We got married 9.24.21 at Bernardus and it could not have been a better experience. From the moment we stepped foot on property, to our Farewell Wedding Brunch, we received the absolute best service imaginable! Our Private Events were all onsite at Bernardus. The food and the service team were absolutely outstanding. We went with the short rib, and it was served to perfection. Our guests raved about the excellent service all weekend! It truly went by too fast. We have a special place in our hearts for forever more. A huge thanks to Nicole and the whole team at Bernardus for making our Wedding weekend so absolutely perfect. Bernardus proved the perfect wedding venue! We knew we wanted to have a wedding experience that included the expansive ocean off Carmel Beach and the beautiful warmth and forested hills of Carmel Valley. After extensive research and visits to at least 4 other potential venues, we were completely taken by Bernardus’s gardens, simple elegance, and wonderful team. The ceremony space was exactly the size and feel we sought, including the winding path through lavender and beehives, through the geometric rose beds and bubbling fountains. The food and wine were also incredible. We opted for an all-vegetarian menu and even our meat-eating guests were effusive about the quality and flavors. The hall for dinner and dancing were well-suited to our needs as well and the staff were amazingly kind and professional. In particular, Nicole Cabantac, our main point of contact and coordinator the day of our wedding was an endlessly warm, responsive, and thoughtful guide through a complex and at times overwhelming process. She laid out all the options for us in our first meeting, kindly walked us through a number of questions around details and specific requests and organized everything with patience and finesse. The day of she was calming and engaged. She helped to coordinate all the various vendors to ensure we could focus on our guests and enjoying the experience fully. We also enjoyed the discounted night stays before and after the ceremony to give the bride and party a space to get ready in a relaxed way, and for us to enjoy a relaxing couple of days following the wedding to bask in the glow of the warm Carmel Valley sun and Bernardus’ beautiful surroundings. We can’t recommend Nicole and Bernardus highly enough!

Get married here!! We had the absolute best experience with Bernardus. We almost didn't go see it when they sent us the original estimate, but they worked with our budget (which was at least $10,000 dollars under the estimate), and we ended up hitting our goal exactly. The place itself is absolutely beautiful. We got married during the fall (November off season pricing!), and the vineyards were gorgeous. The lawn is so fun for cocktail hour- great for corn hole and whatever else you want to set up. The absolute best part was the service. We worked with Stacey Clapp for planning, and she was so on top of everything. Day of, I worried about absolutely nothing. She coordinated last minute guest changes, checking into our room, getting our luggage there, sending all gifts to my mom's room, making sure food was sent to our room since we did eat much. And our waiter Colin had drinks ready for us from the second our ceremony ended until the moment we left. We couldn't have lifted a finger if we tried- we simply got to enjoy our day. We stayed here for a few days after the wedding and continued to experience the same amazing service. Not to mention Carmel Valley is beautiful and was the perfect place for a minimoon. We are so grateful to Bernardus for giving us the perfect day and love having an excuse to come back there to celebrate anniversaries.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Bernardus Lodge absolutely exceeding every hope, desire, and dream I could ever have for a wedding. I’d spent nearly 8 months in close contact with Nicole Cabantac, catering manager at Bernardus. She has a very calming presence and sweet nature. Always handled everything with pure class and helpful advice. On the actual day of my wedding, she had the professionalism of a symphony conductor.
