edule and how everything should be set up. My wedding was at my family home, so there was a lot of set up was involved & a lot of minor details to pay attention to. She and her team did a great job of making sure everything was in place and moved throughout the night. I'm sure it involved more patience and attention to detail than you'd have at a regular venue, where there are employees to assist, so I think she did a really nice job handling our event. My father also mentioned that he really appreciated how thoughtful she was to him while setting up. She made sure to check with him on where trash, storage, etc should be placed & handled - as he is very particular about how the house and yard are kept. I was glad to have the schedule she made, as she wasnt too involved in that day of - but that's only because she had alot to set up for the event. But having the schedule on hand was great to keep everyone in line. And she made sure all vendors had the schedule well ahead of time so they were also all on time. When we ran into an issue with the florist, she made sure it got taken care of asap which made me very happy. Her assistants were very kind and answered any questions I had through the night, they also made sure the photographer was around to get good pics when she was elsewhere! I, like most of you reading this, starting researching on The Knot to get some recommendations and a feel of who we thought would be the best fit to assist in planning the biggest day of our lives. We read the amazing reviews of Jessica but I wanted a more personal look into her business so I added her on Instagram. Within hours Jessica, sent me the most beautiful DM, congratulating me on my engagement, encouraging me to bask in the engagement period and to enjoy the planning process. Never once did she solicit her services or promote herself. Needless to say after our initial consolation my husband and I knew that Jessica was definitely the wedding planner for us.
We selected the full service package and from the day we signed our contract in January, Jessica made sure to stay in constant communication with us when it came to recommending venues, vendors, and ready made sure to get a feel and understanding for our goal and vibe for the wedding. Our wedding was located Norfolk, Virginia but my husband and I do not live in the area. Planning a wedding across the country seemed to be a challenging task but with Jessica it feel seamless, just like we were there locally. Most if not all of our planning sessions and meetings with Jessica and the vendors were mostly on Zoom which worked for us since none of us were in the same state. She made sure to stay on top of all the vendors that we selected and to ensure that all of our needs, wants, and questions were met and answered. As a truly type A person - it was such a blessing to have someone else staying on top of all of the details, decisions, and follow up emails and calls that are necessary to make a wedding day happen!
The level of service and planning she provided throughout the year for our wedding on December 29, 2023 was unmatched. We had a rather large wedding (count 150) which means there were ALOT of moving parts. But she truly advocated for us every step of the way to make sure that the vision we had for our wedding came to life. She is also a fantastic person: she encourages, reassures, and truly has your best interest at heart. She is so great with helping alleviate and reduce all of the stresses associated with wedding planning. For us a wedding planner was a necessary and not an option and if I had to go through the process again, I would still pick Beautifully Divine Events. I can’t recommend her services enough, she’s amazing.

One of the things that impressed me the most about Jessica was how frequently she checked in with us. Even though we were working together long distance and relying on zoom calls, she made sure to schedule regular check-ins to go over all the details. This made me feel confident and at ease knowing that everything was on track.
Another aspect of working with Jessica that I appreciated was her monthly detailed checklist. This kept us on schedule and gave us a clear picture of what needed to be done each month leading up to the wedding. Her attention to detail and organization skills were evident in this checklist, and it made the planning process so much smoother and less stressful.
But the true testament to Jessica's talent and hard work was our wedding day itself. It was absolutely perfect. From the ceremony to the reception, every detail was perfectly executed. My family and friends are still talking about how amazing everything was and how much fun they had. Jessica and her team worked tirelessly the entire day to make sure that everything ran smoothly.
I am forever grateful to Jessica for making our wedding day a truly unforgettable and perfect experience. She truly went above and beyond and exceeded all of our expectations. ded by Jessica’s assistant, Hannah Jarriel, were abysmal.
I was lied to by the owner, Jessica Thompson, who stated an associate coordinator (Hannah) and 2 assistants would be there on my wedding day.
I found out only 1 assistant would be there on the wedding day, during my rehearsal, to which Hannah was 15 minutes late, causing an argument between myself, the bride, and my mother who was livid that the rehearsal was so poorly managed and behind schedule. Hannah had left the procession information at home and I had to dig it up in my emails.
On the day of, Hannah and her assistant did almost nothing productive. She couldn’t follow very direct and straightforward instructions on how to drape chiffon. I’d spent hundreds of dollars and dozens of hours making it easy to get excite and clear for anyone looking at the diagram. She claimed I didn’t have things because she didn’t bother to look through the inventory I brought. Moreover, the choices she did make looked TERRIBLE.
The wedding decor was only salvaged by the hard and diligent work of on site venue reps. As the bride, I was unbelievably upset she said that she could handle things when I offered to come in early the day of the wedding to go through things with her.
I am literally laying awake on my honeymoon, angry at how Beautifully Divine Events and Hannah Jarriel dropped the ball on my wedding. I am ashamed that I spent so much money on their awful services and would give that money over to the on site coordinator and her assistant, who had to cover for Hannah’s incompetence and lack of support. By the way, I never saw Hannah’s assistant, whose Venmo payment info she texted me, thinking I was her boss, not a client.
This is in addition the fact that Jessica sent us checklists a month late and was difficult to schedule time with, which caused a lot of unneeded stress on our side.
Oh! And Hannah rarely conducted follow up with vendors, even after stating she would do so. Thankfully I followed up myself instead of waiting a week to get an email saying “I forgot to contact them, omg, so sorry, what was I supposed to say to them!??”

We had planned on meeting with several planners before we decided but my wife and I both knew that our very first meeting sealed the deal and I stopped looking any further. I can assure all brides and grooms that your wedding is in the best hands when Jess is in your life. We never had to worry about a thing going wrong or anything that she did not take care of for us. She is professional, laid back, but confident... every quality you want in your wedding planner. She handled every hiccup with determination and never made us feel worried about anything. After all was said and done, she proved her talent when we walked into the most stunning wedding ceremony and reception that we ever could have imagined. Jessica was recommended to me. Leading up to the event, we had weekly phone calls to make sure that we had everything we needed and that we had a perfect master timeline. Jessica coordinated with the vendors leading up the event, ensured that we were on time with our schedule, made sure the guests were taken care of and happy, took care of us with food and drinks throughout the night, and took care of clean up and getting things together for us at the end of the night. sheets not being done on time, things not being filled out, decisions being made really late - with her having to coordinate with all of the vendors and make sure everyone was consistently on the same page, us not doing our part I'm sure made her job way harder than it should have been.
We didn't have 80% of the decorations assembled and regrettably alot of that fell on her. Hours before the wedding the centerpieces weren't done, the easels got there late, wedding favors weren't put together - none of these things are in her job description to do yet she did all of these things for us in a crunch and executed it perfectly. We had tall 20" vases as bases for our centerpieces and at the last minute the venue told us that because our wedding was outside, filled with water, they were a hazard due to the strong winds coming off of the ocean. Instead of letting us know it couldn't be done and leaving it to us to figure out, she and her assistant took them downstairs (from the 10th floor) in the thick of all of the guests arriving and filled them with sand from the beach. I can't express how much her doing something like that meant to us.
She went above and beyond what she was paid to do and I want to thank her a million times over. She single handedly made our day the best day and we sincerely appreciate it and her.

Jessica is such a sweet person and becomes a true friend during the process. She makes sure it's not stressful and will respond to any text, email, or call within 10 minutes! She really cares about her brides and will do anything to help. Even after the wedding she was chasing down last minute problems (such as getting a cake stand returned to the baker!). This being said, Jessica did an AMAZING job on my big day! From assembling flower crowns for my flower girls, to building greenery garlands, to handling minor emergencies in a timely and professional manner, Jessica helped my day flow beautifully while taking on the inevitable hiccups of such an operation in a way that made me able to enjoy my wedding without fretting so much about the details.
