Bear Brook Valley

We are delayed in this review but we cannot recommend Bear Brook enough for your wedding venue. We got married in late June and since we booked the venue almost two years prior, the lead-up process was nothing but smooth and stress-free. The team was fantastic and responsive during the prep period and made the day-of the celebration we wanted, without issue. Our guests raved about the food and venue. We had a 9-piece band that fit seamlessly. We are thrilled to have worked with Bear Brook for our special day.

Our wedding on 03/23/2024 felt like absolute magic because of Bear Brook Valley's team of kind and hard working professionals. We had the privilege to work with Jen🩷 as our wedding coordinator. When we booked Bear Brook, Jen had recently started working there and helped us book our date over 2 years in advance (we were the second wedding to book for spring 2024 back in November of 2021!!) Jen has proved to be an invaluable member to the Bear Brook Valley team through her patience, understanding, calm and fun demeanor, and answering every and any email I had over the 2.5 years. Though we came across a minor hiccup prior to the wedding regarding misunderstandings about locking in rates for "extras", when it was brought to the venue's attention, they were accommodating and helpful in every way to solve the issue. The food at Bear Brook is to die for! You truly get your money's worth with BBV from their 1.5 hour cocktail hour (don't get me started on the duck), 5 meal course options, desserts, and top-shelf open bar. The McDonalds addition at the end of the night was worth every penny (Jen even gave us the rest of it to take home, like 30 burgers!!). The second we got onto the property after our church ceremony, we were greeted with our signature drinks. I even had a blunder and completely forgot to wear my garter when I was getting ready in the morning, so Jen and her team created one for me out of materials they had at the venue - incredible!! Even one of the workers let me use her deodorant because I was in desperation LOL. The chefs perfectly prepared my mother's extra well done (yuck) end cut prime rib (she's VERY specific), as well as gave my father an addition piece of prime rib because he enjoyed it so much. A few words of advice for individuals looking to book with the incomparable BBV: 1.) for the DIY couples, confirm the types of centerpieces the venue is able to help put on the tables or if you need a coordinator/florist to do it, 2.) for those who are doing escort cards (anything that is NOT a seating chart), make sure to alphabetize your names BEFORE bringing them to the venue (they will not do it for you), 3.) for anyone with physical impairments/those that are handicap, the venue does have an elevator, however, the day of my wedding (and the month prior) it was not working. They have a golf cart that can bring these individuals to the reception room without having to take the stairs, but my 85 year old grandmother-in-law claimed to not enjoy the ride. Overall, we are absolutely over the moon with our experience and believe any couple would be lucky to have their wedding at Bear Brook Valley. Wish I could relive that day forever 🩷

We could not have been happier with our experience at Bear Brook Valley!! From our first tour at the venue, we immediately felt at home there - the gorgeous event space, the serene grounds in nature, and of course, the wonderful and welcoming staff. It was the perfect blend of nature/rustic paired with elegant that we were looking for. We had our tour with Jen and then continued to work with her throughout the whole process leading up to and during the wedding. Jen was incredible and helped make the whole experience seamless. She is truly an expert in this field and really helps as a guide along the journey of wedding planning, and doing it all with a warm smile and upbeat energy! I felt great knowing I could go to her for any question - even if it was related to help finding another vendor, etc. The whole BBV team was wonderful and this really showed the day of the wedding. Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be and so much of that is because of the beauty and care that BBV offers. The whole day was very stress-free and I felt totally confident that the BBV team was taking care of everything that needed to be done. Everything turned out so wonderful and we got to really experience the day for ourselves without having to worry about every little detail. Our guests were blown away by the beauty of the venue, as well as some of the unique features they offer! The hour and a half cocktail hour was a huge hit, with such a fun and delicious array of food and drinks to choose from. It was so much fun picking from all the amazing food options that BBV offers, and all of our guests commented on how great the food was the whole day - from cocktail hour, dinner and a well-assorted dessert selection. BBV has some really fun add-ons, and really allows you to make your wedding a very custom experience to fit your vision. We had such an incredible day and keep saying that we wish we could do it all again at BBV. A particular rave review came from my niece who said after the wedding “can we come back here as a family every year??”, which I must admit that I agree with that sentiment! If you are looking for a wonderfully caring, stunning and unique wedding venue, Bear Brook Valley is the ideal choice for a truly incredible wedding that you and your guests will look back on with the most wonderful memories!

I am so grateful for the staff at Bear Brook Valley that made our wedding day a dream come true. We worked with Anastasia and she is a true talent. We loved the planning process and her calm strategic demeanor was perfect. On the day of- we worked with Emma, Rebecca, Tony, and Ensle. They were fantastic and attentive to our entire bridal party. Bear Brook Valley is stunning, the food is unbelievable, the bartenders are excellent, and all the staff were phenomenal. Bear Brook Valley is an established venue with strong relationships with many vendors. The coordination they did behind the scenes the day of was impeccable. I could go on and on. I can't thank the Bear Brook Valley team enough for going above and beyond to make our wedding day more that what we could ever imagine. Thank you!!!

My fiance and I booked BBV in 2021. We were married on 6/2 of this year. I knew the day was going to be amazing the entire process, but somehow the team made it perfect. Our wedding was beyond our wildest dreams. Jen was our point of contact and I cannot recommend her enough. She is kind, fun, and makes everything no big deal. This is key when wedding planning. She made me I felt like I've known her my whole life and was an old friend. I will absolutely miss working with her. Everyone raved about how beautiful the venue was and how great the food is. The staff took care of everything. Our bride and groom attendants for the day of were so attentive. It was truly a magical day, i only wish i could relive it! This was by far the easiest vendor to book for our wedding. BBV was the first venue that we toured, and we instantly knew, they stood out from the rest. BBV pays such close attention to every single detail. They have a solution for every potential issue. My wedding was torrential downpour and BBV didn’t skip a beat. They quickly setup in the stables and made my dream wedding come to life. Ensle and team were extremely attentive and made sure we had the best days of our lives. The endless food and gorgeous property make this venue worth every single penny. Our guests are still raving about the food. Then at the end of the night, they pack up every single thing that we brought to the venue and had it all ready for pick up the next day to avoid hassle. This is the most stress-free venue. I never once felt anxious or stressed about my wedding day and it was all thanks to Ensle and the BBV team. Because of BBV, I had the best time at my wedding!

My wife and I had our wedding at Bear Brook Valley in December and the day was a true dream come true. Our wedding coordinator, Ensle, was so amazing to work with leading up to the big day and was always responsive to all of our questions. On the day of, Ensle and the bridal and groomsmen suite attendants were essential to how perfect our day was. I felt like nothing could go wrong with the coordinators by my side. The grounds at Bear Brook valley are absolutely stunning even on days with inclement weather.

This is the perfect venue! The entire Bear brook team is amazing! We worked with Christina and Ensle and they were so responsive and personable. They made our day so perfect. When rain was a potential threat, they kept us calm and helped us think of every case scenario. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. All of our guests had so many amazing compliments and it all started at the venue. My bridal attendant, Rebecca, was also amazing. Anything we needed was perfect and she gave us the greatest advice day of and helped us stay calm in all the craziness. It is a hidden gem and if you are able to get married here, they will do anything to make your day perfect.

I don’t even know where to begin on how amazing this venue and venue team is. First of all, when you go in for a tasting, it’s like being at a beautiful event. We were able to bring both sets of parents, try a million different foods for the cocktail hour and dinner, pick out signature drinks through tastings, had samples of the napkins, table numbers and a million other small details. The communication from Christina and Jen was constant before the wedding. Anything we or my parents needed, they were on it, with a smile and a prompt response. Being able to go to the venue a few days before, walk around, discuss all details and just get excited really helped calm our nerves. The day of the wedding, every single staff member was smiling, present and on top of it. They were there to ask what we needed and even had it ready before we even knew we wanted it. We utilized both getting ready suites and our entire bridal party said it was the most relaxing and fun getting ready experience possible. Our guests (and us!) were blown away with how gorgeous the venue was, how much space there was to move around and get outside, the unbelievable food and the strong drinks. Jen even helped when some people needed Ubers at the end of the wedding. I recommend Bear Brook to anyone who wants a delicious, fun and incredible wedding experience. We just had a wedding here at Bear Brook valley 2 days ago and let me say that everything was BEAUTIFUL. From the staff, location, and to the high regard with food quality. I worked initially with Christina as my coordinator who then moved up and got a promotion but I was left in amazing hands with Ensle as well. Day off, all staff team members were all hands on deck and made sure that the day ran by smoothly and both my now husband & I were satisfied. Bridal attendant, Anastasia was incredible as well. I really do not have one bad thing to say about the venue and its team. Everyone was so genuinely sweet and caring. You really can tell they enjoy what they do. All of our guests had amazing things to say as well. I honestly did not hear one bad thing/critique about the night. 1000000/10 would recommend any future brides to book this place. I promise you, you will not regret it.

There are not enough words to express the wonderful experience we had working with Ensle and Bear Brook Valley. From the second we pulled up to Bear Brook and met Ensle we knew this was where we were going to get married. Ensle is AMAZING!!! From beginning to end, his attention to detail and reassuring demeanor were beyond what we could have imagined. Throughout the process, Ensle was always there to answer any questions or calm any fears. He was always kind and thoughtful. Our wedding day was truly magical, and that's in large part due to Ensle and his team at Bear Brook Valley. They really thought of every little detail and made us feel so special and important on our wedding day. All of our guests were blown away by how beautiful Bear Brook is and more importantly how AWESOME the staff was. Our guests still talk about how great the staff and service were and how amazing the food was, especially the cocktail hour!!! As a bride, I was not nervous at all because of how comfortable everyone at Bear Brook made me feel. The bridal attendant I had was on top of everything and kept me calm before walking down the aisle. The maitre d always made sure my husband and I had everything we needed and made sure we always had a drink in our hand! :) Our wedding day was the absolute best day of our lives. We can’t thank Ensle and Bear Brook enough for all that you did for us. This day was even more perfect than we ever could have imagined and we wish we could relive it! We love you guys!!!!

A venue where your dream wedding will come true! A first-time user of the Knot, a quick search, and little filter auto populated late one night in bed the name “Bear Brook Valley.” I quickly glanced and from the first photo it immediately caught my eye. I truly gasped from its natural light, elegant, modern barn setting. I turned to my now husband and said this is THE ONE. We took a day trip out to New Jersey with my parents. While on the drive leading up to the venue - the open landscape, greenery, private gates, and fresh air took our breath away. The BBV staff made us feel so special from the moment they greeted us, sharing their knowledge about the venue and most importantly friendly personalities. Our wedding coordinator and tour guide, Christina Phillips, has the whole package when it comes to working with a wedding vendor and truthfully, she is the reason we closed on BBV’s venue. The tour with Christina was not rushed, organized, and she was extremely patient when answering all our questions. The grounds of BBV are beyond spectacular from how clean, decorated, and bright it is. Many of the features and design at the venue are already in place even without a wedding presently occurring - showing off its natural beauty. The 3 ceremony options, to the indoor/outdoor cocktail hour, groom & bridal suites, outdoor patio, and the magnificent grand reception area kept getting better and better by each room that it was hard to believe a venue offers such a balance of perfection from every angle. My parents, husband and I were blown away and extremely impressed by the layout and how everything is all brought together in one formation. While we were on cloud nine, we sat down to review the handbook that offered one inclusive wedding package with everything you need: 3 on-site ceremony options, a variety of ceremony upgrades - we loved the water/lemonade station, early arrival, bridal attendants, top shelf open bar, signature drinks, food from around the world that have unforgettable tastes, ambiance enhancements/extras - we loved the sweetheart backdrop and cigar/whiskey bar station, and lastly the late night menu - brick oven pizza was our favorite! But the most special part of it all was our engagement date was available and we put down our deposit right there at the end of our tour. From that day moving forward…if it wasn’t for Christina’s guidance and support during the entire wedding planning process - our wedding day would NOT have happened as perfectly as it did. Christina is the most responsive, kindhearted, fantastic representation of Bear Brook Valley. She dealt with every tiny detail, miniscule question and offered advice to us every step of the way. We revisited BBV for our food tasting and let me just say this…your taste buds will POP. It was hands down THE BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER BEEN SERVED AT A WEDDING (and I am not saying that because it was our own wedding, but every guest said the same thing!!!). PLUS, BBV’s chefs accommodate EVERY. SINGLE. FOOD. ALLERGY. Now for the day of the wedding…it could NOT have been more prepared, strategic, and efficient. Every single staff member was respectful, caring, helpful and genuinely happy to be of service to our bridal party and wedding guests. Bear Brook Valley exceeded our expectations. This venue will become a top vendor very soon and we hope to attend this venue as a guest one day! Once you step foot here you will not need to see anything else! Bear Brook is ONE OF A KIND!

If you are looking for a venue the covers ambience, beauty, elegance, food and drinks, Bear Brook Valley is your one stop shop. My fiancé and I booked in March 2021 for an October 2022 wedding and the process of booking the venue and all our other vendors was seamless. Our wedding planner Christina was truly amazing. Her bubbly personality and “can do” attitude made the stressful process of planning a wedding almost easy. All of the vendors that we chose were actually recommended by Bear Brook and Christina personally, and we couldn’t have been more happy with them. Christina was so attentive to our every need and want. She emailed us back in a timely manner with every concern we had and always was so enjoyable to speak with. She even helped orchestrate a surprise I wanted to make happen for the night of the wedding and flawlessly helped me pull it off. I wanted to do a slideshow presentation and the venue even sent me a full video of what the slideshow looked like and sounded like before the big day. Bear Brook has everything you could want in a rustic chic venue. My fiancé and I wanted something elegant but not over the top; something that was different than your cookie cutter wedding venue. The uniqueness of the building and grounds truly makes it a venue unlike any other. Our wedding was early October and the fall foliage against the already stunning backdrop made something out of a fairy tale. Our ceremony happened next to their heart shaped lake and the reflection of the autumn foliage on the water behind us as we said our vows was stunning. The one thing people remember most about a wedding is the food, and Bear Brook doesn’t just deliver, they OWN the food category. Their 90 MINUTE cocktail hour was incredible. They have the options of pairing stations WITH ALCOHOL IN THE STATION so your guests didn’t have to rush the bar. The food is all made on sight and the presentation is beautiful. Literally everything I ate at my wedding, I loved. I was especially impressed with the entrees. Usually the cocktail hour is the best part of the meal and the entrees are lacking. Well, being the groom at the venue, you get to try all FIVE (YES FIVE OPTIONS) for your dinner and every dish was delicious. I would give the food an 11 out of 10 because the expectations of “wedding food” were greatly surpassed. Speaking of food, we also have to comment on the drinks All top shelf liquor, 30 beers on tap for the cocktail hour along a full size bar; our guests LOVED IT. Like I said before, we also loved that there were 5 options for our guests to choose from for their dinner; one beef, one chicken, one fish, one vegetarian and a pork or lamb. The day of the wedding we were treated like royalty. Rebecca, our day attendant, asked us every 20-30 minutes if we needed anything. She was so gracious and kind and made us feel taken care of. The silo suite is a truly beautiful and unique place to get ready for your big day. It sets the tone for the whole celebration and was an entity all to itself. To sum it up, if you are looking for a unique venue that delivers in every aspect of a wedding, Bear Brook is your one stop shop. We had so much positive feedback from our guests. People were asking how we found the venue and saying that THEY wished THEY got married there. We were told by many of our guests that our wedding “was the best wedding they have even been to.” We were so happy that everyone truly enjoyed themselves and had such an amazing experience.

This review is just as much for the venue of BBV as it is for our coordinator, Ensle Guy because he helped everything go smoothly. Planning a wedding is super overwhelming, and some people even go out of their way to hire an outside wedding planner to organize everything. But Ensle from the venue is a multitasking genius and he literally took care of all of the organization hassle for us. He knows how to plan, and of course he knows the venue itself inside and out. He helped keep in contact with all of our vendors, remembered the meticulous details and made sure we were comfortable and had fun on the actual wedding day! Bear Brook Valley in and of itself is a gorgeous venue with ideal backgrounds and settings for pictures. It's a one-stop-shop which made it ideal for me and my husband who wanted to have a seamless and time-saving transition from ceremony to party time. Our guests are still talking about what an amazing time they had, from "the best food I've ever had a wedding" to "the perfect venue". Brides, getting ready in the silo suite will be your dream come true - you will not regret it! And the groomsmen have an amazing setup as well! Lastly, don't sleep on the extras (McDonald's food truck, desserts, etc...) I could go on and on but trust me on this - if you are on the fence, go ahead and book! You won't be disappointed!

Bear Brook Valley made all our wedding dreams come true! The venue is absolutely stunning, but what truly made our wedding day amazing was the staff. They are professional, well trained, kind and seem to truly love their job. Christina was so helpful and accommodating throughout the whole planning process. Caitlin, Rob and Camilo took the best care of us that day. They paid attention to the tiniest of details and were a step ahead of us all day long. Caitlin quickly bustled my dress when everyone else forgot how to do it, Camilo always had a fresh drink in hand for us and Rob took the best care of the boys.Our day was nothing short of perfect because of these four people! The food was plentiful and delicious (my guests won't stop talking about it) and the waitstaff were remarkable. BBV is a well oiled machine, they have thought through each part of the day and truly take care of their couples. We wish we could relive this day over and over and are so thankful we chose BBV!

Bear brook is absolutely incredible. I can’t say enough good things about the magic they created for my wedding day. From the planning process, made easy with online portals and a responsive and helpful coordinator to the extra care taken to keep a stressed out bride calm on the day of, I was blown away by the attention i was given. It rained on my wedding day(which was literally my worst nightmare) and they took extra steps to make me feel special and make the rain a non issue. Thankfully they have so many back up areas for rain ceremonies! They went above and beyond to make sure my groom (who has a food allergy) was safe and well fed. As far as the actual wedding, just wow. Clearly, it is beautiful and the space speaks for itself. The food was incredible & my guests are still raving about how much variety there was! The staff was so sweet, so accommodating & so helpful. My bridal attendant kept me fed and happy all day. The bridal suite is 1000000% worth the money & the late night station was also a huge hit. I wish I could get married there all over again, it was PERECT. There is not one thing I would change!!

I wish I could give more then 5 stars! Bear Brook Valley is the Disney World of weddings. From the tour to our last dance, we felt so special. The staff is all fantastic. The food and drinks are delicious. Our coordinator, Christina was phenomenal. Always willing to hop on the phone to answer questions and answered emails so quickly. The Day of Coordinator for the Bride and Groom made the entire bridal party feel at ease. We are sad it is over! I can’t recommend Bear Brook enough.

Picking a wedding venue felt like one of the hardest choices for while wedding planning because so many other decisions would come as a result. While searching online I found Bear Brook and knew from the photos and other reviews that I had found the one! When touring Bear Brook for the first time Christina was incredibly through to show us all of the details that come with a Bear Brook wedding; 1.5 hour cocktail hour, on site bride and groom suites, standard open bar, the list went on and on. After booking our date Christina and her team helped to guide us every step of the way. It was so great to have someone that I could ask silly question to and who went above and beyond to make sure our day was special. When looking at venues I didn't realize how important it was to find a place that only did one wedding a day. This ultimately became a huge factor! I never had to worry that my day would be anything less than their priority. On the day of my wedding, I took advantage of their bridal suit. Upon arriving, all of my girl's getting ready gifts were set up on the table and breakfast was out. My hair and make up teams were also all set and ready to go! I had a bridal attendant with me all day and she did everything from steaming dresses to making sure I had my comfy shoes ready post ceremony. My groom and his guys felt equally as cared for as they spent the morning playing yard games and hanging out with each other. No detail was spared. Every one of our guests is still talking about how beautiful our wedding was and how much they enjoyed it! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get to attend a BBV wedding as a guest so that I can come back! No need to look further than Bear Brook Valley for your wedding.

If you're even thinking about touring BBV or having your wedding there, DO IT! BBV was perfect from touring, to booking, to our wedding night and the day after. Worth every penny! The ballroom is stunning, with farmhouse tables, floor to ceiling windows, with the gorgeous bridal suite off to one side of the ballroom, a lovely deck with firepits and string lights. They let you use the entire grounds on your wedding day, from the vineyard, to up in the hills surrounding it. They drive you around for all your photos. It is farmhouse chic and soooo elegant at the same time. We booked two years before our wedding, and we were SO lucky to have Christina has our wedding coordinator. She killed it, 1000000% at all times. She basically became a friend, and anything you asked for, she pulled it off flawlessly. When we even booked all of our vendors, every single one raved to us about working with the team at BBV during weddings, and they were not wrong. They even offer every little detail you forget to think about until last minute, bathroom baskets, menu cards, ceremony programs, they do it all for you. The day of the wedding, they had our suites set up with all of my girls' gifts displayed as asked, robes steamed and ready to go. Our bridal attendant Rebecca was amazing, and it felt like between her, Christina, and my photo and video team, and my outside day of coordinator, we were hanging out with friends all day. Our maitre'd Cam was SO fun and honestly had the reception run flawlessly, and we never went without a drink in our hand. The way the staff brings out dinner is in sync, to each table, at once, to the point that family and friends commented on this a lot after the wedding. We did the McDonalds to go truck after, which they honestly almost ran out of food because our entire wedding was AMAZED and excited, hands down the best way to end a wedding! We left my car at the venue and Cam and the team packed up my entire car for me with any decor we dropped off, plus anything left at the venue or in the bridal suites. They had any florals and bouquets in water for me overnight, and all we did the next morning was show up to BBV, get our keys, and head home! From start to finish, BBV helped us plan and execute the perfect wedding day, and not ONE thing went wrong. Truly we could not recommend them more!

You can tell BBV is gorgeous from photos – what really sets it apart is the staff. From the first time we stepped on the property, we felt important to them. So I’d like to share some of the amazing people at BBV we interacted with, and how they went above and beyond in their service. Our day-of coordinator was Ensle. He checked in with us every few months, and responded to even the most mundane emails within 24 hours. He never made me feel silly about my questions. On the day of, he checked with me multiple times to make sure the ballroom was being set up in the way that I imagined. We chose the tailgate station for the cocktail hour, and even though my husband is a rare Saints fan from NJ, Ensle decorated the station so well! When we went back to collect our decor the next day, Ensle and his team had carefully packaged and cleaned EVERYTHING – such a help! My husband’s attendant, Rob, was a favorite among the guys. He was friendly and knowledgeable about whiskey and cigars, which the guys loved. They are still talking about the Japanese whiskey Rob introduced them to. He worked the cigar and whiskey bar later that evening, and even had a tiny little cigar waiting behind the bar for me. When we went back the next morning, Rob was already hard at work behind the bar preparing for the next day’s wedding. My bridal attendant, Caitlin, went above and beyond for me the ENTIRE day. When we arrived at the Silo Suite, my gifts to my girls were laid out and ready for them. She steamed the bridesmaids’ dresses. When I was getting my hair done, she asked if I needed more food or water. There was a chance of rain, and she kept me at ease. During photos, she had drinks ready for us. She drove the little buggy and navigated the hell out of those grounds! She even helped me with my veil and bustle, which my MOH was pretty relieved about. It was just Caitlin and I in the suite before I walked down the aisle, and it felt like I was sharing a special moment with a friend I’d had forever. She ensured that what could’ve been a very stressful day was nothing I had to think twice about. Our maître d' was Cam. The NICEST guy! He allowed us to give our shuttle service his # so that he could ensure all our guests were safely transported. He checked in with us all night, making sure we had drinks in our hands, and he did the same thing for our immediate family. I never had to search for Cam. When I wanted the photographer to take a picture, Cam grabbed him for me. When one of our shuttle tried to leave with only 2 people on board, he stopped them and made sure the van filled up before leaving. When some guests were too intoxicated to drive, Cam allowed them to park overnight. THE FOOD! Just absolutely over-the-top good. My favorite question to my guests has been, “what was your favorite thing you ate?” Some of the top favorites included the hanger steak from cocktail hour, the mahi-mahi entree, and the donuts from the add-on donut wall. One of my favorite moments was when they allowed us to walk around and our cocktail hour and eat more before closing it up for the night. Basically everywhere you turned, there was more food. “Fantastic” isn’t a strong enough word. If you can swing for some upgrades, our favorites were the Silo Suite/Woodford lounge, the cigar and whiskey bar, and the late night food as your favor. We had the PERFECT wedding day, and it was only possible through the efforts of Ensle, Rob, Caitlin, Cam, and the entire staff of BBV.

We had our dream wedding at Bear Brook Valley this past May. Their entire event staff from the moment you walk through the door (Emma is so nice), to when your wedding ends, they make you feel like you're the only couple who exists. They do such a good job at everything. Christina, the event coordinator, is so kind and you can tell she is really passionate about her job. She makes the entire process of planning your wedding so east and stress free. The day of the bridal and grooms attendant are so great and attentive and we couldn't have asked for anything more. It rained on our wedding day and the event staff switched everything to the stables so quickly and coordinated it like that was the original plan. They have their operation down to a science there and I really did not have any complaints. If you are able to book at Bear Brook, you should!

Our wedding was an absolute dream and it couldn’t have happened without the stellar staff at Bear Brook Valley. From the minute we booked our wedding in July 2020, to our wedding day in March 2022, we had nothing but a wonderful experience with BBV. We worked with many truly helpful people throughout our planning process, but it was our coordinator, Jen, who was the glue that held everything together. She was responsive (even as we sent emails almost daily close to the wedding!), a wealth of knowledge, and, above all, extremely kind. She handled any challenge and last-minute change with grace and patience, and we will forever be grateful that we got to plan our wedding with her. On the day of the wedding, Becca, Rob and Tessa were there for us every step of the way, and we could not have asked for a better crew. We got almost as many compliments about the friendliness and quality of the waitstaff, bartenders, and valets as we did about the food! Make no mistake–you and your guests will be fed, you will drink your drinks, and you will be happy as can be. The food is incredible and plentiful–this isn’t a venue to bring your diet to! Our guests couldn’t get enough of the food at cocktail hour (the Cuban station was a home run–the yuca balls were to die for!), and couldn’t believe their eyes at the dinner portions set in front of them. Add in delicious cake, awesome mini desserts, ice cream, and late-night pizza, and we had a wedding that was named, multiple times, “the best wedding I’ve ever been to.” We knew BBV was our venue from the minute we walked in the door, and still cannot believe we got to have our wedding there. You get what you pay for and hands down, Bear Brook was worth every single penny. We can only hope one of our guests books their wedding here in the future so we can come back and visit! Thank you, thank you, thank you, to Jen, Becca, Rob, Tessa and the entire BBV staff for everything–we can’t express our gratitude enough!

My husband and I had our wedding at Bear Brook Valley in March 2022, and we could not be more satisfied and happy with our wedding day. Everyone at Bear Brook was extremely accommodating and nice. It was very cold and windy during the day, and we wanted to have our first look and photos outside. My bridal attendant, followed me around with a blanket to cover me between pictures and brought me hot teas to keep me warm. Throughout the night, someone was always there to make sure we had what we needed. We definitely ate every bit of food there was because the staff made sure to set up specials plates for us to eat and try everything. All of our guests were amazed by the service, the views, and the overall experience. We would definitely recommend anyone to have their wedding at Bear Brook Valley.

Where to even begin...from the moment we stepped into Bear Brook Valley we knew that this was where we wanted to get married and would be a true fairytale. Unfortunately we had to push out our dream day by one year, but the BBV team was there every step of the way to answer any of our questions and to make sure everything transitioned smoothly. We finally had our day this past November and it was purely magical! I cannot thank the BBV team enough (especially Jen, Rebecca, and Tessa) for making our day so special and perfect. We wish we could relive it! You will not regret anything if you book BBV.

This venue and its staff are amazing and helped to make my day perfect! Through the wedding planning process I felt very supported by Christina who was there to answer all of my questions from big items down to the tiny details. On the day of we had a few hiccups with other vendors and weather and the staff were able to handle all of the issues to keep me from being stressed out. The food was incredible! I am still getting comments from guests on how much they loved the food. I'm only sad I was so busy with the guests and photos that I didn't get to enjoy more of it myself - but what I did eat I really enjoyed. I cannot say enough great things about this venue and will recommend to everyone I know that is in search of a venue!

I can’t recommend Bear Brook Valley enough if you are planning your wedding! We originally booked our wedding for 08.02.2020 after setting up an in person tour where they were very welcoming and up front with pricing. During the planning process, we were appointed a coordinator who was very responsive to any questions we had via email. In June of 2020, we expressed that we wanted to move our wedding reception to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and BBV worked with us to move the date without any fees or hassle- I was SO grateful for this! When August 2021 finally came we had the most magical day. The bridal and groom attendants are AMAZING (Kasey literally saved the day multiple times over) and the day of coordinators helped everything run smoothly. It was the wedding we had dreamed of and it was truly all thanks to the unbelievably fantastic staff at BBV. Other than the process and team, you can’t say enough about the venue. The grounds are gorgeous with so many great places to take photos and the cocktail hour, reception hall and ceremony sites are clean, new, and so beautiful. There are so many options for adding on extra features, picking your menu, rain back up ceremony sites, and food to go for guests. Not to mention the food is incredibly good and the cocktail hour is filled with tons of choices. If you’re considering Bear Brook Valley for your wedding, book a tour and see for yourself! There aren't enough words to express how amazing our day was and how happy we and our guests were with Bear Brook Valley. Everything was absolutely perfect through the planning process to the day of our wedding. We felt so special and it was incredible to have the beautiful space all to ourselves to spend the day relaxing and getting ready with our bridal party. We didn't have to worry about a thing because the staff at Bear Brook Valley was so attentive, helpful and kind. At the end of the night, we didn't want to leave! So many of our guests sincerely told us ours was the best wedding they had ever been to and still rave about Bear Brook Valley. We truly could not agree more!

When I asked my daughter Devyn (who is definitely an A type personality)how she felt her wedding on 8/27/21 turned out, her answer was "A dream come true". Booking BBV as her venue was the best choice she could have made. From the beauty of the venue, indoors and outdoors, to the amazing bride and groom suites, to the exceptional staff that was there no matter what we needed throughout the day. I had so many guests contact me raving about the cocktail hour and all of the food being outrageous. One guest told me she has gone to umpteen weddings and this was the first time her filet mignon was ever cooked precisely how she asked for it. I was asked numerous time "How did you find this place" Thank you The Knot! There are always hiccups in any well thought out plans, but the staff was always there to smooth out any wrinkles, including back up for weather that would not cooperate. I can't say enough about out maitre d'! She was on top pf everything from beginning till end. We never had to ask her for anything, as soon as we saw something that needed attention she was always right on it before we could ask, and with a big smile on her face, I might add. Five stars are not enough of a rating for BBV. My suggestions for couples looking for a venue - This is THE place to go!

I am absolutely blown away by our experience getting married at Bear Brook Valley on August 19, 2021. The team was unbelievably amazing throughout the entire planning experience, which included rescheduling once due to COVID. Jen T. was our coordinator, and she answered every single one of our many, many emails and questions in less than 24 hours. They were so accommodating throughout planning, from the initial meeting, to the rescheduling process (which they did as fairly as they possibly could have), to adding and changing a few things within the last few weeks before the wedding, to on-site coordination. As someone who often works events, I was just floored by how they handled everything during the wedding. We got married off-site, but decided to get ready in the silo suite and groomsmen lounge, which kicked off the day with attendants who handled every single thing – from steaming dresses to bringing drinks and food to making sure we were as stress-free as possible. After our ceremony, we were greeted with our signature cocktails and overly enthusiastic and excited attendants, which made us feel so special! The cocktail hour was UNREAL – our guests were floored by the sheer amount of food, the unique stations and the insane quality! The rest of the staff – from our incredible maître de, to the servers and bartenders, to the kitchen staff – everything was so perfect. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, everything ran so incredibly smoothly, like a well-oiled machine. Our decorations were set up perfectly, and even packaged up AND packed up in our car for us to pick up the following morning. Truly cannot express what an incredible, incredible experience we had with Bear Brook Valley. Could not have imagined a more perfect day and venue.

All we can say is WOW! We are still floored by the wedding that Bear Brook put on for us. It was truly a dream come true. Bear Brook was the first venue we saw on our search, and we immediately knew it was the one. The absolute best decision we made - never once had any doubts. They are truly so much more than a wedding venue; the BBV team has thought through every single detail to make every wedding special and unique for each bride and groom. Multiple guests came up to us during the wedding and said (unprovoked) that this was the best wedding they’ve ever been too. And that is in large part thanks to BBV. From the incredible, plentiful food, to the beautiful setting and dedicated staff, we cannot thank the team enough. Food choices and quality was excellent. Cocktail hour was 1.5hrs with plenty of seating and a world-class bar with so many options. Dinner options were all delicious (but the pork chop was our favorite). The venue was built with the intention of hosting weddings and it shows. Every small thing that bothers you about the way all other weddings are, Bear Brook fixes that and makes the experience better. Silo Suite & Woodford Lounge, food options on the way out, extended cocktail hour, beautiful grounds all to yourself for the day. Having our wedding at Bear Brook was everything we could have imagined and MORE! This was the first venue we saw when we started looking and realized that all of the other 10+ venues we saw after that just paled in comparison. I think the venue honestly sells itself because it's so beautiful and stunning. Also, the fact that they are all-inclusive is a huge game-changer because there's really not much we needed to coordinate otherwise! We had originally booked our wedding for July 2020 but of course COVID had other plans. We only had an issue with rescheduling because they decided to do it in order by the actual date of the wedding instead of when the couple booked so someone that booked a few weeks ago had first dibs over us that booked over a year ago if their date was before ours. They rectified that with a minimum guest count reduction and a discount which was greatly appreciated and helped offset the costs of having our wedding on a Sunday instead of a Friday. The staff otherwise was incredibly friendly and always helpful. They are very organized and provide attendants and maitre'd's day of who were all wonderful to work with and made the day so smooth! The food was amazing and we received so many compliments on how delicious everything was! We actually had a chance to eat ourselves because they brought us sample platters and made sure we were taken care of. We had the Brick Oven pizza add on as our wedding favor that people could grab on their way out at the end of the night. They packed us a few pizzas and a to-go dessert box which we gladly enjoyed the night of and next day! Overall we loved Bear Brook and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful all-inclusive venue that has everything!

Spectacular. The beautiful grounds, the modern, rustic chic design, the staff, and the rooms for both the groom and bride to get ready in are just a few reasons why Bear Brook Valley was my dream wedding venue! I feel so lucky to have booked with BBV, especially when it came to rescheduling our wedding due to COVID because they were so accommodating and understanding. The staff made it such an easy process from beginning to end. Our guests cannot stop commenting on how incredibly gorgeous the venue was, how delicious the food was, and when they say it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to, you can tell they really mean it! I could honestly go on and on about all the reasons I love BBV so much, but pictures and communicating with staff will be enough to have you saying, “Booked Bear Brook!” Thank you so so much for the best day ever ❤️

My son's wedding was originally planned for July 2020 and we had to reschedule. The reception took place on Sunday and it was amazing!! The venue is so beautiful and spacious and it's so nice to have the outdoor space and lawn games. The food was incredible and people actually thought the cocktail hour food was dinner! There was so much variety and everything was delicious! I have to give special mention to Kaitlyn and Rob who took care of us in the suites all day. They were so nice and professional and made us feel so pampered. The entire staff was so professional and nice! It made the day even more special. I would highly recommend having your wedding at Bear Brook Valley!!

absolutely stay away from this place. I’ll keep this short and sweet, the venue is run poorly and understaffed and it shows. As a bride I never felt they were there to make my day less stressful and they never went “ above and beyond” it’s more like bare minimum. The amount this venue costs you would think they would be attentive but they were the opposite of that and almost avoided me all night because of the things going wrong at the venue. I could go on and on about specific details and things that were just absurdly horrible but really how I was treated is why I’m writing this. As a bride to help out anyone into making this huge decision to trust a venue and to feel special your day PLEASE don’t go here they are after the money and to crank out weddings, not here to make your day memorable.

Hard time find words to even describe how outstanding Bear Brook Valley is! Truly an amazing experience getting married there - between the phenomenal location, food, and incredible service, it was a dream come true. Our guests are still raving about our wedding, saying it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to! Getting married during the pandemic wasn't easy, but BBV made it simple and as stress free as possible. The communication was spot on and we were always kept informed about guidelines and restrictions. We feel so lucky to have worked with Christina and the entire Bear Brook family, who helped us pull together the wedding of our dreams. The day of was beyond amazing and everything went so smoothly thanks to the all star team. We will forever be grateful and hope one day we can come back to BBV as wedding guests!

Best venue ever! There’s so much we could say about how much we loved having our wedding here! From the ambiance, the decor, the cleanliness of the place, the food selection, the employees to being able to customize the day to make it our own - the entire experience was AMAZING! We couldn’t recommend this place more! The team at Bear Brook made sure that we had the most wonderful / perfect wedding day and that is exactly what happened! We loved being there early and getting ready in Silo Suite & Woodford Lounge - it really made the whole day feel special! The ceremony in front of the pond was romantic and lovely and the Cocktail Hour got guests into the celebrating & party mood! We have received SO many compliments about Bear Brook from our guests. The venue and staff were simply outstanding and we would both recommend Bear Brook 10 times out of 10!

Let me start by saying this is the first review I have ever taken the time out to write and it is only because of how amazing Bear Brook Valley is. Planning a wedding during COVID was super stressful but BBV did everything they could and more to make it easy. I had many friends and family members who were getting married and their venues didn't do half of what Bear Brook did. The staff is amazing from the coordinators to the day of staff; they make sure everything is perfect. A special shout out to Juana who does it all- she made our wedding. Our guests raved about the venue and how pretty it was and how great the food was. I can only hope one day we can attend a wedding here as a guest. Thank you Bear Brook for giving us the dream wedding we hoped for!

Our wedding at Bear Brook Valley was a dream come true. The beauty of the venue speaks for itself, but the staff truly go above and beyond to make your day special. Leading up to our wedding day, every phone call and email was answered promptly and thoroughly which put us at ease knowing we were in good hands. My husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing on the day of the wedding or even the day after since the staff packed up all of our items and decor. The entire day was unbelievably organized and everything ran according to plan. Juana, our Maître D', was absolutely incredible, and we are so thankful for her. She hyped us up, kept the drinks flowing, and was ready and willing to help with anything we needed. Bear Brook Valley's rustic chic vibe, delicious food, stunning grounds, and spacious getting ready suites made it our dream venue. We really couldn't have asked for more, and we hope to attend a wedding here as guests one day!

My husband and I researched venues throughout New Jersey and New York in search of the perfect place to celebrate our wedding. Bear Brook Valley was the most incredible venue that delivered the best wedding day we could have imagined. We wanted a day that was exceptional and extravagant without being stuffy; Bear Brook certainly provided the most upbeat, fun, lavish day. Logistically, Katrina is extremely organized and prompt; coordinating with her throughout the wedding process was truly a joy. She provided clear lists and benchmarks that helped keep us organized and on track with a timeline; she was so communicative that we did not need to hire a wedding coordinator outside of the venue. On our end, I have an extreme attention to detail (a little OCD!), and Katrina was on top of every last item that made it easy to give her full control and relax on the day of. Stylistically, Bear Brook allowed us to truly personalize the reception so that it felt like us. Everything from the food to the décor had nods to us as a couple. On the day of, the food is nothing short of exceptional; our wedding was almost a full year ago, and our guests are still talking about the outrageous cocktail hour. The “package” that Bear Brook provides far exceeds that of any other venue. Perhaps the most underestimated quality, though, is how amazing the staff is. Everyone - from the coordinators, to the attendants, to the waiters, to the bartenders - is joyful, knowledgeable, and efficient. They have the process of putting on a 200+ person wedding down to a science, while still letting it feel unique, fun, and personal. I wish that we could get married a second time just to be able to work with the people again. If you’re thinking about Bear Brook Valley, don’t hesitate another second and book!

We got married at Bear Brook Valley on October 25, 2019 and had the most perfect, storybook day. Throughout the whole planning process, the team was available to answer every question and concern and give their opinions when I needed them. The details appointment prior to the wedding had me feeling very settled and certain that things would run smoothly as they wrote down my every thought, want and concern for the day. When it was finally wedding week we dropped everything off, and again, they listened to me go through my entire day from start to finish the way I pictured it. While they were amazing throughout the entire process, nothing can compare to the service on the day of. From the moment we walked in we knew we were in great hands. We rented out both suites for the day where the staff took excellent care of us, from my picky eating to my fear of tripping down the stairs. They were friendly and helpful, not just myself and my husband, but our parents and bridal party. They ran our entire day from start to finish so we did not even have to think about our timeline, our lunches or anything besides the fun we were having. Heather and Juana left no stone unturned and Emma was amazing and looked out for me right down to lipstick touchups and a glass of wine. Our guests still rave about our elaborate cocktail hour, our beautiful outdoor backdrop and the upstairs ballroom. Guests even noticed how amazing the day-of staff was and commented on it after the wedding. Our day could not have been more perfect thanks to Perry’s team. Wish we could go back and do it all again!

Stay away! This venue is the worst! They don't care about clients, only their bottom line. They will take your money without a care, even during a global pandemic. I am writing you to alert of the unethically business practices of the Bear Brook Valley Wedding venue in Newton, NJ. When awareness of the pandemic first became prominent, I reached out to my contact at the venue Heather Truesdale in March, to ask about what their procedure was on handling upcoming events during these unprecedented times. My concerns were dismissed due to my wedding being in July, with no consideration for the other facets that goes into executing an event of this magnitude (sending out invitations, dress fittings, food tasting, other vendors, etc). Hi reached out to the venue again in April after they began "rebooking" March and April dates. I was told as of right now they were only rebooking through May. I reached out again in April expressing my frustrations, but again I was dismissed and the reason being that they were "waiting on answers from the state as to when [they] can or cannot host". However, I believe at this point the governor of NJ placed a ban on all large gatherings until further notice and to date that hasn't been lifted. Nonetheless, yesterday May 7th I received an email from Heather stating that the venue plans on staying open for July, (even though on their website it states they are currently closed) and I had 24hrs to decide whether to keep my date and put a tentative date on hold or completely rebook to a new date based on the currently available dates (see below). I paid almost the full balance for a peak month and day wedding date to only have the Thursdays and winter months to choose from within 24hrs. I asked for more time to think about my options and that was denied. I asked to be better accommodated financially given that July weddings are a peak month and pay higher than most months and that was denied. At this point we've made a deposit of about $25,000. We eventually got to the point where I asked for a full refund, giving that we couldn't come to a mutual agreement, and the uncertainty of the venue being able to perform the service they are obligated to in our contracted July date. I was then directed to their legal them, as according to them it would be a cancellation on my part. I never reached out to cancel or mentioned anything about cancellations. I requested a full refund based on the fact that we couldn't come to a mutual agreement on rebooking a new date and on the CDC, government regulations, the environment of uncertainty and unpredictability that we should not hold any large gatherings until further notice. I spoke with Steven A Loeb from the legal team who was very unhelpful and unprofessional. He stated that he would recommend that Bear Brook Valley terminate our contract. I asked and what basis he said he doesn't represent us. So I asked if that meant he couldn't explain on what basis our contract would be terminated? He repeated himself and eventually we got no where. I reached back out to Heather to inform how my call went with Steven and to let her know at this point I can't make a decision. We went back and forth a bit for her to basically say if I keep my July contracted date and they are unable to perform the venue will keep my full deposit based on their force majeure. At this point we have to get our attorney involved. These people are callous!

I don't think Bear Brook Valley needs any more 5 star reviews, but here goes. This is hands down the most amazing place you could imagine to have your wedding. It is absolutely stunning! The attention to detail to making this place exclusively a wedding venue is extraordinary. Not a single square inch of the venue is wasted; it was designed to host a wedding from start to finish. Planning with them was so simple! You have your one point of contact the entire time and they handle everything. No worries about rentals, overwhelming options, and hiring multiple different companies. Bear Brook is your venue, caterer, bartender, rental supply, cake supplier (included in contract price but you order at provided bakery), set up and tear down crew, and even day of coordinator! The amount that you are saving by having BBV provide all of this for you is priceless! Like, do you know how much an independent day of coordinator costs? Oh, and their prices are inclusive of sales tax and they don't charge a service fee. Venues we thought were more affordable really weren't after you add on that tax and 22% gratuities. I love the honestly and integrity behind their no hidden fee pricing and their "leave gratuities if you feel moved to" tipping philosophy. At BBV you are a part of their family. Even though they do so many weddings a year, it's always like you are their top priority. For our wedding, we dropped off our decor 2 days in advance and had the place to ourselves with Becca, the day of coordinator, and Juanna the Maitre D, and were able to set some stuff up with them and they had no problem with me meticulously telling them how I wanted everything. They were happy to oblige! After the wedding, we left my husband's truck in the parking lot and they had it packed up ready to go with all our decor the next day. Like, what venue does that?! That's just a little peak into the service the staff will provide to make you feel like royalty on your special day. In all, BBV is just the perfect modern wedding venue. It's rustic yet timelessly elegant. You can get ready in the beautiful Silo Suite that has everything you need, or the Woodford Lounge with all the games your groom will love. You can get married on site and have a perfectly seamless transition from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to reception; guests are never bouncing back and forth between locations. You have an abundant of stunning locations for photos so you have all different kinds of backdrops without ever having to leave the venue. You get a flexible and accommodating staff that says things like "well we've never done that before, but that sounds great, let's do it!" or "we reduced the price of [an upgrade] in our package this year so I credited your account the [few hundred dollar] difference!" And you get the job of 6 different vendors all rolled up into one easy package, no complex tiers to weigh options. You will not regret booking Bear Brook. That's just the honest truth :)

I can't say enough about the staff at Bear Brook. Obviously the venue itself is stunning, but the staff is what really makes it. From start to finish - they were so accommodating, professional and helpful. We had our initial tour with Becca and she was with us all the way until the end of our reception - she was amazing throughout the entire process. Throughout the entire night she made sure to continue checking in on, not only me and my husband, but our families as well. We had originally started with Katrina (who was also amazing) and just a few months before our wedding day, Heather stepped in as her replacement (equally as amazing!). Our bridal attendant for the day was Angelica, towards the end of the day she had told me that it was her first day bridal attending on her own - I had no idea. She was so attentive and I would have thought she's been doing this for years. Juana the Maitre D was phenomenal. Service was amazing, she remained happy and bubbly throughout the night, also checking in making sure we never had an empty plate or drink. What really blew us away was when Perry & Michele (the owners) were present at the cocktail hour. Such a special touch seeing them there, mingling and even asking me if I needed another drink because my glass was empty! NOW - the food.... was out of this world. Our family and friends cannot stop raving about how amazing the cocktail hour was, the entree and the brick oven pizzas on the way out. This venue is top notch from the scenery to the food and especially the service. Honestly you won't find a better place to have your wedding - it's a one stop shop and they really take the stress out of wedding planning.

Bear Brook Valley was the best choice we ever made to have our venue! Everything was perfect, the staff and food were amazing. Whatever you need, everyone was so helpful and attentive. Many of guests complemented how wonderful everything was, especially the food. Our guests had nothing but great things to say. Our experience was wonderful and would highly recommend this venue to any couple.

Just had our wedding at Bear Brook on November 1st 2019 and we could not be happier about how everything went! The experienced staff was with us every step of the way in planning not only for the Bear Brook related decisions but also for when we should have our vendors booked, where we could get our dresses and suits, and fun ideas to have throughout the day. They were flexible with us when we changed our minds and helped mold our thoughts into fully formed ideas. The day of, the staff was more attentive than I have seen at any other venue. They were incredibly organized and would consistently check up on us to make sure not only my husband and I, but our entire bridal party, was happy with everything. The day could not have run smoother, and they thought of things that we had never expected, like putting out hot apple cider when it got chilly for our outdoor ceremony. The property was a gorgeous place to take pictures and we have not stopped receiving compliments on the food, beer selection, and the venue itself from our guests. We could not recommend Perry and his team enough!!!

I cannot say enough good thing about this place. The food was absolutely incredible. All of our guests said they've never seen a cocktail hour quite like it - complete with tequila shots, chocolate covered bacon and a buffalo sauce fountain just to name a few. The staff was so amazing in all the days leading up to the wedding, the day of and the day after. They truly make you feel like family. There was never anything I needed, they were always a step ahead of me and would give me something before I event asked. I hope someone I know gets married here just so I can go back!

Our wedding day was everything we dreamed it would be and the service was top notch. I was able to enjoy the day and not worry about anything! The staff was so attentive and set up everything exactly how we talked about in the detail appointments and planning emails. Everyone loved the atmosphere, grounds and especially the food.
