Where do I even begin... Behind the Bash is the best of the best when it comes to catering. The food is absolutely amazing. We got SO many compliments at our wedding raving about the food. Their service is next level as well. The staff is amazing. They are so attentive. Ashley walked me through the process of choosing our menu and linen selections, etc. She is amazing. I love her! Jen (owner) came from an interior designing background so you already know their details (plates, glassware, silverware, linens, even decorations around the food) are so pretty. You really can't go wrong with choosing Behind the Bash.

Where to begin! Behind the Bash was absolutely incredible to work with and went above and beyond to help us have a successful wedding day. Ashley, Jennifer, and the team accommodated our special requests and dietary restrictions with ease and were always quick to respond and easy to communicate with during planning. When our venue lost power on the day of our event, BTB was able to use their own generators to still produce an amazing meal that received many compliments from our guests. They even had the foresight to have our late night snack brought to our venue in time to hand out as guests were leaving (we had to leave the venue early due to the power outage, so guests got a Whataburger honey butter chicken biscuit on their way out the door!) Delicious wedding food for a large group is impressive enough without a power outage and we are so thankful for everything BTB did to keep our day running as smoothly as possible despite a setback that was out of their control!

5 stars isn’t enough to describe the experience we had with Behind the Bash.. From start to finish the service was impeccable. First you’ll get a tasting. The service at the tasting was better than the food and the food is why we selected them. Our tasting was during the week and during the tasting they invited us to their big tastings that happen on Sundays.. Overall great experience. Everyone knows communication is one of the most important things during the wedding planning process, Behind the Bash should be considered the standard in this area. Ashley Ducote and Jennifer Trevino were on top of everything. They were so amazing, friendly, and made this process effortless. On the wedding day they set up a kitchen outside and the food came out hot and delicious. Our wedding was Black Tie themed, Behind the Bash is Black Tie quality. If you need catering and want a fine dining experience, go with Behind the Bash.

Using Behind the Bash was the best, and easiest part of my wedding planning! Working with Behind the Bash was fun, warm, professional, and it honestly felt like we were talking to friends the entire time. The communication was fast (replies to emails quickly), easy, and I even was sent a cute gift after joking around about something! They listen to you, hear you, and really care about not only the insane quality of their food, but your overall experience. Our first tasting was mind-blowing. They pulled out all the stops to make sure this special moment had everything that we needed. They sat down with us, in order to get to know us, which felt so natural. This made picking out of food for our wedding, cocktail hour etc., that much more exciting as we really got to know the company. We had so many delicious options that it was hard to pick! So to have someone sit down, help you both decide, and follow your lead was something we noticed off the back. I have been to a million weddings (ha), and the food is usually good, subpar, or in rare occasions great! Well our food was amazing. We had so many family, friends, etc., reach out to us after our wedding to rave about the food that Behind the Bash provided. From the appetizers, to the entrees, to the Whataburger after party snacks, and our boozy coffee bar we were floored. We still talk about how we actually ate at our wedding, despite the normal adrenaline of your wedding day. Do yourself a favor and use Behind the Bash Artisan Catering. I will continue to sing their praises to anyone who will listen.

Behind the Bash is an absolute joy and pleasure to work with. Always quick to respond to an email and so friendly. Ashley and Jennifer are the best team and made our special day come to life. Behind the Bash exceeded my expectations, I always thought wedding food had to be nasty or just mediocre because they had to serve so many guests, but not my wedding! Everybody went on and on about how good the food was at my wedding. I wish I could go back just so I could try out the food. Ashley and Jennifer were amazing in helping me with my wedding, if there was any concern or changes I wanted to make they were right there to help me. From the moment I saw their presentation and how they serve their clients I knew I wanted them no matter the cost. They are definitely one of the best caterers in Houston, they provide a wide array of food, that is actually good, and their servers are beyond amazing. I definitely will be recommending them to everyone I know!

Jennifer, Ashley and their whole team are sensational! Starting with our tasting experience. Everything was serviced and displayed the way our guests would see it, the food was perfection which made it so hard to narrow down. They worked with us on our budget and we had so many compliments the day of our wedding and after! They are the best!

We used BTB for our wedding on 12/10/22 and LOVED our experience! The food was by far the best food I have ever had at a wedding, money well spent to say the least. I cannot express how pleased we were with Behind the Bash! From the moment we met the owners we knew they took great pride in their business as evidenced by their beautiful warehouse set up that they graciously showed us. At our wedding the food was incredible and so fresh. From appetizers to dinner it was awesome! We had a large wedding and everything was outstanding. The servers were friendly and attentive! I celebrated a milestone surprise birthday party for my spouse and was feeling very overwhelmed while working with another catering company. My event planner recommended Behind the Bash. I was not disappointed. Behind the Bash made the experience enjoyable and stress free and at a much more reasonable price. Their website makes it very easy to select items with complete price transparency. They also had several additional amenities inclusive in their service. Ashley was a joy to work with. She was very responsive and helpful in putting together a menu and arranged a tasting on a very short notice. At the tasting I met Jennifer who is the owner and both very helpful and thoughtful in their recommendations for the menu (especially since I had several dietary restrictions). The event was executed flawlessly. We had a wonderful time and our guests commented on how delicious the food was. Jennifer was present throughout the event and stayed until the event was finished. It is apparent that she takes great pride in her company and service. This was a wonderful experience, and we will definitely reach out to Behind the Bash for our next catered event. Our catering could not have been any more creative, delicious and packed with love in every bite! This company operates as a family and loves what they do! We highly recommend. EVERYONE raved about our meal!

Jennifer, Ashley, and the team exceeded all our expectations and we kept hearing from our guests how much they loved the food - from the steak being perfect and the saffron salmon being the best combination. The Behind the bash team even plated each plate beautifully. Leading up to the day, we met with Jennifer twice - first meeting, she treated my family and I with such love and answered all our questions while we were sampling. During the second meeting, she walked us through the final details as well as arranged for us to sample the variations of salmon for us to pick. We can't express our appreciation and thanks enough for the Behind the Bash team for a beautiful wedding reception as well as for accommodating us on short notice- as we both had to travel for the meetings.

TamaRal S. I recently got married. BTB was our caterer for our wedding and they were AMAZING! From top to bottom, they knocked it out of the park. Prior to the wedding, BTB gave us a WHOLE EXPERIENCE for our tasting. From the ambience, to the kind and attentive staff. Did I forget to mention the roughly 20 plus course meal that was provided that made it way more difficult to choose an option since EVERYTHING was delicious. The owner herself waited on us and explained everything we were eating. She is completely hands-on. Leading up to the wedding BTB would just check-in to ensure that I was okay. I appreciated that. BTB (Jennifer and Ashley) made my life easier. The day of the wedding BTB provided excellent service from cocktail hour on through dinner. My guest and I were so pleased. After the wedding BTB continued the excellent service by checking in on us. Who does that?? They do! I am transparently sad that I am currently having no event that I could hire them for, but you can rest assure that when I do have an event, they will be the ONLY caterer on my list. Love them One happy customer!

After all these months after our wedding, our guests are still taking about how great the food was and the great customer service they received during the cocktail hour and the reception from BTB. We agree with them that Behind the Bash was absolutely perfect and the best caterer for our wedding. Jennifer and the entire staff were just AMAZING. Hiring Jennifer and the whole BTB team for my December 2021 wedding was one of the BEST things my husband and I could've done! I did some really extensive research on our venue's (Briscoe Manor) preferred caterers and BTB just stood out. My parents accompanied us to the tasting and as a bonus to the incredible food, Jennifer's hospitality was the icing on the cake. Quality ingredients and incredibly tasty dishes is why all of our guests were raving about the food! Some even said it was the best wedding food they have ever had. And of course I couldn't agree more. I'd like to also mention that we had quiet a few guests that had food allergies/restrictions that the BTB team catered to perfectly. So if you're still deciding on BTB, don't hesitate! I promise they're worth every penny! (Side note: Our absolutely spectacularly beautiful day-of coordinator, ASHLEY from Briscoe Manor is now a part of the Behind the Bash team and I swear that SHE alone is worth it!)

We hired Behind the Bash and Jennifer for our daughter's wedding and they were FANTASTIC! We were looking at another well known caterer (which I think is good also by the way), but I think you can't go wrong with Behind the Bash and Jennifer. The food was great. They were easy to work with. They were good at making suggestions and alternatives. I would highly recommend.

I can not recommend Behind the Bash enough! I recently got married and we hired BTB to cater our event and we are so happy we did. Every step of the way, their attention to detail, 5-star service and staff, and top quality ingredients, BTB went above and beyond to make everything perfect. A few months prior to the wedding, we were invited to a tasting where we got to taste numerous starters, salads, entrees, sides, and dessert options to choose from so you knew what you were getting and everything was incredible! BTB was very accommodating throughout the planning process and worked to make our wedding the way you wanted it. Day of, BTB set up, served appetizers during cocktail hour and full buffet dinner, and provide top quality service to myself and my guests. I have nothing but great things to say about BTB and I would recommend them 100%!

Jennifer and her staff at Behind the Bash did an amazing job for my son’s wedding. I am very particular when it comes to food, and BTB hit it out of the park! The food was hot, delicious, and served timely and the presentation of the food was impeccable. The service staff were great and made sure all our needs were met throughout the night. Jennifer worked diligently with us to ensure that all the details regarding the food were perfect. The cucumber salad dressing cup was an amazing touch for our plated salad. The filet mignon and chicken entrée was a piece of art on the plate (and tasted incredible too!). So many of our guests told us that it was the best food they ever had at a wedding! I gave my husband a surprise birthday party and was stressing out until I spoke with Ashley, who answered all my questions and was able to provide all the vendors I wanted. She provided me with great suggestions, relieved my stress and everything was great. I moved here from another state and was not familiar with some of the food choices here and that's where Jennifer came in and helped me select a very delicious menu. We had such a fantastic time and people told me how much fun they had and how much they enjoyed the good food. A job done very well ladies!!!!! Thank you so much. “Best wedding food ever!” Was the comment made by many of the guest at our daughters wedding in September. Jennifer and her staff are top-notch! Their service was flawless. You hardly knew they were there. (In a good way) we had stations and the Mac n cheese in a mason jar was phenomenal. The crawfish jambalaya got a thumbs up from our Louisiana guests and the bacon wrapped chicken was delicious. The staff also prepared boozy milkshakes served in mini old fashioned milk bottles for a late night treat loved by everyone. And then ordered, packaged and put a personalized sticker on the whattaburger honey butter chicken biscuit for everyone to take for the ride home. It was a perfect evening and Behind the Bash was a big part of making that happen. I would recommend Jennifer and her crew for any event that you need catered.

Behind the Bash was one of my favorite vendors at my wedding in May. Not only was the food absolutely incredible (people still make comments about it to this day), but Jennifer was wonderful to work with. Although the food is pricey (once again, it’s so yummy, it’s worth it!), Jennifer was incredibly accommodating in providing everything we needed (linens, glassware, etc.) and the best protocols for a wedding during covid times to make it as stress free as possible. I would recommend Behind the Bash to anyone and everyone getting married. They were incredible!

with BTB being under new management, they have REALLY stepped up their game. From working with weddings over the past few years and then planning my own they were the only choice I had in mind. Food was WONDERFUL. EVERYONE LOVED IT. staff were so nice and accommodating to everything. Their tasting alone blew all of my family away and it was a clear choice. The food was one of the best part of our wedding and I cannot thank BTB enough.

Where to start... Our food was AMAZING and the service was even BETTER!!! Hands down 100% recommend to anyone. We were totally impressed. All our guest said the food was the best they'd had a wedding. I can't say enough great things about Behind the Bash!

If I ever need anything catered ever for as long as I live in and around Houston, I will be calling Jennifer. Every bite was a new little celebration in my mouth. The care given to the presentation and the perfect balance of flavors far surpassed my wildest expectations. It was so good, I was half-ready to send everyone home and just have some private time with me and my plate. AND she made it all happen on February 20, 2021 despite the historic winter storm that took out power and water across the state for almost the entire week before the event. She and her team worked so hard to make my wedding perfect and they 100% delivered everything I could have hoped for and more. I couldn't be happier (unless she gives me the recipe for that roasted corn and poblano risotto!) and would absolutely recommend her to anyone for any event.

Behind the Bash did a wonderful job with our wedding. The food tasted great and looked wonderful. They were very helpful and accommodating when we made last minute changes because of the COVID situation. They really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our choices and make sure things looked the best they could (in addition to tasting great!). They really helped the reception run smoothly. I loved that they sent us home with to go meals and took care of the cutting, plating and packing up the cake!

Rachel and her team truly knocked our wedding out of the park! The food was wonderful, including the fruit and veggie plate that we added, and all of our guests complimented their work! They were especially accommodating with my guests that had dietary restrictions. I cannot recommend them enough!

We loved everything about Behind the Bash for our daughter's wedding. They were so flexible and accommodating, and everything was delicious. They have so many catering choices available, and each and every item we tasted was fantastic. It made it hard to choose, but what a good problem to have! They catered both the rehearsal dinner and the reception, and both were fabulous. They were so patient and thorough in addressing all our questions and they satisfied every need. The Filet, Chicken Briscoe, Truffle Mac N Cheese, roasted potatoes, seasonal veggies and Greek salad were just outstanding. All of our guests commented on how good the food was. They organized the buffet so all 160 people were served within 20 minutes. Behind the Bash was VERY easy to communicate with, worked within our budget and went above and beyond to make our daughter's wedding day special! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM, WITHOUT RESERVATION!!!

Rachel and Jennifer at Behind the Bash were unbelievable. Interestingly enough, it just started "okay" because we went to a large tasting out in Richmond, but they didn't have a lot of the stuff we had wanted to try. From there, WOW - Jennifer met me at somewhere on multiple occasions to give me samples of what we'd wanted. By "sample", I mean multiple chicken breasts or a whole tray of appetizers, not just one or two bites. Rachel was phenomenal to work with, not only with the specific food we wanted, but helping us keep it within our budget. On the big day, BTB came early and stayed late, and their staff went almost unnoticed by anyone (they were that good). I can't rave enough about the food - all of our guests had full, happy stomachs. I usually find wedding food to be pretty "meh", but I could've eaten everything they had for weeks. Tip: the bacon wrapped shrimp, the Chicken Briscoe, and the truffle mac and cheese are not to be missed. 5 stars all across the board.

I hired Behind the Bash for my wedding and could not have been more pleased! The food is amazing and the service was top notch! My guests couldn't get over how great my "wedding food" was. Seriously best "wedding food" I've ever had. :)

I got married at Briscoe Manor on 12/07/18. Rachel Plunkett is so amazing and so sweet. She helped us customize our dream menu for our wedding. She even went over some napkin designs to make everything look more elegant. Everyone LOVED the food and was so impressed with everything. Behind the Bash is top notch and I highly recommend them! The pecan crusted chicken and south west egg rolls are to die for!

Our wedding was at Briscoe Manor so Behind the Bash was the cater in house we were told to use. I was relieved that it was one less vendor I needed to search for. Rachel and her team were so fantastic and gave me the reception of my dreams. I had a fun outdoor cocktail hour with a bar and passed appetizers (which it was so hard to narrow down because all of the food is to die for) The chicken & waffles were so fun and everyone loved them, along with bacon wrapped shrimp and southwest egg rolls. Then we went in and had a sit down lunch with salad and the best stuffed chicken and pecan crusted fish you ever had. Her team made everything so perfect. She worked with me on every little detail that I wanted. Even if it was not something they typically did, she was willing to work with us if I was willing to work on the front end. Which I LOVE!! The bar and drink service was so smooth and everyone was so well taken care of. They sliced our cake and made sure everyone had good pieces of wedding and grooms cake. We also had kids at our wedding and everyone told me that they were served first and quickly, like it had some how just appeared. I was so grateful for that small detail being take care of. They were so careful about any allergies and special accommodations for our guests including nut and fish allergies (both which were one the menu) and vegan options as well. No adjustment was ever an issue. We were also given full meals and both cakes to take to the hotel with us and so were both sets of parents, so they were able to go home and not worry about dinner. If you are at Briscoe and using Behind the Bash or you are at another venue and are trying to pick someone, you can't go wrong with Behind the Bash. They are amazing!!!

All of the food that comes out of the kitchen is amazing!! Although I didn't eat much on the day of, my guest did and loved it. I ate the salad they made just for me (took off the cheese and such) which was amazing! And the leftovers that we got were amazing reheated the next morning! the risotto and the bahn mis (SP?) were to die for. Thank you for everything from the bottom of our hearts!!!

Our guests are still raving about how delicious the food was!! And I'm still dreaming about the southwest eggrolls! From the helpful team to the beautiful layout of the food (we had a buffet), everything was perfect! Rachel and Jennifer were a dream to work with, in fact Jennifer stepped in multiple times on wedding day to offer a helping hand when it was needed. We were so impressed and would recommend them to everyone!

After the tasting, we knew that no matter what we picked for our wedding menu, it was going to be INCREDIBLE and we were not disappointed! The appetizers were to die for (bacon wrapped shrimp and Texas bruschetta) and everyone was raving about the Briscoe Chicken! Rachel was so great to work with! I couldn't have been happier with the food and service!

Behind the Bash was our caterer for our wedding at Briscoe Manor. I was told before we even booked Briscoe that we'd absolutely love the food. Well we definitely did! Rachel and her team do a great job! The food was wonderful and we've received so many compliments. We had one small issue with a part of the cake topper breaking before serving and the coordinator and staff took care of it quickly and without fuss. Overall, they were fantastic!

Truffle Mac N Cheese. Do I need to say more?! I've never been or heard of "wedding food" to be delicious and that is all that comes to mind when I think of our wedding!! Behind the Bash was VERY easy to communicate with, worked with our budget and went above and beyond to make our day special! Highly recommend and hope I can go to a wedding soon where BTB is catering. I'm still drooling over their food! Staff is highly professional and responds quickly to emails. Easy to work with and has an extensive list of food options. Wishing I could have another plate of their Pecan Crusted Chicken and Truffle Mac N Cheese!

We had our wedding about a month ago and everything about our wedding was amazing except Behind the Bash. I just want to start by saying we personally contacted Behind the Bash and now feel forced into writing a review because of how unprofessionally things were handled. We weren’t looking for any kind of refund and got nothing but defensive responses and ultimately ignored. Hope this doesn’t happen to any other couple that decides to go with them. Rachel, their coordinator, was great the day of but it seems that’s the only time we mattered. Let’s move onto the issues. During cocktail hour, half of our family were inside the chapel still taking pictures only to come out to no food even with 30 minutes left. We were told they only make 1.5 of each appetizer/person. More than half of the guest weren’t at cocktail hour till 30 minutes after it started and they’re claiming everything was eaten within 20-30 minutes? Our family members were also told more food was coming. They stood there waiting but nothing came out. During the dinner, a person at the head table did not get their plate and one of the groomsmen gave up his own to accommodate another guest. Our DJ was told to wait till after the guests have received their food but never received his plate. He asked multiple times and was told it would come later. The most alarming issue throughout the whole dinner was staff picking up plates too early. Guest would barely touch their plates and get up to go get a drink at the bar only to come back to their plates being cleaned away. We were told this is because they are trained to pick up the plates if their napkins are placed on top. Some people might of done this but not everyone. We had fireworks earlier then expect so people were about halfway through their dinner. Fireworks lasted about 5-10 minutes and you guessed it. Their plates were gone. The cake was served and picked up within minutes. They saw the cake being passed out as they headed to the bar but by the time they came back to their tables it was gone. People were asking for cake and were told there wasn’t any more or to wait. BTB told us that cake is usually picked up 15 minutes before the event is over. Again, this was not the case. I’m not sure what went wrong that night with Behind the Bash and their staff as we’ve read nothing but great things. Their mac and cheese is delicious and their bar service was excellent. That being said, having my 90 year old uncle tell me the next day that he had to go find food after the wedding because they took his food too early is the last thing we wanted to hear, especially when we paid the price we did and the inclusion of the mandatory tip. If you make it mandatory, you better deliver. Behind the Bash did not deliver. If anything, they completely failed at every step of that dinner service.

Rachel and the Behind the Bash team were excellent! She was very professional, organized, and prompt in communication. Our guests RAVED about the food at our wedding. I would absolutely recommend using BTB for your wedding.

Simply put - behind the bash has created the most elegant menu, with a refined style, and most importantly, an absolutely unmatched taste of delight. Thank you for making our rehearsal lunch and wedding reception flawless!! Kasidy
