Mick at Better Music Services is amazing! When I emailed them to inquire about rates, he was the only one of several DJs that I contacted who actually called up my venue to see wha...
t my wedding was going to be like and how he could best entertain at it. Also, Better Music Services was the only DJ service I found that gave me both a DJ and an emcee, and the best emcee at that! His prices are very reasonable for the high quality services that he and his team provide. Uplighting is included which provided a beautiful atmosphere for the wedding. I gave Mick very little input on what we needed music-wise, just a list of the important songs to play along with some of the artists that we like to give him an idea of our musical taste. He took it from there, and everybody loved everything! His selections fit us and our party perfectly with very little direction. Throughout the wedding reception, he kept checking in with us and making sure that we were ready to do toasts, cut cake, ect. He would tell us what was going to happen next and who would speak in what order. He expertly was able to judge the room and help direct the flow of the evening perfectly. The high level of service was a big part of our amazing wedding reception. I would recommend all brides use Better Music Services for their big day!
Better Music Services was easy to work with and threw a great party. Mick took the feedback we gave him on music and made it all happen. We had a great wedding and a great time. I ...
would recommend them to anyone!
I was very impressed with the services provided by Better Music. Mick was very quick to respond to my emails/phone calls and so flexible when I needed to make changes. He and Peter...
really made sure my guests had a blast on the dance floor! He also provided my lighting, which turned out beautiful. Mick was so great at making sure this was a special day for us! I loved that he keeps up with today's technology in providing wireless microphones, and contacted other vendors he needed to work with to ensure that our day was flawless. Mick is very professional and easy to work with. I'd definitely recommend him for your DJ/MC or lighting.
For our wedding we recently had Better Music Services serve as our DJ's. They were a pleasure to deal with, as we were running around trying to deal with all of our vendors and ou...
r venue. Mick and Peter met us well before our wedding to go over basic ground rules of likes and dislikes. This was incredibly helpful for both of us as we were able to plan for our speed of wedding. In the months leading up to the wedding we slowly built a running spreadsheet of music that match the styles/cultures of myself (Persian) and my Husband (American/Hispanic). We also laid out for them the music for our ceremony. The whole experience working with Mick and Peter was great as Mick served as the MC of the event and balanced perfectly the amount and length of announcements as well as following the vibe of our wedding and its guests. The ultimate compliment that I could give Better Music Services is that throughout our wedding they were able to keep everyone on the dance floor and go back and forth between Persian music and more traditional American/Pop music. This led to an unforgettable night that not only we will treasure forever, but all of our guests as well!
If not for Mick and Peter, my guests would not have been able to hear my wedding ceremony! The ceremony was at 4, and Mick & Peter were supposed to start at 6. I am so glad that t...
hey were there very early to set up, because the microphone we were going to use in the ceremony was awful (that's what I get for asking a friend to bring one instead of hiring a pro!). Thankfully, Mick was there to loan us his.
This alone warrants a 5-star rating in my book, but it gets better. The music was awesome - they really brought the house down! My guests were up and dancing all night long. Mick really knows how to read a crowd and play music that keeps people entertained. I was having so much fun that I almost forgot about the cake cutting ceremony. Thankfully, Mick reminded us.
Many of my guests said it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding, and Mich & Peter were a huge part of that.
Also, Mick was very easy to work with. We exchanged many emails before the big day, and he answered all of my questions without making me feel like I was being a Bridezilla. His prices are competitive and worth every penny.
I recommend them highly!
Mick is great very friendly and knows how to get people out on the dance floor.
Mick did a great job at our wedding!!! From the ceremony music, to all the announcements and the dance floor... absolutely perfect! Thank you Mick, for making our special day even ...
more special!
My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon and we can't stop reminiscing about our wonderful wedding. It was absolutely perfect, and we just had a blast dancing the night aw...
ay with our family and friends. Mick really was incredible! He was so effective on the microphone directing guests from one activity to another and to the various venue patios, and the energy was great throughout the event. It was important to me to have music that appealed to all ages and tastes, and I wanted to get everyone on the dance floor, and he did it! My 80 year old grandmother, who never dances, was twirling around all night! We were all "getting low" and jumping around, it was a blast! My husband and I and our guests truly had the best night, and numerous friends and family friends have commented that the music was fantastic. We're so grateful for all Mick did at our wedding.
Mick was awesome! He took care of the music and microphones so that we did not have to worry about it. He was very professional and kept things running smoothly. We had multiple se...
t ups and kept the music moving around and he didn't miss a step. He played all the music we requested and the selections he made on his own were perfect for our guests! He does a great job at a great value! Thanks Mick!
Mick was amazing. He met with me and my now husband to get a sense of the type of ambiance we wanted on our big day, and he definitely delivered. He also knew what he was doing i...
n terms of equipment. Additionally, when I told him I was stuck in terms of choosing songs for the ceremony and gave him a really vague idea of what I had in mind, he was able to come up with the BEST song suggestions. A lot of my guests commented on how great my ceremony songs were, and all the credit goes to Mick.
But that's not what impressed me the most - what impressed me the most is that he went above and beyond his job description as a DJ. First, he brought along a partner so he could spend some time walking around the venue (very inconspicuously - didn't even notice him) to make sure the music actually sounds good to the guests. Second, he was better than my hired wedding coordinators! For example, during the ceremony I was standing partly in the shade, which usually results in not-so-great photos. So he let me know via my bridesmaids and maid of honor to take a little step forward so my photographer could get good photos. I felt really comforted by the fact that he was looking out not just for what he was hired for, but for all aspects of the wedding.
I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to write one for Mick and his team because they were simply amazing - extremely professional and knowledgable. And when you hire Mick, know that you're getting so much more than just a DJ.
Mick @ Better Music Services made our Wedding so special.
We can't say enough good things about him!
He blended in and was unnoticeable playing the best music that had people eve...
n dancing in their seats for dinner.
And when it was time for toasts or cake cutting he appeared to guide us through or introduce the next speaker.
Really really wonderful and kind. The BEST DJ we've ever experienced at a party, glad it was OUR Wedding.
EVERYONE was on the dance floor and said it was the most beautiful and most fun Wedding they'd ever been to!!
We were really impressed with Mick. AND he came highly recommended to us by another couple who's wedding he DJ'd.
He knew the location well and the music was seamless from one location to another. Music selection was what we had asked.;He was very much a in the background guy. Would have liked...
