Becca Bee Events

Some of the incidents that support my review: 1. Becca showed up 45 minutes later than scheduled on wedding day. 2. Becca's excuse for being late was that she went to pick up decorative lanterns that the caterer offered me (and offered for Becca to keep after). If Becca had read the Questionnaire that she asked me to complete, I clearly wrote that I did not want to use the lanterns. (Becca later angrily told me, while having my done, that my bridesmaids were "messing things up" because they started decorating before Becca arrived.) 3. Becca didn’t coordinate the cake cutting with vendors or me. She didn’t ensure I was even in the building before cuing the DJ to begin the Cake Cutting music. Instead, she looked for me after allowing the cake cutting music to start (music that was chosen for this moment) - I was outside visiting with guests. On top of the timing issue, Becca had never discussed with us the cake cutting instructions, making a chaotic situation even more stressful. ***4. Post wedding, Becca left my family heirloom silver cake knife and server sitting loose on the curb outside my venue overnight. Part of Becca's job was to coordinate the use of items like this. Her level of irresponsibility here is heartbreaking. I only found the silver on the road the next morning when my husband and I went to our venue's loading dock to take home some flowers. 5. Becca failed to coordinate my transition from cocktail hour to reception. At this time, I distinctly remember seeing her because I asked her if we could find a waiter to help me get more appetizers, and she shrugged and moved on. Just at that point, 3 bridesmaids grabbed me and said, "It's 7:25, we need to bustle your dress!" I am grateful I typed up timelines for the bridesmaids because Becca was not on top of this. 6. Becca was supposed to coordinate for me to have a loose rose with my bouquet for me to place on a chair in memory of my late grandfather as I walked down the aisle. The florist dutifully provided one. Instead of following my clear written request, Becca placed the rose on the chair in advance of the ceremony. I awkwardly ripped a rose from my bouquet as I walked down the aisle so I could honor my grandpa's memory as planned. 7. Becca gave poor and incomplete directions during the rehearsal. For example, my dad was very confused about his placement when we begin our walk because Becca had him switch sides. She also gave inverse directions for the groomsmen order. She did not correct my dad when he walked in front of me (instead of behind me) after walking me down the aisle. (Fortunately, our officiant's wife led the charge correcting everything and brought the wedding party up to speed.) 8. It was like pulling teeth to get Becca to help with my timeline. A week before the wedding, it came out that Becca simply forgot the need to include time for eating the salad, clearing the plates, and for vendor meals, so that was not included in the timeline. The schedule ended up getting pushed back by about 30 minutes, after vendors were confirmed and programs were printed. I was told by my bridesmaids, husband, father, GROOMSMEN, and even another VENDOR that Becca’s demeanor was unpleasant, and at times she was so absorbed with her phone that she appeared careless about what was going on around her (I personally wasn't aware of the phone issue until so many people told me about it later). My wedding party including the men are STILL talking about it.
