Bella Events Catering

We worked with Marsha for our wedding in September, and she was truly amazing every step of the way. In our early meeting she was happy to offer suggestions during our tasting and let us know about items that were not on their menu yet, which turned out to be amazing appetizers! Marsha was incredibly professional and was happy to work with us when we contacted her about guests with very specific dietary restrictions. At the wedding she actually made sure to identify who those guests were so they would get their appropriate meals. The food was INCREDIBLE! Our guests are still raving about it 2 months after the wedding! We are so glad we went with Bella Events, they really made our dinner reception exceptional.

We used Bella Events Catering for our wedding in May 2022. I cannot recommend them enough, the food was amazing, staff went above and beyond when attending to our guests, anticipating our needs, and were just all around friendly and kind. Marsha the owner is very communicative, responds very quickly, and was willing to ensure our special day ran smoothly. Between the care her staff provided for our event and the quality of food - If my husband and I could give her 10 star review we would!!!!

Marsha and her team at Bella Events made our wedding dreams come through. From the beginning, they recommended some fantastic seasonal menu items, worked to stay in our budget, were completely transparent on pricing, and even accommodated our two vegan guests without our asking. Bella Events also recommended the baker we ended up using! The day-of, our catering manager, Stephanie, and her team were efficient, courteous, and completely professional. We did BYOB at our venue and Bella provided the bartender, who kept all of our beverages chilled and was absolutely lovely. And the food. Oh my goodness it was so delicious. At the end of the night, the Bella Events team quickly and quietly cleaned and packed up, and ensured all the trash at the venue was taken care of. In summary, Bella Events went above and beyond our expectations. I could not recommend them enough to anyone in the Roanoke/Blacksburg area for their catering needs.

Absolutely horrible experience with this vendor!!!! We should have “stayed away” from the very beginning. This vendor was recommended through our venue, belle garden estate. We had difficulty with communication, we called the week of the wedding wanting to go over menu and the owner called back with a response of “we’re booked for that day”. My daughter called back and left a message stating that WE had her booked for that day. We felt like there was not enough selection and wanted added veggies, possibly a veggie tray or something. The owner assured us that there would be vegetables at every station. OH, that’s the real kicker…we had stayed from the very beginning that we absolutely did not want buffet style food, STATIONS only!!! After the wedding our guest we’re headed towards the pavilion and my husband noticed the food was set up buffet style!!!! They quickly arranged for stations but still looked like a buffet, not what we wanted or paid for. But the show must go on…after the wedding we noticed that an ENTIRE entree was left out!!! Guacamole was not refilled, stations not cleaned up after serving, staff was seen eating food. I called the Monday after the wedding, left a message and waited!!! Called again, waited. Finally the end of the week I got a response. The owner gave excuse after excuse as to why things were not the way we requested. At the end of a very unpleasant phone call she agreed that she would talk with her partner and see what they could come up with. She admitted that the entree was left out. I did as she requested, texted my address and email to her. NO RESPONSE!!! Finally I sent a text on June 28 at 3:01 in the afternoon asking what they had decided. A text was sent back stating that they were sending a check for $250 to compensate for chicken. I asked “what about veggies” that were left out…her reply “we put coke slaw on the taco station”…WHAT?? First we never asked for cole slaw and second THERE WASNT COLESLAW!! Then she proceeded to tell me that she added veggies to pasta primavera…ha! Doesn’t pasta primavera come with vegetables??!!! As of today I have not received reimbursement….I’ve called and texted…NO response. I explained that we hired her in good faith, we paid in full!!! So frustrated!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!
