Bernstein's Fine Catering

Bernstein's was a FABULOUS wedding catered! We got so many compliments on the food. We really wanted food stations as a fun and creative dinner option and they totally delivered! Super fun experience - Natasha, Kevin and everyone on their team went ABOVE and beyond for our special day. They helped with all the details and make our day extra special.

Bernstein's was the perfect caterer for our wedding. The staff was so professional and attentive. They served all of our guests in a timely manner, and everyone could not stop raving about the food and experience. Kevin and Natasha were wonderful to work with leading up to the event, as well. They made us feel confident that everything was in place and would run smoothly, and it did.

Worked with Kevin through the entire process and he was perfect! Accommodated our requests for gluten free eating. Our options that we chose for the entree were the stuffed chicken, short rib, and vegetarian pasta ricotta agnolotti. All were amazing and we had many compliments on them. We also had a charcuterie board and many appetizers and small bites that were amazing. One thing that we would’ve liked is more of those for the wedding party in-between the ceremony and pictures, they brought out a couple trays for the wedding party and family but that was not enough, only got to eat 2 of the 7 or 8 of the options that we had there, guests loved them though. Also had desert of macarons, crème brûlée, crème puffs and they were all delicious. Great experience with Bernsteins and would recommend to anyone.

We worked with Kevin to plan our brunch wedding! He was fantastic. When showing up to our venue for a meeting with our coordinator, Kevin was already there to scope out how things would be set up for the day of. We did an omelette bar, breakfast meats, pastries, bloody Mary’s, mimosa’s, and more. Our guests kept telling us how good everything was. Bernstein’s took care of everything; we had a few phone calls and e-mail exchanges but for the most part we just arrived at our reception and had excellent service and food. They took care of all the little details and the product delivered was absolutely worth the money spent. Highly recommend them!

Adam and his team were a pleasure to work with in planning our wedding last October. Adam went above and beyond to accommodate us through the pandemic and was always a pleasure to work with. The food was amazing and their team is such a creative talent and our guests have been raving about everything they ate ever since. Truly the best caterer in the Dayton area - you can't go wrong.

Adam Baumgarten and Bernstein’s came highly recommended when my (now) wife and I first got engaged in March 2020 and began planning for our wedding. We cannot stress how thankful we are for making that decision now that our big day has come and gone. Adam and his amazing team were nothing short of incredible and stuck with us for two years after having to reschedule our wedding date due to COVID. He was extremely helpful throughout the entire process from our tasting to choosing linens and everything in between. When the day finally came, they were so kind, patient and professional and operated flawlessly throughout the night. We have since received countless compliments about the excellent quality of the food and service everyone received. Adam and his team truly did an outstanding job and we cannot thank all of them enough!

Needless to say, it was a challenge to find a caterer during Covid who could provide the catering services we were looking for at our smaller wedding, but we're so thankful to have gone with Bernstein's. Adam was amazing to work with, patiently helping us put together a fantastic menu for our big day. Adam was also great to work with as we had to adapt our event details as additional government restrictions were put into place regarding wedding receptions. At the end of the day, we couldn't have pulled off such an amazing and memorable day without him and his staff.

Adam was great to work with and so was the pastry chef! They definitely delivered when it came to the food portion of the wedding. Everyone loved the sweets especially the cannolis and mini fruit tarts! Adam knew we wanted a middle eastern flair to our dinner and he did not disappoint. Our guests raved about the food all week! Bernstein's did a fabulous job incorporating food that was personal to us. I only eat fish as far as meat goes and my husband loves all meats. We also love flavors from all over the world. They did a great job creating apps and entrees that made both of us happy as well as all our guests. People went out of the way to tell us how much they loved the food. We would use them again!!

Bernstein's food is amazing! They were also very open to any modifications and dietary needs we requested. Their service the day of the wedding was very quick and professional. However, the communication during the planning process was less than desired. Often long delays in responses and multiple requests to update information. They would greatly benefit from an office manager to improve their administrative pitfalls.

We came to Bernstein's just a few months before our wedding after a very rough search and our first option falling through. But they really came through for us. I have a severe dairy allergy and have been a vegetarian for 9 years and I really wanted our reception to be entirely vegetarian and vegan. Every other caterer we spoke to before we found Bernstein's tried to talk us out of having everything vegetarian and wanted to have specific meals set aside for me and any other guest with dietary needs. Bernstein's was the only place to not even flinch, Adam just said "yes we can do that". And the food was incredible! They gave us a really neat spread of food from all over and we got so many compliments from our guest!

100% Recomend using Bernsteins. Adam was wondeful and so is the pastry chief. This was a one stop shop for us which made everything very convienant. I had booked champagne to be handed out before the ceremony and the bar staff sis a wonderful job keeping the glasses filled for the in ceremony toast. Not only that but there were 3 bar location changes with a full bar menu and it was wonderful and went off with out a hitch. The menu was beef filet mignon and white wine gnocchi which not only tasted amazing ( as good as some of our favorite steak resturants which is hard to do when producing large quantities) but it also looked stunning as aesthetics were very important to me in every aspect. The cake was gorgeous it was a naked cake with strawberry and lemon layers and tasted like sweet summer!

We HIGHLY recommend Bernstein's Fine Catering as your caterer for your special day! Their communication was fantastic, and they were always friendly and easy to work with. We worked with co-owner Adam. He was always ready with plenty of suggestions and couldn't have been more helpful in removing the intimidation of making so many choices on our food. We never felt overwhelmed. Also important to us was that he was more than willing to work with us on our budget for the evening, which they were happy to do. The tasting was a perfect representation of what we were served at the wedding. We couldn't be happier. Finally, during the event they were flexible and willing to go the extra mile to make the wedding go as smooth as possible - working with our guests, getting food out on time when we accidentally started getting in line early, etc. They were very professional. We couldn't recommend them more!

Adam was fantastic to work with. He and his staff were flexible and efficient. They made sure every detail came together for our special day. Our guests are still raving about how good the food was!! The cake was absolutely beautiful as well.

Lauren and her husband were awesome to work with, taking my calls at late hours and holidays because I have a terrible work schedule. She rolled with the punches when I added a vegetarian and child option, when my mom asked for a champagne toast, and when my husband asked for a cookie table. Then, when we allocated too much money towards the champagne budget, they sent us a refund. Who has ever heard of getting money back when planning a wedding? The staff day of was exceptional, even coming up to me after they had officially closed the bar to bring me one last drink. The food was delicious and they did a great job listening to our likes to set up a menu that was special to us. Thank you for making our day so great!

My wedding (200 people) was this past weekend, and Bernstein’s made sure it was absolutely perfect! Food is such a big and important part of our culture. It’s the one thing I feel people always complain about or assume won’t be good at a wedding... so it was really important for me to get it right. After my first meeting with Adam, I immediately felt comfortable. The other caterer I met with had a predefined menu for me to choose from, but Adam wanted to talk about me and my wedding and my guests to learn more before crafting a custom menu for us. At first I was worried about this, thinking maybe it would be better to have a menu to choose from, but then when I received his menu and the proposal I was blown away!!! Everything was right on point. He really listened to what I had to say and put together the perfect menu for us. My family is Middle Eastern, but my husband’s family is American. The appetizers were a delicious fusion of both cultures. Our dinner was a surf & turf with a grilled filet & steelhead trout duet plate that looked beautiful, was cooked to perfection (for 200 people!!! That takes amazing talent), and was sooo delicious! They also did a beautiful job with our dessert table spread. Seriously, these guys are so talented!! The service was top notch. They blew me away! Most importantly, our guests loved the food which made me so happy. I highly recommend Bernstein’s!!!!! 💯🙌🏽

We used Adam and his staff for our annual holiday party this year. The food was amazing, the staff was friendly and professional, and they cleaned up everything immaculately. I HIGHLY recommend Bernstein's.

Our daughter, Kristin Mann, well technically Dr. Kristin Mann- SO proud of her, just married the love of her life, Aaron Stephenson. In a wedding that was simply perfection, I am here to tell you of our profoundly beautiful experience that we shared with Bernstein’s Fine Catering. Early into the planning mode, we had the joy of the taste testing that goes with betrothal and stuff like that. Our first experience was the only one we needed. We came into a very homey, warm and gracious setting, complete with the exquisite smells of everything good in the world. A delightful woman introduced herself as Lauren Baumgarten and the chef in the back as Adam, her husband, who had been up since 4:00am preparing the succulent meal we were about to devour. In the middle were two little ones who were quietly peeking over at us through doors that led into their kitchen. It was Norman Rockwell at his best. And then there was the food. I am not a believer in those that take that misty eyed bite of whatever and do that roll your head back and take deep breaths only to wait until you have the words to describe the infinite bliss that you just ingested. Until I went to Bernstein’s Fine Catering with Aaron and Kristin and Doug. Then the four of us did the misty eyed thing. It was a quick and definite decision that they would create our food memory of the historic night of the wedding. And they did just that. Lauren, Adam, your food was simply superlative. We have had hundreds of compliments, of questions as to our experience with you- of how lucky we were to have found you. We had one of our friends -who is a chef- tell us that was the best wedding meal he had ever witnessed and demolished. Your presentation, your professionalism, complete with your touch of dear warmth and family was everything we could ever hope for. We are forever grateful that you graced our night of magic with your gift of deliciousness.

Ladies and gentleman, let me tell you about Bernstein's Fine Catering... My now husband and I live in Chicago and had our wedding at the Dayton Art Institute (6th generation Daytonian here!). We tried several caterers out in Dayton-- some big names, some small names-- but nothing compared to our experience with Lauren at Bernstein's. From Step 1, she made the experience fun, personalized, and delicious. Rather than just giving us a menu from which to choose, she set up a meeting for us to chat through what we envisioned -- tastes we like, styles, we wanted, etc. -- and then created a tasting menu based upon that discussion, and took our suggestions on that ahead of the actual tasting. AND THEN THERE WAS THE TASTING ITSELF... I really cannot adequately explain the deliciousness of this food. My husband had given up beef for a few months at that point, but had to cheat on this one day because it looked so good (and it was). We did a cheesecake buffet, and I seriously don't think we'll ever be able to have another cheesecake again-- it was so good. We tried a few other places, but nothing compared -- Lauren and Adam and Bernstein's were the clear winner. At the wedding, Lauren and her team were a total delight. We had a few specific requests (e.g., food available to the wedding party during after-ceremony pictures) that they were quick to fill. Further, my one big wish was for a midnight (well, 10pm) build your own mac and cheese buffet-- over which guests have continued to rave. We also had our own signature drinks, wonderfully built and delivered by the Bernstein team. The whole night was a total blast, with much help from the Bernstein's. Honestly, I'm kind of bummed the process is over-- I have been looking forward to that food since we first chatted, and it lived up to every expectation. We will be thanking the Bernstein's for years to come. Thank you, thank you, and thank you, for helping to make our special day so special!!

Bernstein catering's excellence is two fold: First, they provided an out of this world meal that guests were talking about long after our wedding! Secondly though, and perhaps most important, Bernstein's level of customer service is second to none. Time and time again, Lauren blew us away with her attention to detail and thoughtful recommendations and insight. She helped us accommodate a variety of dietary needs of our guests and along with her staff, went above and beyond to provide everyone with an incredible experience. Bernstein's Catering was an asset to our wedding planning and instrumental in the success of the day.

WOW. The food that Bernstein's made for my wedding was OUT OF THIS WORLD. It was one of the best meals I've ever had! All of our guests came up to us at the wedding to tell us how delicious all the food was, and continue to do so even after the wedding! What I loved most about working with Bernstein's was that they work around your budget and your taste, without just pointing you to a pre-designed menu and telling you that you have these limited choices based on whatever you can spend. Adam was so willing to work with us on what we wanted and what we could afford. It truly felt like he was crafting a menu just for us! Thank you to the entire Bernstein's crew for outstanding food and service! You made our wedding that much better!!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Lauren and Adam made sure our day was perfect and I cannot thank them enough. Lauren went out of her way to do so much for us. She met up with us to pick out linens, answered every phone call and text, was patient with us, and SO much more. Our guests are still raving about the food as well. They made sure my dream came true and became great friends in the wedding planning process!

Bernstein's Catering did a fantastic job at my wedding. We served herb roasted chicken and salmon, both of which tasted great. Adam and his staff were professional and helpful. Highly recommended :)

We had a taco bar at our wedding and the guests loved it! We were given compliments about how great everything tasted all night long. The staff was very professional and kept everyone's tables clean throughout the entire night. Highly recommended!!!
