I wouldn’t recommend this wedding venue for a few important reasons. Indoor loft is WAY too small, don’t let them tell you it fits 200 people for a ceremony, no way. 120 for my wedding was way too tight and the aisle to walk down is terribly short which makes for an awkward wedding ceremony. Not ideal, do it outdoors if weather is nice enough. Also, it felt like there was no air conditioning so I wouldn’t recommend a summer wedding. Dance is forced to be upstairs in the loft, which makes for a separated wedding. Going up and down stairs in my dress and trying to talk with all of the guests was terrible. I believe the dance is upstairs because the floor gets too slippery downstairs, my suggestion is add different flooring in a small area on the main floor to avoid this issue, it would make a lot of brides/grooms happier. There is no option for set up the night before or clean up the day after unless you want to pay $200 per hour. Bearwood charges a 15% fee on the cater bill which makes zero sense because they don’t help with the catering or do any of the clean up. Katie (owner) was very unpleasant and unorganized. We had misleading information during our venue tour and upon signing the contract. So be careful, as things will be changed after signing the contract because they are new and haven’t quite figured it out yet. Had to pry information from Katie as far as how the venue would be set up (still wasn’t set up how I had asked) what size the tables were, how many tables, tablecloths, night before set up, basically everything that should have been given to me immediately after signing the contract. Chad was super nice during day of set up. I know I will get a rude and unprofessional response to this review from Katie based on her other responses to negative reviews, but the way she handled things over the past 8 months with communication is unacceptable.

Bearwood event center would come highly recommended for your special event. We were very pleased with the location and setting of the event center. The owners were very responsive and accommodated our needs readily.

Chad and Katie were very fun to work with. They helped us make sure the day ran smoothly and stepped up to help set up and take down the venue. Their venue is quiet and spacious and easy to navigate to.

What an amazing wedding venue. We truly had the best day ever! Our experience was fantastic and we didn’t break our bank by choosing Bearwood Event Barn to be our venue! Katie and Chad were always available! They answered every question we had in a timely fashion. They supported us in organizing and preparing different things to make our day go smooth and be stress free. They were there with their clean up crew at the end of the night to help take down everything. The barn is absolutely gorgeous! They recently added chandeliers which really made the barn pop! We received so many positive compliments about the barn from our guests. Katie and Chad have really done a great job with the place! You won’t be disappointed if you choose Bearwood Event Barn!!

Wish there was a place for the guys to get ready in that was promised. We also were told the deck/back patio would have been done for us as well as the parking lot paved, and those weren't done by August 2020 either. The catering that you had to go with was very expensive and the drinks were very small and extremely overpriced. So keep a close eye on that as it will add up quickly. Beautiful location and pretty secluded. Big parking lot. Says it would fit 300 guests indoors but that would be a very tight fit, 250 would be pushing it for an upstairs ceremony. Slightly less accommodating for our Covid wedding, we had to go back and forth with them and plead to get what we wanted for our guests for safe distanced tables/chairs in the loft. They told us we couldn't use their tables/chairs outdoors if we needed to for Covid and we'd need to rent all that plus rent a tent; so another added expense. All around a pretty good experience but would definitely advise people to look into catering costs before booking. Being their first year in business, they have some work to do.
