Bay 7 at American Tobacco Campus

ng, Ali (our day-of coordinator) was so friendly and wonderful. She was incredibly helpful, arranged multiple venue visits with us, answered all our questions, and kept everything organized. And she is just a lovely person and made everything feel so pleasant and low-stress, even with all our questions and requests and concerns; we felt really taken care of and every part of the planning process went so smoothly. Some of the things we loved most about Bay 7: - The food was absolutely exceptional. Of course, you can always expect this of Angus Barn food, but it was truly top notch, and we had many guests telling us it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had (and we agree; one guest even told us that the wines were better than a wedding he recently went to in France). They were super mindful of allergies (multiple guests - including me, the bride - were gluten-free, among other common allergies). And the service and presentation were fantastic; the food came out quickly, the bar service was always moving so smoothly, the servers were so nice and pleasant, and it all just really elevated the whole experience. - The space itself is really open and very cool, and we loved that our venue was in the heart of downtown Durham. The high ceilings and exposed brick really added to the vibe, the lofted upstairs and open downstairs allowed people to move freely about the space, and guests were able to go out on the outdoor patio area and enjoy the American Tobacco Campus, too. - Linens, glassware, tableware, chairs, tables, etc. were all included in the price (you don’t have all the options in the world available to you - for example, they offer black or white linens, one type of chair, etc. - but this was all we needed. We weren’t super customizing our decor, so it worked perfectly for our needs). This was a huge plus for us, and it really saved us the trouble of needing to go elsewhere to rent all these things. - We had a live band, and the acoustics were great in the venue. We needed a full stage, and there was plenty of room for this, and they were able to control the sound and the lights seamlessly throughout the night. In the end, with Bay 7, you get a truly top-tier Angus Barn experience, and we could not recommend it more highly. Angus Barn is a local business that clearly really cares about its brand and the service they provide all their guests, and they came through in absolutely every aspect of the planning and running of our wedding day. I didn’t worry about a thing the whole day - due in part to the planning and care that went into it from the start and in part to the total trust we had in Ali and Angus Barn as a whole. We really want to be invited to another wedding at Bay 7, so we can experience it all again!

sal, Kelly stepped in and took care of us. She got everything set up and worked us for the first few months, then Sarah took over when she returned from maternity leave. We were a bit nervous about how the handoff would go, but it was seamless. They were both so helpful making vendor suggestions and answering all our questions. Bay 7 is such a well-known, well-respected venue. It made hiring all our outside vendors so easy. On the day, everything went off without a hitch. They were so organized and all the staff was out of this world. All the servers kept checking in and making sure not only we as the bride and groom had everything but taking care of every single one of our guests. The venue is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the people were wonderful to work with. What more can you ask for?

, Sarah and Georgia, helped me with planning from the moment I put down my deposit to the moment I left my reception in my getaway car. Georgia especially made sure that I was able to enjoy my entire wedding day without feeling stressed or overwhelmed when anything wasn’t going according to plan. Besides my coordinators I want to acknowledge how impressed everyone was with the servers. They truly deserve a standing ovation!! I had a sit down plated style dinner, and all servers catered to every individuals needs and dietary requirements while being extremely polite and professional. One specific staff member who’s name I can’t remember, sat with a member of my wedding party when she had too much to drink for most of the night and acted almost like a therapist to her. That being said, I am so grateful that I was able to work with such a delightful team and I still can’t believe that I was lucky enough to celebrate my wedding day in my dream venue :) I would highly recommend to anyone!!
