About this vendor
A Stately Mansion in a fairy-tale setting
Bellevue Hall is the ideal choice for elegant, lavish wedding ceremonies and receptions or charming, intimate gatherings and rehearsal dinners amid the towering column entrances, magnificent Formal Garden, sprawling sculpted lawns, stylish dining rooms, elaborate marble fireplaces, sophisticated wood-paneled library, and enormous central foyer with its grand staircase; including a state-of-the-art tent to seat 250. This exquisite must see property offers a diversity of options minutes from I-95 across the PA border!
The originally named, Woolton Hall castle was completed 1855 and occupied by several area turn-of-the-century tycoons as they purchased summer or suburban homes starting in the mid 1800’s soon after the 1838 completion of the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Railway. The duPont Family owned the property from 1893 and made several modifications along the way to eventually become this notable Greek Revival mansion to resemble Montpelier. It was purchased by The State of Delaware in 1976 and became the showpiece of Bellevue State Park; now managed exclusively by Jeffrey Miller Catering

We had an excellent experience with JAM Catering. The food was fresh and delicious, and the tasting helped us confidently choose our menu. Our guests were highly impressed with the food quality.
Madeline Sader, our event coordinator, was fantastic to work with—fun, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. She guided us through the planning process smoothly, always quick to respond and offer helpful suggestions. Her expertise really showed, and she made the entire experience enjoyable.
Bellevue Hall is a standout venue with a distinctive charm. The spacious bridal and groom’s suites, along with access to the mansion, grounds, and permanent reception tent, provide ample space and a picturesque setting. It offers the feel of a destination wedding without the need for travel.
We were also able to do several walk-throughs at Bellevue Hall and JAM Catering’s optional upgrades for linens, tables, and décor were a great way to customize the space. We added some fun extras like a BBQ station, a pretzel jar, and a gelato cart, which were big hits with our guests.
The staff on the day of the event was excellent. They kept everything running on time, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the day without worrying about the schedule. The service during the event was attentive and efficient, making sure everything went smoothly for us and our guests.
Overall, JAM Catering delivered on both quality and service, and we’re very happy with how everything turned out. We would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to elevate their event with great food and professional service.
We visited this venue when doing a tasting with JAM Catering for one of the other venues they serve. The food was fantastic and the venue would be great for a large gathering. The first floor of the estate is very customizable with multiple large rooms.
We are so excited to have our wedding at Bellevue Hall! We love how the different spaces flow together - from the delightful gardens, lovely mansion with DuPont history inside, and the charming permanent tent. As a nice bonus, choosing Bellevue Hall as our venue also supports Delaware State Parks!
Any questions?
Bellevue Hall is an extraordinary wedding venue, and we are so excited to have our wedding there! The staff have been incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring that all details are addressed. The gardens for the ceremony are absolutely gorgeous, and the permanent tent means that we avoid needing to rent a tent, which is so expensive. We love the mansion's history and that we're supporting Delaware State Parks with our wedding!
My fiancè and I found Bellevue Hall through the knot website. We were looking for an estate venue where we could host our intimate micro wedding. Being from NJ, we could only sort through the tons and tons of ballrooms and found very little individuality.
After a family member suggested we turn our search to Delaware, we were thrilled to find Bellevue Hall as our first choice. Our tour of the grounds was beautiful and very thorough. We booked instantly. JAM hosted a beautiful tasting a few months later where we got to try the entire menu (the food was lovely and tasted so good!) We were more than excited that we booked with JAM. We weren't disappointed by the amazing food even though we were nervous about how it would taste. The venue is customizable. You can literally get married at any space in the estate that is so full and rich with history. We've gotten to customize our table linens, napkins, silverware, and cups. This venue gives Bridgerton vibes with a Pride and Prejudice feel which was what we were looking for! We couldn't be more ecstatic about our summer wedding at Bellevue Hall!
Bellevue is a gorgeous venue at the historic mansion with a gorgeous outside tent for receptions. I got the privilege of attending a wedding there before my own and it was great to experience it as a guest. Jam is super organized, they have a great rain plan, and the food is delicious. We had our group tasting recently and the food was amazing. It was hard to choose. I’m so excited for our wedding coming up this April. Our coordinator has helped us step by step and the all inclusive experience has taken a lot of stress and pressure off of the two of us.
If you are planning a Delaware wedding, Bellevue is a must-see! The ceremony site has a big beautiful tree, a gazebo, and a long, dramatic bridal entrance. Your guests get to have cocktail hour inside the rooms of the estate and spilling out onto the patio. There is even a climate-controlled tent for an outdoor (but weather friendly) reception! What more could a wedding guest want?
My wedding is coming up and the staff have been very communicative about expectations and have helped us clarify our own needs as well. Our tasting went beautifully and our meetings have been productive. I'm excited to see JAM bring our vision to life at Bellevue!
Bellevue Hall and Jeffrey Miller Catering gave us the most spectacular wedding that we dreamed of! Veronica and her team planned an amazing wedding. They were sometimes hard to get a hold of and a few minor details on the day were not what we had planned, which is the only reason I took off a star. However the end result was so worth it! The venue was so beautiful for our unique fall catholic garden ceremony. It was followed by amazing food and drinks at our cocktail hour and reception. Our guests raved about the food and our signature drink and had an amazing time! Thank you so much to everyone who made our wonderful wedding happen!
We just booked Bellevue Hall for 2025 and are so excited!! We spent a couple of months making this decision given the investment, and Veronica at JAM Catering was so accommodating. In addition to touring the location with her, she kept in touch with us via email and phone to walk us through any questions we had. We had a private tasting with Kwame which was absolutely delicious. Everything was so fresh and he was able to tell us where all of the ingredients were sourced. Can't wait for the planning process for our special day to begin! I know we'll be in great hands with JAM!
Pros: Great food, beautiful venue. Day of staff including the bartenders were awesome. Option to get ready in the mansion beforehand is awesome (but does cost extra). The tent has a ton of space to setup what you want.
Cons: Management is disorganized. We corrected the spelling of our names multiple times during the process, including on contracts and in emails. We were assured it was corrected in the system, and then it was still spelled wrong at every cocktail station and all the menu cards on at the tables. We picked silver linens, but they came in the day before as the wrong color and we were told the only substitute option was camel. Those were the only major things but still a little disappointing.
We are getting married on 9/1/23 and are getting so excited. We are working with Veronica and she has been so helpful in answering all of our questions and helping us execute our vision! We can't wait for our day so soon!
Our recent wedding at Bellevue Hall was even more perfect than we could have imagined.
We booked our May 2023 wedding back in September 2021 and honestly had decided to look at Bellevue Hall simply because it was so convenient to our home --- we literally walk our dog in Bellevue State Park quite frequently. We really didn't expect to fall in love with it the way that we did, but it really checked all of our boxes. We loved that we could plan a beautiful outdoor garden ceremony, but they still offered an equally beautiful rain plan inside the gorgeous mansion. We loved the gigantic bridal and groom suites with perfect natural light and gorgeous decor. We loved that our cocktail hour could utilize both the outdoor patio and the first floor rooms of the beautiful mansion. We loved that the tent has a permanent floor and comes with decorative lights and chandeliers. We especially loved that the Delaware location allows it to be tax free! After our initial walkthrough, we really knew that Bellevue Hall was the right choice for us.
The planning process was a bit challenging due to staffing changes within the venue and at JAM. Our primary contacts switched multiple times, and at times it was challenging to get in contact with someone. We were lucky to have our own wedding planner who was persistent in her follow-up calls and in making sure none of our details were missed, so it did work out, and our eventual assigned JAM planner, Nicole, was very sweet.
Our actual wedding day was perfect, and the mansion and flowering gardens were the perfect backdrop for our ceremony. Our tent looked beautiful as well. I can't wait to see our full gallery of photos from our photographer.
Bellevue Hall works exclusively with JAM Catering whose food was one of the highlights of the evening. It was important to us to offer food that was flavorful, not boring, and they really delivered. Our hors d'oeuvres were delicious, our custom Rhubarb Gin Fizz signature drink was delightful, and our entrees were well cooked and well seasoned. I especially appreciated that they offer a variety of unique vegetarian entrees --- the black bean cake was scrumptious and so much better than the bland cheese pasta I've seen at other weddings. They also included our cake in the package, which was both beautiful and delicious.
All in all, we were very happy with our choice to get married at the gorgeous Bellevue Hall.
This was the second venue we visited and after the first, we were feeling disheartened and concerned about whether or not we were going to find the perfect place for us. Once we arrived at Bellevue, we both had that epiphany moment! When we concluded the visit, we exchanged glances and simultaneously exclaimed, "This is it!" We could both envision the possibilities, and it filled us with exhilaration to proceed in this arduous process. Veronica greeted us with infectious enthusiasm and profound expertise that assisted us in choosing Bellevue. She epitomized pure bliss, and everything simply felt so impeccable. Eagerly anticipating our wedding this November!
Bellevue Hall is the perfect wedding venue for a romantic and whimsical wedding vibe. The mansion adds a touch of gorgeous history and architecture too. In house catering, beautiful ceremony sites (garden and grounds are very well kept and theres the flexibility to choose your ceremony location to fit your preference), and a gorgeous tent for the reception. This place has it all and the staff has been a pleasure to work with thus far. We are looking forward to having our wedding here in Fall 2023!
Response from the Vendor on 05/16/2023
Thank you, Miranda. We are so excited to host you in the Fall. See you then.
Our wedding, which took place at Bellevue Hall in late October, was everything we wanted it to be and more. JAM managed beautiful venues and generally receives high marks for the quality of food they provide, but our experience with the company left much to be desired.
Pros
Space was amazing and worked so well for our group
Access to the property early to get ready was so helpful for getting ready
We received a lot of positive feedback on the food
Cons
Soup was ice cold by the time guests sat down.
The shrimp passed appetizer was served with no toothpicks…guests were supposed to just grab them with their hands which was unsanitary and honestly pretty gross.
Our “planner” was the most frustrating aspect of our relationship with JAM. She made the entire process infinitely more difficult and actively caused us a ton of stress. Over the course of our months-long planning, she consistently messed up details over email including forms, requests, etc.
More than once she looped us in with another bride and then was confused about why we were having conflicting responses. She also occasionally sent us documents that belonged to other couples, had the wrong venue listed, etc. The other bride and I were emailing on the side about how insane the process was. As someone whose job seems to be very reliant on email planning, she lacked basic understanding of how to conduct organized and efficienct digital correspondence. At one point, I attempted to use Google Docs to share our various planning documents given how many issues she had with version control, but she refused. It almost felt like we were being pranked.
JAM is generally (I believe intentionally) opaque about plus-up costs and additions to your wedding. Throughout the planning process, we received at least three versions of add-on pricing, and our planner never quite knew which was accurate. In another example, we paid extra to substitute Blue Moon for another beer…not only was there Blue Moon at the wedding, but guests got a lot of conflicting information about what drinks were available and there seemed to be very little of the beer we actually paid extra for. This was just one of the many details that seemed to get ignored or lost in translation.
We are not local, so my parents coordinated a tour of the grounds to get a sense of where we would locate various aspects of the night. The JAM contact that was set to give them that tour never showed up. It was very clear that our time and comfort were not important to them.
Staff put out a drink shelf for happy hour that included a hideous decal that noted “in celebration of” but had no names on it? We were never asked if this was something we wanted, and thankfully the professional planner we hired spotted it and had it taken down.
While I’m sure that she was working on multiple weddings simultaneously, we felt like we were not at all a priority to her, and that she did not appreciate how important of a day this was for us and our families. As someone who works in a client service industry, I would find this level of client service and general disorganization completely unacceptable if it came from my own account managers.
While our wedding was ultimately a huge success, it was despite the overall level of service JAM provided, not because of it. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to use one of their beautiful venues to save themselves a lot of grief and hire a professional planner to manage interactions with JAM.
We looked at a lot of venues in PA and DE, but ultimately decided on Bellevue Hall because there was so much included and taken care of just by working JAM Catering. They provide an event designer who will be onsite the whole day of the wedding. The staff also is incredibly friendly and caring. A big plus for both the bride and groom are the wonderful getting ready rooms. My bridal party has tons of room to get our hair and makeup done onsite and the guys have a billiards table for entertainment. Recently, TVs have also been installed to keep the group entertained while everyone gets ready. We also are very excited about the food from JAM Catering, as they take everyone's dietary restrictions into consideration while providing a farm-to-table experience. The grounds are also gorgeous in the summer/fall with all the beautiful flowers blooming.
My fiancé and I toured Bellevue and immediately knew it would be the perfect venue for our wedding. The mansion is beautiful and will be a perfect backdrop for our ceremony. The inside is stunning and you can feel the history all around you. The tent is huge and can fit our large wedding. Our wedding is in September and we can't wait!
Bellevue Hall was love at first sight for both my fiance and myself. I love the multiple areas that will make each part of our day a seperate special experience and my fiancé loves the historical value and intricacies of the property. The staff that we have encountered so far have been very accommodating. Our wedding planner that comes along with the wedding package has been a huge help and is always willing to answer any questions we have. JAM catering is top tier in the industry. I can't wait to share this experience with our guests on our special day!
My fiance and I were looking for a very specific venue in Delaware, with diverse spaces for each part of the wedding, an outdoor ceremony, and big enough for over 150 people. We fell in love with Bellevue immediately upon visiting. The getting ready suites have been a game changer in terms of logistics planning and we've been so impressed by all of the food (so important at a wedding). Special shoutout to Veronica, our wedding coordinator who has been so supportive every step of the way! I couldn't recommend visiting and considering Bellevue Hall more for your special day - we just can't wait for our wedding this Fall and know it will be perfect.
Stunning venue! The JAM Catering team is amazing as well. We had our tasting a few months ago and the entire staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was also amazing! Everything tasted great and could tell a lot of thought was put into each dish - they were complex and not your standard wedding food. The chef came around to see us after the meal and he was so kind and thoughtful. We can't wait for our wedding at Bellevue in the Fall.
Absolutely gorgeous! No matter where on the property you choose to have your wedding I promise it’ll be stunning. Both inside and outside is perfect so whether you get married in summer or winter you’ll have a beautiful wedding. Everyone I so nice and so easy to work with, they really care about your happiness!
Bellevue Hall is an incredibly beautiful venue! We fell in love right away with the mansion, outdoor stone-walled garden, and luxurious tent on-site. For us, Bellevue felt like an experience and a place we could truly spend the whole day enjoying our venue without traveling from one place to the next. The bridal and groom suites in the mansion are a perfect place to get ready before the ceremony. The outdoor garden is a beautiful ceremony location. Lastly, the tent on site is lined with bistro lights and already has a greenery installation!!! It could not get better here. Hope you all pick Bellevue too, you will not be disappointed.
We were so incredibly impressed by Bellevue's Amazing service and the wedding we were able to create. The wedding turned out to be everything and more than we could ever dream. Tom and his staff truly gave us the most amazing wedding day possible. Our family and friends were so impressed by the venue's beauty, holiday decor, the food, and the service. Thank you so much Bellevue Hall!

From the first time I saw Bellevue Hall before I ever saw the inside of the mansion I said, "That' where I want to be married. Te wedding venue is BEAUTIFUL! The house is magnificent and it's definitely has a magical feel to it I felt like my dream of a Cinderella Wedding is really going to happen. The property is lovely with plenty of space to host your ceremony with a gorgeous library for an indoor ceremony space. They only do one wedding per day at Bellevue and you can rent the house for the whole day so you can get ready there without the hassle of rushing around preparing to arrive on time. The venue comes with an in-house catering company, Jeffrey A. Miller Catering, whose focus is on fresh, farm-to-table food. They don't have set menu packages you are required to choose, which means your wedding is fully customizable! I love it! It's been an amazing experience working with the team at Bellevue to put together our dream wedding we cant wait to get married in our magical mansion.
We are so happy to have Bellevue Hall as our wedding venue next year. The entire staff there and at JAM have been so helpful and kind with all of our questions! The venue is absolutely beautiful and we cannot wait for our guests to try the delicious food and drinks JAM has to offer!
We loved Bellevue Hall on our first visit, and our wedding coordinator, Tom made it so special and personal for us! Bellevue allowed us to customize so much about our wedding day and they made our ideas a reality! We utilized Buttercup, the JAM Floral Partner, for our decor and they made the space look so incredibly beautiful, even better than we could have imagined! They brought our classic and rustic dreams to life, and our guests could not stop complimenting the decor. The food was also incredible, seasonal and fresh, and catered to our guests' strict dietary restrictions very well. Our guests could not get over how good the food and the desserts were! All in all, our expectations were greatly exceeded for our wedding day, and we are so happy to have been able to work with JAM Catering at Bellevue Hall!
Our wedding day at Bellevue was absolutely magical! The tent and mansion were perfect for a warm summer evening. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend!
From the very virst time I saw Bellevue Hall Tented reception pictures, I was in love. the pictures, though absolutely gorgeous, DO NOT do this property justice. When we walked into the mansion and explored its historical rooms with Tom, I knew I was in the venue I'd be married at. not only is the property we preserved and so we'll taken care of, but in Tom's hands, you will be taken care of as Bride and Groom. Venue Shopping Couples, yourself a favor and get married at Bellevue Hall
Bellevue Hall is an absolutely stunning venue! We cannot say enough great things about how beautiful it is and how amazing everyone there has been in our planning process. Tom, the venue manager, was so nice and welcoming and made us feel so comfortable and excited to plan our day. Everyone at JAM catering has been absolutely wonderful in assisting us with planning and all of our questions. We have no doubt our wedding will be stunning with amazing food and drinks and a great time to be had by all!
Bellevue Hall is STUNNING! The venue is magical, and the gardens and the perfect setting for a ceremony. Tom and is team could not be more accommodating or helpful!
We are 24 days from our wedding and could not be more excited to have our big day at Bellevue Hall! We've been wedding planning for 3 years now, after postponing multiple times due to COVID. Just months away, we were not feeling confident that our indoor wedding was the best option. Bellevue Hall and Tom, the venue manager, saved our wedding!!! They scheduled us in very quickly for a tour, we instantly fell in love with the outdoor ceremony, beautiful tent they already have on the property, and the mansion, which is perfect for getting ready that day. Thanks to Tom, JAM catering, and the team, they've worked with us to basically plan this wedding in less than 4 months. At our most recent meeting at Bellevue Hall, we walked by a couple that said they got married there 10 years ago, and their guests still talk about how amazing it was. We cannot wait to say the same!
We cannot say enough about how much we live this venue! It is beyond beautiful and the team is so helpful! They only do one wedding per day at Bellevue and you can rent the house for the whole day so you can get ready there, eliminating the need to go from place to place. The venue comes with an in-house catering company, Jeffrey A. Miller Catering, and they have a ton of options and you can customize the menu to fit your needs. It has been such an easy process and we are so grateful for all of the JAM team’s help!
Oh my gosh, talk about a GORGEOUS wedding venue! The second we walked in to tour Bellevue Hall, we knew it's where we wanted to get married! The house is magnificent and truly has a magical feel to it. The property is lovely with plenty of green spaces to host your ceremony outside (there's also a gorgeous library for an indoor ceremony space). They only do one wedding per day at Bellevue and you can rent the house for the whole day so you can get ready there, eliminating the need to run around so much. The venue comes with an in-house catering company, Jeffrey A. Miller Catering, whose focus is on fresh, farm-to-table food. They don't have strict packages you have to adhere to, which means your wedding is fully customizable! I love it! It's been an amazing (and easy) experience working with the team at Bellevue to put together our dream wedding--we are SO excited to get married here!
We were married this summer at JAM catering's newer venue, Bellevue Hall. To start the bridal suite was amazing, my makeup artist and hairstylists commented on how wonderful it was to have four vanity mirrors and swivel chairs. Tom Covello, the venue manager, was outstanding to work with, he seamlessly brought my reception vision to life. Tom and the rest of the JAM catering team were extremely flexible and despite ever-changing weather they were able to pivot easily. The food was also outstanding, I was blown away by the short rib and coriander chicken, it was not your typical blasé wedding food. Finally, the venue setting itself was a huge hit: the beautiful former du Pont masion clearly steals the show but it is complemented by a fantastic permanent tent (that even has AC if needed!), and the rustic touch of an equestrian center offered the perfect backdrop for our fairy tale wedding. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience with Tom Covello and JAM catering!
We got married on 5/1/2021 at Bellevue Hall and couldn't have asked for a better wedding.
Tom Covello, the wedding coordinator and event extraordinaire was a God send and helped planning a wedding remotely from across the country as easy, stress-free as possible (despite of pandemic rescheduling and general uncertainty). He knows how to ask just the right amount of questions without overwhelming you and customize something that is magical, budget-conscious that will make your special unforgettable. He truly wants to help your event be successful.
Venue: Bellevue Hall is a one-of-a-kind historical treasure. The entire grounds inside, outside suited all of our needs. Not to mention they have amazing groom and bridal suites. The place is a photographer's dream.
Food: This is what sold us - menu was customizable and not your typical selection. Our guests raved about the food and left with a full belly. Your catering also comes with a cake.
Buttercup floral: Amazing that you can work with them on your decorations, one less vendor to talk to = a win for me.
Staff: Shout out to the staff at our event. Everyone was friendly, professional and couldn't have asked for a better crew.
Bellevue Hall and JAM caterer saved the day! We had to change our venue 3 months before our wedding due to the state regulations and the uncertainty of having an indoor reception. We found Bellevue Hall and everything fell into place PERFECTLY! Tom was so helpful and we cannot wait to get married here! The new tent is huge with a nice big dance floor and the property has trees lit to make nighttime dancing magical. They took the stress out of planning and we cannot wait for our big day!
Our daughter got married on 10/31/2020 at Bellevue Hall, had her Rehearsal Dinner, Farewell Breakfast at Cauffiel Estate and we stayed the entire weekend at Cauffiel Estate as a B&B. We could not be happier with the entire weekend. Tom Covello and everyone at JAM were wonderful.
As you can imagine planning a wedding during a global pandemic is not easy. We had originally planned to be at the Anthony Wayne House (AWH), another JAM Caterer property. However, with the restrictions placed on the food service industry in PA the decision was made to change the location to Bellevue Hall. Angela Dilella, site coordinator at AWH worked with Tom, site coordinator, wedding planner and jack of all at Bellevue and Cauffiel, to make my daughter’s Dream Wedding happen in a new location in under 2 months! Tom and his crew did just that and so much more!
Tom was able to make the adjustments in the details on ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, flowers, menu, EVERYTHING, while keeping a bride and groom from completely losing their minds through the process. You need to understand that not only did we change venues we now changed states...so hotels had to change as well. We were also the weekend before a presidential election in the home city for one of the candidates, it was not an easy task keeping this bride and groom from losing their marbles. But let me tell you Tom and company did it with constant contact and follow through on every detail. Oh and did I mention that this venue was still an hour away from the bride and groom as well as myself! Tom accommodated our schedules at every turn, and there were many!
The Rehearsal on Friday went smoothly with a few extras that Tom added... such as a tour of Bellevue Hall. Cauffiel House was the site of the Dinner and it too went smoothly. We had use of the entire house and grounds overlooking the river, on a wonderful night, very relaxing for all! The bridal party stayed the night at Cauffiel Estate so there was no stress of having to rush to leave. A continental breakfast was served the morning of the wedding for quick bite before we were off to get ready for the BIG EVENT!
The Bride’s suite was perfect for the ladies to pamper themselves in and the men had a chance to play pool and unwind in the groom’s suite prior to the ceremony. The light snacks that we had were perfect to keep everyone from getting cranky due to hunger. The ceremony was well organized and beautiful, we had it outdoors on the lawn, cocktail hour was indoor/outdoor. The reception was in the tent and I heard many people say...”It was magical,” and I would have to agree. Again, Tom and his staff did an excellent job of keeping the reception flowing and ensured that everyone had a wonderful time. The food was amazing and well portioned. Honestly you can’t go wrong with JAM! The staff was very attentive. We could not and did not want for anything more!
After the wedding many people went back to Cauffiel Estate, which is literally around the corner, and continued the party well into the night! The bride and groom and wedding party stayed at Cauffiel Estate. The farewell breakfast was a simple breakfast to say thank to those that wanted to stop in and have a quick bite before heading home.
In conclusion, this was the BEST, worst thing that could have happened! Both my daughter and son-in-law have said to my husband and I....This is where we were supposed to get married from the beginning! We would not change a THING! Thank you!!!
Jeffery Miller Catering is the paragon of excellence in the catering business. Our associates, Craig and Tom, were able to help us create a unique and safe experience for our guests in the face of the current novel and unprecedented challenges with a deftness and professionalism that only their many combined years of experience in this domain could provide. Of particular note was the ability to which the company was able to remain flexible with the constantly evolving parameters set forth by the varied locations that the company serves. Most importantly our associates treated us benevolently thinking only of how they could serve our needs instead of how to ensure profits, as my wife and I heard many stories of companies exploiting couples with limited options. My wife and I bartended weddings for several years and were shocked at the quality of service offered by Jeffrey Miller Catering. The location, Bellevue Hall, was crafted especially to mitigate challenges caused by the current pandemic that assuaged the safety concerns that my wife and I had for our guests. I know of no other caterer that can boast a similar location. My wife and I additionally attended several weddings during the pandemic and were overjoyed when Jeffrey Miller Catering exceeded our expectations against all odds. My wife and I recommend Jeffery Miller wholeheartedly to anyone in need of catering services.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Bellevue Hall and the entire team there! After the year of not thinking my wedding would happen Bellevue Hall came in and saved the day! It ended up being more perfect than I could have ever imagined and people are still talking about the amazing time they had!
This venue is gorgeous! We had to move our whole wedding two months before the wedding and this was the place we chose. We are so happy with how everything turned out. The tent was in production when we booked, and the outcome did not disappoint. Beautiful grounds, amazing opportunities for all of our pictures, and we love that we can go back and visit, walk through the park and hopefully attend future events there!
Review Update:
My husband and I will forever be grateful for JAM Catering, Bellevue Hall, and Tom for helping to make our wedding day our dream day! Getting married during 2020 came with a lot of unknown, anxiety, but also hope. Tom constantly gave me hope as a bride that the wedding would happen, and oh it happened! It was the best day of our lives, and we owe it to JAM catering! It was more than I ever expected, and they went over the top to ensure our wedding was amazing.
Having our reception at Bellevue Hall was not our original choice, but we knew we wanted to move our reception outdoors. Bellevue Hall happened to be close to the church we were getting married at, so I contacted Tom about two months before our wedding date. Now my husband and I could not imagine getting married anywhere else but Bellevue Hall. I am a perfectionist, planner, and someone who pays attention to detail. Tom was always ahead of my thinking making sure everything ran smoothly. He made this happen in a short period of time and was excited for us every step of the way!
When you have your wedding celebration at Bellevue Hall, you have it all. You have gourmet food, a kind staff, the whole mansion for you and your guest, and a beautiful outdoor space. Jeffrey Miller was so accommodating with our food choices and with our guests that had allergies. I got married on October 23, and guests are still raving about the food and the kind staff at Bellevue. Our cocktail hour was in the mansion with enough room for guests to space out. This made our guests feel comfortable and safe.
Our reception took place in Bellevue Hall’s new outdoor tent space and it was BEAUTIFUL! It blew away my expectations and was very spacious. It is not your average pop up tent. The lighting is beautiful and the table linens/decor were perfect. I walked in and felt like a princess in her castle. Also, the lighting outside of the tent is gorgeous. They had string lights on the trees as well as up and down the walk way for guests. Please know if you choose to have your celebration be at Bellevue with JAM Catering, you will not be disappointed. Bellevue Hall will always hold a special place in our hearts.

All of the 2020 brides and grooms understand how stressful it is when it comes to making decisions about their big day, especially during 2020. I was on the verge of postponing my wedding and lost all hope. Then one day I came across Bellevue Hall online, and I decided to take a tour. That was the best decision that I could have ever made!
When you walk into Bellevue Hall, you feel as though you are in a mansion. The character inside is absolutely stunning! The library with the fireplace is a dream room and there is plenty of room for guests to spread out and move around within this DuPont estate. The bridal suite is spacious and there are plenty of mirrors for hair and make-up touch ups. Walking through Bellevue Hall, I began to imagine myself there in October.
We just signed the contract with JAM catering and Bellevue Hall, and we are so excited. Jeffrey A. Miller has been nothing but accommodating and positive in terms of communication. The food choices they offer are excellent and they were empathetic towards the fast decision that we had to make to switch venues at such short notice.
Tom and his team at Jeffery A. Miller catering score a 10 out of 10 on every aspect of wedding execution: friendly, detailed, flexible, cost-effective, relatable, highly-communicative, experienced. And not to mention, the venue is absolutely STUNNING. In our opinion, Bellevue Hall is the best value for a wedding venue in the entire tri-state area, and we have more experience looking at venues in PA/DE/NJ/NY than probably 99% of couples. Very reasonable pricing, with a ton of elegance and amenities. We could not possibly recommend this place (and Tom) more than we do.
Here’s the longer story. Planning a wedding during COVID will hopefully be one of the more challenging things my wife and I will do together. Our initial wedding was planned for April 18, 2020, but by mid-march, it was clear that we were going to have to postpone. We postponed to July 12th, feeling fairly confident that this date would be safe. To make a long story short, at different points in the planning process, we were going to have our wedding at three different venues over two different dates (invitations went out for all these). With less than one month until our wedding, we had to change venues, caterers, and almost all of our vendors. This is when Tom Covello and Bellevue Hall came to the rescue! Tom Covello and the Jeffery A Miller team were right there with us, communicating with us multiple times per day EVERY DAY for the 3 weeks leading up to our big day. We planned almost the whole wedding together in that 3 week period. Even when our guests and bridal party were dropping out all the way up until the very day of our wedding due to the ever-changing COVID regulations, wreaking havoc on our plans and seating charts, Tom and his team were there for us every step of the way. Tom, in particular, made our wedding day a possibility. Without Tom, we would NOT have had the wedding that we ended up having. It felt like a true miracle. Nobody thought we could have a normal-sized wedding during COVID. We had 140 people in attendance, and our wedding/reception was just as we wanted. Tom thought of everything and planned so much for us, including negotiating a great deal with a tent company for us and MUCH more. Our ceremony was 100% outside in the gardens, and the reception was primarily under two tents although the inside of the mansion had extra seating available and A/C for those who were feeling too hot. Tom went ABOVE AND BEYOND to keep costs down (my fiance and I had $8K tied up at our previous venue). Tom was also a florist for most of his career and has a real eye for decor and detail. His team was professional and responsive as well. When our wedding planner and Day-Of-Coordinator had to drop out of our wedding 5 days prior to our wedding date, Tom found a new coordinator on the fly and she was FANTASTIC. Her name is Samantha Diedrick and we would ABSOLUTELY recommend her too.
