Bent Studio Photography

I hired Bent Studio to take my engagement and wedding photos. Our engagement photos turned out amazing and exactly as we had envisioned them. Tiffany was willing to hear our ideas and was flexible enough to work with them. Based on our engagement photos I was very excited for our wedding. I hired Tiffany and her husband for 12 hours. I wanted to ensure a photographer was with the guys and girls in the morning while we were getting ready. My hope was that we would get pics from all perspectives. It worked well for the morning, but once the ceremony kicked off, they started photographing the same things. My bridal party had to get their attention during the procession so that one of them would capture pics of my husband while I was walking down the isle. My bridal party became frustrated as well because several of them had to go find one of them to capture the candid moments with our families before the ceremony. No one was near us during the ceremony so we have pics of our backs, when there was more than enough space for one of them to position themselves to see us. We don't have pictures of parts of the ceremony because they didn't position themselves to be able to see. We have random pics of the procession. Then when we started family pics if became increasingly frustrating. I had emailed her several weeks before the wedding and asked her if I needed to provide her a list of pictures we wanted taken with family and the bridal party. She responded that she was comfortable with the traditional family pictures and I did not make a list. After the ceremony she approached me and asked me what I wanted to do for pictures, and I realized at that time that I was expected to dictate what pictures we were going to take. If I had know I would have to do that on the spot I would have made a list! Instead I had to act on the fly and that resulted in my husband and I missing out on pretty important photos. For example, I don't have a single picture from the whole day of me and my last living grandparent. I missed pictures of one whole half of my family. It was way to hard to figure it out on the fly and we missed several opportunities to have very nice pictures with our family. When we started taking pics of the bridal party, they did not attempt to position people or tell them where they should stand, which resulted in the majority of our pictures being awkward. The party would ask where they should stand and they responded every time that 'we looked great'. We were depending on them to tell us how we should move or stand or pose in the pictures because we of course could not tell ourselves if it looked bad. Several of my favorite spots have no usable pictures because people are hidden behind each other, almost out of the frame, or huddled together awkwardly because they weren't sure how to position themselves. My bridal party expressed how unhappy they were while we were taking photos because they knew then that they weren't good photos. When we received our photos after the wedding we quickly noticed that many were missing. We inquired about the missing pictures and they did send us the rest, which was nearly 125 photos! We still don't have photos that we know were taken. 125+ photos missing! Granted we did get most of them after we asked, but that is terrible service to have to ask for what you paid for. It has been very upsetting to show our family and friends our photos and for them to tell us how disappointed they are in how they turned out
