were great to work with. We had the smoked pork, herb chicken baby potatoes , cheesey mac and corn with mixed greens. Everything tasted wonderful, serving went quickly and was priced right. Would definitely have them cater again

I had B fabulous catering for my outdoor wedding. They were very nice to serve to us even though it was buffet style because of Covid. The food was amazing! My only con is that the staff was very rude and acted like they did not want to be there. Someone came to ask for seconds and they were told no even after everyone got their food. We had so much food at the end that we didn't know what to do with it. I wish they gave extra food for seconds if people wanted it.

They were quick to respond, worked with different demands we asked of them and the food is absolutely delicious. We had veggie bow tie pasta (for my veggie friends), Chicken alfredo, cheesy mashed potatoes, greens with really yummy ranch and dinner rolls. They were able to supply a dinner for gluten intolerant and dairy intolerant family members. I intend to go back every so often to get the Chicken Alfredo. It was so delicious and heats up really well after. We ended up with a lot left over so let us they put the food into containers for us to take home. Billy and Deanna are perfect to go to for your wedding!

They take forever to respond to catering inquiry’s and I wouldn’t waste the time because the meat is dry and mediocre. Go anywhere else.

From the initial tasting, to the planning, to the final arrangements, to the night of the event Billy and his staff were professional, engaging, and helpful. They always responded to us quickly. We had The Flashy package with 3 main dishes and 4 side dishes. The main dishes were smoked brisket, baked chicken, and chicken breast w/ herbed cream sauce. The side were herbed green beans, cheesy mashed potato casserole, mac and cheese corn, and broccoli salad. The food was amazing! The guests were raving about it, especially the chicken breast with herbed cream sauce! We would use them again, no doubt! B Fabulous did the catering for our September 28th Wedding. The staff was a pleasure to deal with and the food was incredible! Our guests are all talking about the mac and cheese corn!

We were on a budget since we were planning an out-of-state wedding, but we knew we had to have BBQ. We searched the best reviewed BBQ caterers in the area and there was B Fabulous. It feels like fate that we found them because we couldn’t be more happy with everything. The whole process - from the taste test to the discussions about the menu to the actual dinner - was nothing short of amazing. Billy and Deanna are the kindest people you will ever meet. They made the whole process stress-free and practically seamless. They were patient with our menu changes and quick to respond to all of our questions. The taste test was one of the best parts because we were able to sample the whole menu! It gave us so many options that we struggled to choose our favorites. In the end, we decided on the pulled pork, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, Mac n Corn , and salad. Everyone LOVED everything! They’re still talking about it and we’re still craving the Mac n corn. We can’t wait for our next trip to Iowa so we can stop in for lunch. :) Whether you’re planning a wedding or other event, I truly can’t recommend B Fabulous enough. They’re a family run business and they’re truly the best people who make the best BBQ!

I can't stress how amazing the food is. I heard nothing but raving reviews from guests at our dinner. My photographer even said that through her 26 weddings that season, B-Fabulous had the best brisket and I completely believe it! We also had smoked pork loin, green bean casserole, mashed potato casserole (basically the inside of a twice baked potato), Italian/balsamic pasta salad (on of my favorite pasta salads ever), and corn bread muffins. We over estimated on food but I wasn't complaining at all! We had yummy leftovers for a week and a half and I never got tired of it. That is a true sign of hands down delicious food if you ask me. Would highly recommend!

My husband and I had B Fabulous BBQ cater our wedding in 2015 and it was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning experience. It was really important to us to find a gay friendly, strong community focused business to have cater our wedding and B Fabulous BBQ is exactly that. Billy and Deanna are two of the nicest and hardest working people we met during our wedding planning experience. They were super accommodating to all of our requests and took time to get to know us as a couple. During our wedding day, everything went so smoothly and that is all thanks to B Fabulous BBQ. I heard so many positive comments from our guests about how friendly the service was during our wedding. In addition to reliable, friendly service, the food is amazing! We got a few smoked meats with BBQ sauce and a few hot sides. The food was such a hit with guests that they were eating the left overs later that evening because they couldn’t get enough. I can’t recommend B Fabulous BBQ enough. Choosing them supports local business and you can depend on them to deliver an amazing meal for your big day!

Our wedding was a super small affair (~50 people to feed), and everything was perfect, but our family is still taking about the fried chicken, Mac and cheese corn, and veggie bowtie pasta. They were great caterers, extremely friendly, and it gave our wedding reception something extra that most people don't. I love steak, baked chicken, and roast beef as much as the next guy, but I've never had better fried chicken in my life and having it on my wedding day was the absolute best. On top of it all, we saved a ton of money on food because they charged way less than any of the other caterers that we looked at. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

They were the cheapest caterer we could find which worried me. Going in for our tasting I saw their little restaurant which worried me even more cuz they are just a little whole in the wall, But they are seriously the most delicious food I have ever eaten!! I wish I lived in Iowa just so I could eat there everyday! Everyone was raving about the food and going back for fourths and fifths. Plus Billy and Deana were both very nice and professional while still being totally normal approachable people. She showed up and set up and stayed and served everyone and they even gave us endorsed gifts which I don't know if thats the usual thing or not. I only had one problem with them and that was that I felt like they were using my wedding as an advertising opportunity. I had already told everyone about them and I would've given their name out to any guest who needed it but they brought along a stack of mini flyers and business cards that were then left behind for our guests to take, but what really happened was that there was more mess for us to clean up at the end of the night. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a caterer.

We loved everything about it and our guests were obsessed with the Mac&Cheese Corn. They were very easy to get in touch with and they always responded quickly! I highly suggest B Fabulous!

Billy and Deanna are simply amazing. They were so nice and did everything we asked without batting an eye. The guests couldn't stop talking about how amazing the food was. They even helped my assistant get ready for the reception to start - lighting candles and just being all around really nice and polite to all our guests while maintaining the professionalism. If you book them for your wedding I know they will make sure they are a part of why your day goes well :)

We worked with Billy at B Fabulous on a custom dinner for our barn wedding. The food was amazing and was within our budget. The service during the entire process was incredible. I would HIGHLY recommend using them for your wedding.

B Fab was amazing to work with! They were always easy to contact and had great communication throughout the whole planning & day! They NEVER had us confused with someone else or had our order "screwed up"... as I found many vendors seem to do... Many of our guests commented how wonderful the food was at our reception! I would consider myself a "Texas brisket" connoisseur, and my fiance & I tried many different BBQ caterers throughout the Midwest when planning our wedding. B Fab is hands down the best BBQ caterer in the Midwest! They also were one of the only places to offer 3 sides, 2 meats, salad, and cornbread muffins for under $10/person! We also had guests raving about the cornbread muffins and even the hotdogs (which had actually been brought for the kids-- but the adults loved them too!) Broccoli salad and mashed potatoes were also delicious! I have eaten at B Fab in the restaurant in Huxley several times, and have never had a bad meal! Both owners even stayed & served people as they went through the line! B Fab also went above and beyond "a normal caterer" because they cut & served our wedding cake for us (which of course was brought by another vendor)! We can't say enough about how great B Fab is! Thank you B Fab for everything you did to make our wedding reception meal absolutely delicious!

We chose B Fabulous BBQ because my husband and I wanted a meal that screamed IOWA. We had friends/family visiting from Mexico, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and many other states. We couldn't have been happier. People are still talking about the food and how delicious it was and its been almost one year since our wedding. We made sure we chose 2 different kind of meats with 3 sides (choices for everyone). We also had B Fabulous do something out of the ordinary for our appetizers (Homemade Guacamole and Pico de gallo and chips/salsa) and it was a success. Again, many compliments from everyone. I will definitely have B Fabulous cater another event for me and recomment them to family and friends. Thank you B Fabulous for making our wedding day special. The service was phenomenal and the pricing was definitely in our wedding budget.
