We had our wedding here a few days ago, and we cannot express enough how wonderful and perfect our day was in totality. Grace was our coordinator and she did an excellent job before the wedding and on the day of with making sure all of our needs were met and questions answered. The venue was clean and organized exactly how we asked on the day of. Setup and cleanup by the staff and other vendors was prompt throughout the day. Grace took care of everything that was asked of her, including the little things like getting tips distributed at the end of the wedding as vendors wrapped up. The venue itself is also exactly what we wanted - so much green space behind the house with lots of areas for beautiful plains/greenery/water shots with our photographer! The house itself was perfect on the interior for what we wanted, as we didn't need to bring in very many additional decorations as the interior is already very well decorated at baseline. We did our ceremony on the patio and our reception on the deck, both of which perfectly suited our needs, the deck allowed sound to dissipate into the atmosphere for guests who needed some space from the noise. The patio and retreat room served as great areas for guests to take a break and play some card and board games (we brought those ourselves, not included with the venue). All in all, we would both highly recommend this venue for anyone who values a beautiful venue with both indoor and outdoor components and excellent venue staff!
We had our wedding and rehearsal dinner at Balmoral House - and it was the best decision we made! The cottage was a perfect space and the venue and our bartender were super flexible and helpful to us at the rehearsal.
Our wedding day of coordinator was through Balmoral - we had Jamie Smith and like others below noted - she 100% went above and beyond. There were things i had noted in passing about placement of items that she remembered and executed perfectly - and there were a million things i didn't even think of that she handled perfectly. I was told at my wedding there would be some things that went wrong or were misplaced that only I would notice - but literally there wasn't a single thing that wasn't 100% perfect. Our ceremony was at the pergola and it could not have been more beautiful, and our reception was on the patio with dancing on the deck. This was a perfect layout for our wedding size (~80 people) and created a ton of space.
We used the bridal and grooms suites and they were really great - the only tip my groom had was to bring something to put you and the grooms' parties things in so they aren't scattered.
Jamie was so great and easy to work with - she really made the wedding planning and day of the wedding so easy and stress free. She is extremely professional, personable, reliable, and flexible, and I cannot recommend her and Balmoral House enough.

Jamie and the crew from the Balmoral House were absolutely wonderful!! They made the whole planning process and the whole day so seamless! Jamie made sure everything was the exact way I wanted it, and did it with a smile on her face! She helped us narrowly avoid a cake disaster, and even was ready to pull the whole thing inside due to the rain. The venue is so gorgeous and I cannot say enough great things about how my wedding turned out! If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t change a thing about it!!
We absolutely loved everything about The Balmoral House! I had a million questions throughout the wedding planning process and they answered all of them quickly and helped make things more clear. They have an awesome staff, and the vendors they suggested were all awesome! They made our day beautiful and everything went so smooth!
We are still waiting on photos from our big day, but wow oh wow.
Balmoral House was the top venue for us. We wanted something that was sweet and intimate, but also large enough to host those closest to us. The bridal suite was more than you could have ever asked for and the boys had close quarters to the bar and the patio, which they loved.
Jamie was our day-of coordinator, and when I say she went above and beyond -- she really did. Our day literally would not have been made possible without her. I was a very type-A bride until the last two days, and I trusted Jamie to make decisions I am not sure any of my bridesmaids would have wanted to be tasked with deciding.
She communicated so thoroughly and the day went by beautifully. Our wedding parties raved about her as did our favorite vendors. If you are thinking about working with the Balmoral House, I could not recommend it enough.
There is always a conversation and they always have time to work with you on your big day. Truly, I will forever think of this place as somewhere special with a team of dreams. If you are thinking about a day-of coordinator, I am officially one of those brides who will be pushy and encourage it because I was adamant to not have one, but goodness, I am so happy I did. Our wedding day at the Balmoral House was absolutely perfect! All of the staff members were so easy to work with and helped make everything run smoothly. Jamie kept in contact through the entire planning process and was SO helpful. Every guest I talked to complimented us on how beautiful the venue was, and we couldn’t agree more!
I loved getting married at the Balmoral House! Would definitely recommend hiring the day of coordinator. Jamie was a lifesaver, and made sure the day flowed perfectly. I never had to worry about a thing. It was everything I wanted and more. Guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and it’s wonderful that you get access to the entire property during your allotted time. You get so much for your money when you choose the Balmoral House and it was absolutely perfect.
I had my wedding back in June 17, 2023. I have TWO main things I want to praise about the Balmoral House.
1st - Venue. OH MY GOODNESS. This venue is beautiful. I had my wedding at the pergola by the pond and it’s just SOOOOO beautiful. All of the guest at my wedding kept talking about how PERFECT and BEAUTIFUL this venue is. I had my ceremony at the pergola by the pond. The greenery around that area is just so pleasing to the eye. I was almost in tears. I had my reception at main hall. It just looks so fancy and classy. The moment you walk in, it’s all just WOW. I also rented the bridal suite and the groom suite. The bridal suite is HUGE. There’s a working FULL bathroom, dinette, bridal room, and an extra room. It gives you all the space you need to get ready on your wedding day. I definitely took advantage of it. Lots of photo ops as well. The Groom’s suite has some comfortable couches and a projector where you can plug your stuff in if you wanna watch something. We utilized every space we could. It’s definitely worth all the money we’ve paid for.
2nd - Staff. Sarah was the person who gave us a tour of the area. She was very patient with me when I was asking a lot of questions. She was very quick on giving me the quote. She was amazing to work with and is always available for questions. Jamie Smith was my “Day off” coordinator. I just want to say that she is very sweet and very accommodating especially when I had a lot of last minute changes to my wedding. She always answered my question in a timely manner. During my wedding day, she had made sure that I was comfortable and all the staff took very good care of me and my guests. Everyone was so nice. I felt suuuuper spoiled haha.
I do want to say that the venue is a little pricey. HOWEVER, I guarantee that everything I had paid for is very well WORTH IT. The Balmoral House was the only venue I had looked at and I never looked at any other places because I fell in love with it at first sight. The moment I walked down the aisle and saw how the guests were enjoying themselves, it made everything soooooooo SOOOOOO worth it.
I highly recommend the Balmoral House for a wedding venue! So many of our guests complimented the venue and everything was beautiful! Sarah and Jamie were very communicative and always seemed happy and excited to talk to us and answer questions.
The flexibility of the space was amazing - there were so many different options for indoor/outdoor spaces and locations for taking photos. Not to mention the getting ready suites are also beautiful.
We only had one issue throughout our yearlong planning process, and we were able to work with the venue to get it cleared up. My one piece of advice, make sure that they add your rehearsal time to the calendar :-)
The Balmoral House was a BEAUTIFUL venue. Our wedding day couldn’t have been better. The weather, the scenery, the venue everything about the Balmoral House epitomizes the class and elegance of the wedding you’re looking for.
The Balmoral House was the perfect venue for our special day! We got married outside on the beautiful garden patio, used the deck for cocktail hour and danced the night way inside! Its is the most elegant and gorgeous property, hidden away to the point that it feels like your own private estate. The staff was great to work with, they were very knowledge and accommodating with our requests. I highly recommend this venue to any bride or group looking to host a event. It was the best day of our life! Thank you Balmoral House for bringing my vision to life and creating the most magical day.
This venue was amazing! The coordinators did everything they said they were going to plus more to make our day perfect.
If you’re having a small to medium size wedding, go ahead and just book this venue. It was perfect for our 50 person wedding in October. The venue and grounds are beautiful and there are tons of photo locations on site. There are so many options for ceremony and reception locations all within one venue. The staff is amazing - a special shoutout to our day of coordinator Sarah and her assistant Jamie - for making our day run so smoothly. They offer an in house “day of coordinator” which we would 100% recommend and it is well worth the relatively small additional cost. With the day of coordination, we/our families did not have to lift a finger, all set up and tear down was arranged and they handled getting all of our vendors set up.
This was such a beautiful place to have our ceremony and reception!! We worked with Sarah to plan the day and she was very responsive and helpful as our day of coordinator. Couldn’t have asked for a better venue!!

Our wedding day at the Balmoral House was an absolute dream. Our coordinator Sarah was very communicative the whole time and was extremely patient and helpful during our planning process. This venue was perfect for our April wedding with the gardens and natural feel. We wanted someplace that felt like home (but still a wedding venue) to celebrate with our family and friends and the Balmoral House gave us just that. I would absolutely recommend this venue!!
When we first visited Balmoral House we knew that we loved the venue. We met with Sarah S. and her enthusiasm for our big day was what made us want to get married there. She really wanted to do whatever she could to make sure all our needs/concerns were addressed and fulfilled. And not to mention her and the rest of the crew’s help the day of the wedding was invaluable. They went above and beyond even without being asked! We cannot recommend this venue enough!
We loved the Balmoral House!! We chose it because of the many options for space. They have so many different rooms and areas so we had a plan for inclement weather. We also loved the bridal suite and groom area as well as the bar! While weather didn’t permit our wedding to be outdoors as we would have hoped, the grounds are also beautiful and I’m sure would make for some amazing photos! It’s also in a great location and relatively easy to travel to. It’s a very cost effective venue as well, Our day of coordinator, Sarah, was very helpful in assisting us to plan our day, answering any questions we had prior in a timely manner. She was also super helpful during our day in keeping everyone/everything on time and constantly asking us how we were doing. The only issue we had with the venue was myself, the bride, being cut off from the bar. It wasn’t the end of the world but kore so just frustrating and unnecessary in our opinion as well as numerous guests we spoke to, we also had several guests get cut off, which, after further conversation, also seemed unnecessary. I understand they’re trying to keep everyone safe but I feel one of the bartenders was being a little unfair when making those calls. It’s a happy event with a lot of emotions, and, yes some alcohol. But that was definitely a turn off for us on our special day. Aside from that, we loved working with Sarah and the Balmoral House and definitely recommend the location for future brides!
My husband Andy and I were married at the Balmoral House in Fishers, IN in September of 2021. We utilized a substantial amount of the event space that Balmoral has to offer--our ceremony was held out at the Pergola, we had cocktail hour down by the bar and on the back patio, dinner upstairs in Eaton Hall, and dancing out on the grand deck. The bridal party expanded into the multi-room ready space upstairs for their preparation; the groom's party gathered down in their basement space for their own suiting up. The wedding party used the Hideaway downstairs for quick breaks and make-up fixes before formal photos. We really expanded to fill the space that was available to us, and felt right at home doing so.
Our venue coordinator, Sarah Salinas, as well as all of the Balmoral staff were great to work with. I was in direct contact with Sarah for a lot of the planning and was grateful to her for her endless patience answering a million different questions, many of which were thought of piecemeal and fired off in countless separate emails. She was never anything other than enthusiastic and excited for us; she was a joy to work with.
We chose this venue because of the outdoor ceremony space at the pergola, and because of its amenities like ready room spaces, full bar, grand deck, and dinner space. Another venue we looked at was quite disparate in its room arrangement--everything was segmented, and there wasn't much natural flow from one area to the next, which we feared would discourage guests from mingling comfortably. The grounds at Balmoral were also great backdrops for photos. The staff even allowed us to supply the bar with some custom cocktails themed around our event, and set up a canopy near the ceremony site for the bridal party to get staged in prior to the ceremony.
Ultimately, what it boils down to is that Balmoral is a gorgeous, people-friendly venue space, staffed by enthusiastic people who did everything in their power to make our wedding day the perfect day that we wanted it to be. We would absolutely recommend the Balmoral House if you're looking for a space for your own big day. It was a completely positive experience from our initial walkthrough until we climbed into our getaway car at the end of the evening. We're pleased that Balmoral will always be part of our wedding day memories.

We highly recommend the Balmoral House. Our wedding was at the pergola and cocktail/reception was a mix of indoor/outdoor. The guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue was and how well every thing flowed. We liked that there was a list of caterers that was varied in style but knew the venue. It was helpful to have access to the site day of in the morning to get ready and then never leave- no stressful transportation. We also had some big week of changes with the floor plan for seating and they were able to make it happen.
Getting a day of coordinator was super helpful for us- Sarah and her staff were great! I sent pictures of what decor should be set up as which was done perfectly and I could just enjoy the day.

The Balmoral House is the most perfect venue for your wedding! It is absolutely beautiful, we wished we could move in! It has everything you need: HUGE bridal suite, grooms quarters, amazing bar, indoor and outdoor spaces for the ceremony and reception. Ashtin was our venue manager and she was so great to work with! Everything was customized to us and turned out beautifully! I cannot recommend this venue enough.
My husband and I chose this venue because it is a huge space with varied backdrops for photos, options for ceremony and reception location, and absolutely beautiful on its own. It was important to use that the venue was also very guest-friendly. Huge parking lots, nice bathrooms, plenty of space to roam or play with younger guests, and within 3 miles of great hotel options. Ashtin, the venue manager we worked with was always available to answer questions and very organized. We did have to reschedule due to Covid and they did charge us a date-change fee, but we ended up saving money moving from a Saturday to a Thursday and because it's a huge house with expansive indoor and outdoor space it really does work for any season. Their decor is tasteful with varied metallics inside so I really only put a wreath on the fireplace mantle and had floral and twinkle light centerpieces. Their bar staff was also top notch and they seemed to have such a great team working there. The twinkle lights outside on the deck and the patio are gorgeous and looked stunning in photos. We picked the perfect venue for us.
The Balmoral House was everything we dreamt of for our big day!! 10/10 would recommend it to any bride looking to book their venue!
The staff at Balmoral House was incredible. Ashtin Eskew answered all of our questions and made everything so easy. We knew from the moment we stepped foot on the property that it was the perfect place for us. We loved the variety of outdoor spaces, especially the patio and deck. Our wedding day was truly perfect, and we couldn't imagine having chosen any other venue!
The bridal suite is unmatched. There were 12 of us getting ready together, and there was more than enough room for everyone. There was tons of room for all of our dresses to hang up while we got ready, Balmoral staff provided us with water and mimosas, and a speaker to enjoy music while getting ready.
For all these reasons and more, I would recommend Balmoral Hose to anyone without hesitation.
The Balmoral House was incredible to work with! Our coordinator, Ashtin, was a life saver. We couldn’t have been more grateful for her help. She kept us sane even when wedding planning was stressful! The Balmoral is a beautiful venue with great spaces outside and inside, which was perfect since it ended up raining on our wedding day! We wouldn’t have had it any other way. It was the perfect day thanks to the Balmoral House and their incredible team. Ashtin Eskew is so great at what she does. We can’t thank her enough for her hard work and dedication to making our day perfect.
When my daughter and now son-in-law chose the Balmoral House for their wedding venue, I knew it would be beautiful but it turned out even better than expected! We were hoping to hold the ceremony outside, but being early April we knew that there was no guarantee we could. It ended up raining on wedding day and we held the ceremony indoors for about 90 guests and I think it turned out even better that way because it was a beautiful setting, the lighting in the house was sparkling and beautiful and it had a cozy intimate feel to it. The natural lighting in the area where the ceremony was held was absolutely gorgeous as well. We paid the extra fee to have the "Day of Wedding" coordinator and it was worth EVERY PENNY. Ashtin was the most wonderful person to work with both at the pre-wedding meeting and the day of the wedding--her service really was invaluable and allowed me to not be a frazzled mother of the bride and just enjoy the day. The bridal suite where the girls got ready was absolutely perfect with more than enough room for everyone. It even had the perfect accommodations for the baby of one of the bridesmaids to nap in throughout the day. Ashtin and her staff did a beautiful job "flipping" the room after the ceremony to get set up for the reception while all of our guests were enjoying cocktail hour in the lower level. They set each table with everything that we requested and it was beautiful. I would highly recommend this venue to any bride having a wedding with a guest count that fits the space.
Balmoral House was the perfect venue for our wedding day! The manager, Reid Milan, was very professional and informative during the planning process and the event itself. All of our questions were answered and loose ends were tied before the event. Also, the venue itself was very presentable and required minimal decorations—it was beautiful! It is also affordable for a wedding venue in the Fishers area.
I had a wonderful experience working with Balmoral House! Our venue manager was extremely helpful in handling all of our questions as we neared our wedding date and guided us through last minute restrictions set in place for COVID-19 safety. Our wedding was around 50 guests. Everyone had a great time and had plenty of space to spread out and socially distance without losing the intimate feeling of home that the venue offers. I highly recommend Reid and her team at Balmoral House!
Balmoral House did an excellent job with our wedding! The venue is absolutely gorgeous and such a unique space. The staff were very helpful as well. We worked with Reid and Lynn who both did a great job and were so helpful on our wedding day. I would highly recommend their day of coordinator package as well, it really made the day very stress free for us. Would highly recommend Balmoral House.
Every single person we worked with at Balmoral House was extremely helpful, patient, and kind. They truly care about every wedding they hold there, even the small ones like mine. Lynn was exceptional and did everything she could to make our day special. She is a great addition the Balmoral House team.
My family has also hosted a baby shower here and they did an excellent job with that. They have something that can accommodate many types of events.
To be honest, I could go on and on and make a super long review but it comes down to one thing. This venue is gorgeous, unique, and versatile. I HIGHLY recommend using Balmoral House for your wedding, or any event you may have.

I worked with the Balmoral House on an event this summer. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and very versatile. From the outside ceremony patio, to the indoor great room, and the basement "bar" (great for cocktail hour), you'll find a unique space for every part of your day. Huge WOW factor!
My husband and I loved Balmoral House from our first tour, and immediately knew it was perfect for our wedding. We loved that the venue was already beautiful on its own, and the options between the different rooms and indoor/outdoor spaces gave us a ton of flexibility to plan exactly what we wanted. Katie was such a pleasure to work with and always checked in to keep things on track for us. While we had to change our original plans due to COVID-19, Katie and the Balmoral staff were incredibly helpful and transparent about our options and any changes needed along the way. We ended up having a small ceremony in their Cottage venue and a larger reception in the main house a few months later. Both events ran so smoothly thanks to Katie and the Balmoral staff! So many people commented about how beautiful and unique the venue was, and it resulted in some wonderful pictures as well! I highly recommend the Balmoral House and am very happy with our experience!
We just had the fairytale wedding of our dreams. If you are looking for a beautiful, unique, and intimate venue- this is it! We were married Mid July 2020 and we were nervous about the heat and COVID. The staff did an exceptional job communicating and addressing all our concerns. Even amidst the craziness of COVID and the hot summer day- We were amazed that the Balmoral Team was able to deliver the wedding of our dreams! There is much versatility with the spaces offered. We had a gorgeous wedding on the garden patio, we cooled off during dinner indoors, then our guests had a blast dancing all night on the grand deck! Our wedding coordinator, Ashtin, works with the Balmoral house and we cannot recommend her enough! Ashtin was a rockstar! She reviewed every detail ahead of time, she set up all the decor prior to our arrival, then she handled everything with our vendors/guests/bridal party. Because of our confidence in the Balmoral Team, we were able to relax and truly enjoy and soak in every moment on our wedding day. My husband and I are incredibly grateful for the beautiful memories we created and the perfect day we shared! We couldn’t have done it without the Balmoral Team!

We contacted balmoral house on a whim as we had already rescheduled our destination wedding twice and wanted to find a venue close to home. They exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond anything we could’ve imagined. They were so nice, got back to us super quickly and answered every single question we had. Katie and Ashtin were both so amazing and did everything they could to help us plan a wedding within a month. There are so many different ceremony and reception options at this venue and we got the most amazing pictures as a result. Every single option is beautiful! The get ready suites were also a perfect space to relax and get ready in day of. We are so thrilled with how our wedding went and couldn’t imagine having it at any other venue.

What a fantastic and unique venue!
Throughout the whole planning process Ashtin and the staff at Balmoral were incredibly responsive, cooperative and accommodating. They went out of their way to accommodate our requests, especially with table arrangements, the sparkler sendoff and our bar package. As craft beer aficionados, my husband and I were so thankful they were able to sub one of our favorite beers into our beverage package. The venue offers planning meetings with their staff, which was one of the most helpful parts of the planning process. The staff did a fantastic job on the day of our wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better day!
The venue is beautiful, spacious and fluid. There's so many great spaces that have endless potential for fantastic photos and it gives the couple he potential to make the space their own. I continue to receive compliments on the beauty and uniqueness of the venue!
Have your wedding at balmoral house!!!! Oh my gosh it’s the most perfect venue and I am completely obsessed!! My husband and I really wanted our wedding to feel intimate and balmoral was the most perfect venue for us!! It was like the classiest, most elegant, and gorgeous house party! And I was continually surprised and impressed by so many things throughout the day that balmoral did for us! I can’t believe how perfect this venue is! It was raining outside almost all day during our wedding, but there were so many places inside the venue that were absolutely gorgeous and perfect for photos. Also, I loved having everything inside the venue—having the ceremony right in front of the fireplace inside was absolutely breathtaking. I can’t describe how in love I am with this venue!!!! Thank you thank you!!
An unbelievable day by an unbelievable staff. My wife and I were a little worried early on when we had to change coordinators a couple times but Ashtin stepped in and absolutely knocked it out of the park. It felt like she cared for our wedding like it was our own. Things went so smoothly and the staff over delivered with flipping the patio for the reception. While the day felt like a blur I will never forget all that Ashtin and the staff did for us!!
I got married May 25, 2019. In 2017 we signed our contract with balmoral for our drink prices, decoration prices, etc or so we thought. No where in our contract did it say that they could change prices as pricing went up over the years. We read it line for line. Still after a signed and legally binding agreement, we were forced to pay $1 more per person (180 people) for the package we had already agreed upon because their pricing changed. After going back and forth on several final bills, we get a bill that is $1000 higher than the last (nothing on it has changed) because the person calculating it messed up the gratuity. We didn't even get so much as an I'm sorry. Then on our very last of 6 or 7 final bills there is a fee added on that had never been there before supposedly because we had a party over 150 people. We told them in 2016 our party was over 150 people. I scheduled an emergency meeting with the venue owner to resolve this and she luckily agreed to get rid of that as that fee was also no where in our contract. Assistants that were there at the time of our wedding went into one of our guests bags (in the back of a room unopened) on our wedding day and told us they would charge us $500 for a bottle of alcohol they found. First of all in the contract it was $200, and there should be no searches of peoples personal things just sitting in a room. I gave this place 2 stars because it was beautiful, but for all the money we ended up having to pay, there was little professionalism to be found.
The Balmoral House was the perfect place for us to get married. We are supper homey people, so what a great place to get married, than an previous private mansion. The weather in September was perfect, and we had a backup indoor plan in place. The staff was always amazing and super helpful. They were accommodating to everything that my husband & I wanted to see on our wedding day.
We brought in our own donuts for our "wedding cake" which was not a big deal. The choice of caterers had variety and we found the perfect match with our food.
We had our first dances in the main room, Eaton Hall, and then for my husbands & I's first dance, we had everyone join around us on the Grand Deck and we had our first dance and got the party started.
Definitely an amazing experience and the dream, perfect, beautiful wedding we were dreaming of.
A little advice: our reception was a total of 163 people, and it was definitely tight in the Eaton Hall space with all the tables in chairs, but we made it work.
Balmoral House was the best rehearsal dinner and reception venue we could have asked for. We loved the intimate space, the ability to get ready in the suites there, and the decorations that are already naturally there.
Diane and the rest of the staff answered every question we had and were incredibly helpful throughout the entire process.

The Balmoral House was the most perfect intimate, elegant venue in the Indianapolis area. We toured three other venues, but nothing compared to this venue. I have a big family from Chicago so I wanted something intimate and I didn’t want to share my space with other parties, so this was the perfect location! We had 125 guests total and it was very accommodating.
Our wedding was on a Friday and they allowed us to set up and decorate during rehearsal that Thursday. It felt so good to not feel rushed and have most of the decorating done the day before. Our DJ appreciated being able to set up all of his equipment and do soundcheck the day before as well. He was able to set up a table on the wooden deck for the ceremony music and then had a spacious setup next to the fireplace by the foyer.
It rained ALL DAY up until about an hour before our ceremony. Diane and her staff knew I wanted my ceremony outside on the wooden deck so they held off on setting up the chairs until the rain stopped. After the ceremony our guests went downstairs for the open bar and were welcomed by mariachis. Everyone loved their music during cocktail and dinner. For food we had a buffet catered from Jonathan Byrd’s and it was delicious! We moved a few tables to create a dance floor once dinner was over with and we danced the night away!
We received so many compliments from our guests about how gorgeous the venue is and how beautiful the ceremony was. I’m grateful we chose Balmoral House as our wedding venue!
I am beyond satisfied that we chose The Balmoral House as our wedding venue. My fiance and I toured a few other venues, but nothing came close. The intimacy and timeless elegance of the venue was perfect for us. The accommodating, patient, and helpful staff went above and beyond for us every step of the way--answering any questions we had and offering assistance or advice as well. Our guests were blown away by everything and raved about our wedding the entire night. We planned for an outside ceremony, but the rainy weekend changed out plans. Luckily, with the help of our photographer, we were able to capture the most beautiful rainy day photos I've ever seen and that was, in part, supported by the beauty of the venue, both inside and out. We couldn't have asked for a better day, and I anticipate our guests (and us!) will be looking back on this day with nothing but absolute happiness. Thank you!
The Balmoral House was a wonderful place for our wedding. They were prompt in answering any questions I had and helping me plan the big day. It was very rainy on our wedding day but we planned on having the ceremony and dancing outdoors. They were willing to let me do anything that worked to have the ceremony outside and I really appreciated it. We fit 170 people in the upstair space at mostly round tables. The basement was great for cocktail hour. It started raining again so we moved dancing inside and had to pickup some of the tables. But again, they were willing to do anything to get it to work out. They have a preferred vendor list that was very helpful. You have to use one of their 4 caterers.
They do go through associates pretty quickly. I had to switch contacts in the middle of wedding planning. Price was alright. If you can bring your own linens, extra tables or highchairs you will save some money. You can't bring in any outside food or drink.
My first wedding anniversary is approaching, which has brought a lot of memories to mind of our beautiful wedding at Balmoral House. With the natural craziness of that day and those that followed, I forgot to write public reviews, and I'm trying to make up for that!
This is the most unique, intimate, and beautiful venue a bride can ask for! So many options for the ceremony and reception, and ways to make this your own day, as opposed to a cookie cutter event at most places.
Even though, at the time of our wedding, Balmoral was still a fairly new venue, the staff was great to work with. As is the case with most brides, I had a million questions and worries. They never failed to ease my mind and worked with me, even when some last-minute changes were needed.
Their preferred vendors are top-notch and put the "icing on the cake", so to speak 😊.

The venue is absolutely GORGEOUS! Stunning. Unique. Intimate. It was perfect. However, the staff was a nightmare to work with. The original coordinator that we had been working with found a new job 6 months before our wedding. The venue then changed several policies and went back on things that we had been promised. Monthly we were getting emails from the venue that beverage packages, food policies, and prices were being changed and despite having signed a contract, were not grandfathered into the original agreements. Our total bill ended up being $3,000 more than what we were quoted due to "various fees". The staff was anything BUT accommodating like they claim in their brochures. Overall, I think we could have found an equally as beautiful venue with a MUCH easier staff to work with resulting in FAR LESS stress . Would not recommend.
My husband and I were looking for a small, intimate, elegant wedding and Balmoral House delivered. We thought the location itself was beautiful and essentially just had centerpieces and did not decorate the house although we were allowed to. We did get married in March so the whole event was indoors but the hardwood floors, fireplaces, and big windows made for really beautiful backdrops. The staff was prompt with their reply's (max 48 hrs) and were really receptive to working with us. We did not have a typical wedding it was much more like a fancy dinner gathering and the staff got on board with our idea quickly and helped us execute exactly what we were looking for. The were gracious in setting up a temporary bar so that guests did not have to take stairs and they were onsite all day helping to make sure everything was running smoothly, i.e. coordinating with the other vendors. We would absolutely recommend Balmoral House to anyone looking for an small guest count wedding and we would book them again for any future party or events.
One of the reasons I chose the Balmoral House as my wedding venue was because of how unique it is. It was unlike any other wedding venue we looked at. I definitely underestimated the difficulty of having a multi-level wedding venue. It was hard to figure out the flow of the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, dances, etc. It was like we were shuffling people throughout the night. In the end, I think it worked out okay, but it was still difficult planning this. We had 125 guests. The ceremony seating was spacious and fine. However, the reception seating at tables was extremely tight. It was too cramped. We could have moved some tables onto different levels of the house, but we wanted everyone to have a seat in the same area. You will need to be creative if you have a larger guest count. I would make sure to read over the contract very carefully before signing. There are a lot of hidden charges. Ex- if anyone is caught with any outside food or drink, including your vendors, you will pay $500. There were several instances where they tried to raise the price of items that we already agreed to when signing the original contract. In the end, they ended up honoring our original pricing because I brought up the issue with them. Overall, the experience with Balmoral was good.
