From beginning to end, our experience at Belhurst was perfect. The planning process, staff and accommodations were fantastic, and the view and food were flawless. We received compliments from guests that this was the best food at a wedding that they had ever had (and we agreed!). You can't beat the lakeside view and old-fashioned charm with modern amenities. Sharon and her staff went above and beyond to make our special day (and the entire planning process) as stress-free as possible. They were flexible and accommodating and clearly have experience that paid off!
Drop dead georgeos venue! Experienced staff who knew all the little things that the bride and groom often miss (hors d'oeuvres plate with each item and a plate for each flavor of cake). Great food and a lot of options. Service was excellent. Very accommodating in set up and tear down.
Sharon and Morgan were our guides throughout the process at Belhurst, and they were extremely attentive and helpful. They were responsive via e-mail, and did whatever they could to give us the best wedding day possible - one example is helping to customize our bar offerings with signature cocktails and a particular choice of spirits. The ceremony on the lawn, with the lake in the background, and the Meritage ballroom proved to be stunning venues for the day. We had some initial hesitations about Belhurst running two weddings per day, but on our wedding day we hardly knew there was another event happening - they were able to keep them pretty much fully separate. The service and food (hors d’oeuvres, entrees, and late night pizza) were all fantastic and received rave reviews from our guests. It was very convenient to host the whole wedding weekend at Belhurst, which is what we were looking for - accommodations, ceremony, and reception - as well as being able to hang out at Stonecutter’s and around the fire pit - all in one place. Staff at Belhurst provided some particular items in support of our day, which was nice (for example, stands for our desserts). They had great recommendations to provide to us for vendors that they have worked with well. Our wedding at Belhurst was everything we had hoped for and more!
This place is literally picture perfect. Everyone on the staff was so attentive, kind, helpful, and friendly not only to us as the bride and groom but everybody that attended our wedding. If there was anything that anyone needed it was taken care of without a second thought.
Sharon their wedding/event coordinator was so wonderful. She was very attentive with her quick responses to emails with questions or concerns about planning our big day. She provided a lot of great ideas on how to make everything come together.
Morgan who is the day of coordinator was absolutely spectacular. She made us feel noticed and appreciated. She was very thorough with her check-ins to make sure that we were doing okay and that we had everything we needed to be comfortable while also enjoying our wedding. Particularly love she thought to set aside appetizers for us to enjoy as we were talking during our cocktail hour. She made sure that our day went off without a hitch and everything was perfect.
All of our guests were raving about the food, particularly the salmon. And could not get over how beautifully everything had been set up.
If you are looking for the perfect place to have a castle fairy tale wedding look no further you found it!
Belhurst is an amazing venue. Having everything done on site really help make the day run smoothly. We had the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, and next day breakfast buffet there. The food was excellent and the talk of the wedding by the guests! Being able to stay on-site was also a plus, making it easy to get ready and convenient for some of our older and out of town family members. The wedding coordinating staff are easy to talk to, give great ideas if you don’t know what to do, are able to provide a list a vendors who they have worked well with previously, and made sure everything was exactly as it needed to be for all the days we were there. They do an excellent job to make sure the day is as what you want it to do.
My wedding was beautiful the food was amazing ,and everyone had a great time! I was not impressed with the belhurst. The money we spent on this venue and the fine details were over looked. the event planners did not make sure everything was 100%. My veil fell out right before I walked down with my dad. No one stopped me to put it back in. The bowls for my center pieces all broke due to them not having enough water for the floating candles. The lights I had in the bowls for the center pieces, were all flahing instead of being steady. The event planner told me the remote did not work. They used a remote that had nothing to do with my wedding. If they had problems or questtions they should have come to me or my husdand and they didnt. The wall sockets are all loose and the plug falls out. Isabella salon inside the belhurst charged me over 500$ For my hair/make up and my daughters hair and make up. My daughter hair didn't hold and was completely flat for the ceremony. My make up didn't hold and neither did my daughters. When we packed up the next day we weren't given our cake, champagne glasses, cake topper or knife and server set. We had to drive back to the venue to pike up our stuff after I called to find out where I things were. They didn't wash ANYTHING! glasses, cake topper server set, the chip bowls were all dirty. My guests didn't even get to drink their champagne after the toasts. The servers came out collected the glasses. There was no food boxes set aside for me or my husband. We won't be going back here ever again!
It's a beautiful places but the service is awful for the money you dump on it.
My daughter got married at Belhurst Castle on 09/03/23. Everything about the wedding was perfect!! With the historic castle, lakeview and beautiful tall trees, the outdoor ceremony was intimate and very romantic. Appetizers and cocktails were served on the patio outside of the Meritage Ballroom. It was a hot day but the patio was in the shade and guests could sit outside with a view of the lake or inside in the air-conditioned dining room during cocktail hour. Our guests gave rave reviews to the appetizers. Carmen and her staff set beautiful and elegant table settings in the dining room. The atmosphere was timeless!! Guests enjoyed their meals and the great bar service provided. I would highly recommend Belhurst Castle for a wedding. The setting, inside and out, is stunning. Carmen and her staff ensure that everything goes smoothly and perfectly! I can’t thank Carmen enough for her professionalism and expertise!
Belhurst is the most amazing venue to have a wedding! The castle and grounds are gorgeous and make for beautiful photographs. The food is delicious and there are a wide variety of options to choose from. They are also extremely accommodating of food allergies! We were able to sample everything at a private tasting that really helped us narrow down the choices before creating our menu. The variety of alcohol options is great too. Carmen is simply the best! She helps you coordinate everything from beginning to end and she really knows her stuff. Unfortunately, it rained on our wedding day and the ceremony had to be moved inside but Carmen and her team did a fantastic job changing over the ballroom for the ceremony and back again! It seemed meant to be that we had our intimate ceremony in the Meritage Ballroom and as soon as the tables were arranged again we had people on the dance floor! Our guests keep raving about what a wonderful time they had! We also booked a good number of rooms in the Vinifera Inn and a few in the castle. It was really nice to be able to stay and get ready right on site. I also got my hair and make-up done at the Isabella Spa and was very happy with the results. Katie and Holly are very talented and helpful! I highly recommend the Belhurst Castle and Winery for your wedding!
Overall, our wedding was amazing and our guests raved about the band and the castle grounds. We knew about the two weddings a day, but were happily told the second wedding was marrying offsite. Day of our wedding, while I was getting ready, we saw the first ceremony outside starting at 3, with our ceremony starting at 4:30. This does not follow the contract that ensures a 2 hour break in between weddings. Additionally, our guests could not sit until 4:15 and the previous ceremony left trash and bottles on the ground, so my husband was picking up trash 15 minutes before our ceremony. When he brought in the trash he personally picked it up and asked where to put it, Sharon told him "over there" and did not apologize. Ultimately it was a minor issue, but rude and inconsiderate. By far the most frustrating aspect of working with Belhurst was the terrible lack of communication. Carmen is very good at her job but needs help with answering emails and calls. We went weeks with no response in between emails and didn't even know how much we owed a month before our wedding. An assistant, anything, to help with communication. I give the 3 stars for the affordable price, beautiful grounds, and the big ballroom was a lot of fun. My ultimate advice is this is not the venue for hyper organized people because the lack of communication is extremely stressful.
I cannot say enough how AMAZING this venue was. And especially Carmen and her staff. Carmen helped me since day 1 - she knows her stuff and makes wedding planning less stressful.
Everything on my wedding day went as planned and was beyond my expectations. The food is amazing, the staff is so kind - every little detail was just what I wanted and even more so!
Belhurst is an amazing place and I highly recommend it! It was the best day of my life due to this amazing venue!
My husband and I had our June 2022 wedding at Belhurst and I cannot say enough fantastic things about Carmen and the wedding team! From the day we booked the venue (1.5 years in advance!) through the end of our wedding night, Carmen was our superhero in coordinating EVERYTHING. She really knows what she is doing, she is so fun to work with, she understood our vision entirely.. my husband and I could not have planned our day without her! The venue itself is BREATHTAKING and our guests have not stopped raving about how beautiful everything was.. the view of the lake, the gorgeous historic castle, the ornate ballroom. We held our reception in the Castle Ballroom with 145 guests and it was a great space for everyone to spread out, dance, and visit with the other guests. We loved everything about our wedding at Belhurst, I cannot sing enough praises to Carmen and her team for all they did for us for our wedding!!!
We’re headed home from our stay right now and thinking back on how wonderful everything was. Our wedding reception had been postponed due to Covid, and all throughout the process of postponing, transferring our stay to a new date, explaining all our options…they were all so helpful and reassuring. I can’t speak highly enough of Carmen who coordinate everything for us and met up with us whenever we needed to, and Sharon as well. Karen was never far away on our wedding day, getting us anything we needed. The staff had such flawless service. Our guests all remarked on how gorgeous the venue was, both inside and out. The food was just excellent! Our room was very comfortable, it made for a perfect place for day-of preparation and rest the next day. Isabella Spa & Salon on-site was absolutely perfect. The stylists just took away all my day-of jitters while they did my hair & makeup, and I looked stunning if I may say so myself. Just an overall incredible experience!
Overall, my wedding was beautiful. The castle and grounds are gorgeous, and the space was perfect for a romantic day. From a guest’s perspective, everything was mostly good. From an “insider’s” perspective, several things were poorly done.
1) Carmen is nearly impossible to get a hold of. I know she’s busy. I know Belhurst is understaffed like everyone else. But I literally could not reach her via phone, email, even in person for 6 full weeks to get her to tell me how much money I owed Belhust a month before my wedding. Nobody else at Belhurst could help me out with other questions either. She either needs an assistant, or someone else at the venue should be able to address basic needs.
2) My décor was not at all what I asked for. I did not have much and I gave them a list (printed and emailed) of what I wanted where. Most items were not where I asked them to be, and several items were missing. It would not have taken longer to do it as I wanted. The ribbon for the napkins looked like it was hacked and fraying. At one point, a bouquet was put on a table so haphazardly that it toppled over as the staff member walked away and my MOH had to fix it.
3) There was a bat in the suite where my sister-in-law was staying. This was not one of the rooms with a balcony where she could have left the window open and it could have flown in (as they accused her of doing).
4) If you get married at Belhurst, DO NOT use the salon for your hair/makeup. Holly (the main hairdresser) was appallingly rude to me, my mom, and my mother in law during my trial. We should have known then to switch salons. Day of the wedding, Holly rushed through my mom’s hair (and did not do what my mother wanted) and then took a walk in appointment for a hair dye. My hair, which was done by another person, was fine but not what I asked for. Almost everyone had to get their hair re-pinned before the ceremony because it was poorly done.
I know the wedding industry is slammed this year due to COVID, but I don't think it's too much to ask that vendors are polite, get back to the bride in a timely manner (seriously...1.5 months to know how much money I owed them), and tried to meet the couple's wishes.
Our wedding day was the best day of our lives! The day itself ended up great except for a few things when it came to planning.
First the pros:
- We had to postpone due to COVID and the Belhurst was extremely easy to do that for us. They tried to talk us out of it at first but ultimately respected our decision and moved everything over so easily, even honoring most of the original pricing.
- Our day ended up going perfectly and it really was the best day of our lives. Carmen and her team really pulled off one heck of an event!
Cons:
- Carmen is extremely difficult to get ahold of. We would go weeks without a response to emails sometimes and getting her on the phone near impossible. I don't blame her personally for this, I personally think she just needs help.
- Before the wedding, we were accidently charged extra for the service fee, multiple times. When I pointed it out each time, I was met with a lengthy explanation that they were honoring the original pricing and we shouldn't complain then they would reluctantly change it to the correct amount.
- During the actual reception when we were ready to line up for introductions, Carmen was no where to be found (assuming she was helping the other wedding that day). Everything turned out fine because our photographer stepped in to do Carmen's job, but it was frustrating. Later in the evening Carmen was there serving dinners so our guess was that she takes turns between weddings. Again, not at all Carmen's fault, she really knows what she is doing and works incredibly hard. They really should have a point person for each wedding if there are two on a given day.
Overall, I would still recommend the Belhurst for the absolute beauty of the venue and the knowledge that it will go great even if planning is stressful. If Carmen got someone to help her, I would change my rating from a 3 to a 5.
Our wedding was amazing! Carmen and her team went above and beyond in every aspect! We couldn’t have envisioned our day any more perfect thanks to her! From our initial meeting until after our wedding day Carmen was connected, responsive and supportive through it all!
Had high expectations and thought we were in good hands after successful work events coordinated at this venue. Everything was wonderful up until the day of…and even then the only person at the end of the night we were still happy with was large events planner Carmen. Air conditioning was non functional in the bridal suite (Tower Suite). night before and morning of. Lodging manager jerked us around a bit, moved us in and out because he couldn’t guarantee repair and still wanted to book it out for that night after I refused to stay with no AC on my wedding night. In the end it was fixed by our wedding night and we stayed. Manager gave a substantial discount for the 2 nights which was fair. No communication with the small events coordinator….event booked for Edgars Lounge AND another wedding 30 min after our end time. Per our contract we had reserved the lounge for 2 hours for the groomsmen to get ready/photos/and hangout. That did not happen. Also per our contract weddings must be 2 hours apart to ensure proper cocktail hours and photo opportunities. Since there was not a 2 hour gap after our wedding we were pushed off the back lawn for our photos AND had to turn off our cocktail hour music. There needed to be communication with us that they double booked. Feel like with the l pandemic craziness it is pure chaos with the planners and no one is clear on plans. No wedding is without hitches but this was too much for comfort with the budget item that costs the most! Mainly picked the Belhurst for value (no event fee) and support of Carmen. Honestly looking back would have rather a different venue…even with a fee. Carmen was still great for the planning and execution of design; given the circumstances. Feel like a lot of the issue was the other Belhurst staff.
We are so happy we went with Belhurst. It is absolutely beautiful and the communication throughout was amazing (despite a pandemic). We would choose them over and over.
Carmen and her team were efficient and always available when you needed help. They made our wedding day better then we could have imagined. I'm so glad that we had our wedding there.
I can’t say enough great things about belhurst… they are just flat out perfect! I’m so happy we decided to go here! Carmen did so much for us! She was there with every crazy question we had, dealt with my crazy in-laws with the Covid madness with ease! Best thing Belhurst has ever done is hire Carmen. They did all the set up too!! Everything was exactly what we wanted! She went above and beyond and we truly appreciated it. We love you Belhurst thank you for all your hard work!
Carmen was amazing , made the day go smoothly even with all the covid craziness .
The grounds are stunning and we were able to get sick a variety of photos.
Belhurst is a spectacular venue. The food was amazing. Carmen was very easy to work with. Thank you for making our day perfect!
Belhurst did an amazing job with our June wedding. We held both the ceremony and reception on site, utilizing the outdoor space and both ballrooms. The guests raved about how gorgeous the view is, and the Belhurst staff were incredible with executing the logistics of the wedding. Carmen, the Event Coordinator, is an expert in creating flawless weddings and answering every question in great detail. Highly recommend having your wedding at Belhurst!
My husband and I hosted our down-sized wedding in November of this year and Belhurst was wonderful every step of the way! The wedding coordinator, Carmen, worked with us to change our initial wedding plans to meet COVID guidelines. She was so flexible with guest count changes and tons of safety questions. Numerous guests commented to us about how they felt safe. We also got tons of compliments about the food! Our wedding day was wonderful, if a little different than what we initially thought it would be, and that would not have been possible without the work of Carmen and her staff. I would 100% recommend Belhurst Castle to anyone looking for a wedding venue in the Finger Lakes!
Belhurst Castle hosted my only daughter’s wedding so beautifully, thoughtfully, carefully and professionally during the Covid pandemic—I could not have asked for more. The price was also reasonable. The key wedding coordinator, Carmen, is so experienced & hardworking that every little detail I asked for was done perfectly, & she gave us good advice. We were kept posted on changing Covid impacts (especially the 50 person limit), & Belhurst was flexible & responsive as we struggled with decisions w/Covid impacting everything. Their goal was to make sure we had a fun, safe, beautiful celebration despite it all—& we did.
I was the mother of the bride, & officiated as well as was the de facto wedding planner & bill payor. Those roles made it a virtual necessity that Belhurst staff were top notch. Many guests stayed at Belhurst (a beautiful place w/many elegant rooms & amazing lake views). A number of reservations had to be canceled as attendees dropped out due to Covid. Sometimes new people were substituted on prior reservations. It got complicated. Belhurst handled this efficiently and without any unnecessary cost.
The food was very good. The bride, groom and I sampled at least 10 meals before picking the menu. (Plated meals were required due to Covid.) I only sampled the vegetarian & vegan meals, and they were delicious. The Belhurst menu allowed many meals to be made gluten free which was also important. Belhurst only charged for actual meals served & allowed variations and substitutions as requested on the wedding day. I could not have asked for more.
Carmen knew the exact order for wedding ceremony events and how to do them. This was particularly important to me as I did not know how to both officiate and be the MOB at the same time. When she told me I would walk down the side with the groom followed by the groomsmen, I was elated. That was perfect, & I had not thought of that solution in all my ruminating about whether to be escorted down the aisle, wear my robe or dress then, etc. What a relief to be guided by someone with so much experience that she had seen everything and knew what worked.
We had to decide last minute whether to have the wedding inside or outside in the cool fall weather. I liked Carmen’s position—it’s the bride’s call. Though my daughter had her heart set on outside, it was too cool for the string quartet and for guests, so we stayed inside for the ceremony — but got many formal pictures outside plus the rehearsal was outside—the perfect compromise.
Carmen not only oversaw everything, she was a waitress at the dinner so that she could make sure everyone was happy. I have never seen anyone else work so hard & smart.
The staff was very helpful with the little extras —and when it came to decorating, we had a lot happening. They worked hard and well with me and the florist. E.g., I asked belatedly for little LED light strings from the rehearsal dinner to be added to the display of family wedding photos. 20 minutes after my request I found 4 employees sitting on the floor untangling LED lights for the display.
PS—The Halloween rehearsal dinner was at Belhurst too, & what a beautiful job they did with our many rehearsal dinner decorations! They showed their creativity—w/a white owl & crows up high in front of stained glass windows, bats too, black candles, bat art & black Jack-o-lanterns on tables, & skeleton mice peaking out of plants. The candy table was beautiful, the entry display breathtaking.
Our wedding was at the mist of this pandemic on July 31st,2020. I was very skeptical with all the regulations but Carmen and her crew made this wedding a fairy tale. It was perfect. The execution was extraordinary. From the lake side ceremony to the transition of the reception.
Everything came out beautifully and flawless.
We loved everything about The Belhurst. With cover-19 and only 50 guests allowed The Belhurst did an amazing job. We had a wonderful wedding. The service is 5-star all the way. Carmen makes you feel at ease an treats every guest the same. We loved the food tasting.
The wedding was planned withe outstanding help and communication with Carmen at Belhurst. Then Covid hit. Every week brought new changes Carmen and her team were on top of it and positive thru the whole experience. Everything was incredibly well organized for the ceremony, cocktails and reception. Absolutely no worries on your wedding day because they handle it all! Beautiful setting, great food, wonderful wedding day!!
Our wedding at Belhurst was perfect. Carmen was constantly updating us on Covid and allowed us so much flexibility in still being able to make our day happen, helping us through the many changes we had to make to comply with NYS executive orders. The venue is absolutely beautiful and we could not have asked for a more scenic place to get married. The food was perfect and we were afforded so many different options despite it being such a small wedding. The women at the Spa were so kind and made my girls and me all look so beautiful. I would definitely recommend this venue.
Belhurst Castle is an absolutely amazing wedding venue! We had both our ceremony and the reception at Belhurst and we cannot say enough good things about this place. The team at Belhurst truly care about your special day and pay attention to every detail. They were so easy to work with and very attentive. They were flexible with planning and very accommodating, while also providing valuable suggestions to make your day perfect.
They helped make our wedding day go so smooth and easy to have fun. Many of our guests said that it was one of the most beautiful wedding venues they have ever attended; and we agree! The lake views are stunning from both the yard and the ballrooms which were perfect for pictures! There are also unique photo opportunities on the lawn, in front of the castle, by the railroad tracks, and on the dock on the water.
The food was amazing and the waiting staff were very attentive from the moment you arrived.
If you are looking for a wedding venue where the staff and coordinators will go the extra mile in every way, with a beautiful environment both outside and inside; Belhurst Castle is it. We recommend Belhurst Castle with high regard!
I can not recommend Belhurst Castle enough. As a bride getting married in the middle of the COVID19 pandemic, I am so grateful and pleased with how our wedding day went, as well as all the planning leading up to it. Carmen was so responsive and helpful, always keeping us in the loop with the changing rules and being honest and transparent. I felt confident that myself and our guests were going to be safe as all precautions and NYS rules were adhered to. I also never felt like Belhurst was just trying to get our money, they were SO fair and helpful with all the uncertainties and accommodated our always changing guest list, up to the very day! Pandemic aside, the staff at Belhurst was so amazing. I did not need to set up any decorations as the team had it covered, the servers and bartenders were not only great at their jobs but also very pleasant, and the food was phenomenal. Carmen and her team met us in parking lot with drinks as we were getting off the bus, and I feel like we always had a drink or hors d'oeuvre in hand during happy hour as everyone was so attentive. The menu was very flexible and fun to put together. The whole day went so smoothly and I was honestly so much less stressed than I expected to be, and that is thanks to Carmen and the team at Belhurst. The grounds are also beautiful, with the castle, the lake, the large outdoor lawn area for everyone to enjoy, the fire pit, the outdoor bar, everything. I am so happy with our decision to choose Belhurst for our wedding reception and would 100% recommend to others.
I am the mother of the bride whose daughter got married at Belhurst. Carmen and her team MADE our wedding experience. With everything going on, it went off perfectly. We could not have been more pleased with the food, customer service, professionalism and more.
Let me set the stage for you, it would be easy to just leave a 5-star review and say that my wedding on October 18th, 2020 was one of the best days of my life, but that isn’t the whole story here. There is so much more here that I cannot begin to put into words. Before Covid-19 had hit my now husband and I committed to Belhurst for our special day, it is beautiful, and highly affordable compared to everywhere else we had looked at. 2 key decision makers for us was: 1-their policy that you only pay for the people that come to the event so if all of a sudden a freak blizzard hits and 20 people don’t come, no problem. And 2- meeting their Wedding Coordinator Carmen and team who has now with Covid-19 actually seen IT ALL, will make sure that your day is perfect, and will answer and respond to every little question texted her way with extreme patience and kindness (Trust me I contacted her A LOT). As I’m sure you are aware of October 2020 is smack in the middle of Covid-19 and ALL of the very real restrictions that New York State had set and planning a wedding is stressful enough without the always changing rules. We let Carmen know we planned to move forward and then we came in to try out the menu options and can I say–YUM. Trying out the menu was so much fun and I’m so thankful that in the midst of Covid-19 the team at Belhurst kept everything fun and wonderful even with a mask on. Waking up in one of the stunning rooms and watching the sun rise over the lake was incredible and really gave me some beautiful calming time to myself before the day really started, followed by a continental breakfast to make sure I had a filling start to the day, a stunning cup of coffee, and a friendly staff letting me know which way to the coffee. After the day started I was expertly styled by Belhurst’s Isabella’s Salon , and then I stopped in the Ballroom to make sure everything was set up right…I came in with the room incredibly set-up better than I ever could have imagined, and Carmen sitting down eating a well-deserved powerbar smiling at me as I came in. As I know Carmen and the team at Belhurst HAD-IT-HANDLED. I didn’t need to worry about a single thing. I went back up to my room. Carmen came to get us when it was time, brought us down to our entrance point…and I married the love of my life. As soon as we came back from saying “I-do” They had drinks and Hors d'oeuvres in hand (Making sure my gluten-free ones were separate because of my food allergy), and the following was magically and still is a week later. In a non-Covid Year it would’ve been the best thing that happened all year, but in this Covid-19 insanity this was our own oasis of happiness and celebration (with masks and all safety rules followed) but it was truly one of the most incredible days of my life and a huge part of that goes to Carmen and the Team at Belhurst. So while there are many beautiful places to get married, Belhurst, Carmen and the team there made my husband and I part of their Belhurst family and gave us an incredible gift by making our day about the celebration of us, not making us worry about anything, and just giving us the beauty and the happiness of the wedding of our dreams in the midst of Covid-19. So if they can manage the perfect day with all of that going on, you have absolutely NOTHING to think about or worry about. Call up Belhurst and meet Carmen and the Team and see for yourselves. Have your special day there…you won’t regret it.
Carmen went above and beyond to make our day special despite the rapidly changing rules and guidelines in NYS during Covid. I barely had to say anything, and she knew exactly what I wanted. The ceremony outside was absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t have asked for a better venue.
Our wedding day was perfect! Carmen was very helpful and made sure our day went smoothly. Our ceremony was held outside, and our reception was in the Castle Ballroom. It was a beautiful day. I'm not the creative type, so I gave Carmen and her team a lot of decorations with very vague ideas. They set everything up beautifully with little direction which took a lot of stress off of us and our bridal party.
The food tasting process was amazing. They gave us seven full meals to taste to be sure we got a good idea of what we would want. The food on the wedding day tasted amazing and was the same it was at the tasting about 6 months prior.
The only slight annoyance we experienced was Carmen being difficult to get ahold of very early in the planning process. We had to send multiple emails and called several times before she got back to us. This was right in the middle of wedding season the year before our big day, so I understood she was very busy with the brides and grooms of that year. As soon as we were within about a year of our date, Carmen was very responsive and easy to get in touch with. Even with this hiccup and small amount of stress, I'd still highly recommend Belhurst to anyone.
Belhurst is the perfect full service venue! They have weddings down to a T. It was great getting to enjoy the day knowing that all of the logistics were completely taken care of. Carmen and her staff are amazing. I didn't feel like they were nickle and diming me at any point (unlike some of the other venues in the area we looked at). Also, the castle is absolutely beautiful. I would HIGHLY recommend.
I cannot say enough good things about Carmen! She was absolutely amazing in every way. She definitely made us feel like we were her top priority every time we spoke to her even though we were well aware of just how many weddings she was juggling at the same time! She always responded with a detailed message answering any question i had And then some! The day of the wedding couldn’t have gone better, everything was so beautiful and so perfect. Our waiter during dinner was so attentive and kind, i wish I caught His name and the bartender was amazing as well, we haven’t heard a single complaint from any of our guests, only positive feedback about how beautiful the day was and that the food was delicious! The cleaning staff was also incredible, making sure to have our suite ready for early checkin, we were hoping for it to be ready by 1pm and we were able to check in at 9:30 am! I cant Thank everyone enough for making our wedding so so perfect! I’ll continue to recommend belhurst to anyone and everyone I know!
Simply amazing! Yes the venue was great but the reason to have your wedding at Belhurst is Carmen! You know when you meet her that you’re in good hands. Carmen will help you throughout the planning process - every detail is accounted for and every single question answered along the way. We are so happy we chose Belhurst to celebrate our special day.
This venue is stunning. We only enhanced the ballroom and venue with minor decorations as this place did not require anything to make it stand out. From the time you drive in to the time you stumble off the dance floor you are surrounded by beautiful scenery and views. Plus, they take care of everything from bar service, food, and linen for tables as well as ushering people to their seats. Fantastic, would highly recommend this site for anyone dreaming of a winery wedding.
We had our ceremony & reception at the Belhurst in August 2019. The day turned out even more beautiful than imagined!!! We are so happy with our choice in this venue for our day. The event coordinators (Carmen and Sharon) were wonderful in making sure everything went as planned. During the planning process, they were always available for questions which helped alleviate any concerns and allowed planning to go smoothly. We loved that that everything you could need is on site - hotel, salon, restaurant. We used the salon for makeup, and most of our family stayed on site.
The food was perfect, and the amount of choices to customize your menu exceeded expectations. The view of Seneca Lake, and the value compared to other Finger Lakes venues, could not be beat. Definitely check this out!
The Belhurst Castle is set right on Seneca Lake and is a gorgeous backdrop for weddings. We had our reception on the lawn and our reception in the Meritage Ballroom. While the location itself was our initial draw to the Belhurst, the major advantage of the Belhurst was Carmen, Sharon, and the rest of their staff. Carmen and Sharon go above and beyond to help make sure your day goes smoothly. They are true wedding professionals! They are extremely organized, caring, and accommodating. I felt like I could relax and enjoy the day because I trusted Carmen and Sharon completely. The only issue we had at the Belhurst was that we got married on a day that was 100 degrees outside so the air conditioning in the castle was not cutting it for that kind of weather. Everyone had a great time though and we had a beautiful wedding. Highly recommend the Belhurst!
From the start of our planning to the execution of everything on the day of- we cannot imagine having had our wedding anywhere else! The Belhurst Castle team made our day so wonderful and easy to plan and we truly appreciate that, especially since we planned long distance from across the country. Carmen our wedding coordinator was amazing and we were more than impressed with how accurate her suggestions as far as expectations for pricing, headcount and meal choices were. As we progressed through the planning process, it was clear how prepared and professional Carmen & the entire team at Belhurst conducted themselves. On our wedding day, we had rain throughout the day but the entire staff at Belhurst worked extremely hard and managed to get us outside for the event just as the sky cleared up- we were thrilled! The ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and everything in between were incredible. Our guests continue to tell us how nice the wedding was, how beautiful Belhurst Castle is, how great the staff and service was & most importantly how much fun they had! We love Belhurst's appeal & charm and we were so happy with how our day went, we will definitely be recommending this venue to other couples we know that are planning a wedding.
Belhurst was top notch in every aspect. It is such a beautiful venue and Carmen means business! She has every detail covered and she doesn't let anything mess up the schedule. The whole staff was extremely professional, kind, smiling, and attentive to our vision for the reception. Contrary to popular belief, the venue is very affordable for the setting and views. We expected it to be way out of our price range and we were pleasantly surprised! Highly recommend!
We had our wedding at Belhurst Castle on June 22nd, 2019. We worked with Carmen who is absolutely phenomenal. She is extremely organized and helpful not only on the day off but along the way. She coordinated everything on the day off with our vendors so we could focus on our wedding day. Her and her team are so accommodating and professional. Not only we thought the food was delicious but all of our guests were raving about it. They did all of the set up and break down of table centerpieces and lawn games. They really took the stress away from us. We met with her a few times along the process and worked with her over email. She was very responsive and guided us along the way with each item. She never got frustrated with all of our questions and always looked after us. The venue is beautiful and well maintained. The weather was beautiful so our guests loved being outdoors for the cocktail hour and throughout the wedding. Carmen truly is amazing and we could not have imagined the reception going any better thanks to her and her team.
My husband I got married at the Belhurst on 6/1/19 and I couldn't think of a more perfect venue for our special day. We had out ceremony by the lake which was perfect for pictures, and the larger ball room for the reception, which fit about 150/160 guests perfectly! The whole process working with Belhurst was ideal, and cannot recommend Carmen, or Sharon enough. They were on top of every detail from the moment we booked the venue, until the last dance. The venue offers so much for your money too, so if you're looking for the perfect wedding (especially around summer/ fall) this has the full package!
The castle and grounds are just gorgeous by themselves and the food was fantastic but what really makes Belhurst phenomenal is Carmen. She is a saint. She made sure no "t" was left uncrossed and no "i" un-dotted. She really made the day perfect. She gives you "Carmen's check list of things" to make sure everything goes smoothly the day of and the days leading up to. She has a very calming effect, probably because it is so obvious that she knows exactly what she's doing. Carmen is priceless.
The food was great, and when we were unable to finish our dinners the staff boxed them up for us so we could take them to our room. We also ended up with a credit from where we had over paid for some things (they don't charge you for people who don't show up) and that was a nice surprise at checkout.
My bridesmaids, my mom, his mom, and I all got our hair and makeup done at the Isabella salon and everyone walked out of there looking fabulous. Holly did my hair and she did an amazing job, I have a TON of hair and she wrangled it into a bun that held the entire night, even with my veil that weighed about 5lbs.
I can't think of one negative thing to say. Everything was perfect
I cannot say ENOUGH about how amazing Belhurst Castle was to work with. Carmen and her team went above and beyond to make our day special. Not only is the venue gorgeous, but Carmen made me feel so at ease with decorations, rain locations, and pleasing our guests. She made my day stress free, and I don't think every bride can say that. The food was also amazing, our guests loved their appetizers and dinners, which seemed to be bigger than most weddings I've been to. Prior to the wedding, I was able to ask questions and get quick answers, drop things off, and visit when we needed to. The town and lake area were also amazing attractions for our guests who came from all over the world (Japan, Italy, California, etc.). I highly recommend the venue and can't wait to go back to the castle and visit. I am so grateful for everyone at Belhurst!
From the planning to the wedding day, everything went smoothly, the food was great and my husband and I (and our guests) had a fabulous time!
We were beyond thrilled with all aspects of the Belhurst. From an amazing, indescribable venue, to the details taken to ensure our guests and wedding party were comfortable, they went above and beyond. We had a blizzard during our wedding, yet all our guests were warm and comfortable. The maintenance team worked through the night to ensure all our guests could get on the road in the morning and the hotel staff, automatically extended everyone’s rooms incase they needed to stay. Carmen and her staff exceeded our expectations handling everything so we could ENJOY our wedding! And the food... WOW!! Overall, most incredible wedding venue we could ask for!
Belhurst Castle was an amazing wedding venue. The wedding coordinators, Carmen and Sharon, were extremely helpful and always available to answer questions. They provided us with all the information we needed and checklists to make sure we were on track throughout the whole process. The day before and the day of the wedding I was completely stress free and didn't have to worry about anything. Belhurst Castle specializes in weddings, so the prices were very fair and absolutely worth every dollar for the service and wedding we received. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone. (in additional the venue itself the lake view is incredible!)
Belhurst Castle is a gorgeous place to have a wedding reception. The castle and the lake create a wonderful spot to get plenty of beautiful pictures. With that said, be prepared to be disappointed with the majority of the staff. Before our wedding day, I emailed back and forth with the Events Coordinator and I became confident that the day would go as planned. However, I was sadly mistaken. First, we booked well over a year in advance for our reception at 4 pm and were guaranteed that there would be a two hour gap in between receptions. Well, that was NOT the case. Ours started at 4 pm and the other reception started at 4:30 pm. This lack of a two hour gap had a direct negative effect on the quality of service at our reception. To make matter worse, this poor service did not seem to matter to the staff at Belhurst an we were not compensated at all for it. Secondly, the gold ribbon we had purchased and brought to Belhurst was not tied around the napkins. This may seem like a small detail but it was extremely annoying because we had emailed back and forth about the ribbon and the Events Coordinator knew that we were supposed to have ribbon on the napkins. When asked about it later, the Events Coordinator claimed that it was not in the box. We can guarantee that it was, but even so, I believe that I should have received a call about where the ribbon was. The Events Coordinator did mail us gold ribbon afterwards; however, I thought it was quite rude to take the time to include the receipt but no apology note. Third, we had mints that were supposed to be placed around each table, they were not and our favors were not put out until after many, many guests had already left.
When checking out the following morning, the Lodging Manager made it clear that our concerns from the reception were irrelevant. Not only did we spend a great deal of money at Belhurst, but many of our guests stayed at the castle and all of them agreed the Lodging Manager was disinterested in their concerns. In fact, many of them said they would not stay at Belhurst again. Belhurst seems to have an attitude that they are Belhurst and that will make them succeed. This type of attitude, I believe, is unacceptable.
We just got married at the Belhurst Castle Memorial Day weekend and it truly exceeded my expectations. Everything was perfect and went smoothly, they really know what they’re doing. Carmen is the absolute best, the entire week leading up to the weekend she was there for whatever we needed, even when we showed up the first day unannounced she was ready for us. She also got us checked into our suite by 11 am. Our guests seemed to have a really nice time as well. With the perfect spot between the castle and the lake, I wouldn’t have had it anywhere else!
We could not be any more thrilled with our wedding at Belhurst. Carmen is one of a kind and made it her mission to make us feel completely relaxed, excited, and confident that everything would go perfectly. The pictures are breathtaking and the food was delicious. Carmen has been planning weddings for decades and makes each bride feel like she is only working for them. I can't imagine having gone through this process without her, and absolutely recommend the Belhurst for brides looking to get married in the breathtaking finger lakes region.
Being from the area and spending alot of time in the FLX region....the Belhurst was an obvious choice. If you're going to get married in the FLX region, then it has to be hosted on the water. Silly not to! The Belhurst gives incredible views, historic charm of the castle, and an incredible planner, Carmen. Carmen is incredible... and took care of everything. I am all about the details and Carmen never made me feel like I was asking for too much... even if it meant tying the ribbons of my perfectly coordinated navy and white striped ribbons around every menu card! :) Day of... staff was on point! They saw the wedding party getting hungry during photos and brought cocktail hour snacks down to us! Meals were brought out perfectly. Late night snacks were a hit. 5 STAR!
We chose Belhurst for our wedding 7/23/16, and are so happy we did! Jo was our wedding coodinator, and she did a great job of communicating what she needed from us while we were planning from Pittsburgh. Except for a hiccup with the table arrangements, everything else on our day went smoothly. The staff seemed to be really friendly. Our awesome DJ, Joe Quatela of Q Music Productions, works well with Belhurst, and kept everyone on the dance floor so much so that Belhurst turned our open bar into a host bar and provided us with a refund for the difference the next day. They really know what they're doing. Highly recommend!
Everyone at Belhurst went above and beyond to make my wedding day magical - I can't say enough good things about them! Worth every penny.
We could not have asked for a better place to have our wedding, or for better people to work with throughout the process. Carmen and Dana made the entire day beautiful and unforgettable for us. They were very helpful throughout the entire planning process, as well as throughout our special day. The ceremony and reception were beautiful and elegant, and the food was amazing. We would definitely recommend them!
I am a wedding photographer and had the delight of working with Carmen this past weekend. She is simply amazing. When I see how brilliant she is at handling any situation, the way she can juggle everything, never drop a thing or miss a beat, I’m beyond impressed. Simply brilliant! Nowhere have I ever seen someone so exceptionally talented and passionate about getting everything perfect. I'm very certain the couple and their families had a brilliant experience throughout their wedding weekend at Belhurst. Largely thanks to Carmen. Everything was perfect and done right. So impressed. On a personal note to Carmen, thank you for being such a wonderful professional to work with and for making my job so much easier.
Belhurst was the perfect venue! We got married in the Marriage ball room it was everything we could have hoped for and more - it was set up beautifully . The staff on the day of made sure that my hubby and I were taken care of the whole day. We had our rehearsal dinner in Edgars, all of the girls got ready at the Isabella salon, and then we had the ceremony/reception there. The whole weekend was perfect in every way. Carmen is AMAZING. I've read reviews that complain about her response time, but I didn't find that any issue - you have to remember Belhurst is the #1 wedding venue in the Finger Lakes. I highly recommend Belhurst as a wedding venue as everything went perfect with Carmen and the staff, it was beautiful and many people said it was the best wedding they have ever been to! Couldn't be happier.
Isabella Spa was great. Ellen, the manager, was the sweetest and easiest to deal with! They fit in a bunch of us and did a lovely job on everyone. My hair was awesome. The stylist (wonderful Lori) was happy to give suggestions. We were able to have champagne and lunch and they were nice about us coming in a little late. And again, Ellen was awesome -- she really went out of her way to make us comfortable and to make me (the bride) happy and relaxed.
We loved Belhurst. Carmen is THE BEST. She accommodated everything, even drove to local breweries so we could have craft beer! She was awesome, and the views are gorgeous. They were also lovely about us doing our own flowers. I recommend it with as many stars as possible!
Had my daughter's wedding there on 12-12-15. From the first time we decided to have the wedding there until clean up after the wedding - I was totally at ease. The venue speaks for itself - gorgeous lake views, wonderful banquet rooms, the staff is excellent as was the food. The prices were very reasonable and all guests continue to talk about this event. I would chose this venue again for future activities as the staff, food and service were amazing. What a blessed day we had!
Had an AMAZING wedding ceremony outside with the lake as our back drop, cocktail hour and reception in the Castle Ballroom. Carmen was amazing at helping me and coordinating everything once the week arrived. The food was awesome, the staff was super friendly and accommodating and they didn't miss a beat as far as what we planned for the day/evening.
Wouldn't change anything about the event!
Wedding experts at Belhurst were professional and smooth, and made our wedding weekend a wonderful time. Venue is gorgeous, indoor and out, and you get all you pay for (and more!) Recommend with 5 stars!
My husband and I had never been to Belhurst, but as soon as we saw it, we knew that it had to be our venue. The wedding coordinators were absolutely amazing and so easy to work with. The whole experience with them was more than enjoyable and they took away a lot of the stress I was feeling. The ballroom was set up and they listened to every vision I had and made it look amazing. The food was out of this world. Everything went perfect. It is the most beautiful location to get married! We had the best time!
Once I set foot on the property of Belhurst Castle, I was sold. It was absolutely gorgeous, and I knew I would be happy with wedding photos taken there. Located in Upstate NY, weather can be very unpredictable, so it was important to pick a venue that was stunning on its own. Belhurst definitely gave me that. The food was excellent, the wine is wonderful, and the amenities offered on site are unmatched by other venues in the area. Almost all of my guests (90%) were traveling from afar and needed lodging so Belhurst provided accommodations, food, entertainment, and spa & salon services.
I truly believe all of my guests had a fabulous time.
As the bride, I was very disappointed with the level of customer service during the planning process. If you are a bride who doesn't mind doing everything on your own, and not hearing back from the venue in a timely manner, then you shouldn't have a problem with Belhurst. However, if you expect responses to emails and phone calls within a week's time, you will be incredibly frustrated by the staff at Belhurst.
Only after my wedding did I realize how understaffed they are. This is the reason they cannot offer great customer service: there simply are not enough staff available to answer questions and follow-up bride's requests.
Overall: Great value for a beautiful venue, as long as you can deal with heavy frustration during the planning process.
If I had a larger budget, I would have looked elsewhere.
My husband and I were so happy with how our wedding turned out. The venue was beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting. Carmen, Jo and the staff were so amazing. I didn't have to worry about one thing the day of the wedding! All of my guests were raving about how beautiful the venue was and kept asking how we found it. I don't think we could have picked a better place!
Belhurst Castle is the ultimate wedding venue! We had our cocktail hour and reception here. It is absolutely gorgeous (right on Seneca Lake). The staff was awesome! They were right on top of everything and not at all intrusive! Our day turned out to be absolutely perfect, we could not have asked for more! :-)
I found the Belhurst in searching for a destination wedding that would be easily accessible for my guests by car. I loved the beauty of the castle, location on the lake, the fact that it was a winery (our theme) it had accommodations, dining and a spa for guests and my hair and makeup. And the best part was that it was extremely affordable in comparison to other venues. Once we booked the Meritage ballroom, we worked with Stephanie, who is no longer with them, and then we worked with Jo in planning our wedding. What I liked is that I felt Jo got to know us as a couple (very personal considering all the weddings she does) and had a feel for what we liked. I would consider myself picky, and although I was concerned that the Belhurst does so many weddings and they try to keep it according to their plan, I was concerned at first as to whether there would be the flexibility I would need to cover the details. They are pros at this and everything flowed beautifully and all requests were accommodated. I even had guests comment that they appreciated their dietary needs were met upfront without asking (needed 3 meals specialized due to allergy) We did a food tasting and selected the filet, stuffed chicken, and salmon. We included the shrimp bisque, pear and gorgonzola salad (which was modified slightly to our request) sorbet before our main course. My guests raved that the food was excellent and that it was the best wedding food that they actually enjoyed every course! You do not get to try the appetizers as part of your tasting, which worried me a little. Don't be worried! We had the baked brie en croute, chicken pot stickers, stuffed mushrooms, tenderloin tips (must do!) bacon wrapped scallops (another must)and chicken & beef skewers. Everything was great! The planning staff will work with you best via email and return you calls although it may be hard to reach them when you call. Keep in mind on weekends they are working on weddings and usually have Monday and Tues. off so Wednesday and Thursdays are the best times for phone calls. We worked from a distance, but made a couple of trips up for planning purposes. The wedding on the lawn was beautiful (We had a very rainy morning and I was concerned we would have to be indoors) They made every effort to assure me we would have it outside a all costs, unless it was pouring and we were lucky that it got sunny right before the wedding. Chairs were dry for guests and our outside cocktail hour was lovely. The staff was very polite and helpful. After the wedding we sat outside at the fire pit with our guests and family from another wedding that weekend. They also said their day was great and were very happy with the Belhurst. Suggest booking early as this venue fills up over a year in advance if you want key dates. Special thanks to Jo for doing an excellent job. Please note: Carmen was on leave around our wedding, so we had very little contact with her until just the day of the wedding but I have read she does an excellent job. Please note that Jo is a great support and they made a great team to be sure all was covered in her absence right before our wedding.
Belhurst was perfect in EVERY way for our wedding. It was beautiful, the cost was reasonable, the coordinators knew exactly what they were doing. Everything went off on time. Food was amazing and service was perfect.
The staff at Belhurst was wonderful for my wedding. They catered to my mom's (who did most of the planning) every question and request. The only REAL issue we had was that 2 days before the wedding we got a call saying that they had "misplaced" our ring bearer pillow, guestbook and pen set, and all 120 handwritten placecards that had been locked in their storage room with the rest of our decorations. Other than that it was great. Everything else got set up just the way we asked and the room my husband and I rented was wonderful!
I can't say enough great things about everyone I worked with and encountered at Belhurst Castle! Carmen and her assistant Jo were fantastic and made sure everything went smoothly and as planned on the day of and during our rehearsal. Although sometimes it took a little longer to get responses sometimes or to get in contact with either Carmen or Jo (they are crazy busy with so many weddings there to focus on) when it came to the day of or any burning questions I had they couldn't have been more helpful or attentive. You just have to trust them that they have got everything under control and they will make your day perfect. I honestly felt completely comfortable and would recommend them to anyone. Everyone commented on the beautiful venue and just general good feel of the whole day. Also, the food was great and the service staff were great. They took great care of both me an my husband, as well as our wedding party and guests. One of the servers even walked down to the train tracks to deliver drinks to us and wedding party during our photo session following the ceremony. Thank you everyone at Belhurst for making our wedding spectacular!!!!
We had both our bridal shower and rehearsal dinner here. Not only is the food and service amazing you also get breathtaking views and scenery inside and out.
Belhurst was great. We got rave reviews about the food, and they really helped me plan/set up leading up to the event. They are skilled experts and run a tight ship the night-of. I didn't have to worry about anything. If anything did come up, which only happened once, I was discreetly pulled aside and everything was solved in a moment. Great food, beautiful location, the guests were raving about everything! Very happy.
I cannot tell you how disappointed we were with this spa. To start, the "wedding coordinator" was unprofessional. She did not respond to my emails or calls in a timely fashion (it took her about 2 weeks to answer). I gave her the benefit of the doubt but when she emailed me with a schedule shortly before the wedding stating that only a few in my bridal party could get their hair done and that all the rest had to get a "blow out," I was devastated as this was not what had been discussed. Turns out they triple booked the salon for that day and told me that they didn't have time. I wish they had been upfront with me and told me then that they couldn't accommodate my party from the beginning. After getting the spa manager involved it just seemed to get worse. The manager was EXTREMELY rude and has little to no appropriate customer service skills. On my wedding day, as I was getting my hair done, she continuously approached me and literally got in my face about making sure my girls were there on time. She told me that this was inconvenient for her stylists as they had to work all day and their arms would be tired. I found this to be incredibly stressful and unprofessional as SHE overbooked the salon and scheduled three weddings for the day. The stylist who did my hair did a great job; I was happy it stayed up and looked similar to what I had wanted. On the other hand, five of my friends who got their hair done either had their style fall out the second they left, or found that the stylist would not listen to their request. Hair is tough to get to stay up, but if you pay the money, I expect it to stay until at least the reception and I expect the stylists to be accommodating and easy to work with. Working with the spa was a complete disappointment. I haven't told many people, only my mom and my bridesmaids know how bad it got, but I didn't want it to ruin our great day. I debated whether or not to share this, but I feel that it is important for people to know what they might get. Maybe someone else will have a completely different experience than the one I had, but I just don't feel this was right.
I thought it was too good to be true.....the price was reasonable, the setting fabulous and very few questions from the staff. The experience exceeded expectations. Our coordinator, Stephanie, was wonderful. I was nervous about dropping all of our stuff off and not putting it all together myself. As it turns out, the staff did a better job than I could have! They were friendly, accommodating and very professional. The food was amazing, but the best part was just knowing that it was all taken care of. All I had to do was show up and enjoy the day. All of our guests raved about the setting and the food as well.
I had my wedding ceremony outdoors and wedding reception in the Meritage Ballroom at the Belhurst. I had an absolutely amazing wedding from beginning to end. I will say that 6 months prior to the wedding I did have some problems with getting in contact with Carmen and I ended up writing a complaint letter to the owner. Ever since our food tasting everything else was perfect. The room we got ready in was beautiful. They were very accomodating to requests. Carmen and Stephanie make the day flow so smoothly the bride does not have to worry about anything. I got a ton of compliments on the food both appetizers and entrees. The staff(waiters, bartender, hotel staff) were so polite and helpful. My guests gave me so many compliments on how beautiful everything was at the Belhurst. They set up everything beautifully. We also stayed overnight in one of the rooms and it was perfect!! I would recommend the Belhurst to any bride!
My husband and I had an incredibly excellent experience at Belhurst. We had read some questionable reviews when we first hired them and were nervous about what would happen at first but were so pleased with the service we received. We worked almost entirely with Stephanie and she was so nice and attentive. She saved me so much work, accommodated our every need, and was so kind on top of it. The guests raved and raved about the brunch that we had for our reception there- there was so much food- it was a great value for the price we paid ($20 a person) and the quality of the food was fantastic. There were even "surprise stations" in various parts of the room that we did not plan or ask for but were an amazing hit! (The omelet station and the apple crisp station went over especially well). I just cannot say enough about the staff there, especially Stephanie this is one of the very best decisions we made for the reception.
Very pretty place but kinda to busy. Was a wedding right after ours and our guests at cocktail hour were being sushed. Also got kicked out of my hotel room even though they promised us late check out.
We had our rehearsal dinner with about 25-30 people in the solarium room at Belhurst. The setting was beautiful and the u-shaped table made for an intimate setting which was very nice. They were very attentive and everyone was very nice. The food was pretty good. The only major negative was right outside the room, was people eating dinner so you had to walk through another party to go to the bathroom or exit which was a little awkward.
We had an appointment at the salon for 5 people..There was so
