After all, our name means beautiful! Bella’s is a local family-owned business nestled in Lubbock, Texas. Cindy, manager of Bella’s, purchased an existing bridal boutique in 2000, renamed it Bella’s and began planning for her daughters to join her in the business. Now both daughters work as consultants and help to maintain Bella’s stellar reputation for customer care and quality selections.

d about if it would get in on time since the ship date was only 3 months before our wedding). Thankfully, it came in around the time given, and we got the bridal portraits scheduled and the alterations going (I didn’t need much, so this probably helped in the long scheme of things).
Secondly, they will not let you come in on Saturday to do anything, unless you’re there to find your dress. This was difficult for me since I lived out of town and work a full-time job. I had to take time away from my work to come up on a weekday to simply try on the dress and pay the remaining balance. I, also , was going to have to make another trip, on a weekday, to simply come pick up my dress...my mother had to go get the dress so I didn’t have to miss more work, and they tried to tell her that they normally don’t give the dress to anyone except the bride (I had already emailed Cindy to inform her that my mother would be getting my dress). Regardless, my mom made it back with my beautiful wedding dress.
Overall, they are great when it comes to finding your perfect dress! But other than that, they lack the common curtesy that should come with an establishment of this sort. They need to be able to work with their brides more, especially the ones who do not live within the Lubbock area.

ship on 7/31/2018 and 7-10 business days for shipping , the gown arrived in store on 8/1/2018 ( this gown was early to arrive) and email was sent out on August 1st 2018 letting her know the gown has arrived and balance is now due. Calandra email asking what was the options for payment, we emailed back letting her know that the gown could be paid for via phone and no trip was necessary. We do want all brides to try on their gowns before pick up as we want to insure the gown fits perfect. We suggest that brides pick the gown up the day of their alteration appointment as to not make an extra trip (not on Saturdays as this was stated in the original contract and the email sent advising the gown had arrived) . Bella's and all bridal shops can not call our factories and get updates as the factories have no info , only that the gown is on time. Bella's would have no reason to call on Calandra's gown as the gown arrived at the exact time the bride was told. We do understand that the bride is from out of town, although the bride was made aware in the original contract that Saturday pick-ups are not allowed due to the high volume of brides we see on a Saturday. This has been the operations of Bella's for over 20 years as all consultants are booked on Saturdays. We allow all brides to pick up gowns Monday-Friday 11am-6pm. Calandra's mom indeed did pick up the gown on Friday October 5th 2018 at 4:10 pm and the gown was released by Bella's management to her mom Sharla, Bella's does not release ANY property without an ID AND PERMISSION from the bride. Calandra did send in an email stating that her mom would be picking up the gown, which would make no sense why we would state Bella's policy when we had gotten permission from the bride. Bella's strives to make every bride feel special and we are sorry that you were not happy with our policy and procedures.

ginally picked, helped me to make that happen. The two pressings I got made the dress look fantastic and they took good care of it while it was in their storage.
My only complaint is the seamstress they recommended. I'll leave a full review on her page, but the recommendation came highly regarded and turned out to be a rather large disappointment. However, this is not at the fault of anyone at Bella's and I would absolutely shop at Bella's again for a special occasion.

f because none of my bridesmaids or family lived close to me, but my bridal consultant, Megan, helped make sure I didn't feel alone! Megan was so patient with me, helped me take pictures to send to my bridesmaids, and even gave me friendly advice on which dress she liked best.
Not only did I buy my wedding dress there but I also got all my bridesmaid dresses at Bella's. Megan was once again amazing handling all my issues with bridesmaid dresses (including all my bridesmaids living in different cities, not filling out paperwork correctly, and a bridesmaid dropping out last minute). All I had to do was give her all the names and numbers and the dress I chose.
I could not have asked for anything more from Bella's! Definitely the best bridal store in Lubbock!

They'll sit you down and have you look through a book that contains every single dress they have in stock (they keep them all tucked away in a closet so they're protected and kept in pristine condition for off-the-floor purchases) so you can really see what these dresses look like on someone, versus simply on a hanger. Once you select your dresses, your consultant will go get them for you and then you are led back to the bridal suites. They're the biggest bridal suites I have ever seen, complete with big, comfy couches for your entourage and a pedestal for you to stand on along with huge mirrors and an expansive area that allows everyone to move around easily. You get an entire hour and a half long appointment where you will get to try on as many dresses as you need to, and Bella's consultants are the most knowledgeable and experienced girls in the business. They know exactly what they're talking about, are willing and capable to answer any and all your questions, and make excellent suggestions. They really care about your style, budget, and all the other little details. They are flexible with payments and always try to make the process as straightforward and stress-free as possible.

STIC! Breanna was so attentive to my sister and had her budget in mind the whole time. My sister ended up picking a beautiful sale dress off the rack for $500 and taking it to their alterations lady, Gail, to have it brought down about 10 sizes. She looked stunning on her wedding day. After this experience I decided to refer another friend to try Bellas. I myself had gone into another store in town called, Bliss, and was disappointed with the whole store. Other friends of mine got their dresses from David's Bridal, so the choice was clear that my friend needed to check out Bella's. She was also pleased with her the dress she found and her experience. We even liked the bridesmaid dresses the best from there, out of the David's Bridal options. However, the bride had shown all the bridesmaids what styles we could order as long as it was coral. I ordered a cute Mori Lee straight skirt dress, the rest of the girls ordered full skirt dress. Since I was the only one that ordered something different they changed my order without even telling me. $200 later, out of my own pocket. The consultant stated that she called me to change the style of the dress and I didn't answer, but she also did not leave a voicemail. I was furious. Unfortunately, there was too little time to change the dress to a style that better suited me, but Bella's did offer to pay for the alterations to make the dress into a sweatheart. Luckily I trust the allterations woman they use, I am even bringing my bridal gown to her. This post may or may not help future buyers. But as advice to Bella's, yes this is the Bride's day, but please be respectful of people's money. All it took was a voicemail and I would have called right back to pick a style that better suited me. I do not know if I will refer to Bella's after this incident. If I do, I will probably just tell the Bride to look elsewhere for Bridesmaid dresses. To all brides: Go to Dillards, or somewhere else you can buy formal dresses. It is WAY cheaper.

e also understand this customer's frustration regarding the bridesmaid dress which was ordered for her to wear in a wedding because it was not one she chose. However, we feel that certain facts need some clarification. The bride and 4 of her bridesmaids came into our store October 20 and selected the dress each bridesmaid wanted. This bridesmaid and one other were not present at this appointment. Three styles were selected and the 4 bridesmaids present were measured for the correct size to be ordered. At that time 2 colors were also selected - mint and coral. Later, the other bridesmaid who was not present at the appointment dropped out of the wedding and the color was changed to coral only. On October 26 we contacted all the bridesmaids who had not yet ordered their dress because they needed to do so before October 29. That was the last day we would be able to order the dresses and have the manufacturer's guarantee that they would arrive before the wedding, even with a rush charge. This bridesmaid came in on October 26, ordered her dress and gave our consultant the style number she wanted ordered. The rest of the bridesmaids came the afternoon of October 28 and placed their orders.
When our purchasing department started to place the order the next day they realized the style number this bridesmaid had given us was not one of the styles we had listed for that event. When we were unable to contact this bridesmaid we called the bride and asked her to approve this style. After looking the style up on the manufacturer's website she said "no" and advised which style we should order. I want to clarify that BELLA'S STAFF DID NOT MAKE THIS DECISION. The order had to be placed by 3:30 p.m. (Mori Lee's closing time)that day so we went ahead and placed the order as the bride instructed because time was running out. If we had waited until the next day to place the order there was no guarantee that the dresses would arrive in time for the wedding. This bridesmaid called us Saturday, October 31, and advised she did not want the dress which was ordered and wanted to know if we could get it changed to one of the other styles which the bride had selected. Mori Lee is closed on Saturday so we called them Monday, November 2, to ask if they would change the order and they said "no". We then informed the bridesmaid of Mori Lee's response.
We feel this issue was something which should have been resolved between the bride and this bridesmaid before she placed her order. Since this is the bride's event, we went with her wishes. Again, we regret that the dress this bridesmaid preferred was not the one ordered, but a decision had to be made immediately (which the bride did)or all the bridesmaids might have been without a dress for the wedding.
With reference to the cost of the dress, because this group was so late placing their order they were charged a rush charge by Mori Lee (NOT BELLA'S) to guarantee arrival before the wedding.
I had a wonderful experience at Bella's. My consultant Megan was very attentive to my likes and dislikes. I would recommend Bella's to anyone looking for a wedding dress.

When I was about to walk out the door, the lady said “Let me see what we have on the sale rack in the back.” She came out with one bridal dress and two bridesmaid dresses that came in white; all still out of my budget. Willing to try to work with her, I tried on the Brides dress and somewhat smiled. Immediately, she began pushing the dress on me as if it were “the one.” When I began to second guess it, she put a $200 belt on it to help enhance the dress which made it even more out of my price range.
Not to mention, a few years ago, I got a Bridesmaid dress there and the alterations were expensive, took forever, and they never got it right until about 4 try’s later (all which I had to pay for). I thought I would give them a second chance by trying on bridal dresses there, which was a mistake.
I didn’t feel like a bride. I felt pushed in a corner with no options to what I really wanted. She pushed one actual dress on me and that was it. I was so disappointed with them that I remember walking out thinking I was never going to find the right dress. I don’t recommend them at all! If you actually want to feel like a Bride and not just a cheap dress up doll, I say go find another bridal shop. It’s not worth it!

The dressing rooms are big, clean, and there's comfy seats for your guests to wait in while you try your dress on. from Wyoming to Lubbock just for this occasion. When we explained this to the bridal consultant she made it so that we had a 3 hour block. It was very nice of her to work with our schedule and allow us more time. The only complaint i have is that no one notified me when my dress came in and shipped out to Wyoming. I waited and waited to hear from someone because they told me my dress would be in the first of March. Finally i called about March 10th and they said it had already been shipped out to Wyoming. I would have appreciated a call or email just notifying me that my dress had made it in. It is a large expense and a very important piece to a brides wedding. Other than that i am very satisfied with Bellas and would recommend it to anyone in Lubbock.

I am a size 2. They wanted to order me an 8. I understand dress sizes are different but it was ridiculous. I had to sign a paper saying I wanted to at least order a 6. It came in and it was huge!! I trusted that they knew what they were doing b...
ut I was wrong. I should have insisted they order much smaller especially since it was a corset back. Also, their customer service wasn't great.. They didn't want to help me with bridesmaids dresses and the person I worked with wasn't very friendly. They also thought I was dumb for shopping in feb when my wedding was in august. l store refuse to tell you who designed your dress because they don't want to you find it somewhere else cheaper. So I liked that they would tell you who each dress was made by. They were also realistic in the delivery time and were pretty accurate about when my dress would be delivered. They do not have alterations onsite. Although they work a lot with an alterations shop right next door, called Stitch-to-fit. I also ordered my bridesmaid dresses from Bella's. I had all my bridesmaids go in at the same time to pick out and order the dresses, and when it came time to get the measurements for the dresses, the associate just measured each girl out in the main lobby. I wish she would have taken each girl into a private dressing room because sometimes we girls can be embarrassed about our weight and don't want all the other bridesmaids to know what size you have to order. The staff got the job done, and they worked hard, but they weren't overly friendly. I also liked that you can store your dress at their shop and "check it out" as many time as you need to and take it back as many time as you need to till the big day. I also ordered my veil and had my shoes died from Bella's and they did a good job.

I have been making brides beautiful for more than 20 years. I started as a Bridal Consultant in 1996, became a Wedding Director in 1998. In 2001, with help and encouragement from family and friends, a dream became reality with the opening of Bella's. We are a locally owned and operated bridal/prom/bridesmaids and quince shop for over 20 years. Bella's has a reputation for providing 5 star service in the panhandle and with the new generation of Bella's family starting to take over we are really excited for what is in store for Bella's and Lubbock Texas as we grow with a growing community.
