First built in 1912, Bank Street Events was home to the Citizens Savings Bank of Stamford. The bank was revered as a work of art, uplifting the general appearance of that part of the city. This reputation still remains today, as the bank was renovated in 1988 into a modern, stylish wedding and event venue. The 15,000-square-foot space has kept its original charm, boasting luxuriously decorated ceilings, stained-glass windows, a marble dance floor, and a striking domed skylight.
The Bank Street Events venue can accommodate up to 200 people seated and 250 people cocktail style. The team can assist in all planning endeavors, with their event planning service designed to keep the process as stress-free as possible. We had a wonderful experience using Bank Street Events for our wedding venue on August 12, 2023. Nikki, Lauren and the entire team made everything easy from the beginning. Having the delicious food all available in house as well as planning services for our flowers, centerpieces and favors took so much guesswork out of the planning phase. We knew right away that our visions were aligned with Nikki and that we were in good hands, she’s a true professional. The wedding itself came out beautiful and went off without a hitch. We had a waiter bringing us food, water and drinks the whole time and of course Lauren was there every step of the way making sure we were in the right places at the right times. The venue is also perfect for a dance party and the confetti cannon at the end of the night was a great touch! We can’t recommend Bank Street Events enough.

We recently celebrated our wedding at Bank Street Events on 10/22/22. From the moment we walked in, we knew this is where we needed to have our wedding. The high ceilings and unique layout just felt at home for us. We actually didn’t look at any other wedding venue. From the warm customer service to full service event planning (ie: making our flower arrangements, bouquets, and bootineers) it felt so easy. We knew that our non-traditional wedding would “shock” our families, but they loved it more than they ever thought they would.
During our 2 year wedding planning, the staff at Bank Street Events appeared to have a turnaround as the event coordinator changed a few times/covid19 impact. Once the owner Nikki found out that we began to feel uneasy about our wedding planning (due to the staff turnaround) she immedietly stepped in and took control of our wedding. While she doesn’t work all weddings, she assured us that she would be present from start to finish to ensure comfort on our wedding day. All in all, she made all of our wedding dreams come true.
We still can’t believe how perfect it was. We chose to have a “cocktail” style wedding where the food literally didn’t stop for five hours. Our layout was a combination of hightop tables, lounge couches, long banquet tables, and even hightop tables on the outdoor patio. We chose all types of food that not only fit our personalities, but that everyone can enjoy. The food was phenomenal. Nikki ensured that we (bride and groom) were always fed and always had a drink in our hand. We HIGHLY recommend the sushi station as our guests are still raving about it. Wherever Nikki felt like she can add a table to comfort guests, she did. Whatever food we wanted added (ie: to-go burgers and fries: warm pretzels as guests left our wedding) she added. She didn’t stop imoving the whole night.
PS- The surprise confetti cannon from the balcony was the PERFECT touch, and better than a sparkler send off. If you have your wedding here, you MUST do this.

Not only did I have an extremely beautiful and unique venue, the Bank Street Events team was absolutely amazing. It's a one stop shop that handled everything from decor to flowers to paper goods and favors. They offered awesome recommendations for a DJ and cake. And their food was extremely delicious; definitely not your boring run of the mill chicken/steak wedding dinner. I received so many compliments about how delicious the entrees and cocktail hour food was. The lighting in the space was beautiful and the team knew how to properly pair the lighting with the decor. They also were able to play a slideshow of photos of my husband and I. With my busy work schedule and personal life, it was a huge relief having the team take the lead on so many items and they were really able to capture the vision I wanted to achieve. Guests commented to me that the wedding had my style and vibe written all over it, and Nikki Glekas and her team at Bank Street Events did an amazing job capturing that. The staff was so professional and accommodating and would give their shoes off their feet to help out the bride. (Figuratively and literally, Charlotte literally let this swollen footed bride borrow her shoes until I could change into sneakers). The team made stressful wedding planning into such an enjoyable experience and left me with no worries as to how the reception would play out. You'll have no regrets putting your wedding planning into the hands of this amazing team.

I wish my wedding never had to end! Deciding to use Bank Street as our venue was the best decision I ever made! Nikki was the easiest vendor to work with and her team was absolutely amazing. Nikki worked with my husband and I to make sure our day would be perfect - and it truly was! From the decor, to the service, and the Food everything was outstanding! We were the first of our friends to get married, and all we keep hearing is "How will we ever top your wedding?!" I am so thankful to Nikki and her team for giving me the wedding of my dreams!

I just got back from my honeymoon a few days ago and while the vacation was a wonderful time away, there was nothing better for me than my wedding reception. From the day I booked Bank Street Events to the day after the wedding when I picked up all of our extra items, Nikki went above and beyond. She and her staff worked with me personally for months on end regarding every detail from the flowers to the invitations to the food, and everything was beyond BEAUTIFUL!
With about three weeks to go before my wedding, there was a miscommunication with another vendor regarding my lighting, but Nikki came to the rescue and provided me with all my lighting and made it match the other decor perfectly. She took a personal interest in me, my fiance, my family and our special day. I could not have gotten through the craziness of the wedding without her.
We had numerous guests tell us that the venue was so different than the normal CT venue and it felt as though they were in NYC at a fabulous party. All I wanted was to have the reception be unique and fit mine and my fiances personality and Nikki made it her job to give us exactly what we wanted -- something beautiful, different and whimisically fun. I highly recommend this venue to anyone in the area and wish I could do it all again!

When selecting a venue my husband and I wanted someplace that was unique and had it's own character. Bank Street was perfect. Before signing we went to a food tasting and the food was out of this world. We were on a budget and Claudia worked hard to help us stay close to what we wanted to spend. The staff was professional and we can't thank Andre enough for all the hard work he put into setting up for our wedding. We couldn't have imagined a better wedding. Thank you Bank Street!

We hosted our wedding reception at Bank St. Events in April 2013. We had a fantastic experience working with the staff at Bank St! We were living in Chicago while planning our wedding, so we had to rely on the staff, especially the ever-helpful Claudia, to communicate and negotiate many of the details. The few times we were able to visit the space in person we received excellent, professional, courteous service that made the trip from Chicago worthwhile. The space is so unique--all of our wedding guests are still talking about what a special venue it was--and is a great value for the quality of service provided. One of my favorite things about the space itself is the abundance of options for seating layouts, which helped us to create a layout perfect for our group of about 160 guests.The staff during our reception was EXTRAORDINARY--they were so helpful and so professional. They managed the schedule of events so that my husband and I could relax and enjoy the reception. The food and drink were also excellent, though I barely had time to eat my dinner because I was having so much fun! Bank St.'s staff was also so helpful in coordinating with our external vendors (DJ, photographer, etc.) and did a beautiful job of setting up the decorations we provided. They took the time a few days before the wedding to sit down with my mother and myself to learn exactly how to set the table decor, and we also finalized the lighting scheme and other details. The space looked so gorgeous when we arrived in the evening! It was exactly as we had hoped it would be! I can't say enough good things about my experience with Bank St. Events. They helped me plan and host the best party ever! I highly recommend this venue.

We recently had our wedding at Bank Street Events. We were beyond happy with the service. Ted and Claudia are amazing and will make sure your wedding/party goes exactly as you wish. Their chef is amazing and ever guest raved about the food served (stations) I would use them again in a heartbeat. HIRE THEM!!!!!!!
