I cannot say enough amazing things about Angela and her team at Bayside Gatherings! They handled our catering, bar staff, florals, and design, and everything was absolutely flawless. Angela brought my vision to life perfectly—every detail was stunning. The florals were so beautiful, the food was beyond delicious (guests are still raving about it six months later!), and my ceremony setup was exactly how I had envisioned. The entire process was seamless, and the team was a joy to work with. I couldn’t recommend them more!
The pricing is very reasonable which is one of the main drivers for our decision, but their website and catering quote process needs to be updated - it is extremely outdated and quite honestly hard to follow (i.e. hard to understand the pricing breakdown of what was included and hard to understand how to choose your menu). We eventually got there with a lot of back and forth emails (and they are nice when communicating with them) and the food the day of the wedding turned out great but the process to get there was somewhat dated.

Angela and her team were beyond phenomenal!! They were quick, efficient, responsive, and can help you plan and prepare for literally anything you need! The food was incredible, the bartenders were a blast, everything was perfect and then some. If I ever need a caterer or party rentals again, I’m definitely going back to her.

I loved working with Angela. She is so sweet and clearly loves what she does. I hired her for both decorations and food. Decorations were awesome - 10/10. The florals were so beautiful and worth every penny! The food part was a little more complicated. We ordered steak and fish. The fish was supposed to come with a sauce, and the day of it didn’t seem like what we ordered. It was supposed to be grilled with a wine sauce on top, and it came out baked with no sauce and was just sort of blah. Also we confirmed we were doing family style salad before, and ended up doing plated (and barely any dressing on the salads). The food service took so long that it set our reception time back about 45 mins and we almost had to pay the photographer extra. The late night snack was a huge hit, and the cocktail hour was awesome too. The lamb was amazing! The only issue was that not every guest got any because people grabbed them as soon as they came out!
Angela is awesome and easy to work with, but communication would go better if she had a secretary and an updated website. I would highly recommend her though, just triple confirm the menu and schedule beforehand.
Decorations were amazing! I would definitely use her again and we had great feedback from the guests on the food despite these setbacks.
Angela and the team at Bayside Gatherings were absolutely incredible! She made the planning process so easy and convenient. We hired Bayside for our food and also our floral. Having her do both things made things so simple and she did it all so perfectly! The flowers were better than expected and the food was terrific! Would absolutely recommend Bayside Gatherings for catering, floral, and decorations/set up!
One stop shop. We planned our destination wedding with Angela and she made it so easy. Angela at Bayside made living in Texas and getting married in Suttons Bay seamless. We used them for catering, bartending, florals, linens, and our cake! The dessert she made was amazing and so were the flowers we had at our wedding. I can't thank Angela and her team enough for how amazing our day turned out. It was beautiful and effortless on our part. Angela even coordinated our late night snack and made sure everything was amazing.
Angela and her team did an amazing job at both our rehearsal diner and wedding. The food was incredible and all the staff was attentive during cocktail hour and dinner service. We highly recommend Bayside Gatherings!
Angela and her team were amazing to work with! We initially contacted her just for catering, but then we learned that she offered so many other services, so we decided to work with her team for our florals and design as well. They were very flexible when it came to scheduling meetings and were open to scheduling as many as we needed. Angela always came very prepared for our meetings which we really appreciated because we had so many other things going on. Our day turned out absolutely perfect and a HUGE part of that was because of Angela and her team. All of our guests commented on the food and decorations all night! If you choose to work with Bayside Gatherings, you will not regret it!
We hired Angela for catering and day of coordinator. I also rented my linens from her and she did my bouquets. She was INCREDIBLE! This woman is busy, but a powerhouse. Everyone raved about our food. We did a buffet and we had several people say it was one of the nicer buffets they've been to at a wedding. As far as day of coordinating, I don't think my day would have happened as smoothly if Angela wasn't coordinating, especially because we had some huge day of adjustments due to a family emergency. My linens were perfect - exactly how I imagined them and same with my bouquet. I'm not a big flower person so I shared my Pinterest board with Angela & told her one flower I specifically wanted and she literally made the bouquet of my dreams. Bayside Gatherings is a fantastic company & Angela is an absolute rock star!!!
Angela and team were such a dream to work with! She is so organized and runs a tight ship which is just what you need in a food vendor. Communication responses were so quick, they were flexible in our timeline after a downpour left cocktail hour to start before our outside ceremony and our guests still compliment us about the food. Would recommend them to anyone and 100% would book them again. Thanks Bayside Gatherings!!
Angie and her team were wonderful to work with. The food was outstanding and she made some fantastic options for all of our dietary needs.
Have hired them twice, once for my parent’s anniversary party, and again for my own 50th Birthday party. The food is amazing. They also go beyond good food and set the atmosphere you want. Angela sits down, talks through what you want and brings it to life somehow. She really listens and it shows, Cannot recommend Bayside Gatherings and Angela strongly enough.
We hired Angela to cater our wedding this year and if I could give her 10 stars I would!! When she asked us to review her on the Knot it was a no brainer!! Her food and style truly set her apart from the several caterers we tasted with last spring. I was very surprised to see a 1 star review on here and after asking her about this, in my opinion she handled this situation very professionally and find it very sad that others will use the review process to hurt someone's reputation. Bravo to you Angela and your team. Your work, class and talent truly stands out above that false and hurtful accusation!!! We highly recommend you and your entire team!!!

We hired Angela and her team to cater, design and coordinate our daughter's wedding and couldn't be happier!! Our guests still talk about the food!! Having Bayside handle several aspects of the wedding made it so much nicer than having to deal with a ton of vendors. Being from out of town, ease and convenience of planning was 1 of our priorities. While very busy, Angela was so helpful and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect!!! Thanks again for an amazing experience and for making our daughters day so magical!!!

Owner, Angela, and her crew did a fabulous job! They have many services and guidance to offer, from simple to complex affairs. The food was delicious and I would highly recommend this catering company.
Angela and her staff could not have been a better caterer for our wedding day. For starters - her food was absolutely delicious, starting with our appetizers and ending with an ice cream bar (perfect for a 95 degree wedding day). Everything was set up immaculately, and she even provided some coordinating greenery arrangements to fit our decor. We have since received multiple compliments on her beautiful charcuterie board set-up. Angela has been super easy to work with from the very beginning, including being very flexible and helpful when we needed to reschedule our 2020 date. Her staff was extremely professional and friendly the entire day and made all of our food and bar service seamless. We can not recommend Bayside Gatherings highly enough!
I cannot say enough good things about Angela and her team! Getting married in a city you don't live in is tricky, trying to plan a wedding during COVID is also tricky. But thankfully Bayside does it all! And I mean literally everything. My Husband and I got married last weekend at the Ridge of Verterra. Bayside was my coordinator, my florist, my linen, and my decorator. I sent pictures of what I wanted (from pintrest of course) and Angela and her team brought them to life. My bouquet was everything I pictured and more. We remained in constant contact throughout all of the changes in government orders and had a backup if needed. Thankfully everything went as planned. If anything went wrong, I still have no clue about it. A member of her team was by my side all night offering drinks, anything I needed, and even asked to fix my plate! The food was amazing.. tasted exactly like the tasting. Very professional, reliable, and offered a lot of good advice for this over stressed bride. This is someone you want on your side on such a special day. Highly recommend!
Bayside Gatherings did a phenomenal job with our wedding! We could not have asked for a better caterer. Angela was super helpful and accommodating. When our original venue cancelled on us a month out, she gave us some suggestions and one of them ended up working out. She helped us make the transition between venues so smooth. We can't thank her enough! Everyone raved about the food! The dessert and charcuterie board displays were so beautiful. Her staff and bar tenders were top notch! We highly recommend Angela and Bayside Gatherings for your wedding!
We absolutely loved having one place for both catering and flowers! Angela/Bayside was a great one-stop shop for us as we were trying to coordinate from out of state for our June 2019 wedding. The food was great (especially the steak) and the flowers were amazing! They decorated the ceremony arch, bridal and party flowers, as well as long floral table runners for our rustic wedding decor outside. Bayside also helped secure the linens for the event which were high quality. It was beautiful! Thank you, Bayside!
Angela and her team from Bayside Gatherings did the Catering, Coordinating, Design and Floral Design for our wedding last summer. What can I say about Bayside Gatherings? After doing several tastings in the area we knew we chose the right company after meeting Angela. The food was amazing!! So creative, local and delicious!! My guests are still talking about it!! We chose the plated option and it came out hot and fast!!
Angela was no pushy or over priced. She took our vision and ran with it!! My wife loved the designs and floral she came up with and being out of town, the coordinating made it as if I was a guest at my own wedding!! Her and her team made everything effortless!! Do yourself a favor and hire Bayside Gatherings for all your wedding needs. It was nice to not have to deal with multiple vendors and have just Bayside handle it all!! No wonder she is so busy!! They were so professional and top notch!!!
Angela and her team were extremely easy to work with. She has worked on events larger and smaller than my wedding of 165 at a private residence on West Bay Shore Dr, Traverse City, MI. Angela let my fiancé and I do a tasting that helped customize the wedding menu and pre-reception drinks/ passed apps. Her team was very professional and the service was wonderful. Not only that, the food was awesome and tasted great being cooked on-site was key. I would be very comfortable recommending her to any of my friends/family needing professional catering. We would not recommend Bayside Gatherings. Please see the following reasons:
1. Vegan Meal – We had a guest at our wedding that required a vegan meal. We had multiple discussions with Angela about this guest (at our tasting and over e-mail). The guest even called Angela directly to ensure that she would have a vegan meal. Angela told us it wouldn’t be a problem to provide the vegan meal. At the wedding, our Maid of Honor went back to the kitchen before dinner to ensure the vegan meal would be delivered. The kitchen told her they didn’t have that option, so our Maid of Honor and Coordinator had to scramble to find a vegan restaurant and pick up a meal for our guest. The staff in the kitchen offered no other solutions to feed this guest.
2. Late & Cold Food – It seemed that the catering was extremely understaffed. It took over an hour for all of our guests to be served dinner and by the time the meals arrived, they were very cold. One guest even felt her meal was inedible because it was so cold—she asked for it to be microwaved in the back. Our maid of honor and coordinator were standing in the kitchen and heard one of the waitresses say, “People are complaining about how long the food is taking and that their food is cold.” The man in charge of the kitchen said there was nothing he could do to get it out faster.
3. Ran Out of Mixers – Around 6:30 the bartenders started telling our guests that they were out of coke and sprite. At one point, a guest asking for a tequila and sprite was told “we are almost out of Sprite and I am saving it for the bride.” Since our guests were unable to have drinks, we had to send one of our OWN GUESTS out on multiple trips to the store for mixers. Per our contract, we provided several 2-liters of pop for non-alcoholic drinks. Angela’s staff was supposed to provide all the mixers for alcoholic drinks.
4. “Ran Out of Wine” – We provided our own alcoholic beverages for the wedding, wine, beer, liquor, etc. We stocked more than enough of everything. However, during our cocktail hour, Angela’s staff told us they were out of wine. We couldn’t believe it… but we ended up sending one of our guests to purchase more wine. After the wedding, we discovered MULTIPLE cases of unopened wine that was overlooked by the bartenders. So there was never a need for the additional wine. This mistake cost us hundreds of dollars.
5. Bartenders – According to our contract, we paid to have 2 bartenders until 12am. While the bar initially started with 2 bartenders, from about 9pm until the end of the night there was only 1. This resulted in a long line at the bar.
6. Bride and Groom Appetizers – When we met with Angela at our tasting she told us it was important to her that the bride and groom get to try all of the food. She stated that she would have her staff make a couple plates of appetizers to bring to us while we were taking photos. This did not happen.
7. Casually Dressed Staff – Angela’s staff were extremely under dressed for the occasion. One waitress was even wearing a tank top and short booty shorts. The casually dressed staff was seen in multiple pictures throughout the night, including a photo taken during the father and bride dance—ruining the picture.
We reached out to Angela a few days after our wedding, she responded to our complaints with a very rude letter and just a $100 in compensation.
If you want amazing food and service - hire Angela and her team. They were the highlight of our wedding vendors! The food was better than expected and the staff was professional and courteous. The kitchen at our venue was SPOTLESS when they left and they were very flexible when things popped up and slightly delayed the meal.
Angela was great to work with and at the tasting, made appropriate recommendations for us so that our menu was perfect. I highly recommend Bayside Gatherings and if I ever need an event catered again, they are the first place I will call. Many thanks for doing such a great job all around!
Where do I start!? First of all I have had multiple parties catered and designed by Bayside gatherings. Each time the design, the food, the everything, tops the last. Bayside Gatherings provides amazing attention to detail and best of all, a stress free environment for myself and my family. Angela and her team designed the most beautiful 50th wedding anniversary party for my in-laws. Everyone to this day, raves about the food and the decor. It was absolutely perfect!

Angela is personable and extremely professional. We loved her when we met her. The tasting was a little haphazard, but everything was good. On the day (and since) we received tons of compliments on the food. What little we remembered to eat, we loved as well! I would recommend Angela and her team wholeheartedly. Do yourself a favor and have Bayside Gatherings cater your event!
We use Bayside Gatherings for our catering and floral at our wedding. Everything was beautiful! Our guest raved about the food- so delicious! Nobody walked away hunger either! The floral was beautiful. We had a little confusion with floral color in the bridal bouquets but it was fixed on the spot. Angela was great to work with and helped us to make our event very personal. Would definitely recommend!
As a wedding professional myself, when it came time for my own wedding, I knew that I had to have Bayside Gatherings cater my event. Their food is consistently delicious and the staff always goes above and beyond to ensure a great experience.
My wedding was no exception. The beef brisket melted in your mouth, the pan roasted chicken with bourbon glaze was amazing and our vegan guests raved about their meals as well. The dessert table was a huge hit too. I highly recommend Angela and her team at Bayside Gatherings. You and your taste buds won't be disappointed.
The food was fantastic! Everyone at our wedding said it was one of the best meals they ever had at a wedding. Angela is a total sweetheart to work with too. I have to give 4 stars though since we did end up running out of coke/Pepsi at the end of the night. Also, even though they are very busy, waiting over 2 weeks for replies is a little too long for someone who works a lot myself while planning a wedding. Just offering some constructive feedback! Overall though, I would hire her again!! Everything turned out GREAT!!
Bayside Gatherings were the florist and caterer for our wedding. Angela, the owner, is an absolute gem! Not only did our floral arrangements and food FAR exceed our expectations, Angela made our entire experience over the top. If I could double this rating, I would. Best experience I have ever had. As the MOB, I wanted the best for my daughter, and I got that and more. First of all, so friendly and accommadating. From the flowers to working with me on the design, to the best food I have ever had at a wedding ( literally everyone said this to me!), and an incredibly professional presence in their service during the reception,they were great. In fact, I danced the night away without a care, because I knew they had the whole thing under control. Angela, the owner, gave us multiple taste testings and design consultations. Her menu offerings were so current and fresh. ( butternut squash ravioli, so good! the brie and fig puff pastry, fabulous!) Her wedding coordinator , Lisa, was everywhere at once taking care of every detail. Every time there was a need , from taking a bridesmaid to get her shawl, to doing just about everything you could imagine, all I heard her say was"I can do that for you!". I didn't miss a moment of the fun , because I could count on her to take care of every detail.
The whole staff was so professional, you could tell that they took pride in their fine work. i told Angela that her entire staff represented her company well.
I can not say enough good things about this company. I have one more daughter, and I know who I will be calling when the time comes!!
Working with Angela is the best! Not only did she do the most amazing food for our wedding day, but she also did the flowers and the cake. Everything was perfect! We got so many compliments on the food and are still hearing about it weeks after the wedding. Angela is such a joy to work with and her team does an amazing job. Book them early, they are seriously in demand in the area!
The food was absolutely amazing and our guests couldn't stop talking about it! Angela and her staff were so professional, helpful and friendly. They had no problem going above and beyond for us. Angela made every little detail and request a reality and we couldn't have asked for more. They not only did food, but also our bar tending and linens. She also helps with wedding planning and truly knows what she is doing. We loved them and were over the moon with the services they provided.
