The ballrooms at Bahia Mar are stunning. Trish went above and beyond to make my daughter’s wedding a dream event. We researched many hotels in Fort Lauderdale and hands down Bahia Mar had the most spectacular indoor and outdoor settings. The food was incredible- our duo of filet mignon and sea bass was absolutely delicious (not to mention the au gratin potatoes and amaretto wedding cake). The main ballroom is a sight to behold with a ceiling decoration that is stunning. The room easily held 155 guests, a photobooth , cold sparks and an 11 piece band on stage, with plenty of room to spare. When we had to change our outdoor ceremony and cocktail plan to indoors at the last minute due to the weather, Trish did everything to make it perfect (and maybe even better!). I highly highly recommend Trish and the Bahia Mar for your big day. It was a dream come true!

Our daughter got married at Bahia Mar on 1/14/23 (the coldest day of the winter!). The setting for the ceremony was absolutely stunning and so many told me it was the most beautiful wedding they’ve ever seen. It was gorgeous! They even let the kids have their dog at the entire wedding including the reception. Trish Miracola was incredible. She and her staff went above and beyond for us the entire time. To keep our guests from freezing to death she scrambled the cocktail hour to inside at the last minute. A bummer we couldn’t utilize the beautiful dock space but what can you do? She has the patience of a saint, I’ll tell you that. The food was great, the view was spectacular and we had a BALL. The ballroom looked so beautiful and we were all very happy with Trish and all the catering staff. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the only issue was with the hotel itself. It is old. It has been updated but it has all the issues that come with its age. I would recommend thoroughly checking the rooms to see if you are ok with what they have to offer. They were short staffed as well, and I have sympathy for that, but it was still a bit of a drag for all the people we had staying there. Again, absolutely no reflection on the wedding itself, it was amazing. Trish, thank you for everything. You are an absolute pro and we really appreciated all your help and kindness. You are phenomenal at what you do!

Mar had the most spectacular indoor and outdoor settings. us put together the wedding of our dreams. The tasting went smoothly, the food was great, the bartenders were friendly and made excellent drinks, the meat and vegetarian options at our reception were delicious, the cake vendor they set us up with was fantastic, and everything was set up perfectly for our rehearsal dinner, wedding day, and farewell brunch including the drinks, food, linens, and service. I would say 100% without a doubt this is the IDEAL venue for for a wedding, and I would book my ceremony and reception here again in a heartbeat, however if you have a lot of out of town guests (which we did) I would strongly suggest creating your room block elsewhere. The only negative experiences we had with Bahia Mar was the result of the room block and our guests' experiences with the rooms. A lot of guests had difficulty being able to book rooms through our room block, and pricing was cheaper on their website than it was for the price the provided for our roomblock. At check in, several people were told that their reservations were not in the system and several more people had issues with no hot water, toilets backing up, etc. Even as the wedding couple, we had a hard time getting in to a room that was in adequate condition. The entire Bahia Mar team was so friendly and tried to help everyone out, but between the difficulty getting everyone in to rooms and the extremely slow elevators, I would pass on having your guests stay at the hotel during your special weekend. Despite our difficulties with the rooms, I want to reiterate that Trish and her team were beyond amazing and made our dream wedding come true.

, Jodi made everything happen. She was always communicative with us and even from our very first meeting, I knew I could trust her with my wedding day. I give high compliments to the rest of the Bahia Mar team, from the chef to the serving staff. I am still receiving compliments on how good the food was and how elegantly decorated the room was. (And I come from a big Italian family that knows good food) Our ceremony was in church, however, Bahia Mar hosted our cocktail hour, reception, and even an after party at their rooftop pool. From the hors d’oeuvres, to the plated dinner, to the late night pizza, grilled cheese, sliders and fries - we enjoyed every bite. Our family and friends made memories of a lifetime with us on our special day, all thanks to Jodi and the rest of the Bahia Mar team.

well. As far as the venue goes, we got married in the gardens out on the intracoastal, had our cocktail hour on the docks, and reception in the ballroom. We got the most gorgeous weather (early December) and the venue was perfect. We were able to customize the menu to be exactly what we wanted (some of the best short rib we've had!) and the portions were much bigger than the typical wedding portions! Everyone was thrilled with their meals. Our out of town guests stayed at the hotel, and we had a beach day, the day after the wedding! We cannot recommend this venue enough!

The only con was during cocktail hour on the dock, there was a yacht there that blocked the pretty ocean view. Bahia Mar can’t do anything about that, but I wish the yachts would be permitted during wedding hours. Other than that- the food & everything was perfect! We couldn’t imagine a more perfect day for our wedding.

We also rented the high tide lounge for an afterparty which was an absolute blast, the pool area was recently renovated which was very nice as well. We had an all around great experience and are so unbelievably happy with having our big day at Bahia Mar!!!

The ceremony space is great for outdoors! They have a nice indoor option, but outside is stunning...it is even more beautiful that it photographs. If Michelle is your contact, you are lucky!! She is wonderful and responsive. She gets the job done and does not miss a touch on any of the details I provided to her. My guests loved the food and each vendor she recommended was great. I was able to book a room block and we even held our brunch there the following day.

She was there every step of the way, available whenever I had even the tiniest question, and helped to alleviate much of the stress typically associated with planning a wedding. Our entire wedding weekend was just perfect! Michelle reached out to all of my vendors the week of and they were all where they needed to be when they needed to be there on my big day! I brought in some of my own decor and Michelle and her team set it up beautifully for us. They totally nailed my vision. The ceremony/cocktail hour location along the intracoastal was just breathtaking. There were plenty of gorgeous backgrounds for photos everywhere we turned. The reception was upstairs in the Grandeview ballroom, which was recently renovated, and is just stunning. The large windows facing the ocean gave it such a pretty ambiance. Michelle made sure we stuck to our timeline and were happy every step of the way. Not to mention that the food was delicious and the servers were friendly! On top of it all, creating the room block was a breeze and everyone had smooth check in experiences. Definitely reserve the ocean front suite, you won't regret it! I got the wedding of my dreams at my ideal venue and I couldn't be happier! A million thank yous to Michelle and her team!

coordinator asked to have a few bottles for my husband and I, we were told no! Had I known that my guests weren't going to be able to take or even have an extra piece of cake or that I wouldn't be able to take what I paid for with me, I would NOT have booked with them! We had to pay for parking as did all the guest. During hair and makeup, i brought Preseco, fruit, breads, and juices. Bahia Mar provided filthy glasses and a dirty room. The supposedly honeymoon suite was extremely filthy and had eater damage so badly one could smell the mold and mildew as you walk up to the door. My wedding party came in from MD with her family and was told her room wasnt ready at 445pm! Once in the room, the photos i saw showed pure dirt. No one had cleaned ir dusted that room fir what looked like two weeks! I was embarrased for my friend who's an impeccable Infection control nurse for our home state. However, The food was truly delicious and in abundance. Everything we ate was so fresh and delicious. Bahia Mar would never ever receive my business again. So i guess we have to find another venue for next year's anniversary dinner.

Truly a blessing to have help us with our day. We will always remember that night and your attentiveness was beyond amazing. With the night being on the same day of the winter boat parade we were expecting craziness and chaos. We were greeted with open arms and felt the special vibes from the moment we got to that hotel. From the complimentary drinks, wonderful concierge and of course bridal suite; I never felt more comfortable. I still say that the day went so smoothly that I did not feel like a bride. help, the views of the beach were spectacular, and they even gave us an amazing complementary suite for the night! The only problem I had is that my reception was to start at 5 with set-up to occur between 3-4. They had booked the same room for another event to end at 3 and that day they did not end until about 4, leaving little time to set-up and making us start a few minutes late. Nevertheless, everything came out exactly as I wanted and it truly was a dream come true!

I had a number of difficulties with the coordinator from the hotel during the wedding planning process and continued to be disappointed throughout the weekend of the wedding. From...

no one getting their guest bags (even with reminders), to not having the specialty rooms ready to eat in, to guests not having the rooms they requested, there were many stressors which were really just not needed. I do have to say, that the staff on shift were ready to fix the problems as they arose. However, there should not have been as many problems to begin with. If the wedding coordinator had been more detail oriented, paid attention to emails and not made so many excuses for the problems, the wedding weekend would have been less stressful. The end result was very nice, but the stress up until then was just not worth it.

If you are doing a destination wedding make sure you are on top of your catering manager. She was not attentive and not as thorough as I would have wanted her to be.
