The venue was outdoors in a remote area with no kitchen access which was an initial concern, but Abby reassured us that the food would be cooked onsite and of the highest quality for our 240 guests, and they definitely delivered! The whole team was professional, attentive, and the food was delicious! I would definitely recommend Bellyful to anyone needing catering in the Portland metro area.

ng companies do. Most things I needed were already included and we didn't have to add a lot on. I also appreciate that her service fee was reasonable (15%) compared to others' 18% or so. The catering arrived in a timely manner and was ready in a timely manner. I got a lot of compliments from guests on the food and the presentation was very nice. I like that Abby takes leftovers after the reception is done (and with your permission to do so of course) to various charity organizations/shelters. If every vendor did this, we could do a lot of good in the world. My one "opportunity for improvement" would be more timely communication since it could sometimes take awhile to get responses to emails or messages left, but I also know it was her busy season and everything else was great so I can't complain much. At the end of the day, I was very glad I went with this catering company and would definitely use them again for another function.

ican. For our catering, we wanted our food pallettes to be blended similar to our cultures. So we planned a mix of Indian food - palak paneer, naan, samosas and comfort food - winter salad, mac n cheese and fried chicken. As a testimony to her awesome cooking, the samosas she baked as appetizers for us ran out before I (groom) could even get a chance to taste them. People complemented about her lemon bars as well, and were ever so curious to get the recipe. Abby's quote was also very very reasonable as compared to all the other caterers we had spoken with. She even provided us with a complementary food tasting prior to making any payments, so we can be certain that her food gets us excited. After the wedding when we had some food left over, she even agreed to box them up for us so it doesn't go wasted. We found it to be very easy to work with her, and customize our menu based on our tasting with her. I will give her 5 stars for excellent food, punctuality, excellent bartender services and overall satisfaction of all my guests with the catering. The only feedback I have is that given she is so busy with events lined up all through the year, and she takes the effort to prepare the food herself on most occasions while responding to customers, responses can be a bit delayed if you're used to same day replies.

ing, and ever since was so excited to eat it again at our wedding. We went with the beef tenderloin and chicken hollandaise with roasted red potatoes, green beans and salad. She cooked the food on site and even plated out food for myself and my Groom so we didn't have to go through the buffet line. I have had so many compliments on the food, many people saying it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Book Abby West and Divine Occasions for your wedding!

ing us two kinds of new chicken recipes a few months later to take home in tupperware to try out (we couldn't decide on one of her current chicken recipes so she made two others once she added new recipes to her site), to knowing that one of the ovens at our wedding location (Troutdale House) ran hotter than the other...I could go on forever! We paid for a lot of the wedding ourselves and Abby worked with us to keep out costs manageable. Rather than get ALL of the flatware/dishware for an extra $10 per person, we figured out the bare minimum we would need for each person and added $1 fee for cleaning up the plates! We ended up only spending an extra $3 per person, it was awesome. She was so great to work with that we decided to get our bartender through Divine Occasions, too - it was so easy to have all of that done through one person. We paid about $4200 for EVERYTHING for about 130 people. When I did my research on other caterers (or the required ones at places like the Abernathy), you're looking at like $80 a plate or more and a ton of fees...for 130 people you're looking at $12,000. Abby was a smoking deal! The food was amazing, our costs included table service AND a bartender! The service was amazing during the reception...the food was to die for! One of my pickiest friends had TWO plates of food! Everyone was talking about how great every thing was (we did the pesto chicken dish and the steak). The cheese/fruit tower appetizer was demolished, in good way. :) I also want to add that on our very first visit with her, she gave us tons of advice around our wedding in general (how much alcohol you might need for X guests, insurance, etc) that was extremely helpful. And that was all for free. I could not recommend them more!! One more - being a Portlander, there was one other thing that drew me to Divine Occasions (other than they are a local small business), they have an option to donate the leftover food to a homeless shelter, offering to drop it off after the reception. What? I'll never forget her saying that reheating some of the meat and veggies isn't the greatest as leftovers, but you sure can do a lot with all of it in a soup. She even let keep a few boxes of leftovers and took the rest to the shelter. Obviously this is a long review. :) I wouldn't change a thing about working with Abby and her team! Thank you!! Sierra

ese kids' food bar was a great addition to the main dinner buffet-- it was suited towards our younger guests' tastes and was cheaper than feeding them the full meal. She was easy to work with since she responded to emails promptly.

and our wedding was pretty far out of PDX, yet she was willing to drive & help us on the most amazing day of our lives. We got SO many compliments on the food, and Abby was perfect on the day of. She made sure my husband and I got something to eat (which is surprisingly easy for the bride & groom to forget that day!) , and was graceful & attentive throughout the night. If we were ever to have another big event like that, I would hire her and this company again in an instant. I also have been actively recommending her/her company to all of my friends. We just cannot speak highly enough of Divine Occasions!!!

se, it was well worth it! The food really was delicious and plentiful. Abby was very nice to work with and was able to accommodate our venue out in Stevenson, WA and make sure rentals were taken at the end of the evening. When it decided to rain we had to quickly change from having the wedding take place outdoors to inside at the tables set up for the dinner. The three ladies worked around our scurrying in a efficient and professional way. It was SO nice to know that they were taking care of whatever had to happen to pull off this wedding. At the end of the evening Abby and her team left the kitchen area so spotless that the owners of the venue said it was the cleanest it had ever been left. I highly recommend Divine Occasions Catering. Seven weeks after the wedding a people are still commenting on how good the food was.

We had juicy, amazing beef tenderloin and delicious parmesan halibut that all my guests absolutely loved!!! Most people who commented about the food said it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. I am so grateful to Abby for helping to make my day perfect! I wholeheartedly recommend Divine Occasions!

Her presentation was gorgeous, and her work ethic is to be admired. She provided us with high quality food and service for a reasonable price. was and how nice they were. Not only was the food amazing, but they also cooked it on site; which I had my wedding at a beach house, they setup in the kitchen and cooked everything. Some of the other caterers I had contacted said they cooked it at their own facilities and brought the food pre-cooked. I would completely recommend them to anyone!

She catered my engagement party & wedding and I have had so many guests come back to me asking for her info. Her food is always the topic of discussions. ed wedding that was as over the top and crazy as any carnival can be! Everything from the theme to the food was inspired and planned with Abby's help and guidance. She was available whenever I had a question or was stumped on an idea. She was always patient with me and thought of every little detail!! The food was amazing and everything stuck perfectly with the circus theme! We even had elephant ears and cotton candy! I had more guests compliment the food than anything else at the wedding! My husband and I sincerely thank Abby and her amazing staff for their thoughtfulness and help with everything! I would highly recommend Divine Catering to anyone and plan to use them for every event!

e even since referred other bride's to her! You have to make sure you try the peanut sauce! We told our guests how good it was and ran out at the wedding. Abby then told us that had never happened before! Only negative I can say is some of the food was not exactly as we asked for, but our guests seemed to be very happy with what they got. We ordered a pesto pasta salad that was not served, but rather an extra green salad, so we had 2. And the green salad we requested was not what was provided, but the guests loved what was served. Regardless of this, our guests raved about the food! Their service was excellent and reliable.

mily still are talking about how good the food was a year later. I had people comment on how hard they worked and how much they cleaned up. The food was hot, with the kitchen a drive away. The presentation was gorgeous. We would highly recommend divine occasion(Abby) to any friend.
