r gowns back in December at the Salem, NH location. I worked with many amazing staff members along the way there and my stylist Zoe was outstanding. I had been apprehensive ahead I would feel like a plus-size bride, but it was quite the opposite. My alterations ended up being transferred to the Danvers store, and they too, were fabulous. Mercedes did meticulous work and Anthony always kept us laughing at our appointments. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Run, don't walk. Highly highly highly recommend!

It was big even after having it taken in (I did not lose any weight at this point) and the cups that were sewn in fell out before I even arrived at my venue. When I picked my dress up, it was also not properly steamed/pressed. Other than these issues, I loved my dress and the staff were all very kind!

Mercedes did literal miracle work on the custom piece for my dress - she made the "shrug" that I wore to our church ceremony, and it was perfection! We also got Francesco's (groom) tuxedo, the fathers, and the groomsmen's suits at the Salem location and had such a great experience with the team there as well. Francesco looked so handsome and felt so confident on our big day! My mother also got her Mother of the Bride dress at Bella Sera in Danvers and was very nervous because she is not used to wearing dresses, but you made her feel so confident and beautiful, and I am so happy she got as many compliments as she did! Everyone that we worked with was so kind and excited for us - they made us feel so comfortable! The entire Bella Sera team truly went above and beyond to make every person so happy and it was my favorite vendor/part of our wedding planning process to come into the shop to see everyone!

During my alterations appointment (where she just started cutting) I had asked for the fabric that was taken off so I could do something with that. I never got that. Once I got my dress back. I brought it to another tailor to add something else to the dress (someone I know and trust) and was told the bustle looks horrible and she will redo it. I called and requested the extra fabric and ended up with the owner yelling at me over the phone that what I was doing wasn’t fair and I should give them a chance to fix it. My mom went to collect the extra fabric which ended up not even being from dress. I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend. I know the owner is going to say this review is unfair but it is from my own experience. Very unprofessional and do not recommend.

She was able to assist me for two different appointments and ultimately helped me choose my dream dress. I didn’t feel rushed and was allowed to try on all dress options that I wanted as I narrowed down the search. I am so grateful to Bella Sera Bridal and would recommend them to any bride-to-be!

Cristiane explained everything so well and was incredibly kind and welcoming. She encouraged me to shop the racks myself and touch the fabric of different dresses to get a good sense for how they felt. She also listened closely to my description for the vision and vibe of my wedding, and made some excellent suggestions of dresses for me to try (while also letting me explore and choose things for myself). One of the dresses she suggested ended up being "the one", and I'm not sure that I would have thought to try it if she hadn't pointed it out, so I'm so very grateful! I also really appreciated that she took note of my budget and respected it - I never felt any pressure to look at things outside my price range and it never felt like she was trying to sell me on something I didn't want. I'm so glad I came here because I was really nervous about finding just the right dress and I'm so grateful that Bella Sera made it a fun experience!

As someone who has gained weight and has been self conscious Heidi did a wonderful job helping me find dresses to flatter the parts of my body I wanted to highlight and dress up the parts I was more shy about in a very kind and compassionate way. Many other stylists (at other locations) felt very salesy, telling you what you wanted to hear but Heidi was always very sweet and genuine. If you’re feeling a little lost or overwhelmed dress shopping, or really any other feeling, there is no better person to work with than Heidi💕 Another perk of Bella Sera as a salon is that you are able to quickly try on many dresses during your appointment and able to shop the racks yourself, both things that surprisingly many other bridal salons do not allow you to do. One appointment I had for a 90 minute time slot only had time to try on 3 gowns but with Heidi we efficiently zipped through numerous gowns to hone in the styles and materials I liked best. Additionally, they offer in house alterations so you don’t have to worry about a 3rd party messing up your dress. I cannot sing enough praises to Heidi and her team at Bella Sera, thank you for such a wonderful experience!!

Sarina was my stylist and she couldn't have done a better job. She looked over my intake form and considered my reference photos, and had the perfect dress picked out for me after talking to me for 5 minutes. She appropriately challenged me to try some styles that were different from what I'm used to, while still making selections that made sense for me based on what I requested. We tried on so many beautiful dresses that I loved, but ultimately I ended up going with the first one I tried on. Sarina is so talented and I am so grateful that I ended up at Bella Sera for my dress shopping experience.

s the first boutique I went to and I ended up going back after visiting quite a few other stores because I couldn’t stop thinking about one of the first gowns I tried on there. They helped me submit a request to the designer to customize my gown by adding lining to the top which helped me feel more comfortable on the big day. I also worked with their in-house alterations department after my gown arrived. My seamstress, Mercedez was just amazing! She worked with me through multiple fitting appointments to make various tweaks to my dress to make sure I felt totally comfortable and confident for my wedding day. She was also so reassuring throughout the process and made sure I felt beautiful in my gown! I’m so happy with the final product and really loved my gown from Bella Sera.

be warned! I found my dream wedding dress here and oh how I wish I took it and ran once it came in. From the very first alteration appointment I was disappointed because I felt the seamstress was very rude (my parents and friend both noticed this as well). I went back for another fitting and my dress had been taken in too much and was unable to be zipped up. The seamstress eventually squeezed it together enough to close but I was so uncomfortable and felt like I couldn’t take a deep breath without the dress busting open. She made a comment that I gained weight or that I must be on my period! (I hadn’t gained any weight, esp. in my chest where the dress was too tight.) When I told her I needed the dress to be taken out a little, she disagreed and told me it was fine. I told her I wasn’t comfortable and after some attitude and eye rolls she agreed to do it. When I went back, she had taken the dress back out completely to where it started so it was now too big again. She told me there wasn’t anything else she could do and that I need to buy dress tape and just stick the dress to me.. I was so upset I took the dress home and just cried. I tried it on again at home for my MOH and had been so focused on it being too big that I didn’t notice the straps were crooked as well as an uneven bustle. I paid over $800 in alterations for a beautiful dress to be completely ruined!!!! I desperately took it to another seamstress and she couldn’t believe the “disaster” of stitches that were inside my dress. Her words were “it was an absolute mess in there”. There wasn’t one thing the Bella Sera seamstress did right. My new seamstress had to fix my uneven straps, took it in the perfect amount, and also had to fix my bustle because it didn’t hang right. She asked if I had brought my dress to someone who just started sewing and was shocked that I had it done at a bridal shop!

I didn’t find my dress and she suggested looking at other styles. She grabbed some princess and ball gown types. Originally I didn’t want those as they were too puffy. But she assured me they can remove under layers to make it more of an a-line cut. She did awesome - I found my dress. It was totally different from what I originally had in mind. I went to a different salon before and they gave up after I tried on and didn’t like the chiffon options. Here I was actually struggling to pick between 3 different dresses from the same designer 😅 After buying my dress I had several seamstress appointments. She did amazing! I had so many alterations done and it was pretty complicated but she did what I wanted and it looked great! The only downside was my bustle - I wish I took a video of her putting the bustle back together (she undid it and then I left it like that). On the day of the wedding my friends struggled for 30 minutes trying to shorten my skirt with the bustle. They couldn’t figure out how to put it back up and it was not seamless when they were done (I think they did it wrong). So yea - for any seamstress - make sure you get plenty of videos of how to work the bustle!

My first appointment was great and it seemed like my seamstress understood my needs but when I went back the bra area did not fit and she kept ensuring it did so we had her make two sets of alterations in that appointment. When it came to the bustle, the entire thing was a mess. They said it would need 3 buttons but then upon doing the bustle realized it would need 7 buttons. And it was puckering in all weird spots and looked so uneven. They couldn’t defend the bustle, so they offered to re do it and they got me an appointment the next weekend again. Which I appreciate this is July and it’s super busy but they squeezed me in cause they know they did the bustle wrong. I come back the second weekend and the dress is still puckering and wrong. They removed 2 buttons and kept ensuring me it looks great. Now not only is the bustle coming out of where my anus is (as opposed to the tailbone where it should sit) but the dress is literally dragging on the ground. The whole point of a bustle is so that my dress isn’t getting stepped on on the dance floor all night. Throughout this whole process the manager came out and kept saying how it was fine but they really don’t listen and I took the dress home and I’m just so upset that I have to wear a dress where the bustle is coming out of my anus and dragging on the floor. Don’t go here for alterations they really don’t listen and it just felt like I was being taken advantage of the whole time. I feel like they ruined my dress and I’m now I’m a position where I’m less than 2 months from my wedding day and have no options.
