Led by owner Jessica Barnett, the team travels throughout central Indiana, lending their expertise and organizational prowess to newlyweds-to-be. Driven by a genuine love for weddings, the aim is to bring out the best of your unique vision for a celebration that extends beyond expectations.
Joined by detail warriors Melissa, Leslie and Abby, Jessica founded Better Together Events on the belief that great things come from working as a unit. Informed by this idea, the team aims to get to know you and your fiancé to best provide a planning process that is as enjoyable as your big day. Furthermore, they continually educate themselves on the latest tips, tricks, and styles while establishing relationships with equally passionate vendors and venues.
The Better Together Events team has years of experience in logistics, planning, and organization. As planners, they offer venue selection, vendor recommendations, budget management, ceremony planning, and more. Their Wedding Day Management package is more comprehensive than a typical day of coordination package, and involves 3-5 personal consultations, including a venue visit, to ensure your needs and desires are continuously met on the journey towards a happily ever after.

We absolutely LOVED working with Better Together. Jessica and Lisa were beyond sweet, organized, professional, intentional, trustworthy and detail oriented. They made planning our wedding run so smoothly, and seamlessly took over and made sure everything was taken care of! They put together a meticulous timeline, made sure everything we cared about for our big day ran smoothly, offered up solutions and recommendations as needed, alleviated tons of stress from us the weeks leading up to the wedding, and were always available for questions via call, email, text, etc. And, after the day, they shared lots of photos and videos behind the scenes for us to reminisce on right away. We so enjoyed working with them, and we were so happy we decided to hire a wedding coordinator, and we’re grateful we found a group of people who we felt like were excited for us, and cared about all the details as much as we did. We cannot recommend them enough, and certainly couldn’t have made it all happen without them!
Better Together Events did an amazing job of helping a very indecisive couple (us) have a perfect wedding. No matter how minor a detail something was, Jessica was always quick to respond and give suggestions and support all the way through the 18 months that we had them booked for. As it got closer to wedding day, it felt like we were always a priority. We dealt with a lot of anxiety around wedding planning early on, but by wedding day we were completely at ease knowing Jessica had everything under control. All of the vendors that were recommended by BTE turned out fantastic as well. We were truly able to enjoy our day and would recommend BTE to everyone!

We got married on 5/20/23. We chose to have a wedding coordinator and I am so glad that we went with Jessica and Better Together Events! Having her assistance helped so much with coordinating and communication with all of our vendors. Jessica is very responsive and was always more than willing to answer any questions we had/ offer her advice.Making sure myself and family were able to focus on enjoying the day rather than all the details was top priority for me. Jessica created day of time lines for the vendors as well as our wedding party so everyone knew where to be and what to expect. The night before, she ran our rehearsal, took her time, and made sure everyone felt comfortable in their role. Day of she took care of all the stress and details! From placing out our decor, directing vendors, making sure bridal party was where they needed to be, and even having her assistant drive us to a close location for photos! She also planned a day after brunch at the Omni for us. You can tell she truly loves what she does and enjoys helping couples plan the best day of their lives. If you want to focus on enjoying your special day and be able to relax knowing all the details are being taken care of you can rely on Jessica and her team! A wedding is a difficult venture to navigate. My now wife and I chose a venue that required a “day of” coordinator and we weren’t initially sure what that would entail and assumed the individual would just help us in the final leg of the process. However, that’s when we reached out to Better Together Events and were partnered with Jessica to be our day of coordinator. From the very beginning of the process we could tell that Jessica and her team knew their stuff! The process of hiring Jessica and Better Together Events as our day of coordinator expanded so much further than the “final mile” of wedding planning. She helped us months in advance coordinating with our many vendors, participating in venue walk throughs and designs, ceremony planning, providing insightful suggestions, taking a lot of stress out of the planning process, and so much more even before the day of. With a lot of Jessica’s help, our special day went smoother than we could have even imagined and she was there with us every minute helping us navigate it all! Hindsight being 20/20 my wife and I both agree the value Better Together Events and Jessica provided far outweighed any costs and even if the venue hadn’t had this requirement I would hire this team again without a second thought. I would highly recommend this service to any couple looking for help!!
I honestly don't know how we would've pulled our wedding together without Jessica! Although she was our day-of coordinator, we started having meetings with her as far as three months out, and she made a point of reminding us that we could always text, email, or call her if we had questions or needed help. Jessica ran our rehearsal, organized all of our deliveries, and decorated our reception venue with the help of one of the other Better Together team members. She did so much work and radiated a confident calm the entire time! She did a lot to soothe our nerves and take care of the last-minute details that could have distracted us from our day. Jessica was constantly in contact with all of our other vendors, checking in with them and confirming that they had everything they needed so that we didn't have to worry about it. I would hire Jessica again ten times over!
She was absolutely amazing at helping me navigate our wedding day! I didn’t have to stress at all because any questions or things that came up she was already on it before I could ask them! So impressed with her, not only her professionalism, but the warm caring spirit she bought into the chaos of a wedding! 10/10 would recommend!

Jessica was so wonderful to work with as our day of wedding coordinator! We had multiple meetings prior to our wedding and unlimited access to texts and phone calls if we needed to. She really helped us out finding a backup vendor for us just 2 days before our event! She made a detailed timeline for us that really helped our day run smoothly. We would highly recommend better together events!
Jessica was a lifesaver! I decided last minute to hire a wedding coordinator which i’m so thankful I did. Jessica immediately took action and I could just feel the stress melting off my shoulders. She was easy to communicate with, detailed and very organized! She gave us ideas on things that I had never seen before which made our wedding even more unique. I’ve always heard couples say that “things will go wrong on your wedding day…” but I honestly don’t think a single thing did with ours! Everything from the timelines, small details, set up, ceremony, reception and tear down ran so smoothly!

Jessica went above and beyond to help us plan and coordinate our wedding. When we asked for help with any additional details she was always up to the task and did an exemplarily job. When we asked for a vendor recommendation, she would give us not one, but three of four options to pick from. Even after the wedding was over, she was still following up with the vendors to address any outstanding issues. If I were hiring a wedding planner again, I would definitely hire Jessica.
