Bee Ridge Florist

We used Bee Ridge for our wedding on 1/7/17 and worked with Paula for our flowers. We also went through their All Events company for our rental equipment. Initially when working with Bee Ridge I was impressed but as time went on, it seemed more and more difficult. There were some math errors in my initial quote and signed contract that were not caught until weeks after signing and when I was contacted and asked to "check the math for them" I was less than pleased. Although we signed a contact for one number, they wanted us to pay the extra for their math error, although unfair I decided to meet them in the middle. Later on when adding more flowers to my order, I was unhappy to find out they wanted to charge me the initial higher amount again and did not want to abide by their agreement to meet me in the middle. After some talking they agreed to continue to honor it but I just felt the entire process was unprofessional and not pleasant. On the day before the wedding we went to preview the flowers and they were very nice. All of the bouquets and centerpieces were beautiful and only a few minor changes were requested. We also rented mason jars from them for the aisle bouquets and when they went to pick them up from the venue the day after, I was sent an email stating they could not find them and I would need to get them and bring them to their shop. When I got to the venue, I was told that the mason jars were there the whole time and must have just been overlooked by the florist when they were there earlier. Again, I was met with some rude comments about how "they were not anywhere to be found" when they were there earlier even though the venue told me they were. They did end up picking them up the next day but I feel as though I was met with too much negativity. All in all, the flowers were gorgeous but the customer service was less than amusing. I would recommend going elsewhere for your flowers to lessen the stress.

I used Bee Ridge Florist and was very pleased for my wedding. We chose a small amount of real flowers so I only had my bouquet and a stem for each of my bridesmaids as well as a large box of flower petals. I l loved everything and they were super nice to work with.

I was deeply disappointed in my florists at Bee Ridge Florist. First I had issues communicating with the people who worked there. Prices as well change every time you call. I have email documentation where delivery and no set up was to be an 85$ charge, when my fiance checked in on this it was then 55$ charge for delivery and set up. Then, 2 huge issues occurred the day of my wedding. First, the florist had called me at 10am saying they were deeply confused with my aisle flower arrangements now looking at the order (WHAT?!) and asked when I was picking up my centerpiece florals! I said I had paid and signed off for delivery and set up. They responded with yes, for aisle flowers, not wholesale centerpiece flowers. How does that even make sense? Also no communication that there was a difference! When I dropped off my mason jars for the aisle florals a girl had no idea who I was and took a sticky note with my name. I said are you sure there is nothing else you need from me? She said, no worries we'll be good. Cut to confused 10am phone call. Out on the aisles after they set up my aisle flowers. A few thin strings snapped and my coordinator ran in for wire and re wired them. Their idea of a bridal bouquet was saddening. I wish this website allowed picture uploading so you could see the image I chose and what I had received. I had a personal meeting where I sat with photographs and attachments via email where I had pictures and said this is what I want. She wrote down the flowers and said no problem, what I had received was underwhelming and unfit to be carried down the aisle. I dont know how to describe to you the beauty of a cascading rose arrangement of white and different shades of purple roses that I based my entire color scheme of the wedding around. What I received was a bunch of hydrangeas with random purple roses stuck in at random and were very thinned out. We called saying this is not what I ordered and you need to fix this bouquet. They later during my wedding left 7 missed calls on my (the brides) phone. The voicemail said, "I'm on my way, what am I bringing?" They replaced the same terrible arrangement on my sweetheart table in the middle of my ceremony. However, I was in luck where the rehearsal dinner by my mother in law a few nights prior had beautiful arrangements from another florist. We kept those arrangements from Thursday evening and used them around the venue Saturday. We ripped one of the arrangements out of its vase, wrapped the ribbon around the bottom stems and that is what I walked the aisle with. After phone calls and emailing the company of my issues I received a partial refund I would never recommend a bride to this florist.

The staff was nice until the finish line was in sight. Everything that was discussed in the initial meeting is not what we saw when we went in for the viewing. They do not give you the attention you deserve for the $$$ unless you use their rental and planning business as well. The flowers were great and looked pretty, but was not what was discussed.

They did a great job of taking my ideas and choosing flowers/arrangements that matched them. You can also rent event accessories from them, which we found extremely helpful.

This florist did a wonderful job with my wedding flowers! They also have an all event rental section within their business where they rent out everything from tents, tables, & chairs to the linens and buffet food pans with burners! They have it all and are extremely reasonable! The owner (Carl Wise) helped with the whole setting up of my wedding, I owe him a lot of thanks for everything he did for me! I would recommend them to everyone in sarasota, and will definitely plan on using them again in the future!!

First off, I loved the bridesmaids flowers. My bouquet however was not what I had explained in person, over the phone, or by email. They had the right colors, just not how I had imagined it to be. Groomsmen and mothers flowers were not what I had said either. I even sent pictures of what I wanted! I was upset with overall satisfaction. Flowers are not cheap!

Carl did an amazing job with all of the bouquets and boutonnieres for our wedding! My bouquet looked exactly how I had envisioned it. It was a military wedding and everything was so rushed and last minute but he got everything done on time and his prices were great! So easy to work with and extremely nice.

The price on my bouquet was very reasonable and I loved the arch used for our wedding day. The customer service could have been a little better. But the efficiency made up for it.

Great all in one company paired with All Event Rentals! Made my wedding beautiful!

After having a few friends tell me not to go with Bee Ridge Florist, I decided to go anyway because the prices beat every other place I went in Sarasota. They really listened to me when I met with them about what my vision was, and they sent me the proposal right away. The issues came when I made a few changes to the order. I had to add a corsage & a bouquet, and I had emailed several times and didn't hear back, I then had to call after 2 weeks of no word back, and they sent me an invoice, but it was completely wrong. It had items on there I didn't even order, and it didn't include the changes I requested... After a few phone calls I got it worked out and everything was perfect. On the day of the wedding every bouquet and every flower was perfect except for my cake topper... it was nothing like the pictures I had shown them, but they went back and fixed it immediately and it was BEAUTIFUL! I would definitely recommend them to anyone getting married in Sarasota. Just beware that communication can be an issue at times, but the end result is great!

Bee Ridge Florist is a GREAT place to get flowers for your wedding or for any occasion!!!! My husband and I got married two weeks ago and ordered our flowers through Bee Ridge Florist!!! My bouquet was absolutely beautiful along with all the flowers used on our wedding day!!! They exceeded my expectations!!!! The staff is very friendly and helpful!!! :)

My flowers were beautiful, and they were very helpful. However, when I went to look at my flowers the day before my wedding they had decided to change a few things (boutonniere flowers), and they added greenery when I asked them not to but they did change everything for me without a problem. We also rented all of our tables,chairs,linens, etc. from them and everything was in great shape!!

Bee Ridge Florists helped us plan our wedding in 5 short weeks! I had a general idea of what I liked and printed many pictures out to share with their wedding coordinator. He walked me through the each arrangement and shared his professional opinion with me on what would/ would not look good! The Saturday before the wedding we sat down and they showed me the final product. We decided to add more roses to each arrangement as well as my bouquet and they worked with me on the pricing. I was also able to rent our aisle runner and guest chairs for the ceremony from them. Talk about fast and convenient! We will continue to do business with Bee Ridge Florist!

Bee Ridge Flowers did a great job. I also used them for my rentals. Cheaper than other places for rentals.

I have to admit, I know very little about flowers, and had no idea how complicated it really was to put together wedding arrangements. I knew my theme, and I researched pictures of arrangments at other weddings that were similar to what I was looking for and brought that with me to my meeting. The people I worked with were so incrediably helpful and patient. I was floored. I even called them a couple weeks later to change my arragements a bit, and they didn't skip a beat. I can't say enough about them. It didn't surprise me in the least that the arrangements for our wedding were more beautiful and perfect than I could have imagined. They also helped with chairs, sashes, linens, even draping the arbor under which we were married. Thank you!!!

Carl at bee ridge is amazing! he also has a rental company which saved me about 20% from other companies....flowers were beautiful and the decorations were out of this world

The flowers by Bee Ridge Florist went above and beyond all of my expectations!! I am so in love with my flowers from my Wedding day and still cannot believe how amazing they were! The arrangements were exactly what I was hoping for and even better! My bouquet lasted for almost two weeks following the Wedding and I am still getting compliments on how beautiful the flowers were!
