Living near the hill country have us unrealistic expectations for an affordable venue. Luckily a friend recommended Berry Creek and we never looked back. Our package at berry creek included catering, bar service/alcohol, tables, chairs, and linens all for a much more affordable price than other venues in the area.
Lexi worked with us to get everything the way we wanted. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and communicate, she will work with you to make sure it’s planned the way you want it to be!
We were really surprised and happy to know that Berry Creek’s staff did most of our setup for us including our decorations that we brought. The ceremony was on the golf course and it was beautiful and absolutely perfect outside. The reception was upstairs (with an elevator for handicapped and elderly guests).
Definitely had the best time here and would choose Berry Creek over and over again if we could! Thanks again Lexi and team for all of your incredible work!
Berry Creek Country Club (BCCC) is absolutely beautiful location with well kept rooms and beautiful grounds. I was so pleased to find a location that was not the rustic/barn type venue that is prevalent in the area as I was wanting more of an elegant setting.
The staff is absolutely wonderful and professional starting with Lexi who was always responsive and professional (even when pregnant and 10 days post baby at my wedding). She is absolutely wonderful at diffusing stressful situations and great with working various vendors and truly wants to help you have the event of your dreams.
The food was also amazing, at the food tasting there wasn't anything we didn't love. At the reception, we did a buffet and the food was still delicious and top quality.
Overall, I was so incredibly happy with my wedding day. I am so happy with my choice of Berry Creek for my ceremony and reception venue. I wouldn't take it back for anything, and I know my pictures are going to be stunning. Lexi was a fantastic coordinator. In the months leading up the wedding, she kept me calm and always responded to my emails and texts within a few hours with thorough responses. I knew if I had an issue she would be there to fix it immediately and that was probably the most important thing to me preparing for my wedding day.
There were some complications, but again, I wouldn't change my decision to book this venue if I could go back and do it again. 1. The heat - I was pretty hot the whole day and I know some guests were too, so if the same a/c issue happens on your day, I would suggest simply providing some fans for your guests and bringing a couple electric fans for your getting ready rooms. 2. My fiancé was promised a great deal at the time we booked. Our understanding was that the weekend of the wedding, he and his groomsmen would get a nice deal (half price, maybe groom golfs for free - something like that) on the berry creek course. As the wedding day drew near, we learned there would be a competition going on on the course that weekend, and the only course they could find for the boys to use was a significant cost, so they were disappointed not being able to do that. Also, some of the golf patrons came in and out of the grooms rooms while they got ready for the wedding.
If you ask me, these are such minor problems compared to all the things that can go wrong on a wedding day. I had the best day of my life, the venue was beautiful, Lexi and her assistant were always available and we're awesome problem solvers. I am still getting compliments (a week later) about how beautiful my wedding was, and I would highly recommend Berry Creek to anyone looking for a venue in the Austin area. I don't think coordinators come any better than Lexi Hajka, and I loved being able to have my ceremony and reception in the same area. So much was included in our rental of the venue, and it really kept the stress down for me. Oh and the food was absolutely AMAZING!!!! literally mouthwatering. If in doubt, go with Berry Creek! You won't regret it!
Overall a very positive experience. As a first time FOB, and maybe just a little annoying at times, Lexi was very patient and accommodating. Everything went very well.
Lexi and staff were amazing! Unfortunately it was raining all day so we couldn't be outside but Lexi was able to set up the reception space for the ceremony wonderfully! The food was fantastic and we got compliments on it all night! The only downside to the day was the club member ladies who ignored the signs placed on the door to the dressing room and kept walking through.
Was a beautiful place the staff was very helpful and willing to do what they could to make it be that special day that My Wife and I wanted. Rained earlier that day then cleared up to be a beautiful day.
We could not say enough great things about BCCC. We looked at a LOT of venues before finding Berry Creek and I wish we would've found it first! From the moment I walked in the door for the first time to the very end paying the bill, we were SO impressed with everything about this place.
Personnel: Lexi, the events coordinator, was OUTSTANDING. She answered all of our questions, was easy to communicate with via email or phone and was extremely attentive to our needs. She even got us the square plates we wanted for the reception dinner. All of the other staff at the country club were wonderful as well. The event staff were all extremely helpful and kind.
Facilities: The country club is a little dated, but is wonderful! The bride and groom's rooms were huge and provided plenty of space for us. The upstairs reception hall was wonderful for the size wedding we had - around 115 guests. They say it can fit up to 170, but I think that'd be a little tight. The dance floor is huge and was wonderful for the reception we wanted.
Food: Everything we decided on for the reception was delicious, served hot and guests were all very happy. We served chipotle beef tenderloin and greek chicken. The latter wasn't on their catering menu, but we requested it and they were able to accommodate. The tasting process when we were picking out the food was a fun and enjoyable experience.
Decorations: They had some table decorations that fit our theme (trees that held candles), so we just used those. They raised them up in the middle and put a mirror underneath them - it looked fantastic. All at no additional charge. The rest of the room really didn't need anything. Oh, the cake table was amazing! They put white christmas lights under the tablecloth and it created a beautiful effect! Quite the nice extra touch.
Cost/value: I think the cost of the food was $25/pp. We went with the lowest cost option and were completely satisfied. The room fee was $750 and that was it. No extra fees anywhere. Completely straightforward and transparent. The taxes and service fees were surprising to us, but you'll find that anywhere... it's pretty standard as we found out. It was an amazing value for all the great stuff we got out of it.
Overall, we could not have been any happier with a venue! Lexi made the event go off without a hitch. From beginning to end, we were SO happy. We really cannot say enough good things about this place. Definitely worth looking into!
Our wedding was fairly small, but this venue can accommodate small or a bit larger weddings. Annette, the event coordinator, was AWESOME and so helpful!! She made everything so easy and was so easy to work with! We were on a budget, and she recommended different tips as to how to cut costs, but not quality. They provided table centerpieces if you want (we used them and they were beautiful!), food, drinks, chinaware, glassware, linens, and if you want chair covers/sashes, they are at a very discounted price. What I heard plenty of times while talking to her was, "This is my job. I get paid, so I'm not trying to make anymore money." In other words, she doesn't charge more than she has to. While I was a very laid back, easy going bride, she would make anything work, even if last minute. The venue itself was beautiful and simple, which was right in our taste. It's at a golf course, so the scenery was really pretty and green outside. My husband and I rode golf carts out and got some good pictures by the cliffs, water, and bridge out on the course. Everyone there is super friendly. Overall, I was extremely happy with this venue and everything it included to make my day as enjoyable and stress-free as possible! :)
I had a special situation with my wedding, my now-husband was in bootcamp and we had planned to get married between him getting out of bootcamp/technical training and his first duty station. Unfortunately we only had a small idea of the time frame we were working with and couldn't set an official date.
Knowing all this, I took a tour of Berry Creek with their event cordinator, Annette. She was very understanding about my situation with the wedding date and was more than willing to be flexible! The grounds are absolutely beautiful! They provide everything for the set up (chairs, tables, cake tables)! I decided to go with them because of the outside wedding option I wanted, the delicious food, and the generous flexibility they offered! Unfortunately my wedding date bounced around a few times while the military was setting up my husband's orders. When we were finally able to set the date, it was a week and a half away. Annette had already gotten as much information from me as she could and it took only a quick phone call to finalize everything and get the wedding set up (luckily they had the day I needed available). The whole time she was pleasant to work with and very helpful, constantly insisting that she could make it work. They also never charged me additional money for changing my date, I placed 1 deposit down and that deposit went to whatever date I moved it to. My wedding was absolutely beautiful!! My only complaint is that on my wedding day there wasn't any air conditioning in the reception room, they waited until after the wedding party entered the room (approx. 45 min of the guests without air conditioning) before turning on large fans. I never got a straight answer on what happened with the air conditioning. This location is in Georgetown, TX where it gets very hot in the summer and my wedding happened in late July.
For me the pros outweight the cons in many ways, I was very pleased with this business!!
I am mostly satisfied. There were a few issues though. The first one would be that one of the fountains on the golf course was never turned on for our pictures even though that was promised to me. The second was that the AC went out the night of the rehearsal and we were promised that it would be fixed for tomorrow. Well it worked for about an hour into everything and then cut out again. They had to bring in two industrial sized fans. The fans matched my decor perfectly! Just kidding! I know things happen, and the overall experience was good. I just wish they would have offered to reduce the price that we paid because this happened but they didn't. The food was great. The bar tender was too. Be careful though on what you ask for because promises are not fulfilled here always. (the fountain, the AC, etc.) Oh, and the party area itself was beautiful, but you have to go downstairs to get to the bathroom. There is an elevator though if necessary. I'm glad I went with them even with the few hiccups. Annette is pretty easy to work with and she knows what she's doing. Oh and a great dance floor!!!
