The Beverage Specialists of Southwestern Michigan are absolutely top notch. Our Event Coordinator Beka was great and helped us figure out all of the details. She helped us get organized around what and how much we needed as well as being extremely accommodating with day of scheduling. The bartenders were excellent and made sure that we as the bride and groom were taken care of. I couldn't be more enthusiastic in recommending their service.

We hired beverage specialists for our wedding. Judy guided us through a seamless process. She even helped us develop (delicious) couples cocktails. I would recommend to anyone in need of bar services for their wedding!

Beverage Specialists was one of the two bar service options required by our venue. We had a seamless time working with the team. Our initial point of contact was Judy and then we switched to working with Bekah Marshke about halfway through. Bekah especially was WONDERFUL to work with. She was prompt with providing updated quotes when we made changes and was extremely attentive to detail (down to the amount of a certain ingredient in our signature drink). She did a great job communicating to our bartending team as they were both fabulous on the night of. The bartenders were so much fun to chat with and really engaged with our guests. The signature cocktails (we had 3) were wonderful and the team accommodated everything we could have asked for. We ran out of two kinds of alcohol during the reception and the bartenders gave us the option to purchase more and have it delivered (we did). They also took back and refunded any unopened alcohol. We didn’t have much leftover (just open bottles). They packed it up for us in a designated vehicle with a groomsman and did a great job cleaning up.

We had a great experience working with Beverage Specialists for our wedding in October 2022. Judy was wonderful to work with and made it easy for us to customize our bar menu including kegs and unique signature drinks. A huge bonus of their service is that they buy back anything you don't use which ended up saving us thousands of dollars compared to per-head drink services. Our only small complaint is that they were unable to obtain a few of our keg selections from their distributor and didn't let us know until the week before our wedding, requiring us to adjust our drink signs. In the grand scheme of things, we would use them again in a heartbeat!

We booked beverage specialist for our wedding, and they were wonderful! Judy,who helped us with all our questions and the multiple times we wanted to change something in our quote. She was very flexible and accommodating. Terry and Bobby were our bartenders during the night and they were great!! They were both personable and professional. Terry went above and beyond for us, he was with us most of the day and set up an incredible mimosa bar while we were getting ready. He checked back in and replenished things very quickly when needed. We can’t thank him enough! We recommend using beverage specialist for your wedding day!

Jen was responsive and helped us determine the correct amount of beer and wine for our wedding. She coordinated delivery directly with our planner and venue, making things easy on us. Prices were fair and we ended up using almost everything we ordered. Huge plus is that they buy back anything that is unopened at the end of the night. Would recommend!

We had a great experience with Beverage Specialist! They were incredibly easy to work with! Jen was so nice and helpful throughout the entire process of picking what we needed. Planning a wedding is stressful, but Jen was awesome. She picked wine for us that was affordable and delicious that we got so many compliments on! We didn’t run out of anything either which was awesome. The bartenders they provide were great as well, always had a smile on their face! We were required to use Beverage Specialists through our wedding venue (Hidden Vineyard). From other reviews we had read we were really worried about running out of alcohol/drinks the day of our wedding, but come day of we were provided with amazing bartenders and no issues with running out of drinks. The issues and frustrations we had with the company was the communication leading up to our wedding day. We continually needed to have them provide updated quotes because the quotes that were provided to us from the event specialist were always incorrect (either items that we wanted were missing or items that we wanted removed werent taken off), and mind you each time they send you an updated quote they raise the administration fee... so that was really frustrating to deal with. There was also an instance where the event specialist we were working with quit. No communication for a new contact or anything of the sort was provided... so the way we found out was when we reached out to our original contact the month of the wedding to finalize details and received an "I no longer work with the company" automatic email reply... Overall the communication and professionalism of the event staff at beverage specialists could really use some improvement. Other than that we had no issues day of or with receiving or money back for unused alcohol that we had purchased per their policy.

Great flexibility and pricing. We went with mostly local Michigan beer and wine which was very popular with guests. The bartenders poured strong cocktails that our guests appreciated but no one got too drunk. Lastly, we had some alcohol left over that we got to keep and received a modest refund for unopened alcohol. Overall great price and experience.

We had a great experience with Beverage Specialists if SW Michigan. From the start of our planning Judy was easy to work with, was able to make recommendations in our budget and that fit what we wanted for our reception, and responded quickly to questions we had. The day of the reception the bar servers were friendly, fast and professional. We are very happy with how everything turned out.

Great bartenders. As the bride they knew I wanted the drinks coming. Anytime my glass was low they found me and handed me a new drink- which was just what the doctor ordered.

Do yourself a favor and do not bother wasting your time or money with this company. Below is a list of horrible actions displayed by our bartender and the manager, Mike: -We had purchased a local craft beer (Old Nation M43 IPA) that holds a lot of sediment at the bottom due to the style of beer that it is. It is recommended on the can that the can itself either gets rolled for 3 seconds on it's side or turned upside down before serving it, which was brought to the attention to the bartenders. The female bartender agreed to the simple request, but the male bartender's response was, "I don't have time for this shit", which was said in front of 4 guests. Our guests were shocked that he chose to use profanity openly in front of many people. -It was communicated to our account manager, well in advance, that we would be doing signature drinks. With this, we purchased certain products that we wanted included in them, but our account manager never communicated this to the bartender and when we approached him letting him know, he fought with us on the products and insisted we didn't use them. -We had rented specific glasses for my signature drink, which again was communicated to the bartenders. They did not use the glassware, but worse, at one point the bartenders switched over to plastic when there was still rented glassware available to be used. This was wasted money on our part since we had to pay for each glass rented from the catering company. -We had the bar closed down for dinner and a wine pour, yet my uncle who had asked for another glass of wine was told that by him that the bar was closed down. This made absolutely no sense as we had requested wine service during dinner. Another guest had asked what type of red and white wine was being offered and his response, again rudely put, "A local red and white." We only had 1 red and 1 white option, so it's disappointing that he couldn't take a second to look at the bottle to relay the information to the guest. -During dinner we were approached about running out of certain alcohol/products. We gave instruction on what to replenish and what to cut, but when we checked back in at 10:15 p.m., we were told that the items we requested replenishment on were not restocked and they wanted to charge us a fee for the undelivered products. -My brother-in-law went up to order a Truly and was told by him that they were out. Less than a minute later, my other brother-in-law went up and ordered 3 Truly's, all of which were served to him in front of him. We also went home with several left over cans. -Communicated to our account manager that we would be providing the red wine for the evening. We received none of the leftover wine as we were supposed to, and we had to make a separate trip to MI to pick it up. -Gave us several unopened bottles of alcohol and mixers, which we were supposed to get refunded for unused products. They owed us over $200, but claimed they only owed us $40 despite sending us a receipt that showed what our unused products were. The overall attitude and behavior displayed by this bartender was unacceptable, hands down. When I brought these complaints to the manager, Mike, he was dismissive, rude, and didn't apologize for the behavior we and our guests experience. They have displayed incredibly sleezy business practices, which seems to fit them perfectly. If 0 stars were an option, I would have 100% chosen that.

We hired Beverage Specialists for our wedding reception. We really enjoyed working with Jill and her team. We felt that they were very easy to work with in designing the drink menu and tasting of local wines for our guests. We had numerous compliments on the quality of the bartender Mike, and he kept a large group served appropriately throughout the evening. We greatly appreciate working with Jill and the team, and would recommend their services to friends and family in the future.

Beverage Specialists is awesome! Jill is very nice, professional, and great to work with. Our bartenders were awesome too. It seemed like they knew everyone's drink by the end of the night!

We used Beverage Specialists of Southwest Michigan for our wedding on October 6th and I couldn't have been happier with the service they provided. Bartenders were quick and efficient, as well as friendly as courteous. Jill was very helpful and answered all emails within a day or so I my having sent them. The wine choices she put together were spectacular, especially given that all I told her was that I wanted sweet wines. Everyone seemed pleased with the options and the pricing, as far as bartenders go, was pretty reasonable. The service was amazing. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone looking for bartending/beverage services.

Beverage Specialists did a great job at our wedding! They even came to replenish during the wedding when we ran out of alcohol. Very easy to work with, recommend.

While our venue required that we use Beverage Specialist for our bar service, I’m so happy that they did! Judy was so helpful every step of the way and she made sure we got exactly what we wanted. Our bartenders the day of were amazing as well!

They are great! Judy answered all of our questions in a timely manner. She helped us come up with a good menu selection for drinks in our price range. The day of our wedding the staff was great. They were fast and the drinks were good. There was never a long line for drinks. We suggest going with Beverage Specialist if you are looking for a bartending service for your next event.

We had our wedding and reception at the Veranda at the Whitcomb over Memorial Day weekend of 2018. Judy was a joy to work with, and the planning for our reception was a breeze! We got SO many compliments on how friendly the bartenders were, and they NAILED our signature drink (think Bahamian blue with swizzle sticks). Our guests were talking about them all evening and how wonderful the bar service was! Thanks so much!

I loved working with Beverage Specialists. They were so easy to work with. We filled out a document for them and had a call to figure out the final details. The bartenders were great and our guests really put them through their paces. They even went on a run for more liquor after checking with us when our guests made their way through the liquor we had planned on.

Great job. Simple. We bought liquor for a byob venue and they helped put together what we needed. Fair prices. They deliver and will take back anything unopened. They will run more liquor to your venue on the day of if you run out !

Highly recommend booking Beverage Specialists for your wedding day. So easy to work with from beginning to the end. Judy and Jill were both so prompt in their communication, we can't thank them enough. The bar tenders were GREAT on our wedding day (9/3/17). Truly a pleasure to work with.
