To begin with, honestly, I don't know where to start. Mike was super friendly when we spoke to him over the phone and for all of our planning. However, it was extremely difficult and frustrating communicating with him and his company. We asked ...
for a quote for rentals which turned into over a month's worth of waiting for correspondence only to be told his warehouse didn't have what we wanted. It was very important for us to know the exact DJ who was going to be at our wedding and Mike told us on several occasions that it would in fact be him. We had several zoom meetings where we went over specific details (when to start/stop songs, how we would signal when to transition, etc) and then on our wedding day another DJ showed up who we had never met or spoken to. He was not given the appropriate information from Mike so he did the introductions out of order, played the wrong songs for our mother/son and father/daughter dances, and he was RUDE when we (as the bride and groom) went to him and asked him to play specific songs that were ON OUR PLAYLIST! Many of the songs that he selected on his own were songs that we had never even heard of before. We feel he did not do a good job of reading the crowd and playing things our guests would have wanted to hear. He played some version of the Electric Slide for what felt like 20 minutes. Overall we were not happy with the DJ services and we were really disappointed in Mike's lack of communication. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this vendor. (All of our other vendors received 5 stars and we were completely happy with them but B_entertained was a disaster)

With the pandemic last year still in full swing we did experience staffing shortages in our office and warehouse that did lead to a delay in response times and for this we are truly sorry. This included myself which succumb to covid the week of your reception and is why we put our back up DJ in place. We did send out an email prior to the wedding informing you of the change but did not hear back so we thought that this wouldnt have been an issue and apologize for assuming so. As our staff goes through a vigorous training process and all the information was provided to your DJ prior we appreciate the feedback and will be going over your concerns with them as to make sure this doesnt happen again.

illed out form which never made an appearance. The best man ended up running all over CT to find a speaker for the exchange of vows, and the ceremony was held up an hour. The only reason the best man did this was because Mike said his warehouse was 1.5 hours away and there was nothing he could do. If he had even made an offer to correct the problem to start with, it would have shown some empathy. When I spoke to him all he said was, "They signed a contract". After the 5th time of him saying that I walked away. He never contacted the venue to confirm anything. People barely danced because there was no time, and music played loudly through the speeches at dinner. He was inattentive, unprepared, and uncaring. For $1,500.00, this was an EXTREME waste of money and detrimentally affected my daughter's wedding and stress levels. Caveat Emptor.

hem six times by email, twice by text and once by phone to set up a final meeting to go over the details for her reception to which we received no response. We did not hear back from her or her husband until 9pm the night before the reception when they emailed us to inform us they dropped the ball on filling out their planner, indeed needed us for the ceremony and then submitted the wedding planner forms you mentioned above. Up until this point we did not have any information so we had to work all night to gather their music and didnt receive their final ceremony songs and spotify lists for dinner until after midnight that night when your son-in-law texted it to us. Knowing how important the ceremony plays in any reception part of our pre-booking process is we ask if our services are needed during the ceremony in order to determine if any additional equipment will be needed. When speaking with your son-in-law prior to booking he informed us that this was not going to be case and declined adding on the ceremony system to his package at that time. Once we did find out that our services were needed we explained that they would need the additional ceremony system and we verbally confirmed that the location was in the garden next to the Eolia Mansion (which we do know has power available to us since we have played at the mansion before) but unfortunately he actually meant the garden down by the water which does not. With no time to check in with the venue itself, as we do so with every venue that we perform ceremony services at, since it was the night before the reception, we only had the option to go off of the information provided to us by your son-in-law and daughter. Upon arrival at the venue two hours prior to the start of the reception we checked in with the venue director, as we always do, who informed us that the ceremony is down by the water and not in the garden next to the mansion. We immediately approached the groom, and his best man who was with him, to inform him of the situation and go over the options we have. After informing them the best man jumped on his phone and found that there was a home depot about 15mins away from the mansion. As I was trying to explain the options available the best man said he spoke with home depot and that they had a generator available which he was going to go and rent. I still got on the phone with our office and local network and upon locating a generator myself I approached your son in law and informed him that I could have one on its way in time for the ceremony. He told me his best man was already on his way to home depot and we should be all set to go. After hearing this I proceeded down to the ceremony site and fully set up the ceremony system that we promised, with mic stand at the alter, to only have the groom run down to us and tell us that the best man arrived at home depot and they in fact didnt have any generators left for rent. At this point it was about 20 mins to the start of the ceremony and I got back on my phone to see if my team could still get a generator to the site. We still could but upon informing your son-in-law he said it would arrive too late and that his best man was at best buy now purchasing a blue tooth speaker. When the best man arrived back ,about 45 mins after the ceremony was supposed to start, we transferred all the ceremony music via dropbox to him so that it could be played clearly throughout the ceremony, since he had the best service out of anyone at the water front between myself, you son in law and him, without any added issues and the mic stand was removed since it wouldnt serve any purpose at that point. After the ceremony you approached us during cocktail hour and for over 20 mins expressed your discontent about how everything turned out at the ceremony to which I tried to explain what happened. You told me that I was not hired to entertain but provide solutions to any problems that arise to which I responded that the only way to perform the services we were hired for was to have power provided to us as it was outlined in our contract they signed. I even expressed how sorry I was for the miscommunication and that I had already offered to refund your son in law and daughter the money we had charged them for the ceremony system as compensation. You stated that this wasnt good enough and that I would be owing you for the time and gas that the best man spent. Since the timeline we had put together the night before was completely off at this point I checked in regularly with your son in law as well as the best man to inform them of the time and to let me know when they wanted to start everything. Speeches were originally supposed to be out on the patio where we were set up so that the best man and maid of honor could have use of the mic during them but was changed when they were done during dinner inside the mansion. Had I been informed that the speeches were happening the music would have been turned off so that everyone could clearly hear and was the case when your son in law did let us know. Once dinner was completed we had the couple cut the cake, get introduced, do their first dance as well as their parent dances and even had your daughter toss her bouquet before we opened the dance floor to the rest of the guests. I did play several dance songs and when we had spoke the night before your son in law mentioned that the cotton eye joe was special to them since they heard it in their travels all over the world. With this knowledge I started the cotton eye joe and was approached by your son in law to stop the song and that they were going to be wrapping up the evening so we played through and started the song they picked as their final song of the evening. As it stands we have spoken with your daughter and son in law who indeed said they had a good time and even apologized for not contacting us sooner to go over the details. Again I do truly apologize for not living up to your expectations and please feel free to reach out to me directly if you would like to discuss further.

d keeping system, which forced us to verify our requests several times, because of slow responses. They promised us a particular color for our tablecloths, and then didn't have a record of it. Then just days before the wedding, we had to change gears because it wasn't available. While Mike was very professional on the phone and in person before the event, we had some conflicts after the event. Two of the chairs were either broken upon delivery, or they broke easily during the wedding. And somehow the string lights they set up pulled apart from one another, and our venue had to connect them together with small extension cords, so they would all light up. In the process they had to remove a prong from the string light power connectors, so that their extension cords would work. When we reported these issues, Mike was very defensive, insisting that none of it was his fault. Some of these damages (such as broken bulbs) were our fault, but others were distinctly not. Nonetheless we were charged for the damaged chairs and the damage to the string lights. Contrary to what it may seem, the damage waiver is actually a cleaning fee for the table cloths, and doesn't cover accidental damage to the rental equipment. It seems that B_entertained is attempting to dabble in too many elements of event services, including DJs, photo booths, lighting, photography, videography and more in addition to rentals. As a result, I felt Mike was spread too thin during the busy season, and couldn't give each matter the attention it needed. I can't speak to any of the other services, but I would recommend going somewhere else for your event rental needs.

hat before about our responsiveness. Not only can you call and email us but you can reach us via text message and we have an online system that you can access 24/7 to confirm your rental details. In regards to the linen color, our contract specifies that all final orders need to be received 14 days prior to your event date and unfortunately you did not confirm until the week of the reception. We are always willing to be flexible and try to accommodate last minute requests but there was nothing we could do in this situation. In regards to the broken chairs and disconnected lighting, we had delivered the equipment to your venue 3 days early as per your request, and at that time we checked all the equipment and setup the lighting. We never received any communication from you or your venue regarding any damaged equipment or disconnected lighting after. If we had known, our team would have happily returned to the site to fix any issues. The only communication we received from you was on the day after the reception, where you indicated that all items had been broken down and in good order. Only upon pick up was it discovered that there were damaged items including the removal of the ground prong on all 12 strands of our bistro lighting. We understand your venue acted in your best interest to ensure the the lighting was on throughout the reception which may have been out of your control. That is why we only charged you for 5 of the 12 damaged light strands. Unfortunately all 12 of the bistro light stands are no longer safe to use without the 3rd prong and the 5 you were charged for are the strands that no longer turn on at all. As you had mentioned you agree that some of these damages were your fault which is why we are only charging you for the 5 that no longer work. All the damages were documented on site with pictures of the damaged items attached in our invoice that was sent. Overall I'm glad that you had a good reception and thank you for letting us be a part of it. I hope this addresses some of the concerns you outlined. discuss our timeline, entrance songs, and even name pronunciation for members of our bridal party for the introductions. Having met with Mike and gone over all of the details, we felt pretty comfortable with how things would run on our wedding day, however; due to a last minute injury Mike was unable to perform at the wedding and assured us he would send another DJ in his place. Having only 2 days notice of this before the wedding, our time was rather limited so there was no way to meet with our new DJ, Ryan. When we did get to speak with him on the phone, we had hoped to go over the same details that we had with Mike but were told he didn't have all of the paperwork in front of him when we spoke. My now husband spoke with him, but the conversation was rather short and we assumed he would contact us again with questions if he had them, however that did not happen. When it came time for our introductions at the reception, most of our bridal parties last names were not announced and the ones that were announced were pronounced incorrectly. We had also mentioned to Mike and selected it in our wedding packet that we were thinking of having a more laid back energy since it was a smaller wedding of only about 50 people, consisting mainly of family members. We felt at times during the reception that this wasn't what was occurring. One other problem we encountered was Ryan did not know the correct timeline for the wedding. Originally, on our timeline it was assumed that our end time was 8:30pm when in reality it was 8:00pm. We let Mike know this early on at our meeting and he told us he had fixed it so we didn't see it as a problem. I'm not sure if Ryan received an old copy, but this lead to our chosen last song of the evening to not be played which was a big disappointment. We really do appreciate Ryan filling in for us last minute as no one plans something like this happening and hope that Mike is ok. I'm sure our case was rare in that a DJ was switched last minute and I understand that things happen, however after spending a good chunk of money for the DJ services we were really hoping for more attention to detail.
Mike was awesome! His vibe and energy was fantastic, I got multiple people saying the playlist was amazing, and more than anything he was VERY flexible with our 1000 changes we requested.
Mike was the best! He really understood what we wanted. He was the right level of professional and fun for our guests. He played everything we wanted and even accommodated our weird entrance requests. We'd definitely work with him again.

Mike arranged a phone call between me and Rob so we could chat regarding our music requests, and he was just as energetic and professional as Mike! The props were a joke, pretty much 10 hats were the only options. I had asked previously if props would be provided as I wanted to ensure there were robust options, however was very disappointed! Thank god I had a friend just have a wedding which gave me some they had… I don’t necessarily mind the lack of props, however if I was told the selection would be limited, I would have prepared more.
The attendant… or lack thereof… Mike was kind enough to point out these are self-sufficient booths which his staff is really there for any mechanical issues, etc. That is exactly what you get. The guy was on his phone the entire time, ate a meal which I didn’t allot for (he took another vendors) and was not attentive at all. My guests would randomly come up to me throughout the night as it was the running joke that the guy was MIA at all points of the night. I had given a tip envelope to one of my groomsmen that refused to give it to him.
The booth itself was not great. Only two people can fit into the standard non-open booth. I’ve been to weddings where you can get 3-5 people and get great photos… not possible with these machines. Two people is ideal, 2.5 is max so you won’t get any of those group shots with someone photobombing the side.
Finally we get down to the contract mistake. Mike is correct, we signed a contract for 4 hours, 7-11…somewhere between 1-2 weeks prior to our wedding we asked to move it to 8-12 which was confirmed in email by Mike. Unfortunately 11 rolled around and the attendant booked it out of there... He argued we were wrong until we sent him the chain of him confirming and have not yet heard back. Not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, however it shows the lack of organization the company has.
I would never recommend this company for the above reasons. If you already booked a booth, I would try paying the 50.00 to get open air… I imagine all pictures of props you see were brought from the bride/groom because the pictures on the website are absolutely nothing like what we actually received. Sad part is that these were memories we will never be able to capture. Good Luck.

First of all there must have be...
en some sort of confusion about the booth you had in mind. In my records when we spoke I had described to you our enclosed style photo booth and directed you to our site which shows the picture as well as this description: "a bench seated booth with curtains or our traditional arcade style." With this style of booth it is built to have two people sit comfortably during pictures but we have had up to 6 adults fit into a single photo with many photo bombs as you can see in your online album and the over 80 photo strips that were taken. I am not sure what you were expecting but in the future I will keep your comments in mind and try to make it more clear.
As you mentioned our booths are top of line units, completely self sufficient and do not require an attendant to operate. Although you are absolutely correct that the attendant should be more attentive. He is one of our main staff who has done tons of receptions so I am surprised but we are working with him to ensure this does not happen again.
In regards to the props, we provide a mix of different items but unfortunately we cannot guarantee what exact props will be there. Some guests love the props so much they never bring them back. We lay the props on a table for your guests to choose from but do not put them all out as to not crowed your memory book and keep a clean look. If you had asked the attendant he would have happily pulled out more.
As far as the timing that was a disconnect that is unusual for us. I do apologies for that. Even though the attended did shut down at the original end time I know he got the booth back up and running and stayed an additional half hour to make up for the confusion.
I do apologies that you were disappointed. Your wedding is one of the most important days and the last thing we want is to cause you any additional stress. I would love the opportunity to make it up to you. Thanks again for taking the time to give us the invaluable feedback.

He also DJ'ed the music for the ceremony, which was mostly correct- one little blip of a song played twice, but I was probably the only one who noticed.
However, the reason I am only giving three stars is due to the song selection.
I communicated with Mike over the phone. I told him the genre of music I liked, alternative, and that I did not really want the cheesy organized dance songs played at the reception (only one or two specific songs at MOST).
I asked if I could send him a playlist for the cocktail hour and reception via Spotify. I was told he didn't have it, but I could send him a link.
First of all, I think that anyone in the music profession ought to have access to and be up to date on all music applications. With Spotify I practically did the job for him making an entire playlist for the wedding and unfortunately it was a waste of time. But I needed someone to orchestrate a party of 200 people, otherwise I could have gotten the music I wanted with a laptop.
Yes, He was able to get the cocktail hour songs, which he did play (some songs two or even three times :/), and told me the DAY before the wedding he was not able to access the reception list. So, because I had spent a lot of time choosing a playlist for the big day I sent him screenshots of the list again and hardly any were played.
Instead, He did play ALL of the cheesy organized dance songs, though I specifically stated I didn't like them. I even suggested the genre of music I liked, alternative, if he didn't know what to play-- And though he didn't do that, he did play "Stanky Leg" which I am positive I never would have requested at my wedding.
So while I didn't like a lot of the music played, Mike was friendly and a great MC who kept everything on track. I only wish the communication was better. Don't tell someone the day before a wedding you can't get their songs, esp. when you could have easily downloaded Spotify much sooner! ;)

I know that having a generator is probably a once in a lifetime miracle but Mike brought the whole reception back from the depths of wedding day hell by working with us, by candle light, to get all the things we wanted and even went as far as having our WHOLE wedding grab the candle's off the tables and stand around the dance floor during our parent dances. Owner DJ Mikey Mike, worked as a roadie starting at age 12 for a mobile DJ service learning the ins and outs out of stereo and professional equipment. By age 14 had a set of old grandma style record players, a two channel basic mixer and some garage sale records. At age 16, after a couple years in the business, working a microphone and CD players, always practicing turntablism, the decision was made to start B_entertained as a kick start to bigger things. At age 17 established residences in two major home town bars and by age 19, after a move to CT, has performed at 1500+ wedding receptions.
