I really didn’t want to make this review, but after trying for over a month to resolve our concerns privately with Bents Opera House, I feel like I need to share our experience. L...

eading up to our August 22 wedding, Bents did an amazing job selling the experience. We loved the venue and truly thought we had made the perfect choice. Unfortunately, the actual wedding day was very different. • Men were brought through to tour the venue while we were getting ready, and someone stepped on my wedding dress. • My dad had to get dressed in a bathroom. • Our private vows were interrupted. • A Bents employee forgot to have our officiant sign our marriage license and signed the officiant’s portion herself without telling us. • Cocktail-hour food wasn’t brought where expected, food ran out, children were served incorrect meals, and the bride and groom didn’t even receive the beef we selected and paid for. • We had additional issues with dessert and so much more. We contacted Bents two days later and chose to keep everything private while giving them the opportunity to make it right. After more than a month of waiting and following up, today we were told they will be taking no additional action. Their response even listed “meals” and an “additional getting-ready suite” as things provided at no charge. We paid for food, food that ran out, and there was no additional suite—my dad dressed in a bathroom. I’m sharing this because I relied heavily on this group when choosing our vendors, and this is information I would have wanted to know before booking.

We had our wedding at the Bent's Opera House this past Halloween and my family and I were blown away by how perfect they made our special day! Right from the start Jaclyn took th...

e time to figure out all of the details of our vision for the day, what our priorities were and where we could adjust to make sure we had all of the important stuff figured out first, and was so communicative throughout the entire process. It truly made the whole process so much less overwhelming and enjoyable. She had great recommendations between food, drink options, and good photo opportunities around the venue to consider during our formal pictures. They were also super flexible when we were booking meetings to test out a few things at the venue/a final recap on zoom before the wedding which was very helpful between our schedules. One of the best perks was being able to use the day before to set up all of the decor so that it was ready for the big day - I'm not sure if this is dependent on scheduled events or not, but we truly appreciated that extra time! The venue itself is gorgeous so we didn't really need much decor, and they also have decor options available for rent if you prefer to go that route. Also, they took care of the clean up after the ceremony! (Pretty sure we had a bunch of loose candy make it to the floor, so quadruple thank you to everyone involved in this!!!🙏) Food wise, they were able to accommodate both food and bar service right through them - there were a lot of options available to choose from (including customization for a totally unique menu), but we ended up doing a buffet style that worked out SO well for our smaller guest count. It is very clear that the chefs and staff are passionate about their work! Everyone was so attentive and the food service looked and tasted amazing. While we didn't do a brunch the day after the wedding, they were able to reserve a more private place for the rehearsal dinner at their restaurant for us the night before (a great preview of the food to come!) where we got to meet some of the staff that worked during our wedding. Honestly everything was 100/10 thanks to everyone involved - they truly made it the perfect day!
