Best Western PLUS was the perfect venue for our perfect wedding! Although small (45 total guests), Thea went above and beyond for us from the day we toured the venue to the day of the wedding. I enjoyed working with Thea because she and I kept an open line of communication via email and even got excited together throughout the planning process. Maria was also very pleasant to work with as she helped me navigate the hotel part of wedding planning and suggested I partake in their glam room, which was absolutely stunning. I would highly recommend Best Western PLUS and Cucina Calandra's for any event. Big thanks to Thea and Maria for making our special day even more special!
Great place to have your hotel room block. Communication was great and everything went smoothly. Shuttles were on time to bring guests to and from the venue for our wedding. They even give the bride and groom a free deluxe suite stay the night of your wedding as well as a bottle of wine and chocolate covered strawberries. I also used the glam room (not the new one) and it was perfect for all of my bridesmaids and moms to get ready in and made for a great experience the morning of the wedding!
I had my wedding block here and stayed here for two nights! My mother in law hosted our rehearsal dinner in the upstairs banquet room which was perfect and delicious(and 20% off if you get married at the tides!) we had a blast at the bar downstairs the night before and the night of our wedding. The morning after my dad hosted a brunch in the same banquet room as the rehearsal and it was incredible!! I had about 60 guests staying here on our wedding night and some the night before also. The shuttle service worked perfectly for us and the staff was kind and helpful throughout the whole process. Walking into our suite made me want to cry it was more than I expected and a dream come true! Thanks for hosting our friends and family and for making it a relaxing and fun experience!
We had our rehearsal dinner here, room blocks, and stayed two nights in the bridal suite. The rehearsal dinner was coordinated by the banquet manager Jodi. The food was outstanding, but they seemed like they wanted to rush us out of there even though the party was from 6:30-9:30. We had a big day coming up anyways, but they took my glass and plates away while I was mingling with guests. Everyone though complimented the food and enjoyed the atmosphere. The bridal suite was newly remodeled. It was spacious, beautiful, and perfect for getting ready in. There was a whole bright area with counters for the makeup artists and the staff bought a banquet table in with chairs for the hair stylist. It worked out perfect and no one was crammed. The shuttle service was smooth and efficient for our guests. It was a perfect place to get ready for a wedding.
This is a great hotel for a wedding block. Michelle was easy to get in touch with and kept us updated about how many people booked through our block to let us know if we should add or remove rooms from the block. The rooms were big and clean. The hotel bar is big and threw us a great after party. They also provided a free shuttle to and from the hotel and reception for our guests. The breakfast had a better selection than most hotels. Overall I would highly recommend Best Western for a wedding block.
We hosted a rehearsal dinner here, working with Jody at the on-site Calandra's Restaurant. Jody was incredibly helpful and organized and made sure everything went well. The food was quite good and affordable, and our guests enjoyed themselves in the lovely event space / ballroom upstairs where we hosted our dinner. We asked for several other small items (e.g., microphone for speeches) that were all done exactly as we asked. We would definitely recommend both the hotel's space as well as the restaurant for anyone looking to host a rehearsal dinner.
We used the Best Western in Fairfield as overnight accommodations for us and our wedding guests. Working with sales to set up room blocks was easy and they are fair. They do not charge couples for unused rooms within their wedding blocks. Instead rooms that are not booked by a deadline are simply released to the public; however, if a guest booked a room after the release date, they are still able to get a room at the discounted rate as long as they are available. Rooms were $159 plus tax and the bridal suite was complimentary on our wedding night. On our wedding night, there was bottle of wine and chocolate covered strawberries from Calandaras. Shuttles were provided to and from Mayfair Farms and there was even one wheelchair accessible shuttle that happened to be available. They kept the lounge bar open on Sunday night after our wedding at no additional cost. On Monday morning breakfast was provided for guests and there was a good variety that included an omelet station.
We booked a block of rooms here for our wedding, and every step was a hassle. Stephanie was very helpful, but didn't seem to get our messages or call us back if we didn't talk to her directly. The rooms were nice, but here were our issues:
-The groomsmen stayed Friday night, and made arrangements with the front desk to have the same rooms for Saturday night. The front desk messed this up, so when they went to clear the room, their stuff was still in it. They called me 15 minutes before the wedding to tell me that they did not check out of the room properly, and ask what they should do with their stuff. We had almost 50 rooms booked for that night, you know there is a wedding. Don't call the bride at 2:45 on the wedding day.
-The shuttle would not leave until it was 100% full. Despite the fact that there were 4 other shuttles waiting, and there were only 5 of us still cleaning up, and I asked them to leave. We had guests sitting there on the shuttle for 30 minutes, for no reason.
-They messed up the room reservations, so my parents (who booked months earlier) did not have rooms ready when they showed up, and missed the shuttle. They did give them a limo to go to the reception. So they didn't leave them high and dry, but they were late for the wedding they spent a ton of time and money on.
-The wedding was on a Saturday. Rooms were booked for the Friday before. Guests that were trying to book for Friday and Saturday were simply told that the hotel was booked, not that they could stay for Saturday night.
-They gave our guests the wrong gift bags when they checked in. Luckily, my guests actually looked at the names on the bags, and we didn't take another couples.
-They wanted my ID for me to check in. It's the bridal suite, I'm wearing a bridal gown, and it's my wedding day, I don't know where my ID is. Plus, they assured me I gave the credit card number and wouldn't need anything to check in.
Weddings are stressful enough, you shouldn't have to spend a ton of time on the phone trying to figure out why your guests can't stay when you have a block of rooms booked. You should be able to enjoy your wedding day without stressing out over shuttles, or actually having a room.
We had a great experience here! We had our rehearsal dinner at the Calandra's Mediterranean Grill and my husband stayed at the Hampton Inn the night before our wedding while I stayed at the Fairfield Executive Inn with my bridesmaids in the bridal suite(4 girls plus me). The bridal suite had plenty of room for us all to get ready in the morning, even our hair and make-up artists were commenting on how user friendly the room was for them. The shuttles back and forth to the reception (Mayfair Farms) were also really nice and clean! The breakfast at this hotel is also very good!! Overall we were very pleased with our stay.
I chose to have my guests stay at the Best Western plus Fairfield Executive Inn because my sister chose this hotel and we had a great relationship with the person in charge of planning for large parties staying over. The workers were very friendly and helpful, and they made it very easy to see a list of which guests were staying over so we could update them with information. We received an amazing price as they were willing to give me the previous year's prices since that is what my sister was able to use. The rooms were clean and Calandras restaurant, which is attached to the hotel, is always amazing. It does have a pool and other amenities which is nice, and we had an overall good experience.
I was very pleased with this hotel for me and my guests. The staff was very friendly and had wonderful service. The shuttles were on time and and the staff was able to meet all of our needs.the rooms were clean and my husband and I had a surprise in out room when we got back from our wedding. My overall experience was great. I would highly recommend this hotel.
very nice roomsgreat staff
The rooms were clean, but the service was horrible!! The "shuttle" left me at my reception hall for 2 hours after my wedding!!!!
I reserved a block of rooms for my wedding at the Fairfield Executive and was very happy with the hotel. The rate offered to my guests was very fair and lower than all the other local hotels. Shuttle services were provided to and from my wedding venue and they were on time!! I have been to many weddings where I had to wait for one shuttle to run back and forth. Fairfield Executive provided plenty of shuttles and was prompt. The Deluxe Continental breakfast was also included. It was a full breakfast and even had an omelet station. The bridal suite had a Jacuzzi, a bar, and a living room and we were able to have it for two nights for a great rate. Kate was great to work with and very accommodating.
The hotel was super clean! Our wedding suite was complimentary with a breakfast buffet in the morning. Our room, which we barely used, had a giant Jacuzzi, king sized mattress, and two flat screen TV's. iThey put a little gift bag together with chocolate covered strawberries in our room when we got back. The best part had to be the shuttle. We had a lot of military guys coming in from out of town so they stayed at the hotel; shuttled to the venue; got drunk and shuttled back! No DUI's; No accidents; No missing sailors. perfect!
The staff was extremely courteous and always ready to assist in every way. All of our guests were very pleased with the hotel. The rooms were really nice and the price was the best we found. Our bridal suite was huge! Really nice. They provided transportation to and from the hotel to our banquet hall (Grand Chalet) for all our guests. They were very accommodating! They made a special trip to get my wedding bridal party and myself over to the hall early. I don’t have a single complaint with this hotel! They were fantastic. If you’re getting married in or near Fairfield, I highly recommend this hotel!
