Beautiful Faces is affordable and everyone in my bridal party felt beautiful and great. It was also a rainy, cold winter day, but our hair and makeup stayed PERFECT throughout (still don't know what Amanda put in my curly hair to make it stay so nice). It was hectic getting ready and I shouldn’t have trusted her timeline that we could stick to 30 minutes per person for both hair and makeup. I assume the delay was because of my guests running a few minutes late or not knowing what they wanted because both Janis and Amanda are incredibly efficient (but do learn from my mistake and budget more time than 30 minutes each if you have a large group). I didn’t want a ton of makeup because I wanted to look like myself, and Janis was great about checking in with me and making sure I had the look I wanted. She even special ordered a pair of ridiculously lightweight faux lashes because I didn’t want them to be too much. The wedding party all looked fantastic, but what is often overlooked is that everyone’s hair and makeup lasted all day. Janis and Amanda made sure to use enough pins and hairspray and setting powder or whatever so that everyone looked great from noon to 11pm. Janis also left each one of us a lip gloss to reapply that as needed. I did 2 trials with Janis and one with Amanda before the big day and couldn’t have been happier with my look. They were great to be around while getting ready and were reasonably priced. Highly recommend them both!

made us feel so comfortable, listening to our requests for soft makeup and simple, lightly curled hair. Danielle and Deidra were very easy going (even when they arrived at our hotel at 6am the day of the wedding!), helping all the girls relax and enjoy the morning together. As someone who doesn't usually wear any makeup, Deidra was amazing in making me feel comfortable in my own skin. I actually did two makeup trials with Deidra (the second of which she came to my apartment!), and felt very confident with the natural look we ended up going with. Deidra did an amazing job listening to the desires of all the girls - some of which wanted false lashes, others which wanted just mascara - and made everyone feel their best. Danielle was an all star for our wedding. She brought an assistant to help with the initial curling of the hair, but didn't charge us anything extra. Danielle was also very flexible, taking on an additional three ladies who hadn't planned on getting their hair done, and still finished before schedule. I would highly recommend Beautiful Faces, especially Danielle and Deidra, if you are looking for professionalism and attention to detail with your wedding hair and makeup!

Many of the girls had long hair but Amanda was able to keep everything on schedule and looking beautiful. My hair is normally awful at holding a curl, but she must have used magic, since it was still curly at the end of the night. Janis was absolutely wonderful as well. She was super attentive to detail and making sure that each person was happy and comfortable with their makeup. She was incredibly friendly and willing to answer any questions we had about what different makeup bits an pieces were for (I normally go for a "natural" look, so I don't know a lot about makeup). I loved how everything came out, and they were punctual, efficient and very professional as well as being fun to get ready with! I would definitely recommend them.

Not only does the trial give you a sense of what your makeup will look like the 'day of' but also a sense of security and confidence in what to expect. In our case both my wife and I do not wear makeup, so it was crucial that we look like ourselves and not fake. This is where Michelle really nailed it because she make us look like ourselves and none of the makeup wore off with our happy tears = ) Not only did Michelle show up on time but she finished early, seriously! We couldn't have imagined working with anyone else. Janis, Michelle and her team are true professionals and I promise you will not regret it!! All the bridesmaids received extra lip stain for touch ups and a case for their fake lashes if they wanted them. My makeup came out great, lasted all night and was as stress-free as it can be on your wedding day.

The day of the wedding, they did hair and makeup for three bridesmaids, my mother and mother-in-law. Each girl has very different styles and all of them loved their hair and makeup. Everyone got exactly the look they wanted. The highest praise was from my Lebanese mother-in-law who was very nervous about having someone she didn’t pick do her hair and makeup. She told me multiple times after the wedding that she LOVED her hair and makeup, so much that she’d hire Michelle and Amanda for future events.

I knew then I wanted to hire Janis and Amanda for my wedding day. Since I was planning my wedding from across the country, I had very limited availability for hair & makeup trials. But Janis and Amanda were very flexible, and fit me in during a trip I'd planned to the east coast. During the trial, Janis and Amanda listened carefully to what I wanted and didn't want, and worked with me to create looks that made me feel naturally beautiful - and like myself! Amanda was also super helpful in coming up with a style that used my natural curls, which was important to me, and patiently tweaked them after I'd changed my mind! On the morning of my wedding, Janis, Amanda, and Deirdre arrived bright and early at 7:30 am ready to do hair and makeup for me and my "wedding crew" of 8, including 6 bridesmaids, our officiant, and my mom! Janis listened carefully to what each person wanted for their makeup and any concerns they had, making sure they were comfortable with the whole process. She was happy to adjust to their style - some women wanted minimal makeup and some wanted it heavier, and Janis worked effortlessly to bring out everyone's natural beauty and radiance! And I got that natural, glowing wedding day look I had hoped for. I highly recommend Janis and Amanda!

never been so pleased with makeup application as I was with my trial and wedding day with Janis. It lasted the entire night and didn't smudge once. . First thing I noticed on her website, filled me hope from the start--she featured a number of pictures of minority brides. As an African-American, though lighter toned, getting my makeup done by others has been hit or miss in the past. Not all white make up artists really know how to do makeup on darker skin tones without making me look paler. The fact that Janis showed experience working with a range of skin tones right from the start gave me confidence. She was helpful and clear in her emails and her prices very reasonable. When I had my trial with her for makeup and Janelle,for hair, I was blown away. I don't wear makeup on a daily basis, only for special occasions, and I'm always apprehensive that I won't look like me when it's done. When I saw myself in the mirror after my trial, I was amazed. I looked like the most glamorous but still comfortable version of me that I had ever been. My hair experience was equally amazing. Two pictures from Pinterest and Janelle instantly understood what I wanted and executed it to perfection. Notes and pictures were taken to ensure nothing was forgotten day-of. Morning before the wedding, Janis and her team showed up on time and got me and my bridesmaids looking fabulous without a lick of stress. We were so far ahead of schedule that one of my bridesmaids who thought she didn't want professional makeup, and had only planned on getting her hair done, was able to change her mind once she saw how amazing the rest of us looked with our makeup done. It was a relaxing experience for what could have been a stressful morning with 7 women needing hair and makeup done in time for a 2:30 ceremony. I looked and felt amazing and beautiful all day thanks to the fabulous work of Janis and Janelle!

When I met with Janis for my make-up trial and Janelle for my hair trial, they were very concerned that I felt comfortable and that they used styles that made me feel like "a better version of me." Janis invited my mom and grandma into her home for a trial, and put us quickly at ease with her extensive knowledge, incredible amount of product, and genial spirit. Janelle came directly to my house for the trial, and her friendly and funny demeanor made our time together feel more like hanging out with a good friend. After my trials, I never worried again for a moment about how I would look because I knew I was in such great hands! Word spread of how great Janis and Janelle were... Next thing I knew, things had turned into "my big fat Italian wedding" and we had 12 people wanting hair and make-up services!!! Even though I had originally spoken to Janis about doing only four people, she immediately found additional staff for the day (Lindsay, Tanya), who also were excellent. They were even so kind as to do hair and make-up in two separate locations so that my elderly relatives would not need to climb the stairs to my parents' house. Even though we needed to get ready early since there were so many of us, our hair and make-up looked perfect for over 12 hours -- there was still not a faded lip color or hair out of place even after outdoor photos and hours of dancing. I cannot recommend "Beautiful Faces" enough. I have never felt so beautiful!

I had a pretty big bridal party and was concerned about the total cost and she was able to work with my budget. Alicia ended up doing our hair and Karyna did our makeup. They both showed up to the hotel perfectly on time and both had great attitudes- fun and professional. Both were great consultants asking a lot of questions about what I wanted to look like and also advising if it was going to work or not. My bridal party consisted of beautiful ladies of all different ethnic backgrounds and all different shades of skin color. Karyna made us all look gorgeous! One of my bridesmaids was very concerned about how thin her hair is and if Alicia would be able to do anything to make it look big and beautiful and Alicia did her magic and her hair looked awesome. The airbrush makeup was so great- looked natural and felt light while providing enough coverage. We all looked amazing. I definitely recommend working with Beautiful Faces!
