Babette's Gowns

Bad experience made worse by horrible customer service! -10/10, do not recommend! I purchased my wedding dress here in 2018. It was a positive experience and I left a happy customer. Fast forward a year later, I scheduled my first fitting. Since I opted for the layaway program, everyone I’d spoken with on the phone told me I could pay the rest of the balance anytime, no problem. We arrived promptly for our appointment, escorted to the bridal suite. My mom, friend and I all waited patiently to be seen. Twenty minutes go by, no one had checked on us. Then this guy walks in, asks when I purchased the dress and what it looks like. Confused, I tell him last April and showed him a picture. At this point, I’m wondering why my dress isn’t hanging in the suite, ready for alterations. He proceeds to tell me he can’t find it and it could have been put back out on the floor and sold. We were all shocked as he seemed to not care and told us he’d continue to look. Considering I had made this appointment two weeks in advance, why were they just now trying to locate my dress?! Another 20 minutes go by and he comes back with a shop girl, asks to see my picture again and tells me they still can’t find it. At this point, we are all starting to get upset and I’m trying not to panic. After being there for an hour and 45 minutes, we decided we’d waited long enough with no answers, we got up to leave. My mom said something to a group of girls in the showroom and he proceeded to yell at her to get out. My friend and I turned around to address him because we wanted an explanation on what the hell was going on. He told us he had been the manager there for 20 years, which completely contradicted his complete lack of professionalism in handling this situation. I asked him why if I made my appointment two weeks ago, my dress waiting for me to begin alterations? He had no response. But he did tell us at least 3x that he was leaving the next day to visit his son whom he hadn’t seen in a year. Not sure what that had to do with my missing dress, but ok. He also tried to manipulate the conversation when I told him if he couldn’t find it, I wanted my money back. My friend stepped in to say “we get you have a life but this is her wedding dress and you’re the manager. How are you going to fix this? What’s your cell number? How late is the shop open?” etc. This was a very emotional, tense situation made 10x worse by the most unprofessional person I’ve ever dealt with. He never once apologized or tried to deescalate the situation. The only positive part of this nightmare is they did find my dress hours later. I get that things go missing, staff changes, etc. But the fact that we endured hours of unnecessary stress and were treated horribly by management was not worth it at all. Do not go here.

Do NOT use this vendor for bridesmaid dressers. I was appalled by the customer service. I've never seen such bad customer service before. I had 6 bridesmaids, only one lived locally and could try on the dress I ordered by Jenny Yoo. It was not a cheap dress. Out of the 6 bridesmaids, only 1 received the correct sizing of the dress. In fact, my sister, who tried the dress on in the store, was given the wrong size. The other 5 girls had to call with their measurements to order the dresses. I talked with the owner multiple times who said they ordered the dresses based off the sizing book they have in the store. Only problem was that their sizing was COMPLETELY off from what Jenny Yoo's website shows online. Two friends who needed a size 2 were given a 14 and a 16. Another bridesmaid called to order a size 6, even though they recommended an 8, and they still gave her a size 8 anyways. Fortunately, her and one other brides could flip their dresses due to sizing. They only thing that was offered to my bridesmaids was free on-sight alterations. One of the girls lives in Dallas, TX, and they other lives in Washington DC. They were having their dresses altered the night before the wedding. Hemming the dresses was not included in the free alterations. I argued with the owner of the store multiple times. I couldn't believe what such bad customer service I was being offered. The alterations department was great though. They had everything fixed in a timely matter, but the seamstress blatantly stated that based off their measurements, they should have never been ordered a size 14 and 16 dress. Five out of the 6 girls had to have alterations to their dress. Two of them had to pay for it out of their own pocket because of this store's mistakes.

I wanted to leave a quick review to say how helpful Layla and Kristy were on the phone with me. I explained the predicament I was in with having to get a new wedding gown on short notice. They took their time with me on the phone and answered all of my questions thoroughly. They did not seem inconvenienced or in a rush like some places I called. I have not been into the store b/c circumstances changed, but if their in store service is anywhere near their customer service on the phone, it must be great!

I recently got married and got my dress from Babettes. I loved it and got SO many compliments! I would reccomend them to everyone!

I stopped into Babette’s after work a few days ago, “just looking” for the perfect wedding dress. Robert was there to help me, and it was the first time during my dress shopping experience that I felt I was truly listened to in regards to what I wanted and didn’t want. After listening to me describe my venue and my vision, he had the perfect suggestion. I put the dress on and IMMEDIATELY knew it was “the one,” hands down. With zero pressure from Robert, I bought the dress right then and there! I can’t WAIT for it to come in!!

I LOVE BABETTE'S GOWNS!! I can't say enough about the wonderful experience I had shopping for a dress for my son's wedding! Sasha and Teri made amazing recommendations of dresses I would have never selected -- and I ended up struggling with a decision! I LOVED them all! They could not have been sweeter or kinder -- not just with my dress...but recommending shoes and jacket and jewelry...just AMAZING! I haven't have so much fun in forever -- and I felt so loved! THANK YOU for a WONDERFUL experience and I will definitely recommend you to everyone looking for the perfect gown!

Don’t waste your time here. I made an appointment but nobody helped me look for dresses, get them on, etc. the girls looking for prom dresses were all in the bridal section and were being attended to by the staff- it was really ridiculous. The store was also very disheveled with trash everywhere, curtains hiding things and paint cans. Don’t waste your time here. The dresses were not great either. I had a difficult time finding decent ones to try on.

My sister recently got her dress from Babette's. She has an extremely short turnaround between engagement and the wedding - and they did everything they could to make sure it was ready for her big day. They had just a few weeks to do the alterations and would meet her there in the evening after hours for a fitting, if they needed to. Patient and accommodating. Really great to work with (we also got 4 bridesmaid dresses and our Mother of the Bride dress)

I am the MOB and had a very positive experience with this little bridal shop. Greet selection and the staff are all very friendly. Would recommend.

Do not waste your time or your money. I went to look for a wedding gown & was very disappointed. I went here specifically for one dress that was supposed to be there. Needless to say, it wasn't there. The woman that helped me (I believe her bane was Yola) was not helpful at all. She was more concerned with putting dresses away than assisting me. I found myself & my mother attempting to zip up my dresses. She even tossed one of the dresses on the dressing room floor for me to try on. I had no idea where the top or bottom of the dress was. It was a horrible experience & even if I did find a dress that I liked there, there was no way I was spending my money there!!!

Just bought my prom dress at Babette's. The service was fanominal, the workers had lots of patience, and there was an abundance of dresses to choose from. I highly recommend this store! :)

They have a VERY large selection of dresses with a wide range of colors. The employees are very helpful and worked with me the whole time, even picked out a few dresses for me to try - that I liked. Would 10/10 recommend

Great prom shopping today!!!

I walked into Babette’s this evening to find a Mother of the Groom dress as neither of the two I had already purchased felt like the right one. I was greeted by friendly staff and escorted upstairs where I met a bright, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic consultant named Alysia. I brought in style numbers of a couple of dresses I found online and Alysia was very quick and professional in finding similar styles that were complimentary to my shape and sense of style. I am very pleased with the dress I found. Thank you Alysia and Babette’s.

Started off the appointment with a very rude girl at the front desk..then she took me upstairs and told me to start pulling dresses. Maybe I was spoiled from previous shops, but I wanted someone with expertise to pull for me. A second girl came...she was as sweet as pie but it was her 2nd day. I also very much disliked that they didnt really help me get into the dresses and their dressing room was tiny. no bench or anything to put my clothes. A third woman came with a heavy accent and she, too, was very nice. She was attentive and listened to what I had to say. I appreciated her help..but at the end of the day, I found their selection to be very mediocre. I think this is a great place for brides on a very tight budget. Not the right place for me.

Babette's is by far the best place for homecoming dresses! The service is excellent, the staff is helpful, and they have so many dresses to pick from. I definitely recommend it!

When I was searching for my wedding dress, Babette's was the first place I had in mind. My best friend and I would shop there in high school to find her a prom dress and I remembered how unique and beautiful all of the dresses were. My first trip to Babette's, I found my dream dress. My first fitting, I became VERY nervous as they had ordered a size 4 which felt very snug on my body, so they had taken it out half an inch on the inner lining. I also began working out and eating clean. So between the small adjustment, and my fitness routine, the dress fit perfectly. I was so thrilled! I received compliments all night on the dress and how perfect it was. If you're looking for a unique dress, then Babette's is the right place to be. They have nothing but exceptional and stunning gowns!!

It was so easy to find my prom dress from sasha's babettes! The friendly staff helped me find the perfect dress for my senior prom within an hour!

After going to a dress store and receiving horrible service and having no luck with a dress I decided to go to Babette's and look. They had amazing service and helped me find a prom dress that I love and cannot wait to wear.

I was a bridesmaid in two different friends' weddings, and got the bridesmaid dresses for both of them here. We searched other places before coming here and finding our dresses. They had a great selection to choose from , They also do alterations on site which is so convenient! I will definitely be going back when it's time to find my wedding gown!

This place is wonderful! There are over 4,000 prom dresses so your dream dress is bound to be here. I found mine after trying on lots and lots. The workers were patient and honest with me. That's exactly what I need while buying a dress. I love this place and I definitely will be back!! Would recommend.

That bets is absolutely the place to go for any type of formal occasion ! My daughter-in-law got her wedding dress there last year and her bridesmaid dresses. They were absolutely gorgeous gowns . Bet that staff was wonderful and so very kind and helpful ! My daughter-in-law to be got her bridesmaid dresses there, and once again they are absolutely beautiful. I love Babette's, I wouldn't shop anyplace else !!

After searching all the stores in my area, with no luck, I made the 2.5 hour drive to Babette's Gowns... and found the PERFECT dresses for my bridesmaids! I had a Sunday morning appointment with Pam & she was phenomenal to work with! I had brought 3 of my 4 bridesmaids with me and Pam made us all feel welcome, while being fun, professional and helpful!! I was searching for a slate blue colored, long dress for my bridal party, that would be flattering on all figures - Babette's did not let us down! They are the only store that had the color I had been searching for! Pam measured my bridesmaids and took care of everything for me. After the order was placed, the gowns came in sooner than estimated and they are stunning!! I fully recommend Babette's to everyone looking for a gown - wedding/school dance/anything! They are the best!

I was given great help by Lexi with finding dresses of my size and style I wanted. She was very helpful in the process of trying them on and helping me find the right one.
