ot very helpful, but Tabitha stepped in and contributed to the success of my special day. She was responsive, personable and accommodating. The venue is amazing, the food is spectacular and the view is breathtaking. The majority of my guests visited Texas for the 1st time when they attended my wedding and many of them want to come back just visit Bentwater again. Lastly, staying at the on site villas with my bridal party was convenient.

looking for something all inclusive. I for one didn't want to deal with booking multiple vendors (i.e. linens, caterer, decor, etc) and was so relieved when I found Bentwater. They even have villas that you can book so you can stay on site for the rehearsal and wedding. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, my guests all said how beautiful it was when they pulled up. It's so idyllic next to the water and surrounded by gardens. So many great places for pictures. We got dressed in the tower and the views were amazing and made for some excellent pictures. Not only is it beautiful inside and out, the catering was fantastic. Kam helped us choose a custom menu and it was so delicious. They also were helpful in choosing a menu that was allergen friendly, and set out allergen cards next to the food. There are only a few negative things I must mention. Their standard buffet menus consist of BBQ, Italian, and Mexican food, not exactly foods you want from a upscale venue. They need to add more standard options such as fish, steak, and chicken. We went with a custom option because our wedding was black-tie and we didn't exactly want BBQ. Next, many of our guests got lost and some actually missed the ceremony because the gate guards didn't inform them where the wedding was. We had to provide a list of all the guests and vendors to the guards so one would think they would be more helpful in guiding guests to the venue. Also there is lack of signage throughout the property. Finally, I would say the venue is not exactly accessible for those with mobility problems. The ramp is around the side of the building and the stairs in the front are very steep. Should they ever renovate, they should make it more accessible. Bottom line, I would recommend Bentwater Yacht club to anyone. My wedding was beautiful and went off without a flaw, and that is accredited to the wonderful staff at Bentwater Yacht and Country Club.

She is what made my year of planning less stressful and the wedding come off without a hitch. She is without a doubt the most amazing woman that works there and will help you plan the best wedding ever!

the dark ages.Thank god we did not bring the mac laptop, as it did not have the capability to connect.My daughter was able to get it to work.As the video played the sound was so distorted we did not have the pleasure of hearing the grandparents give their well wishes.The songs were coming in and out, there was also screeching coming from the system, Rusty made no effort to check the system.He just stood there like an Indian Chief and made no attempt to fix anything.My daughter had to get up and try to fix it!My daughter poured her heart and soul into this project and spent numerous hours on it. She also made sure it worked on our PC, her laptop (both Mac and Dell), Facebook and a flash drive.She also put it on YouTube.The only place or time it didn't work was at Bentwater Yacht Club.The food came out a few minutes before my husband welcomed everyone.He spoke for approximately 3 minute.The head table went to get food.I was thinking as we went through the line that there was very little salmon, the pieces were about 1 inch by about 3inches and there were only maybe 12 to 15 portions.There was about 3 pounds of beef, and 1 tray of chicken.I then thought we could always go back up for a little more.After everyone went through the line and sat down to eat, we turned on the video, which was exactly 14:45 minutes.As we were watching the video one of the waitresses tried to take my sons dish and he had to pull it back from her and stated that he was not finished.Some of our guest tried to get more food but the service staff had already removed the food during the video.When I looked over to where the food was set up right after the video it was gone.My estimation is that the food was out for approximately 24 minutes.The cheesecake was placed randomly on tables, we were not offered hot tea or coffee, nor did I see any.The bartender was young, no smile at all.The service staffs only concern was to clean up and get us out of there as quickly as possible. I know this because they rudely flashed the lights on and off 3 times and then left them on. I paid 18% gratuity to them for the worse service I have ever had.Their behavior and actions ruined this once in a lifetime event for me.As for Rusty, I spoke to him after the bright lights went on to discuss the sound system. He seemed uninterested and said he would discuss with Connie in the morning.Why should he, I paid for everything up front. Bentwater got paid regardless of how the event went.I was sure he would not handle it and that is why I called myself.My son is 28 years old.He and his new wife had 250 guests at their wedding. About 150 were their friends who are engaged or with a boy/girlfriend.My daughter is 22 with friends that will also be tying the knot at some point in the very near future.I have lived in Spring Texas in the same home for 22 years. With my children going to school with many of the same friends and acquaints from elementary to college, and in sports we know just about everyone in our community.My event did not go as I expected by any stretch of the imagination.I feel this should be dealt with as you see fit and then and only then can I recommend your venue.They then offered a villa for 2 nights, meals and golf for up to 6 people. They will not honor this compensation package.

Connie really helped make it all happen for us and we are grateful we were able to have our wedding at Bentwater!

The vendors they recommended were equally fabulous and they made sure every detail was taken care of from passing out the programs to the sparklers at the end of the reception. The lighted horse drawn carriage looked like it came directly out of Cinderella's fairy tale. Our guests stayed at the villas and were extremely pleased with the accommodations. Most people stayed two to three nights and it made visiting with out of town family and friends so convenient. We enjoyed lounging at the pool and the wonderful brunch across the street at the country club. I have never seen a prettier wedding.

ly to ensure everything would be perfect. The food was delicious, the staff professional and courteous. We looked at other venues in the area, however Bentwater was the absolute best option. The BW villas were perfect for out of town guest and provided needed space for overflow guest. Guest utilized the workout facilities and enjoyed having meals at the grill. Sunday brunch was delicious and enjoyed by everyone. I would recommend BW to anyone and would do it all over again with BW.

outstanding site. We also read all the reviews, and saw that a couple of people had a bad experience. But, after using Bentwater, I have to say that we were thrilled with everything about the place. Connie was an exceptional asset to all of our wedding plans. From our first visit to the final minute of the actual day Connie was front and center with help and suggestions to make our day perfect for everyone. Knowing that no plan comes off perfectly {it rained all day, and the DJ screwed up some of the requested songs} the staff was right there to assist in the recovery, and all delivered to make the day a stunning success. The food is "to die for", and the entire staff is charming, and helpful to a fault. Ignore the couple of "rude" references on here and give Connie and staff a chance to prove who is nice, and who is really the rude person. All of my guests are still raving about the place and the event. They and myself will be recommending this venue to anyone that is in the market. I worked with Bentwater for 6 months on this one day, and have no complaints about any of our dealings.

answered all of my what seemed like 1 million questions. They were very accommodating with our small party and the experience was just beautiful. The day of our wedding called for rain but they held off on moving everything inside and it all went off without a hitch. Even the price was surprisingly fair! And the photos...I can't imagine you will ever find a more amazing backdrop for photos. We could not be more pleased with our choice. The only hitch in the entire weekend was getting guests in the gate for our rehearsal. The front gate guards were quite rude and disorganized and clearly have no interest in letting in paying customers, but Connie went to bat for us and was able to get all our guests in.

use the lakeside view is absolutely the most gorgeous I ever seen! all our guests had a blast at the yacht club! Their food was amazing too! Connie was very organized and helpful throughout the whole planning and coordinating of the events. I would recommend Bentwater to any bride-to-be who likes to have their special day at a lakeside venue with breathtaking views and world class services.

e was and how wonderful the staff was. The food was spectacular and our glasses were never empty. Even the day after the wedding my guests were still commenting about how it was most likely the best wedding food they have ever tasted. Sometimes when you go to weddings the food is mediocre, but the food tasted just as good as it did when we had our tasting. Throughout the evening Trish and the rest of the Bentwater staff were very observant and were so eager to please us. We got married during memorial weekend and we were afraid that the noise of the boats and the rain would ruin the wedding ceremony. But when wedding day came the weather was beautiful and we did not have to worry about boats at all. During our food tasting we were also able to have the opportunity to see how the room is set up for an event which I thought was really nice of them to allow us that opportunity. Because a lot of times brides have their own perception of what a room is supposed to look like in their mind, but until you see a glimpse of that it is just a vision. There are so many places on location for photo ops. Our photographer captured our first look at the garden gazebo. Words cannot describe how beautiful it was. The fact that Bentwater has two gazebo option was great because I visited at least 12 wedding venues and not one had that option. Most of the other venues had either a beautiful ceremony location or a beautiful reception location never both. My husband and I were very adamant about having a plated dinner and Bentwater gives couples the option of having a plated dinner at a reasonable price. Like I said earlier I looked at 12 other venues and some of those venues did not even give couples the option of having a plated dinner. I have talked to other married couples and the one thing they complained about was that they did not have time to eat during the ceremony. Bentwater has appetizers in your dressing room when you arrive, passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, and if couples choose a plated dinner they have more than enough time to eat. With the help of Trish, my husband was able to set up the room exactly the way I wanted it to be set up. My husband and I have experience in the restaurant industry, and we are well aware that if we want something done right than we need to share our input with the event coordinator. It was our decision to have him help Trish set up the venue. To future Bentwater brides I would definitely use the carriage for your exit. My guests kept raving about how awesome and romantic it was that we used the horse carriage for our exit. My only regret was that my husband and I forgot to bring a bottle of wine on the carriage because it was about a twenty minute ride. The carriage takes you all the way to your villa which was helpful because we were able to enjoy each others company after entertaining a handful of guests. The villa that Bentwater provided for us was amazing, and they even upgraded our room. I would definitely recommend that guests stay in the villas after the wedding. This is a beautiful location to have your ceremony and reception. Just a word of advice to future brides the best way to contact Connie or Trish is through email. I would highly recommend that brides choose Bentwater as their wedding location.

Trish ran us off. I was very shocked that she did not inform me that they were going to be setting up for a wedding that day. Also, she had the groom setting up his own reception. We felt very rushed and she acted as if we were inconveniencing her... Moral of the story Trish lost a sale and is very unprofessional and rude, the way she spoke to my fiancé was ridiculous.. It's sad because bentwater was my first choice!,,,,

sionalism and deception that Bentwater has presented me with. From Jan-April 2012, Bentwater went through at least three wedding coordinators. I can't tell you how many women I talked to that I had no idea who I was, couldn't find my wedding info, etc. I was truly afraid that Bentwater had moved my date by accident or booked another bride, and I was right (more on that later). We had reserved 30 Villas for our guests with Cindy Dey(who was AMAZING, I was shocked to hear that she left and I know that if she had coordinated my wedding, it would have been FLAWLESS). Every time I spoke with Trish Bautista (the new wedding coordinator), I asked "Are our villas still blocked off? Will you please check to make sure?" 3 months before the wedding she calls saying that we only have 9 rooms because they had to use the other ones for a golf tournament. Then, two days before my big day, Trish calls to confirm last minute details and informs me that there will be a dinner party in the room connecting to ours at the same time as my wedding. This is also the room that I was supposed to be getting ready in. If you've been to Bentwater, it's not a big place. There is only one set of bathrooms and one bar in the venue. So my guests and I will be sharing my wedding reception with 50 strangers when we have paid over 12K for a venue that specifically states in the contract that we have that room and the ENTIRE venue? Trish made it seem like I was whining and complaining over nothing. In her words "This is how this business is" and "what are you upset about?" No apology. No compensation. To add the icing to the cake, Trish HANGS up on my family when they called her and refused to speak to my anyone about the wedding. Two days before I walked down the aisle, I had to ask my family members to help with rehearsal/day of coordination. When we showed up for the rehearsal, Trish told us to go outside because they were too busy setting up for something else. Trish had ZERO part in my wedding. The menu was also completely different than what we had picked out with her at the tasting (where she had also miscounted how many people we had coming). During the reception, my mom overheard Trish gossiping in the bar area to other employees about my mom and myself. In addition, going through our photo booth pictures from the wedding, Trish and most of the catering crew took pictures of themselves DURING the reception. So glad that you all could play while my immediate family coordinated the event. Is this the type of service you want to pay for? PLEASE do not book here. The location is absolutely breath-taking and the food is wonderful but it is NOT worth the hassle and stress that we had to go through with the service. There are so many gorgeous wedding venues that will make you feel special on your day without all of the unnecessary stress.
