Donna was amazing and really helped make our wedding day a dream. Our wedding had to be moved inside last minute and it came out so beautiful. The food and drinks were amazing. All our guests loved everything.

We had the most beautiful wedding thanks to Benedict's! The food was phenomenal, the service was great, the setting was gorgeous. The staff did an amazing job at making sure we got everything we wanted for our big day! Donna, the bridal attendant, was such a big help. Overall, an amazing local venue with great food, service, and setting.

WOW, I had the night of my dreams (along with the rest of my guests). I truly can't say enough amazing things about Donna (bridal attendant) and Nicole for EVERYTHING they helped my mother and me with. It was the best night of my life & I owe it to the fabulous staff for making everything seamless. Thank you to everyone at Benedict's for making my wedding night perfect. I will definitely be recommending you guys to all of my friends & family.

Where do I even begin? My wedding at Benedict’s was beyond what I imagined! Everything was so beautiful and the food was top notch. Mrs. Cathy was my wedding coordinator and she was amazing!! From the beginning of planning my wedding, during a pandemic I might add, Mrs. Cathy was always a phone call or text away to reassure me and answer any and all of my questions. On my wedding day she made sure the night ran smoothly and made sure that myself, my groom, and our families as well as our guest were well taken care of. She went above and beyond and my husband and I can’t thank her enough for all she did to make our wedding day the best day ever. I would recommend Benedict’s & Mrs. Cathy as a wedding coordinator to anyone and everyone. My wedding day was truly a dream come true!!

We moved our venue from New Orleans to Mandeville 2 months prior to our wedding date because of the Covid-19 regulations in Orleans Parish. In the beginning, working with Lauren at Benedict’s was a dream. We selected our menu and signed the contract. The actual wedding itself was phenomenal—we had a great time and our band kept the party going. However, there were quite a few setbacks. My dress was bustled incorrectly the whole night. After them working on it for 15 minutes we decided it wasn’t worth wasting our reception time on. This is something that a wedding venue should have under control. Several people after the wedding stated that they had to go hunt down both the wedding and grooms cake. We had a bubbly bar and hand passed Bloody Mary’s on our contract—neither of which we had at the wedding. We were supposed to have sliders and fries handed out at the end of our wedding—we, the bride and groom, never received one. We both ended up going to the bar several times to get our drinks because our person assigned to take care of us was MIA 80% of the night. Both of our parents were fending for themselves as well as they were assigned the same individual as us. When my mom called to inquire about this on Monday she spoke to Lauren about it. Lauren called myself, the bride, and got my side as well. After not hearing back, we called again on Wednesday and discussed the same issues with Lauren and how poor the service was. When we brought up the passed Bloody Mary’s, she said “we even bought the bacon salt rim for it.” That doesn’t mean that they were made and served unfortunately. My mom then wanted to speak to Shirley, the owner, and they stated that she was in the hospital and that they would leave her a message. Lauren suggested, in the meantime, that we speak to Shirley’s daughter, Nicole. She called my mom from her personal cell phone and we were in the car and Nicole didn’t even let my mom speak and instead was an irate, unprofessional businesswoman. When my mom spoke of the lack of service that even she got, Nicole then yelled “well I’m sorry that we didn’t go tap on your shoulder on the dance floor and get in your face and ask you if you needed anything.” From the very start, she immediately went into defense mode, which only proves further the poor service we got. It’s a shame because Shirley probably doesn’t even know to this day the horrible service experience we had because Nicole is masking it from her mother. Never would we recommend a place operated like this.

My daughter wanted a fairytale wedding and she definitely got that. Everything was literally perfect. The staff and brides assistant were efficient and catered to our needs. The food was fabulous including the pizza bar coming straight out the onion. We had some unexpected rain issues earlier that day but Benedict’s got everything set up quickly and everything went off on time. I would highly recommend this venue for a perfect wedding. It made my job mischief easier dealing with professionals They also accommodated every need my daughter has. The perfect experience.

The owners of Benedict’s were so amazing. They really worked with us to make everything perfect. They were very accommodating and they respected our cultures and traditions. The room where we held our wedding reception was very beautiful, open and spacious. The wedding guests told me how much they enjoyed the food. My expectations were exceeded and I am very happy that we chose to have our wedding reception at Benedicts. Everyone worked very hard and were very professional. I could not have asked for better service.

Where do I even begin? Last night for the McLemore/Neyland wedding it was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful! Mrs. Cathy was the absolute best and made the whole night go so smoothly! I am so glad I was part of the festivities last night! Everyone was so helpful and accommodating to us. As many times as I have been the made of honor, this hands down was THE BEST place I have every been to or dealt with! I would 100% recommend everyone to get married at Benedict’s Plantation! Thank you so much Mrs. Cathy and everyone else who made Danielle’s dream come true!

I couldn’t be any happier with how our wedding turned out. Everything was perfect. From the rehearsal dinner to the wedding. Mrs. Cathy was awesome to work with and she kept the night rolling smooth. I love the benedict’s crew and loved that I was able to be a Benedict’s Bride.

Miss Cathy was absolutely wonderful since the first day. Attentive to details, ready to help and adapt to your needs and desires there is no one else I would want coordinating such a special day. Benedict’s is a dream come true venue, food was perfect, my list was pretty much all from their list of recommendations and everything was flawless. We are doing a one year anniversary celebration in Brazil and Ms. Cathy and her husband are already invited to come. Don’t have one bad thing to say, my only advise is to book with them immediately. By the way I researched a LOT and they have the best price (cost benefit wise).

As the father of the bride, August 24, 2019, we worked with Shirley and her staff and would not change a thing. The venue was beautiful, the food was excellent, and the service was on point. At the end of the evening Donna, the wedding consultant from Benedicts, asked what they could have done to make our experience more enjoyable and my comment was don't change a thing. The attention to detail was unbelievable. The food was the greatest!!

We had the best time at our wedding reception! The food was great and Mrs. Cathy ran everything smoothly. If you are looking for a venue that knows what they are doing and will make the process as stress free as possible, Benedict's is a great option. We recently celebrated our second daughter’s wedding reception at Benedict’s. Everything was simply amazing! Our family has enjoyed the accommodations of Benedict’s for two of our daughters’ weddings, as well as our 25th Wedding Anniversary celebration. Each time, the staff and owner, Shirley Deluzain, were extremely helpful and attentive, easy to work with, and very accommodating! The renovations to the ballroom are absolutely beautiful and created an extremely elegant venue for our reception. The gardens are also beautiful and were great for outdoor pictures! Our vendors, including the bakery, the florist, the photographer, and the DJ, all commented on how accommodating Benedict’s was and how easy they were to work with. The grandparents of the bride have been to many receptions over the years and truly appreciated the extra-special personal attention from the staff at Benedict’s during the reception. The food was delicious and the menu selection was extensive. We enjoyed bacon wrapped shrimp, catfish, crab cakes, gumbo, and beignets.... just to name a few. We are looking forward to many more family celebrations at Benedict’s, as we have two more daughter's to get married! Thank you Shirley! We will definitely be back!

Mrs Shirley and Mrs Cathy and her entire staff are incredible to work with! The food, bar, and entire venue from the rehearsal dinner, bridesmaids luncheon to the ceremony and reception were top notch. They were easy to work with and were 100% accommodating. My wife and I had our ceremony outside in the courtyard and reception in the ballroom. Ms Kathy and her team made everything easy. They really worked with out budget and customized not only the menu but the whole day to make it exactly what we wanted. Our wedding was perfect, the food was great, and our guests were very happy. I would highly recommend them!

My husband, Jake, and I are extremely pleased with how the staff at Benedict's handled our wedding ceremony and reception! We were treated very respectfully and very well. We were waited on hand and foot and didn't have a care in the world except to have fun. Cathy, our wedding coordinator, was so wonderful... she told us what we had to do and when. Even when the ceremony wound up indoors due to rainy weather, all was just gorgeous. My friend even commented on how it all reminded her of a Hallmark movie! The candles and atmosphere were just beautiful. We would recommend Benedict's Plantation to anyone who needed a venue for any occasion.

I had my wedding at Benedict’s in December. The most beautiful wedding I could’ve dreamed of! Cathy and the staff were amazing! It was absolutely perfect! I would recommend them to every person I know getting married. I can’t tell you how many compliments I got on the food! The most beautiful venue, the most compassionate and friendly staff, the amazing delicious food, and the list goes on! Benedict’s made my dream wedding come true, and I couldn’t have been happier!

Benedict’s was the best decision that we made during our wedding planning. The day of everything and everyone were perfect. I have heard time and again from people who attended our wedding how beautiful the venue was and how amazing the food tasted. My now husband and I were blown away by how helpful everyone at Benedict’s were with us. They worked within our budget and answer any and all questions that we had. They were prompt with any communications with us as well. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn’t change picking Benedict’s. For sure earned all five stars we are giving it!

Mrs. Shirley and Mrs. Cathy put on the wedding of my dreams. They paid attention to every detail; it was beautiful. The Christmas decorations they hang during this time of year made it even more special. The night of the wedding I never had to worry about anything; they guided us through the whole night and made sure we were taken care of. I definitely recommend this venue.

I cannot say enough about this venue and the amazing people there. Ms. Shirley and Ms. Cathy made my wedding day magical and a breeze. I had a very large wedding and wedding party but they made everything so simple. They can work with any budget and are willing to help in any way they can. I had a horrible hotel situation. My hotel I was supposed to get ready at decided to cancel my reservations multiple times. I called Benedict's in a panic trying to figure out what I was supposed to do because no other hotels had a suite large enough available. They went above and beyond to help me. I ended up being able to get dressed on site at Benedict's. Not only is their customer service great, the food is AMAZING!!!! I still have people coming up to me telling me how great the food was. The food on my wedding day was very important when choosing a venue. I am very picky with food and they went above and beyond my expectations! This was our second wedding at Benedict's. They are so easy to work with! Cathy was our wedding planner and she did a great job. All our guests said how excellent the food at the reception was, and our attendant was making sure that all our needs were met. They handle everything and it was a breeze. Mrs. Shirley and her staff are awesome! This is a great place to host your wedding and an excellent value for our money!

Mrs Shirley and the other ladies made our wedding reception a night we will never forget. My husband and I enjoyed every second of our night from the moment we stepped out of the limousine, Mrs Shirley was there waiting to help bustle my dress and get me in the doors. She absolutely had it decorated so beautifully! The food was absolutely delicious and was everywhere!! The night ran smoothly and beautifully. My rehearsal dinner, bridal luncheon, wedding ceremony, and reception were all held at Benedict's Plantation. This gorgeous venue was the right decision for all. Overall a great option! Husband and I were married on July 29th, 2017 in the plantation house with about 60 people and a buffet reception that followed. Benedict’s graciously accommodated my budget and request for no alcohol, very easy to work with and made great vendor recommendations for the cake and flowers. Only snafu we had was I was told, and had it written on my paperwork that we would have white on white linens, yet when we arrived to decorate prior to the rehearsal there were white on black linens, and I was given a poor excuse by the coordinator - thank goodness for Sams club though and my Mom fixed the issue. Servers were amazing and friendly! Great time was had by all! Would definitely recommend Benedict’s Plantation in the future.

Benedict Plantation did the catering at Race and Religious for our son and daughter-in- law's wedding. People are still talking about the food and service! It was wonderful! I was very impressed with Ms. Shirley, the owner, she was in the kitchen working very hard to please everyone with a smile on her face! Our first meeting with Cathy, the wedding coordinated was awesome. She had everything planned out and calmed myself and my daughter, the bride, in no time. Our wedding at Benedict’s was everything a wedding should be. Everything was perfect thanks to wedding coordinator, Kathy. She made every accommodation possible to make my day special. When I accidentally put the wrong time on my invitations, she moved the wedding time to accommodate. When I did not have an exit planned, she supplied me with some sparklers of her own. My family and friends having been talking about how delicious the food was ever since! The ballroom was beautiful and exactly the way I wanted it, without even having to tell them! If you want to get married at a place where you will not have to worry about anything, this is the place! You will not be disappointed. The serving staff was excellent, the grounds are beautiful. From the delicious private tasting with mimosas to meeting with us several times during the months prior- our coordinator, Lauren, made the planning process a fun one, while staying within our budget and making sure our reception was everything I had dreamed of and more. The best experience me and my husband had! The people there are so nice and professional. We were so spoiled and did not even have to think because the coordinator guided us the whole time! Mrs. Lauren is the best and she helped me figure out the perfect menu and exactly what I wanted for the big day! I cannnot express how happy we were and all the compliments we received! We held our 70-person rehearsal dinner in the ballroom at Benedict's and it was beautiful! My mother-in-law worked with Nicole, who made her feel so comfortable in all the planning. My MIL was planning it from Baton Rouge, and made a few trips to Mandeville, but Nicole really helped her to understand everything even though she was out of town. The food, drinks, wait staff, audio equipment and everything were perfect! It was hard to find a venue or restaurant to accommodate 70 people, but we found Benedict's and it made for a perfect rehearsal dinner!

Amazing! We had our ceremony and reception all at Benedict's. Mrs. Cathy was so easy to work with and made me feel very special. It stormed the evening of my wedding and they effortlessly moved the ceremony inside and managed to keep everything beautiful. My guests are still talking about the delicious food and everyone loved that the bar was nice and big with plenty of staff! Overall, they made this a night to remember and I highly recommend this venue to anyone! They really work with your budget to produce an exceptional event on your terms. Her dedication to us throughout the entire planning process and the night of our wedding was superb. The staff was very professional, and the atmosphere was absolutely perfect!

Benedict's Plantation is now my new favorite place to have a wedding reception or attend a wedding. Benedict's is a great place to have your wedding! We had our wedding in December of 2015. They did an awesome job decorating the place for Christmas time. Their food was delicious. Their wedding coordinator, Mrs. Cathy, is great at what she does! Everything was perfect!

PERFECTION is the only way to describe by wedding reception at Benedict's. I did check out just about every venue on the Northshore and choosing Benedict's was a no brainer. I did not have a wedding planner but with the help of Lauren and Cathy, a planner was not even needed. Lauren was always available for questions and had ideas for my reception that I wouldn’t have even thought of. They both walked me through every step of the way in the planning process and made sure they tailored every detail to my needs. Cathy was our day of attendant and she was with us from the second we pulled up in the limo until the last sparkler went off. She made sure we were taken care of throughout the night and that everything flowed smoothly. Most venues do not come with a day of attendant and even if you hire one, you will probably not get the first class treatment that we received. The food was amazing and our guests have not stopped raving over it! We were also sent home with food & champagne to enjoy with the family the next day. We had a big wedding with over 225 people and there was NEVER a line at the bar. These people are professionals and I have never seen a wedding flow this smoothly. Most importantly, the wedding of my dreams was totally affordable. Thanks you Lauren, Cathy, Shirley, and the Benedict’s staff for making my big day better than I could have ever imagined!

From the very start your attention to detail was simply a marvel. I have never been involved with an event where the Owner, herself, Shirley Deluzain followed through on every step of the process. From the beginning to the day of the wedding involved in every step of the wedding. Benedict's were extremely responsive and helpful throughout all of the planning. Benedict's staff was nothing but amazing! They made sure everything was fabulous and seamless. Not only did the servers caterer to us, they catered to all of the guests and made sure everyone had what they needed at all times. Special attention was paid to make sure the groom and bride had plenty of food and drinks throughout the night as well. Thank you for making our wedding so delicious! You made it such an amazing night that we could have never expected the outcome of your food presence. My Husband and I received compliments from every single guest! All of our wedding guests raved about how delicious the food was, many even mentioned it was the best wedding food they had ever! We are still in awestruck that you built and brought in an oyster bar and the oyster shuckers prepared and shucked fresh oysters in front of our guests, from oyster shooters to grilled oysters. Benedict's catered my wedding reception at the Abita Brewery. Shirley was a PRO. She has been hosting/catering weddings for over 30 years, and it shows. Not only was she knowledgeable and experienced, but she was also VERY respectful of my budget. She never once made me feel pressured or uncomfortable when working within my budget. She was able to help me host a first class wedding and all of my guests commented on how lovely the evening was. Shirley and her team of servers/bartenders were able to set up my food and decor in an hour (that's an Abita rule, not hers). The food was delicious and the venue looked amazing. Shirley attended to my every need throughout the night. I did not have to worry about a thing. I will definitely be using Benedict's as a venue or catering in the future.

My husband and I just got married on October 15th. The wedding at benedicts was absolutely beautiful. My mom and I are still getting calls and texts about how beautiful everything was. Oh! Don't let me forget about the food everyone keeps talking about. We had our wedding ceremony inside the ballroom followed with the reception. While the bridal party was taking pictures and guest were outside greeted with champagne and appetizers Benedict's flipped the room around in 8-10minutes. Cathy, the Bridal coordinator was nothing but helpful. She would go above and beyond to make your wedding everything you imagined! Through the night of the wedding Cathy made sure Everthing ran smoothly. I couldn't be more thankful for all if her hard work and dedication. Overall benedicts was absolutely wonderful and I would recommend them in a heart beat. Thank you Benedict's for making our big day one to remember. Oh i forgot to mention we also had our rehearsal dinner there. That was also very wonderful. I would not change ONE thing about the night of the wedding or the experience I had with Benedict's. .

So here I go... I have waited to write this review and it is way past due My husband and I got married on May 28, 2016. So let me start from the beginning, just like any bride that has spent entirely too much time on Pinterest. When it came to finding a wedding venue that had everything I imagined on my Pinterest board there wasn't one. However, when I went to Benedict's to take a look because my step-father swore by this place I was not sold. Because it was not everything I had in mind. After meeting with Mrs. Shirley she asked me what my reservations where I told her I just imagined that I would marry my husband under a beautiful chandelier at sunset. There was not a flinch nor second thought when she instantly responded with "I will make this happen". In that moment I knew Benedict's was my venue. She was making my dream happen. There were other parts of Benedict's that i did not necessarily like but, Mrs. Shirley gave me the freedom to decorate and change things that were not part of what I envisioned. Which is not something you will find at just any venue. Mrs. Shirley was a stranger to me when I started wedding planning. Now I feel as if she is family. She seen I had a dream and a vision for what I wanted for our wedding day. She did not knock it nor did she put limits on what that dream had to be she supported me in figuring how to make it happen. So if you’re looking for a venue where you get the total package Benedict's is it. I had the best day of my life at the beautiful place. I got the chandelier of my dreams. I got flowers flowing over the entire plantation. I had food that people are still ranting over. I made strangers into family (Mrs. Shirley). I had the freedom to use Benedict's beautiful beauty and add my own touches to make it into everything I ever imagined. I had no limits that you so often find with venues these days. When people say their wedding day was hectic and they wished they had eloped I giggle because I constantly replay my wedding day in my head and think to myself I wish we could relive that day over and over again because our day was magical. Without Benedict's Plantation and the amazing people who work there it would not have been possible. So the moral of my review is if you want a generic, depersonalized, no special treatment, nonnegotiable restrictions, no dream wedding, no real candles, wedding then Benedict's is not the place for you. Because at Benedict’s your wedding is their wedding. They want it to be everything you have dreamed and pinned to your wedding board. They want it to be YOUR day that they helped create. They want to know that they got to witness the best day of your life. I will forever be thankful for these lovely people and this beautiful place. I hope you all get to have a dream wedding here like we did.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! My husband and I had our wedding June 4, 2016 at the Benedict's Plantation in Mandeville. I would give them over 5 stars if I could. They made my day PERFECT! It was such a breeze working with them the entire time. Cathy was our wedding coordinator, and she made us feel so at ease the entire time. If we had any questions or concerns, we could call her. It ended up raining that afternoon on our wedding day and Cathy and her staff reset the entire inside to accommodate for the wedding. It was gorgeous! They were so fast and efficient. Now looking back, I wouldn't have it any other way. It made the wedding even more intimate. She kept everything on track with the timeline of the evening. The food was to die for! My guests still talk about how fantastic the food was, and it is the BEST wedding food they have ever had. Cathy made sure we ate at the wedding and packed food for us to eat that night.I could go on and on about Benedict's. The venue is beautiful+the food fantastic+the staff is professional and amazing= the perfect wedding night. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking in the area! First, you should know that I've been a wedding videographer for the past 10 yrs. I've been to any place you can think of for a wedding on the Northshore and in the city. I knew when I got engaged, Benedict's was where I wanted to be married. I cannot say enough great things about Cathy and the rest of the staff! Cathy was very easy to work with, very responsive to anything I needed, there for us for everything the day of my wedding. We were supposed to have our ceremony in the garden but nature had other plans for us. Cathy and the staff went out of there way to make sure it was a beautiful inside ceremony. Both my ceremony and reception took place in the Plantation House which was perfect for my 85 guests. The food, as I already knew, was amazing! 5++++ STARS Benedict's catered my daughter's wedding at the Abita Brewery. The food and the staff were exceptional. They were very professional and also very friendly. All of my guests were very impressed with the quality and presentation of the food. Thanks Ms. Shirley and Lauren for making this such a memorable occasion.

Choosing Benedict's was a no-brainer. I am from the south shore, but they were worth the trek! I looked for venues in the New Orleans area and the prices were outrageous. My fiancé and I scheduled a handful of visits to various venues on the north shore and there was no contest. Benedict's was the only place that would accommodate all our needs (ok, more like wants). I wanted to bring in a couple of sofas to put in front of the fireplace (they have a fireplace!), they said no problem. I wanted to string some Christmas lights from the ceiling, they said no problem. I wanted to have a fireworks show at midnight (New Year's Eve wedding), they said no problem! The other thing Benedict's had that was really important was handicap access for my grandmother. I was very shocked that other venues did not have this! All of these extra things we were allowed to do really made our wedding extra special and our guest loved it. They also really loved the food! Plus, having the food prepared within the venue made things easier and less stressful. AND we got to take home the leftovers!! Shirley is the coolest! Her daughter, Nicole, was my bridal attendant on the wedding night and she was incredibly sweet. I would definitely consider having another event here in the future. And why not? They give repeat customers a discount - and their prices are already so competitive!

My late June wedding at Benedict's was amazing!! I'd been to Benedict's before many times so I knew that was the venue I wanted for my bride and I's wedding and she fell in love with the place. She followed my lead on the food and was very impressed, as I knew she and the rest of our guests were and would be! They were also very accommodating to all of our vendors, allowing some of them access to set up a day prior and they doted on us hand and foot! I'll never find anyone better than my wife, so I'll never have it to do again...soooo glad I did it at Benedict's!

My wife and I absolutely loved Benedict's. We had a small sit down lunch wedding and we used the small room in the main house. It couldn't have been any better. Our guests loved the food and the servers were on the ball with food and drinks. Ms Cathy was great and it was awesome seeing Ms Shirley lending a helping hand. Everything was affordable and they were very prepared for everything including the sudden bad weather which made us have an inside wedding ceremony. The landscape was great for pictures. We would definitely recommend Benedict's to our family and friend's.
