Jenny managed our wedding plans flawlessly. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable throughout the wedding planning process. Our wedding turned out exactly how we imagined it would and I credit Jenny with being able to take our vision and turn it into a reality. Jenny relieved the stress that comes with planning a wedding with her amazing organization skills and great personality. We were able to enjoy the process and our big day and had a fantastic time. Our families will always be grateful for her kindness. I cannot say enough good things about her and I highly recommend Jenny!
Jenny’s Worry-Free Weekend package is what every bride AND family of the bride needs. Jenny brings an expert POV to the entire wedding planning process. While I may have been in charge of booking the major vendors, Jenny added the magic touches to make every detail shine. The pinspots on the cake that made it glow. The uplighting that made the reception space sparkle. The specialty linens that made the room come to life. Jenny works her magic in many different ways, both leading up to the wedding and on the day of. We all breathed a sigh of relief on wedding day knowing Jenny had helped us craft the perfect timeline to fit everything in, AND had communicated with our vendors to make it all happen. When you only plan a wedding once, these are the things you don't know how to do.
Most importantly, Jenny brings solutions to everything she does. Elderly grandparents can’t walk down the aisle? Jenny knows exactly how to stage the shot. Need a Q-tip to adjust your makeup? Jenny can offer you 2 different kinds in her emergency wedding day kit. Early on in the planning process, Jenny said she was known for her ability to keep to the timeline. I was amazed reviewing iPhone pics our guests had shared in which the timestamps proved she was exactly right. We loved working with Jenny for our wedding and we would absolutely hire her again!
Jenny is the absolutely hands down best decision we made the entire wedding. Not even joking—we still talk about how amazing she is six month later. She is THE BEST—organized, direct, kind, and truly cares. I was not stressed once the entire wedding day, because I knew I didn’t have to be. And it could not have been a more perfect day. My mom and bridal party got to have fun, my photographer and Jenny got me and my husband where we needed to be and when, and then Jenny took care of everything else. She deserves a million stars and is the reason my day was a dream!
Jenny is absolutely amazing!! I am not originally from St. Louis and my parents do not live here so this was like planning an out of town wedding for us. Jenny helped us along every step of the way. She was so accommodating and answered every question we had, which was a lot! She was so fabulous to have on the day of as well. People kept saying I was a very calm bride and I can 100 perfect say it was due to Jenny being there. She took care of everything from making sure vendors were on time, to fixing broken dresses and to everything in between. She is THE wedding planner you should hire in St. Louis, you will not regret it!
Wow. Just wow. TheKnot says I can only type 3,500 characters which is going to be difficult because I could go on and on and on about how much I love Jenny! Absolutely far and away, the best decision we made throughout wedding planning, was the decision to reach out to Before I Do.
We chose our wedding venue right after we got engaged, and before reaching out to Jenny. In her first e-mail (and before we even officially started working together) Jenny already began to share logistical suggestions that we hadn't even thought of. That was only the start of Jenny making sure every single detail of our wedding was thought out, and perfect.
While I am opinionated, it was very difficult for me to put my aesthetic vision into words... aka I'm sure pretty difficult to work with. However, Jenny somehow seemed to bring my vision to life. From the save the dates and invitations, to floral and decor, even the wedding cake- she made sure everything was personalized and EXACTLY what I wanted. She is creative, patient, and efficient-- and I left each meeting excited about yet another new, unique, and sentimental idea we came up with together (and when I say "We", it was Jenny pretty much every time).
Where Jenny REALLY shone, however, was her incredible organization. Throughout the entire year of planning (which was a bit complicated as I lived in Chicago), Jenny was always responsive and kept us on track. She made time in her schedule (and she has two adorable kiddos!) to meet with my fiance and I when we were in town. She was my go-to for every question --whether it was related to vendors/logistical items or personal wedding questions. I never felt stressed throughout the process because I always knew that Jenny had our best interest at heart and took such good care of us and our interests.
Then, came wedding weekend. I still to this day have no idea if there were any issues (and with all the vendors, a tricky location in Forest Park, etc.. I'm sure there were issues). Jenny made sure everything flowed perfectly. Both of us enjoyed every single second of the day.. and whenever we needed anything, we literally turned around and there was Jenny... already taking care of it. She was an absolute superhero.
Before we kicked off the planning process, my dad questioned if we needed a planner. My mom works in development and has planned large events for years. He was convinced we could handle it all on our own, and maybe only needed help day of. Now, looking back, he too agrees working with Jenny was the BEST decision we made. I am absolutely certain the wedding was our perfect fairytale day, with NO drama, 100% because of Jenny.
Finally, I have to rave a little bit about Jenny as a person. Since the wedding has ended, I honestly miss the planning a little bit. Not just because it ended up being more fun than I anticipated (and I may be the only bride to EVER say that), but because I truly enjoyed the chance to speak almost weekly with Jenny. She has become a friend and I'm now rushing my sister to get married so I have more excuses to hang out with her!
In conclusion, I've already recommended Jenny to all of our family friends.. so if you are reading this review, you better reach out fast. Jenny is THE best wedding planner and you are lucky if you get the chance to work with her. She really has a magic ability to make a wedding more than a beautiful party-- but a real life fairy tale day that you'll wish you could relive over and over again.
When my husband and I decided that we were going to get married out of state in St. Louis, we knew that we would need a great wedding planner. Jenny was everything that we could have asked for in a planner. She was with us every step of the way, from finding the vendors to wrapping up the wedding on the big day. She even went above and beyond to make sure that we were having a great time. There was one point at the reception when I was not feeling well and Jenny personally drove to our hotel and brought back my little white dress to change into. If she hadn't have offered to make that trip, I would have been uncomfortable all evening and would not have been able to enjoy the reception with my guests. There were also several guests who approached us later on in the evening and shared how smoothly they felt everything ran during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Jenny's organization ensured smooth transitions and relieved a great amount of stress for not only me, but also the other family members who were involved in the wedding.
It is for these reasons that I recommend BeforeIDo. I could not have asked for a better wedding planner!
Jenny made the months and weeks leading up to our wedding stress free - but she REALLY kicked into high gear on the day of, and everybody (especially my dad!) noticed! Fantastic! Jenny was very responsive, organized and professional throughout the planning process. She worked very well long distance with my daughter the bride, who lives out of town. The week of the wedding and the day of the wedding she was amazing. We were able to enjoy the entire weekend completely, because if there were any rough spots, Jenny smoothed them out and we never knew. I would really recommend you hire her for the whole planning process, not just the weekend of the wedding. Very worth the price.
I am a type A person by nature, and frankly had always assumed wedding planning would be a fun but extremely stressful experience for me and that my friends and family might hate me by the end. Since I live 2,000 miles away and have a full time job, I also knew a planner was a necessity. We were drawn to Jenny as opposed to other retailers because of the intimacy of the experience-- you're not going to get lost in the shuffle of other events-- and the warmth of her personality. She felt like a guest I would want at my wedding, which is important considering I spent as much time with her on my wedding weekend as with my maid of honor! I also respected that her pricing was scalable in accordance with a couple's wedding budget, suggesting again that the services she was offering were tailored to your event, and not part of a standard package.
Throughout the process, she kept the ship on course but never at the expense of listening to my opinions. She wasn't afraid sent me the occasional prodding email when I was taking too long, which was so appreciated! We spoke on the phone often, and she did a good job keeping me in the loop from afar. During my one in-town planning visit, she set up meetings to build out a thorough itinerary, making the process efficient but fun. When the weather forecast looked a little dicey the week of, she put together not two but THREE ceremony location options, remaining nimble but pragmatic.
I was particularly struck by my appreciation of Jenny when watching her lead my slightly sweaty, slightly surly wedding party through the rehearsal. It was 90 degrees, but she kept it succinct while remaining cheerful, remembering everyone's names, and helping us have fun. It could have been a pretty gruesome affair, but having not only a professional but the RIGHT professional made all the difference in the world.
Throughout the weekend, Jenny absorbed the problems and left me with only the joy, which my confidence in Jenny allowed me to relish. Little things happened, as little things always do, but I didn't know about a single one of them until after the wedding was over. All of this is to say that this girl with Bridezilla tenancies shocked herself and the world by being calm, collected, relaxed, and cheerful throughout the entire wedding planning process. Truly, really, I owe it all to Jenny Kehm and Before I Do.
Working with Before I Do was one of the best decisions I made while wedding planning. I really don't think I could have done it without them!
While our wedding was in St. Louis, we live in California, so planning remotely was quite challenging. Thankfully, I had Jenny on board to take away a lot of the "out of town" stress. Whenever I hit a roadblock or struggled to find the right local vendor, she would step in with a suggestion, an introduction, or even an "I've got this covered for you." She was also so in tune with my vision. I could call Jenny with some scattered idea, and she would turn it into something magical. Jenny also worked tirelessly to develop a timeline for our entire wedding weekend. She was organized down to the smallest details, which allowed all of us to relax while staying on schedule. More than anything, though, I appreciated Jenny's can-do attitude, sense of humor, and approachability. She is a gem!
We also contracted Indra, one of Before I Do's team members, as our day of coordinator. She was equally fabulous. Indra came to my parents' home two days before the wedding and loaded up all of our wedding supplies (and we had a lot!). She then seamlessly managed our rehearsal, set up our intricate decorations at the venue, and was a calm, quiet force guiding us through our big day. I'm sure there were hiccups on our wedding day, but I never heard about them because Indra handled it all!
I was definitely one of those brides who didn't think she needed a wedding planner or day of coordinator...but I am now one of those brides who recommends them to every bride I know! Thank you, Before I Do!
Jenny was absolutely wonderful! I was hesitant to believe that a wedding coordinator was worth the money but Jenny definitely was. We would have been lost at the ceremony without her. From where to hold your flowers to placement of the groomsmen's hands, she had every detail covered. If that all wasn't enough, she literally sewed me back together after an extra big hug from family ripped a strap off my dress! We would definitely work with Jenny if we could do it over again and would recommend her to anyone needing an incredible wedding coordinator.
JENNY KEHM OF BEFORE I DO BRIDAL WAS THE BEST CHOICE I MADE ABOUT WEDDING DAY - besides marrying my amazing husband :) I was the bride that had to be convinced she needed a wedding coordinator. I put on summer events for young people and tend to think I can accomplish anything (stubborn!!). By the time I hired Jenny I was about 5 months away from my wedding - and we only had a 6 month engagement. I chose her as a coordinator since I had secured most of the major stuff already. But boy was I glad I had Jenny around as the big day came closer! She turned my chaotic mess into a well organized wedding week that went off without ANY major issues...ANY. The little things that came up were handled in the most cool and calm way, and most importantly in a way that didn't take away any of the fun from me, Matt or either of our families! She and Casey of the Caramel Room worked magic together to make sure our vision was executed beautifully. I felt taken care of not only on my wedding day but throughout my entire wedding week and before. It was so refreshing to know that someone who has done this before was double and triple checking everything for me - reminding me what I needed to focus on - and making sure I had the best day ever! I could not recommend Jenny more highly - and really wish I would have chosen her from the beginning to plan the WHOLE thing! Besides being an amazing coordinator and planner - Jenny is simply a genuine and caring woman who radiates a joyful and calming energy you can't help but love.
I can't say enough about Jenny Kehm, Owner of "Before I Do". When my daughter got engaged, a dear friend recommended Jenny, who had assisted with her daughter's wedding. When I hired Jenny as my daughter's day of wedding coordinator, little did I know it would be the best thing I could have done. Jenny is extremely organized, efficient, personable and pays attention to every tiny detail. She made my day much more enjoyable because I did not have to worry about the wedding timeline and if everything was going according to the schedule. Jenny also managed our Rehearsal Dinner because our officiant had another wedding that evening. She could not have been more accommodating and professional and I would recommend her to anyone who is planning a wedding!!!

Jenny advised us early on in ways that saved us a ton of potential errors, negotiated lower prices in our vendor contracts, crafted unique budget-saving solutions, and kept us on track with timeline and details so that the experience was pretty stress-free.

I would not have survived the wedding planning process without Jenny! I live in Chicago, so I was nervous about how planning a St. Louis wedding would work. Jenny made it super easy and stress free. She knew my time in St. Louis was limited and did an awesome job of coordinating vendor appointments when I was in town. Jenny is very professional, knowledgeable, and has great relationships with vendors, so all the appointments went smoothly and we were able to be very efficient! In the days leading up to my wedding, Jenny put my mind at ease as we finished up all the final details. I get stressed easily, but I was able to relax and enjoy my beautiful wedding day because I knew that Jenny had all the details worked out- everything was perfect!
We used the 'worry-free weekend' service provided by Before I Do and it was a total lifesaver for our wedding!
Jenny made the process so seamless and more importantly, fun! She really took on the stress that comes with working out the details of a wedding. Jenny was such a big help in planning my wedding. She has a lot of experience planning weddings, so she always had an answer (or several options) whenever we had a question about how something should be done. It was very helpful to have someone to consult for those questions and to have someone who also had contacts with vendors that she knew were trustworthy. It was reassuring to know that she was helping with all the planning and we didn't have to be the ones to remember everything. She kept all the details straight and kept us organized and on schedule. The day of the wedding was relaxing and we didn't have to stress about all of the details and timeline, because we knew the planner was taking care of it. We also didn't have to do much setup or teardown, which made it easier on our families and wedding party. Overall, we were definitely glad that we used Jenny's assistance.
My husband and I hired Jenny to be our wedding planner because we had heard from friends that she was the best. She was nothing short of it for our wedding as well! She was timely, dependable, positive and professional. She took care of all the little details so that we didn't have to, and we enjoyed our wedding day tremendously. I highly recommend "Before I Do" to any St. Louis bride to be! My husband even pointed out that perhaps the most valuable part of her services for us getting the "worry free weekend package" was the day of the wedding. She was there from start to finish, whereas our Venue's coordinator was only on-site for a short time (which is probably typical). Having Jenny there allowed us and our families to focus solely on enjoying the wedding without need to worry about anything else.

I was the Mother-of-the-Bride for two weddings within eight months of each other. Even with experience in large event planning, I knew I could not plan two weddings without someone who knew the St Louis wedding industry. Jenny was that person. Her knowledge and experience with venues, catering companies, bakers, florists, photographers, entertainment and rental companies, saved us both time and especially money. We also went into each wedding knowing that the vendors with whom we had contracted were reputable, completely aware of our vision and would be there on wedding day(s)!
Every vendor we used just raved about their experiences working with Before I Do! THAT is one of the best indicators of a wedding planner's performance. The various service managers have definite opinions about the planners they encounter. As a result of Jenny's great relationships and reputation within the industry, we were able to arrange for special touches, save money and truly have a very personal event in very public venues.
My daughters are polar opposites in their approach to, style of and vision for their weddings. Jenny easily transitioned from one to the other and made each one her total focus. She also is such a pro at Mother-of-the-Bride care and counseling! I only half-jokingly say that Jenny was the reason that we all arrived on Wedding Day with NO tension!
If you are a Mother-of-the-Bride (to-be) or a Bride-to-Be you owe it to yourself to at least meet with an experienced wedding planner to better understand the services they can provide to you. In my opinion, Jenny Kehm is the best person and company for that job. I absolutely know the benefits outweighed the cost!

Jenny was beyond what I had expected in a wedding planner. Being an out of town bride and a bride that worked an 80 hour work week, my time was important. She had excellent connections in the community. She also worked diligently to set up appointments and itinerarys for hair, makeup, cake tasting, floral and the like. She helped to enhance my vision of the wedding by helping me with critical decisions yet was flexible. For example I had not committed to a linen choice and she was able to change this at the last minute. Our wedding number originally started out at 120 but grew to 170 and she was able to accommodate this without hesitation. Both me and my husband felt like we were well taken care of during the evening as well. While there was one major hick up on our day (the transport from the hotel to our wedding venue left late and we were unable to take family pictures beforehand) it was a last minute change made due to inclimate weather. I haven't seen our pictures yet but I can't imagine it had a huge impact.... Just that our guests waited a little longer. Overall she was very thorough and has the creative ability to really enhance your vision. Both me and my hubs were thrilled with her services! She kept me (kind of) sane through the whole process! I would highly recommend her without any hesitation.
Jenny was an absolute dream to work with! I honestly don't know how we would have made it through (and enjoyed!) the final days leading up to the wedding and the day itself without Jenny. She kept us focused and took on so much of the logistics and coordination with our vendors, it allowed me and my mom breathing room.
The wedding day was absolutely magical and that really had to do with Jenny being there to manage the day so that I could step back and just enjoy every minute.
Interestingly enough, my mom and I weren't planning on hiring a planner, so we contracted Jenny about 4-5 months before the wedding to be a day of planner - but she went so far above and beyond just day of. Honestly, best decision we made was to hire Jenny! Can't thank her enough!
We hired Jenny Kehm to help with planning both of our daughters weddings which were 7 months apart. (November 2014 and June 2015). We could not have done it without her. Both weddings were flawless!! She helped make each wedding very unique. Jenny is organized and detail oriented. She took away all the stress that comes with planning a wedding. We all had a great time at both weddings because we knew Jenny was there to handle any mishaps. But there weren't any because everything was so carefully planned out. She handles every detail even to putting wedding gifts in the car or hotel room. Jenny is a pleasure and delight to work with! I will tell anyone and everyone if you are planning a wedding to give Jenny a call !!
When planning my wedding, my mom and I were very hesitant to book a coordinator. We knew we wanted someone to help with the logistics on the big day, but we are both very detail-oriented control freaks so we weren't sure if we'd be able to "mesh" with a third party.
Long story short...Jenny Kehm's services were the best money we spent the whole wedding. She basically took the helm in the last stressful weeks of planning and created a minute-by-minute schedule for the wedding party and the vendors. She was there to help us plan the setup of the church and reception space and kept detailed lists of who supplied what items for each part of the day.
On our wedding day, Jenny was the backbone of EVERYTHING. The second before you could think the words "I need..." she was already there what wither you needed in hand. She thought of things we never even would have anticipated (especially sending the groom and I off with leftover cake!) Throughout the night, she collected momentos and keepsakes which I'm so thankful for now!
Jenny was easygoing and calm and I could not be happier to have worked with her. She made the night one we could truly relax and enjoy completely stress free.

Choosing Jenny as our wedding planner was the best decision my husband and I made during the wedding planning process. My husband and I live in Chicago but are from St Louis. We knew having a planner would help with the distance planning, but we were beyond impressed with how much Jenny did for us. I did not know where to begin with planning and Jenny was an expert with the best vendors, and she could not have been more patient, organized, nice, and creative during the process. I would bring dozens of pictures to a meeting, and she would understand immediately what I wanted even if I couldn’t voice it. When the big day came, everything was perfect which was all thanks to Jenny. Do not pass up the opportunity to work with her!

I highly recommend Jenny and Before I Do. She was approachable, honest, professional, and had the true gift of being able to relate to my daughter and to me. We hired Jenny for the day of the wedding, but whenever I had a question or a concern, she was right there. Jenny allowed me the ability to really be present for one of the most important days of my daughter's life, and quite frankly, my life, too. Jenny Kehm was an exceptional wedding planner. She put so much energy and love in everything she did for us and high recommend her to anyone who might be deciding. She made the process of planning easy and was truly a Godsend the weekend of the actual wedding. It was the happiest day of our daughters life and Jenny had a lot to do with that!
We hired Before I Do to help us with the weekend coordination for our daughter's recent wedding. We received a significant commitment of time and effort beyond our expectations.
Our coordinator, Jenny Kehm, had a wonderful working relationship with the other vendors and dealt professionally with them all while explicitly expressing our needs and expectations to them as well. She scheduled, attended and led numerous group vendor meetings in advance of the wedding weekend and was on site, tirelessly coordinating every detail for the entire wedding weekend.
We would happily allow Jenny Kehm to share our contact information with future clients since we had such a wonderful experience from start to finish with Before I Do! Although Jenny's business is wedding oriented, I will keep her in my database for any other large event that I may need a coordinator for in the future!
I did not share the cost of our contract with Jenny in this review because I hope Jenny will raises her prices in the future...she is well worth her weight in gold!
I do not know what we would have done without Jenny! I am so, so thankful for her. She is extremely competent, smart, knows all the vendors and is a true professional. She made all the right game time decisions when we were stressed at game time. One great thing about her is that for our purposes, we just wanted someone who would help us make our dream wedding come true, not someone to push their styling ideas. She did this in such a thoughtful way. I can't imagine there is possibly a better wedding planner than Jenny in STL. I can't say enough great things! Thank you, Jenny!
Jenny helped us with so many things on our wedding weekend and was able to think of things that we didn't even know we needed her for! My now husband and I live in NYC but knew we wanted to get married at the City Museum in St. Louis. Since we were planning the wedding from a far we thought having a planner would be best and we couldn't have been happier with our choice!
Jenny was amazing from start to finish. She is super familiar with all of the vendors and was even able to get us some discounts. She also was super helpful in answering any and all questions I had even when I sent her a million emails a day :). She also had some super cute and creative suggestions that I never would have thought of that made our wedding unique and fun!
On the day of the wedding she was the first person we saw and the last person to see us off. She made sure everything went smoothly and the big day went off without a hitch!
All in all Jenny is the best. And we only came out to St. Louis twice before the wedding and she was amazing at coordinating from a far. 5 stars! Everyone use Before I Do!! :)
Before I Do, the wedding planning service started by Jenny Kehm, was the best part of my entire wedding planning process. Jenny has relationships with many of the vendors in St. Louis and is able to get great rates for her brides. But most importantly, Jenny really cares. She was always there for me when the process got stressful, calming me down and getting me excited again about the big day. She has great ideas, but she is not overbearing or too opinionated. She always lets the bride make the ultimate decision. I can't imagine what it would have been like to plan my wedding without Jenny by my side. She is there the day of the wedding to make sure everything runs smoothly so that the Bride (and family) can just enjoy the big day. Jenny is simply the best.
I've always been a planner and looked forward to planning my own wedding, but when the time came, I realized I'd never done this before. I wasn't sure where to start and knew I'd have challenges with living out of state from the St. Louis area where we planned to wed. I knew with over 150 out of state family members, I wanted my focus the week of the wedding to be on spending time with our family, not logistical details. From the first meeting with Jenny, I knew she was the right choice. She is polished, professional, grounded, organized, warm and personable. Looking back, it's as though I had a close friend for the year I could call with any questions, who was happy and excited to help. Jenny never pushed her opinions, simply shared different options and stories from her experience to help guide us on our decisions. I'd heard from many friends on the day of it wasn't a matter of if something would not go as planned, but when. My day was no exception, but Jenny made all the difference in the world. Anything that came up was solved before I knew about it with poise. I would recommend Jenny Kehm to any bride, as her guidance is a way to experience your planning with joy and excitement rather than stress and overwhelm.

I never thought I'd be the type to need a wedding planner. I wasn't exactly planning a budget wedding, but definitely wouldn't be featured on a TLC show, either! But grad school, work, and an impending cross-country move got the best of me, so the first thing I did before even setting a date was meet with wedding planners.
Jenny made everything easy. My husband and I had busy, conflicting schedules. If I had a week coming up when I knew I'd have more free time than usual, she moved mountains to schedule vendor meetings so we could get a big chunk of the planning done at once. I never felt pressured or stressed out about getting things done because she worked so efficiently.
The day of the wedding could not have been smoother, either. Well, I say that. As with every event, there were lots of last-minute hiccups (we had a few guests send their regrets... and then show up anyway). Jenny made sure my husband and I knew about these things, but only so she knew how we wanted her to handle it. She did so with aplomb. There are a lot of bridges that can easily be burned when planning a wedding, and having a planner who knows how to effectively manage your family members and wedding party saves you a lot of mental anguish!
I'd recommend any of the vendors Jenny set us up with during the planning process, but most of all I'd recommend Before I Do to tie it all together.
Having Jenny plan our wedding made the entire process so much more enjoyable and less stressful than I'm certain it would have been if we did it ourselves. She helped us the whole way from selecting the venue to putting us in the car at the end of the wedding night. She had great ideas and suggestions, but she always let us choose what we wanted for our special day. She also helped us stay within our budget while still getting all the features we said were priorities. I would absolutely recommend Jenny and Before I Do to help you plan your wedding!
Jenny did an absolutely AMAZING job. It was such a relief to know someone else was keeping track of all the vendors, contracts, payments, and decisions! She was always helpful, and anytime I was feeling overwhelmed she knew exactly how to make me stay calm. It also helped having someone know how much money things should cost, and kept my fiancee (now husband!) and I within our budget. I cannot imagine anyone planning a wedding without a coordinator. The day of I didn't have to worry about ANYTHING and when things weren't running smoothly I was blissfully unaware, and only heard about it after the day.
Our family had two weddings in two years, for two strong minded daughters, each with her own vision of her important event. Before I Do was such an integral part of my wedding planning process. I fully believe my wedding turned out as beautiful as I had ever hoped because of Before I Do. I would recommend to even my closest friends.
We used Jenny for our wedding this past May. We hired her about 5 months prior to the wedding, to help us with the details and the wedding weekend. From start to finish, she was organized, structured, timely, but also very sympathetic and understanding of what we wanted, while keeping our budget in mind at all times. She attended all our vendor meetings with us, set up the meetings, and then helped us make a decision and how it would impact the overall budget/vision. On the day of the wedding, if there were ANY problems, I NEVER knew anything was wrong and I think that's the best compliment you can give a wedding planner. I have heard horror stories from friends that by the time the wedding came they wanted nothing to do with their wedding planner, or they were so unorganized. She kept us all calm and relaxed, and we had an amazing day!
Before I Do was our Day-Of Coordinator, and we were thrilled to have Jenny and her team on our big day! We didn't have to worry about anything during our wedding with BID behind the scenes taking care of our scheduled (and unexpected!) events. Jenny was on-call for any last minute questions or concerns from me in the final weeks too, which was especially appreciated.
From many (many, many) broken champagne glasses to wedding crashers, she handled the day with grace... most importantly not letting me (the bride) hear about any of it (heard through the grapevine in the weeks that followed). We had a tough venue that required an abnormally high amount of coordination as well. Before I Do took a huge weight off of my (and my family's) shoulders in ensuring our day ran smoothly.
We could not have had our wedding without Jenny! She was incredibly helpful, fun, friendly and professional. She has a huge wealth of knowledge and experience. I loved all the major vendors she suggested such as the florist, photographer, and stationary. She always readily responded to emails and phone calls. We were so happy with how everything turned out with our wedding and it would have not been possible without her. Would highly highly recommend!
I consider myself a fairly organized person; however wedding planning wasn't something I had any experience with. I decided to hire a wedding planner just to make sure I wasn't missing any details, and to keep me from spending my wedding day worried about vendors and making sure everyone knew where to be. I contacted a couple planners and decided to go with Before I Do based on our first meeting. Jenny was very professional and knowledgeable and we hit it off right away. I opted for the Worry-Free Weekend package expecting that it would just consist of someone to run the rehearsal and take phone calls from vendors the day of. Boy was I wrong! To my surprise Jenny was with me every step of the way. I had an issue with my catering company about 5 or 6 months before the wedding. I was so disappointed with them that I thought I was going to have to find a new caterer. I asked Jenny for advice about my problem and she stepped into action. She attended our tasting even though that was not a part of our package, and assured me that she would keep a close watch over them to make sure nothing else when wrong. That is just one example of how she put my mind at ease.
As for the day of the wedding... it was perfect. My bridesmaids told me that they hadn't ever been a part of a wedding that went as smoothly as ours. Thanks to Jenny's attention to detail and her willingness to plan well in advance I had a better day than I could have imagined. It is obvious that she loves what she does and has the brides best interest in mind at all times.
When I began wedding planning I debated whether I needed a wedding planner. But as I became overwhelmed with the fact that I worked full time while my fiance worked full time and went to school and all of my family and bridesmaids were out of town, I realized how nice it would be to have a wedding coordinator to help me. It was truly the best decision I made in the wedding planning process! From the moment I met with Jenny to discuss what type of wedding planning assistance I would need I knew she would help make everything work out the way I envisioned. Jenny attended every appointment, returned every call, and every panicked text with a positive and professional attitude. She gave me suggestions that could only come from someone with a multitude of experience in the wedding industry but also supported me with my wild ideas and helped make my ideas even better. Jenny made the greatest suggestions of vendors which my new husband and I couldn't have been more pleased with! The day of Jenny took all of the stress off my shoulders. She answered the unending questions from my family happily and even hunted down lost bridesmaid jewelry without me even knowing it was missing! I honestly could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day and I am so thankful Jenny was a part of it. If I have one bit of advice for my newly engaged friends... hire Before I Do!
Jenny made our planning process so stress free and helped us think of details that would have been overlooked! We started planning without a wedding planner and when we got overwhelmed with details we hired Jenny. From the moment she started planning, we were so relaxed! I trusted her with turning my vision into a reality. She took care of everything from communicating with our vendors to making a day-of timeline for all of my bridesmaids. On the actual wedding day, it went perfectly! She organized food for all of our wedding party to eat when getting ready, made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be, and most importantly, she made sure my husband and I were not worrying about one detail. My parents were actully able to enjoy the whole day and dance the night away. She even dealt with all of my last minute changes (there were a lot). The whole day was more than I ever could have imagined and if I have one tip for brides it would be to hire Before I Do!!
