y help we needed, and she came recommended to us from our venue that she has coordinated tons of weddings at, which helped a ton. She ended up being our coordinator for pre-event planning and rehearsal and all day on the day of the wedding. She also did floral arrangements and decorations too. We wanted to keep it pretty lowkey, and she nailed adding just enough touch to everything without going over the top.
For our first (and only) time getting married, she took the stress out of thinking of a timeline, planning the rehearsal, making sure things were where they were supposed to be on the day of, and that everything worked together. The floral arrangements were beautiful - we got tons of compliments, and they are currently being preserved and framed and we can’t wait to have a piece of them forever. Barbie and her daughter went above and beyond during the wedding, and everything that led up to it, and we could not be more appreciative of what they helped us with. My husband was wary at first of getting a coordinator, but he would be the first to say now that anyone looking for one or even thinking about it, DEFINITELY needs to go that route, and Barbie would be perfect for your event!

She went out of her way to find the right color sashes, the perfect arrangements we wanted for the flowers, and everything she brought to the table was high quality. She had great ideas from her experience, she met our energy as we planned, and on the day of she helped us immensely! She kept everything on track, did a good job staying connected with us, and the behind the scenes hiccups that were out of our control stayed behind the scenes thanks to her hard work. If you’re reading these reviews undecided – we highly recommend calling Barbie and scheduling a meeting. We’re really happy we did, she is amazing, and if we could do it all again it would be with Barbie a hundred times over. Honestly, we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out and none of it would’ve been possible without her.

COVID)! Anytime my mom and I had a disagreement or question she was only a phone call or text away (she sided with me on the disagreements, btw). The day of the wedding, everyone got to sleep in and go to brunch, while Barbie was hard at work setting up the venue. It was incredible getting to the venue just before the wedding and seeing everything so beautifully set up! She did an amazing job! Barbie had also called and coordinated with all of our other vendors for set up and arrival times!
We rented a few items from her (cake table displays, wedding arch, card box, etc) which were gorgeous and SO convenient! I only had 2 small boxes of personal décor items (which Barbie also set up for us), everything else was a rental! I'm so happy I don't have a closet full of single use items that I'm trying to now sell on FB marketplace because we were able to rent all the big things from her!
She also brought in a late night snack for our party (Taco Bell), which everyone loved!!
Cleaning up after the event was a breeze, because she had done most of the work before the event was over! It took maybe 15-20 min for us to grab the last of the items from the bridal room and put away the last few things after our event wrapped up!
Working with Barbie is a dream. She's a perfect and rare combination of "structured and organized" and "easy going and go with the flow".

nice to sit back, relax and enjoy the wedding knowing that everything was being taken care. (it is not an easy task for me to sit back and relax, but they made it so I could and did). My daughter was so happy, she has told me her day turned out exactly how she always imagined it would. The girls helped make her day special, and in the end that is all that matters. we met a couple times as I tried to keep her in loop and share my vision. My wedding had no budget as I didn't want any regrets and it was very important to me that our 80 guests had a memorable experience as much as we did. The ceremony and the wedding both took place at the English Inn in Eaton Rapids. Barb and her assistant arrived at 8:30 am, ceremony was at 6:30pm, and Barb didn’t leave until after the cake was served. She had a long day! However she never showed it! She also did the ceremony rehearsal early in the day for which we had plan A and B if it rained….and it started to sprinkle as the guests were arriving…ugh. On to plan B which got a little crazy but we pulled it off! The evening was magical and I wish I could do that every Saturday.
Barb provided lots a helpful hints and tips during the planning. She also has a selection of décor that we could use at no extra cost. We both have a peeve of wrinkled linens so Barb and her assistant made sure that all the table clothes and over-lays were freshly pressed. The dining room and the lounge looked gorgeous. If you are looking for an event planner I highly suggest Bashes by Barbie. She remained professional throughout the entire experience. I don’t know how she does it but she does.
