Angie and her team were incredible to work with. We could not have put together our wedding day without them. Incredibly professional and enjoyable to work with. If you need a wedding planner or day-of wedding coordinator, I highly recommend working with Angie and her team.
Angie is THE BEST! She did my sisters wedding in 2020 and I knew when I got engaged 4 years later that she was who we needed. She made the day SO seamless and so simple. It wouldn't have been the day that it was without her!
We are so thankful and grateful that we were able to work with Belle Behind the Ball throughout the wedding planning process. Angie and Alex made our lives 1000% easier on our wedding day and took care of so many details that didn't even cross our minds. It's tough to imagine how the day would have gone without them and we are very glad we don't have to know. I had never used a travel agent before. I had no idea what it was all about.
The year my husband and I decided to plan a big anniversary trip we enlisted Belle Behind the Ball for help.
I will never not use her again. She thought of everything. All we had to do was show up and enjoy ourselves. Even the smallest details were taken care of. She even told me what to pack. Not being a frequent traveler, I can't imagine how our trip would have gone without her. We had never even taken a honeymoon and Belle made sure to add romantic details like strawberries and champagne to our room. We ended up having the perfect Annimoon!
One of the things I most appreciated was the map of the airport and tips on what to do. Not to mention when we got off the plane someone was already waiting with a sign that had our name. They took us through all the steps and right out to our pre-planned transportation.
I have recommended Belle Behind the Ball to others and 3 other couples are now using her and recommending their families. Who knew travel could be so care free and fun! I do now, that's for sure.
As a local Catering Sales Director, I know first-hand how demanding being a wedding professional can be. Angie never shows it! Her professionalism during planning, flawless execution and grateful spirit post event are all incredibly refreshing in this fast-paced world of weddings. Hiring Angie was 1000% one of the best choices we made for our wedding. We were involved with the process, but she was like a fairy godmother, sprinkling her magic and guidance to make the entire process smooth. Our own wedding was the most relaxing and unstressed wedding we had ever been to, and it was all because of Angie and her amazing team. She expertly handled all of the organization of vendors with our venue, Hotel Elkhart, and made sure everything was where it needed to be. We knew we could trust her and it was such a weight off of our shoulders. Everyone says something always goes wrong on your wedding day but to not let it ruin your day. We can genuinely say that our day was perfect because of Angie. She magically solved and handled anything that might have or did pop up without putting it on our minds. Our job was just to get married and enjoy the day while Angie and her team handled everything else.
A few examples:
I originally said I'd handle finding a make-up artist that matches my style preferences. After calling up more than a dozen locations and expanding out to artists within a 2 hour drive, I vented to Angie about the difficulty. After listening, she said that she had someone she thought I'd like and that she would text them really quick to see if they're available. 5 minutes later we had make-up booked, at half the budget, and it turned out better than I could have imagined.
During the ceremony, my bouquet went missing before the toss. Without even skipping a beat, Angie and our photographer went to the vendor table and hand-made an almost identical bouquet from the flowers on their table display. I couldn't tell the difference, and I never even knew that the bouquet went missing until the next day when my husband told me.
Stellar vendor recommendations:
We went with the photographer, DJ, flowers, makeup, and event rental recommendations she provided and would write positive reviews for all of them.
Scheduling was perfect:
She kept us on schedule, but did not make us feel stressed. She understood that some parts will take time from start to finish to move at the right pace. I.E. My background is in digital design, and I mentioned that I wanted to create my own designs/themes for all of the wedding material. Be it menus, escort cards, posters, signs, etc... She had me start that work about 2 months before it was due and every two weeks was checking in on individual pieces. She helped review and recommended critical pieces that I didn't know were needed such as making sure the meal orders were printed on the escort cards so that the servers could easily tell who had what meal.
Pricing:
Good wedding planners are worth every penny. From a sheer time perspective, between my husband and I, we saved at least 15 weekends worth of work. More importantly though, if you're spending tens of thousands or even into the 6 digits on a wedding you need to understand that it's all leading up to what is effectively 12 hours. On the day of, Angie and her team handled at least 10 hours of continuous work that would have entirely fallen on myself, my husband, and our family/friends. Spending 10-20% of our wedding budget to get 100% of our wedding is likely the best choice we could have made.

We used Belle Behind the Ball to plan our annual Finance Conference in Orlando (April 2023). This was a 4 day event with 40 participants from across North America. They handled every single detail, including room blocks, meeting rooms, welcome party, all meals (both on-site and off-site), scheduling entertainment and team-building activities and transportation. They took care of all the details and the event went off without any issues. Will definately use them for this event every year! I would highly recommend for planning corporate events.
Angie and her team were wonderful to work with and went above and beyond to help us plan our dream wedding. She was extremely responsive, attentive, and made herself available to attend vendor meetings with us. It is particularly helpful that she has a good relationship with many of the vendors in the area, as she was able to communicate directly with them. Her team was particularly helpful in the few months leading up to our wedding and on the wedding day - everything ran so smoothly and on time. She gave us great advice for any questions we had. I can't say enough positive things! I highly recommend hiring her as your planner!!
Angie and her staff did an excellent job for our son's spring wedding which fell on a very busy day on the ND campus! Her help in selecting vendors, organizing the destination wedding and day of coordination was priceless. On top of this she is just a very sweet, fun person to be around. I would highly recommend her as she is so knowledgeable and helpful from start to finish.
The best coordinator EVER! Angie and her team were flawless. I hired them after realizing there was no way I could do everything myself for our October 2022 wedding and they stepped right up to the plate. From hooking me up with my designer, to assisting with the day of timeline, they handled everything and if something did go astray that day, I was none the wiser ;). I highly recommend a coordinator for your day, but especially Belle Behind the Ball!

Hiring Angie for full service planning was the best wedding planning decision we made! We were planning from out of town but Angie’s knowledge of the area and attention to deal helped ensure everything went smoothly. She knows all the best vendors in the area and helped us secure an amazing team for our day. She made sure it was all about us and never imposed her own preferences, but when we were unsure about something she always had great suggestions. I would highly recommend Angie and her team. They were absolutely amazing and flawless for my daughters wedding. I had very high expectations as I am in the events industry. She was very responsive to all of my ideas and went above her duties to assist with decor and transforming the venue into our luxury wedding. Angie at Belle Behind the Ball is the absolute best! She helped us navigate the potential disaster of planning a wedding during Covid and then survive the surprise "Garth Brooks is taking over the city" during the actual wedding plot twist. She was able to recommend fantastic vendors (and either book them on our behalf or get them to actually answer my call!) She listened to my daughter's ideas and dreams and helped make them a reality. (I have to say that locating a mobile coffee vendor so that we could have espresso martinis ranks up there. But the florals, cake, hair and makeup, and band recommendations were amazing too!) Angie's knowledge of the City of South Bend (as well as the University of Notre Dame) meant that she understood what was going to happen (in terms of hotel availability as well as parking lot and road closures) when the Garth Brooks concert was announced. And thanks to her, we could plan accordingly. Finally I really appreciated that Angie did not try to upsell us. She can handle the most exquisite wedding, but she can also make any wedding just perfect for its budget. Thanks to her and her staff, our guests had a wonderful time and I was able to enjoy myself! Highly recommend!!
I cannot recommend Angie enough for any and all of your wedding planning needs! She was so attentive to detail and made communicating with other vendors an absolute breeze. Any plans or ideas you mentioned you might want in passing, she would get done immediately! Not only did she take the stress away from planning, but Angie and her team made my wedding day absolutely seamless. They were there to direct and guide vendors, guests, and my wedding party so that everything was in order and I did not have to worry about a thing. Angie is an AMAZING wedding planner. We had the best wedding ever and would not have been able to do it without Angie. For me - a "type A" person who wanted everything to be so perfect - I was nervous to let go of "control" of such an important day but it was PERFECT and I sincerely had 0 stress the day of our wedding. Angie coordinated all our vendors to be where they would be when they said they would be there and she ran the show so smoothly - if any hiccups happened, I had no idea (and still have no idea). Angie and Kathryn were so incredibly helpful on during our wedding weekend. We had a hangup during our rehearsal, but Angie is such a pro and helped us navigate it beautifully. Kathryn was so helpful day of that she even fixed one of our groomsmen’s wardrobe malfunctions! We initially questioned the purpose and value of a day of coordinator.... and now post wedding we get it. Thank you! It would not have been what it was without your help, especially during the challenging time of August 2020 with Covid restrictions. Angie kept everything on track and took the work off us so that we could really be present for our daughter’s special day. I think of all the small details that I would have been responsible for that she and her assistant took care of. She was easy to work with and coordinated communication with all the vendors. One of the first decisions we made a year before our daughter got married was to hire Angie. And it was the best decision we made! The team of vendors that Angie pulled together was fantastic and the way they all worked together was a marvel. Through the planning process, Angie made all of us (the bride, the groom, the parents) feel listened to and understood and we ended up with a wedding that was just what all of us wanted (even though we didn't all see eye to eye at the beginning!). The pandemic changed our plans greatly and Angie worked closely with us (by Zoom!) to adjust schedules and numbers and plans. The day of the wedding went so smoothly; Angie had us well prepared for what would happen and she handled the inevitable curve balls that came up. We had a beautiful day celebrating our daughter and her husband, and spending time with our family and friends. We highly recommend Angie!
Angie was absolutely incredible! She was always very professional, respectful, and punctual. Especially considering the conditions in which we planned our wedding (early 2020), her knowledge of the industry and of the South Bend vendors was invaluable! We also had a Bridal assistant, Becca, the day of who was absolutely phenomenal! Hiring Angie was the best first step we took to plan our daughter’s wedding. Let's forget the pandemic for just a second...even if things went exactly as we originally planned, working with Belle Behind the Ball would still be our first best decision. Angie’s experience, vendor partners, and mostly her calm demeanor and positive attitude made it all fun. Angie gave us many options and price points for hiring vendors - and held our hands throughout the process. Her laughter is contagious, which came in very handy as things started to go nuts.
I so appreciated Angie’s outreach when the shutdown started happening - her honesty, and her commitment to helping us sort through our options meant so much to me. Angie took so many of my panicky calls, even when they came at her in rapid succession :). She is a great listener and always had options for us. I also want to acknowledge how incredible this now seems to me, as Angie too, was reeling with a huge impact to her business. Belle Behind the Ball held us up, and that meant the world to us, as we so wanted to give our daughter and her husband the best day ever.
And it happened! While I always understood the role Belle Behind the Ball played in all of the planning and re-navigating (their Aisle Planner tool was so helpful), I do want to say that Angie and Becca were AMAZING the day of! Just their presence was a huge comfort – this team in action is something else. We wanted for nothing - everything we needed, they anticipated. I just got married in October and I am BEYOND grateful that Angie and her team were a part of it. When I started planning my wedding I knew I NEEDED someone to help me with all the details, especially the day of.

Angie has this cool, don’t worry I will take care of it attitude and that is exactly what you need during this stressful process. She works with so many different vendors, knows everyone and can get you exactly what you want.
We had to change our venue MONTHS before the big day. With Angie, it wasn’t a problem. She had a backup list ready to go in case something like this happened. We had to set up our own tables. With Angie, it wasn’t a problem. Her team brought my dreams to life. Everything was beyond perfect. My family is divorced and I knew there could be drama when the two families came together. I told Angie in advance and she was there, putting out fires, having my back, making sure MY DAY was exactly that, stress free and perfect.
I also can’t say enough about her assistants. They treated me like a princess. They were holding my flowers, train, anything I needed while making sure I was hydrated, laughing, every hair was in place, make up was flawless, the list goes on.
Long story short, if you want a stress free wedding, someone constantly in your corner, someone who really cares about your and bringing your dreams to life, Angie Anderson is your gal. She is worth every penny and I adore her so much! THANKS ANGIE!!!
Belle Behind the Ball is AWESOME! Angie and her team made sure my wedding went smoothly. I didn't feel well for part of my wedding so Angie changed the schedule and no one even knew, our night went on and I did not stress at all because Angie and her team made sure all of the other vendors knew about the schedule change. Having a bridal assistant was also very helpful throughout the day/night. I cannot express how CRUCIAL having a coordinator is! If you are questioning if a coordinator is necessary let me tell you it 100% is worth it!
I would recommend Angie and her team to anyone I know who is planning a wedding or special event. A few words to describe them: professional, timely, kind, knowledgeable, and just great to work with! I was initially against the idea of using a wedding planner because I was on a tight budget for my wedding. But my mother in law (who's in the wedding business) convinced me to have a day of planner. Well after vetting all the planners in the area, my MIL found Angie to be the best of the best. And she was! I used her day of services and it allowed me to truly enjoy my day without being stressed. Angie provided me with a lot of direction (because I'm laid back) while simultaneously addressing the concerns of my detail oriented mother in law. My wedding ended up being the most beautiful wedding I've ever been to. And Angie and her team helped make it happen! I highly recommend them!
Hiring Angie to be our month of wedding coordinator was hands down the greatest decision my husband and I made for our wedding! Angie is not only one of the kindest people we have ever met, but she truly is passionate about wedding planning. Angie was my right-hand gal throughout the entire month leading up to our wedding. Any question I had throughout the entire wedding planning process was answered immediately, and she was available to chat with me at all times during the day! She has incredible taste, and was able to help me make crucial wedding decisions with total ease. She completely made wedding planning less stressful for me as an anxious bride. We hired Angie for my daughter’s wedding and it was the best decision we made! She helped us during the planning process, with vendors, and special touches that made my daughter’s wedding absolutely beautiful! There are many reasons to hire Angie and I feel two of the best reasons are for the day of and for the mother of the bride during planning! I wanted everything to be perfect the day of the wedding and stress free for my daughter (and me!). It was so nice to be able to enjoy the whole day and not worry about one thing. Angie and Kathryn took care of it all and we didn’t have to worry about any details. Angie did a fantastic job and my daughter’s wedding was absolutely perfect! Choosing Belle Behind the Ball for our day-of coordinating was one of the best decisions we made. Angie and Kathryn were incredibly helpful and responsive and we found great value in their services. I was on the fence about whether or not to hire a day-of coordinator and in hindsight, I can imagine how I would have made it through the day without them! Its very possible that my family was one of the most difficult weddings EVER! We had hundreds of people all coming from out of town and all with an opinion. On top of that, we're full of ideas but short on organization. Angie rolled with it all without missing a step. She pulled off all our crazy ideas without a hitch (think trolly tours for our guests of ND campus and a separate in-between party between the ceremony and reception.) Angie navigated our big personalities and made wedding planning, which could have been totally overwhelming, FUN. Trust me, if she can rock my wedding she can rock yours.
Angie is an absolute pleasure to work with! We planned the wedding from out of town, so having someone in the area was incredibly helpful. During the planning, Angie had great recommendations, and was open to finding vendors in the right price range. The day of the wedding was when it really paid off to have Angie and her team. I loved knowing that my family didn't have to worry about any aspect of the day, but could just enjoy themselves. Our wedding truly felt stress-free, and I would attribute that to Belle Behind the Ball's hard work! I would definitely reccommend them to others, especially for the day-of!
I recently was the mother of the bride at a wedding at Notre Dame in South Bend. If you want someone who knows the vendors and venues, guides you through boutonnières and bouquets, coordinates timelines and toasts, then Angie needs to be on your team. She helped us actually figure out what we wanted and that in itself was no easy task! And then she executed my daughter and son in law's special day with expertise and calm. We were all long distance and she met with us in person several times and then kept us updated with emails and phone calls. She knows all the vendors and can advise on how to get the most for your money. She had a great connection for the printing... and everything else your heart desires. Angie or her assistant was with us the entire day of the wedding always checking in with us and taking care of multiple details we never were bothered with. As one other MOB who had worked with Angie advised me, Angie is a gift you give to yourself so that you and your family can have a well planned, well executed event that you can fully enjoy.
I hope this doesn't come off as overly effusive, but... Angie totally came to our rescue. She is the Beyonce of wedding planners and her reviews, rightfully so, are glowing. Most seem to come from the types of brides armed with planning binders and stacks of post-it-marked magazines. If you are a type-A bride, kudos, I am (still to this day) jealous of your planning capabilities (and you, too, should hire Angie!). But this review is for the low-key type-B brides hesitant to hire a planner or coordinator over erroneous fears that that might lead to an overly stylized or fussy event. Angie is too astute of a listener and skilled at reading people for that to happen.
My husband and I were *struggling* to plan our South Bend wedding from TX. We had what felt like a million details left to attend to without nearly enough time. Angie graciously stepped in, took the time to understand our vision, and then turned it into an even better reality. Her patience, warmth, and work ethic were apparent from our first phone call.
On our wedding day, my husband and I were able to be fully present and soak in the joy of the day. We weren't stressing over details we couldn't even see coming or the inevitable snafus-- just as importantly, neither was my co-planner-extraordinaire mom subjected to shouldering those burdens. Angie seamlessly coordinated our wedding and we couldn't be more grateful!
We hired Angie and her team for our daughter's wedding. Both the bride and groom live in Houston and were struggling to plan a wedding in South Bend. Angie came to our rescue. She is definitely the most organized, kindest and professional planner you will ever meet. My wife and I hired Angie for our wedding at The University of Notre Dame and could not have been happier with her. Even though we were planning remotely from Los Angeles, she took the time to really understand us as a couple and our vision for the big day. She was professional, organized, and made sure to break up the planning process in a way that kept my wife and I calm and confident. She always placed our interests first and ensured we were getting EXACTLY what we wanted. The day itself went swimmingly and Angie was absolutely the reason we enjoyed our dream wedding. If that wasn't enough, she planned our entire honeymoon to two Hawaiin Islands. We haven't stopped talking about that trip and itinerary since returning. It was such a treat to again have all the things planned that we wanted to do, without having to worry about a single logistical detail. Angie Anderson went above and beyond our expectations and I cannot refer her any more strongly.
My husband and I hired Angie for our day-of coordinator for our October wedding, and we are so very pleased! She was sweet, fun, and professional. There were a few things that I was freaking out about at the reception, but Angie totally took care of the situation and my nerves! My mind was at ease (at least as much as it could be) knowing she was there for me. She came prepared with a stock of bridal needs, and even went out and bought eyelash glue when my maid of honor's eyelashes were falling off, magically doing so without missing a beat! My daughter's wedding day turned out absolutely perfectly! Angie did a fantastic job. I appreciated her telling me at the cocktail hour to just relax and she would handle everything – I did need that reminder after a year of trying so hard to be on top of every detail. We appreciated her attention to all the details the day of the wedding. I just have no criticisms at all and I can’t think of anything that could have been better. It was worth every penny.
My daughter and I were planning her Basilica wedding and since we were from out of town we had many extra events planned for our guests on the wedding weekend. I decided I needed extra help on the day of the wedding. I contacted Angie and she was so professional and very personable. She met with me and my daughter a few days prior to the wedding to discuss the details. On the day of the wedding she arrived to check on the bride and bridesmaids. I asked her to be in charge of the "In Between'' party at our townhouse after the ceremony and before the reception. When our guests arrived after the ceremony she had everything set up and it was so nice to be served at our party instead of running around and serving others... I was able to mingle with our guests! Angie took care of hanging the trolley bridal party bus sign and letting us know where it was parked. Then at the reception it was wonderful to have someone to check on us regarding drinks, etc. and to keep things on schedule at the cocktail hour, etc. She even knew when to collect my daughter's veil. All nice extras that allowed me to thoroughly enjoy the day and evening. At the end of the night Angie packed up the cake knife, card box, etc. and took them directly to our vehicle Angie was worth her weight in gold! Whether you need someone for the day of or for the entire planning process, I would highly recommend her.
Our first decision made post-proposal was that we needed to hire a wedding planner ASAP. I was in the middle of grad school and knew that I would be finishing up a little more than two months before our wedding date. We knew we needed someone unique and able to handle both of our personalities without being scared off. From the jump, Angie was on board and would let us brainstorm, envision, and plan without interrupting or tell us that any of it was impossible, when in reality, we should have been interrupted and told to pump our brakes. But she let us be. Angie literally has the patience of a saint. She assumed a lot, if not all, of the responsibilities that came along with wedding planning. She researched ideas, corresponded with other vendors, and fought for the best prices available. Her “to do” lists that she provided to us throughout the year and a half we spent planning were more than helpful and really kept us on task. I can’t begin to tell you how many times we told ourselves, “We would have never thought of that” had it not been for Angie. Although it’s cliché, my husband and I both agree that our wedding could not have been anywhere near as perfect and beautiful as it was without Angie. Having her and her reliability really allowed us to spend time with friends and family and focus on our future together, rather than all of the tedious tasks that needed to be done. She truly listened when we met and it showed with the final product. Our perfect wedding that we had envisioned became a reality on July 19, 2014 and we have Angie and Belle Behind the Ball to thank for that! We will forever be grateful for her never-ending patience, creativity, kindness, and assertiveness; all which were crucial in making the biggest day of our lives go off without a hitch!
I paid for the full planning package, but I really didn't need it. I thought I wouldn't have enough time to do everything since I was planning a wedding out of town and couldn't physically be there. That was not the case. If anything she really pulled through for me the week of the wedding by keeping everyone on time, moving things that needed to be moved, any items forgotten were delivered to where they needed to go, making sure the vendors were on time and in place, answering questions for any bridal party and guests, ensuring the family members didn't have much to worry about and taking great care of them, watching and moving the gifts to the car when it was time, etc. I didn't realize how much I needed that! When the day of arrives you're trying to enjoy yourself, but also handle a million things in the background that come up. She makes herself worthy by taking off that extra headache of trying to organize the last minute things that happen, cause they surely do happen! I am very grateful I hired her.
Angie at Belle Behind the Ball was amazing! I don't know what I would have done without her. I hired her for my "day of" services, but it was basically a "week of" service with Angie (she also does full wedding planning and tea parties). Angie made my wedding perfect. We had the reception at my house so basically everything we did was DIY. I was so stressed by the week of my wedding because if anything went wrong it was pretty much my own fault. Angie was there for me to run around and take care of everything I was worried about. I was still a little nervous when I left the house at 1pm knowing the next time I would see it would be at the reception. I was NOT disappoinited! Everything came together and looked perfect! Angie was amazing at getting everyone where they needed to be on time, fixing last minute issues and reminding me to eat :) Angie even ended up clearing our guests plates when there was a misunderstanding with the caterer. The reason we chose Angie was because the "well known" planner in town never returned my calls or emails when I tried to contact them. (Actually, now that I'm thinking of it - they still have never contacted me). I contacted Angie next and she responded immediately. I knew this was the kind of service I could expect from her from then on and she did not disapoint. If you are in the area, choose Angie!
