Overall, we had a great experience working with Julianna. She was easy to get in touch with from the moment we hired her and leading up to the wedding. She had good communication, and answered all our questions in a clear manner. Throughout the whole experience, she was friendly and professional. Day of, she did a great job keeping everything (and everyone) running on time and moving along. Our wedding went so smoothly! (At least from my perspective; not sure if there were things she dealt with that I wasn't aware of). She also did a good job setting up all our decor according to my specifications, and taking some creative freedom when necessary (which I told her to please do as needed). We got lots of compliments on our decor too! Overall, I would recommend Julianna and Beyond the Event as a solid Day-Of/Month-Of Coordinator.

I wanted to leave a review for Juliana and her company in Beyond the Event. I am not a big person on leaving reviews, but considering that my husband and I just got married, it only felt right, because we had the most amazing vendors.
We hired Juliana in 2022 about mid year but our wedding wasn't planned until November 2023. We hired her for month of day of , and even though it was over a year away, Juliana was the kindest; in that she still took calls and helped guide me throughout the year , which she didn't have to, because that wasn't a service we hired her for, but her generosity and kindness helped me and my now husband so much in planning our wedding
She was very transparent with us, always communicated either through phone or email. She gave me so much advice and then the closer it started to get toward our wedding was even more helpful. We met her during the first walk through and Even our families loved her. She had told us at the beginning of 2023 that she wouldn't be able to physically attend our wedding because her sister was getting married the same day, but she did have two staff members, Jessi and Melissa, in which were going to be there at the day of.
My husband and I had no problems with that considering she had helped us already through the entire way and we are huge on supporting small businesses. She helped assist the day of, and even though it was her sisters wedding, she still managed to FaceTime and communicate during the wedding with her staff to make sure that everything was running smoothly. She even contacted my mom and she also messaged me the day of congratulating us Which I felt was the sweetest thing she could have done.
Coming up to the day of our wedding her staff, Jessi and Melissa coordinated everything so beautifully. They actually helped assist with our decor, movers and I and my husband's vision of our wedding and the way we expected it to look, absolutely came to life, they were on time with everything. The decorations were exactly how I showed them the placement of everything the guests even complemented, Jessie and Melissa , and how much fun they were and how sweet they were. I had a friend who wasn't so comfortable sitting on this one chair. She felt like she was going to possibly break the chair. She went to Jessi to see if there was anyway that she could switch chairs. Jessi made it happen and made her feel so comfortable that she could assist her. It was honestly really great to have a company that not only was there to help my husband and I but also tended to our guests.
I just want to say a huge thank you to Beyond the Events owner and staff for making our important day one we will never forget.

We were scammed by Beyond the Event and Juliana, and we are now left with permanent trauma. I do not want to write this review, but I am doing it to warn others. Even as I type this, I genuinely do not feel safe and I worry for my family, friends and entities, knowing what Juliana is capable of. We are all on high alert. My intention from this post is not to shame or hurt a business, but to speak truth about what Beyond the Event/Juliana did to us.
We hired Juliana to be our wedding planner/day-of-coordinator. In the coming months, we often felt Juliana only had her own best interests at heart. For example, she tried to sell us her flowers/centerpieces (which we found overpriced and amateurish) when we could get them for FREE as it was included in our catering package. Juliana tried to convince us her arrangements were better than the caterer’s. Despite this, we decided to give Juliana the benefit of the doubt and kept her on board.
Right before our wedding, Juliana emailed that she would not be coming to our wedding because something personal came up last minute. The email of her explanation looked suspicious- like a template used before. Juliana said she would be sending some people (who were strangers to us) to our wedding. However, our caterer and venue coordinator (and later photographer) told us that Juliana had planned on skipping out of our wedding for quite some time- there was nothing last minute. We had no choice but to fire Juliana for breaking her own contract and for lying. We could not trust her. On the day of our wedding, we saw on Instagram that Juliana was likely coordinating another wedding. She was trying to double dip! We were later able to confirm this. We could not fully enjoy the moment because of the overall shock we had just experienced.
When we asked for our money back, Juliana initially refused. Later, Juliana said she would return our money if we signed a contract that said we would not write any negative reviews about her on Google and other wedding websites. This is absolutely illegal. If you are wondering why there are few negative reviews about Beyond the Event, this may be it.
We sought counsel from a lawyer who told us that this looked like a case of “fraud in the inducement.” The lawyer wrote a demand letter for us and eventually with a court order, Juliana had to refund our full payment without any stipulations. We felt like we were bullied and gaslit by Juliana, to the point of mental fatigue and anxiety, throughout this process. For example, after we fired Juliana, she obtained a private document that contained personal information about our family and friends and tried to use it against us. What a violation.
I would NOT recommend Juliana or Beyond the event. If you do decide to hire her, here are my suggestions: do not share any personal information with Juliana. Make sure you have Juliana’s business address. Read the contract carefully- if it says Juliana is to be present for the wedding, make sure she shows up. If it says that others can take Juliana’s place- make sure you have them involved from the start so that you can see if you can trust them with your guests. Put all conversations with Juliana on paper. Do not pay Juliana until after the wedding. Pay in a protected method, not Venmo or Zelle. Beware of her lies: Juliana tried to tell us that back at the time of signing the contract, she informed us that because she is a military wife, she needed to have the freedom to leave at any moment, so her actions were acceptable. She never told this to us. If you needed that liberty, why would we or anyone hire you? It is unethical to use your position as a military wife to swindle people. I have never seen someone so comfortable with lying as Juliana is.
I am sad to know that this was not the first time Juliana has double dipped on wedding coordination duties. To the other couples out there who were hurt by Juliana and silenced: I am sorry and I deeply resonate with your pain. But I am here to speak out for all whose wedding day was cruelly stolen from us by Juliana.
Juliana Holmes of Beyond the Event deliberately misrepresented her availability to us for months and ruined the memories of our wedding. Instead of enjoying our first few months of marriage, we were cornered to take her to court.
In September of 2022, my fiancé (now wife) and I signed a contract with Juliana Holmes to be our wedding day coordinator for February 25, 2023. The contract states that her duty is to provide on-site coordination for 8 hours. Five days before our wedding and after we paid her in full, Juliana notified us in an email thread response that she would not be coordinating our wedding due to a “last minute” military commitment.
When we spoke to our other vendors right afterwards, they said that Juliana had given them advanced prior notice 43 days before of her planned absence.
To fulfil her own contracted responsibilities, Juliana offered to send 2 people we had never met or spoken to, nor had visited the site, or been involved with planning our wedding to take her place. At this point, our trust in her as a person or a professional was completely eroded, and we feared that she would further sabotage or disrupt our wedding. Later, we found out that Juliana was actually coordinating another wedding on that same day & time for 10 hours. We could not see how Juliana could attend a wedding and military course at the same time.
After we parted ways with her, she refused to refund us our money, although she breached her own contract. It should be noted that Juliana also sent us a “silencing” agreement on February 27, 2023 offering our money back with the contingency that we would not write negative reviews about her—in which we refused.
On June 13, 2023, we were forced to face Juliana Holmes in court, in which a judge at the Long Beach Court House ruled in our favor: Juliana had breached her contract by not showing up to our wedding. Note that while presenting to the judge during the hearing, Juliana told the judge & court that she frequently double-books weddings. (Court case number #23LBSC00353 Superior Court of California Los Angeles South District)
In my entire life, I have never met anyone who is as untrustworthy as Juliana Holmes. I would caution anyone to use her services. She misrepresented her availability to us from the beginning and misled us during months of planning. I wonder how many other couples have gone through this exact situation with her but have never spoken up. If you do decide to use Juliana, my suggestion would be to hold her accountable to everything that is states in the contract and to correspond through email as the records may prove useful later on.
We suffered emotional distress because of Juliana’s actions because it was our one and only wedding day. She ruined the memories of our wedding, honeymoon, and the start of our marriage. My goal is to warn other couples, so they don’t have to go through this!
Lastly, I want to note that during and after this whole ordeal, Juliana has never once apologized. I cannot give negative or ZERO stars on this platform, as one star even feels generous. Beware of Juliana Holmes and Beyond the Event.
I recently had my wedding and the day was absolutely perfect. There were some bumps along the way with my venue but Juliana from Beyond the Event made sure that everything on her end was taken care of and did whatever she could to help. She also did my florals and I am so happy with how everything turned out. My bouquet and the centerpieces were absolutely beautiful. She made sure the day ran smoothly, provided great input, and it was the best day of my life.

Beyond the event did an amazing job. She was very professional and friendly. Juliana replied to my text messages right away and made sure that I had everything that I wanted in my wedding. She also created my centerpieces which were amazing the floral selection we’re just beautiful.
Everything was always on schedule and on point, she made sure that we had plenty of dancing time. Thank you so much for making our dream wedding come true everything was so beautiful and amazing.
Beyond the event was amazing to work with!! They were kind, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable in what they do!! They made my wedding simple and painless removing the stress we thought we would have!! They took great care of us and would recommend Juliana to anyone looking for a wedding planner!
So happy I had Beyond the Event at my wedding on 8/8/21. You will not regret having Juliana! We planned my wedding in 2 months and no one there would have known. It did not look or feel like a last minute wedding. I am also glad I had her design all my florals because they looked beautiful. Loved my bouquet. Had so many compliments from guests. She also helped me with all the details I didn’t think about and would have not remembered. I am so glad I trusted her vision with decisions from napkins to silverware to plates, decor etc. bc everything looked cohesive. When in doubt just trust her and allow Beyond The Event to do what they do best. Bonus! She was kind and never made me feel like I was asking a dumb question. She was polite and positive which is needed on your wedding day. She was also punctual and assertive which helped with the other vendors since some of them did not arrive on time. She still managed to get everything set up on time despite those few hiccups. Being a COVID time bride is another level of stressful but Juliana helped take so much stress off my plate. She even brought a content creator. So cool! What else can I say other than I am forever grateful🙏 ❤️
Juilana and the beyond the event team were fantasic and able to roll with the changes that occurred as a bride in the time of covid, they made the night a seamless process. Definitely would recommend them for your wedding or event !

Such an amazing experience with Juliana! I was the maid of honor for my bestie’s wedding and she was the first one who came to mind. I’ve worked in the industry myself, and know that it takes professionalism and an amazing attitude to handle all aspects of a wedding day. And boy oh boy, there are naturally things that won’t go as planned, but with a last minute find of a DJ, and not having the proper linens delivered, Juliana handled it all with so much grace and patience. She took initiative and made sure my bestie had an amazing day. With everything that went on behind the scenes, the guests had no clue! I would highly recommend her in a heartbeat. So thankful for her and the wonderful experience!
As a professional wedding DJ, I have had the pleasure of working with many different coordinators. So, I can appreciate the expertise and extreme professionalism that Juliana from Beyond the Event delivered for our mutual client. Working with Juliana made everything much easier, and I was able to deliver to my best performance because she was so on point with running the reception. She had all the planning materials (timeline, music, etc) prepared in advance, and she is an excellent communicator. If you are looking for a coordinator to help you plan, and to ensure that your wedding runs smoothly I highly recommend Juliana from Beyond the Event!
I cannot to put into enough words how amazing Juliana was! She made our day so smooth and worry free. She had total control of everything. All of my guests and family were just so amazed how she was so attentive and helpful. I was one of those brides who thought I did not need a planner and I could do everything on my own, but let me tell you brides out there, we sadly can’t. Juliana is the best of the best. Juliana and her team are Phenomenal. Juliana and her team were all around the best choice for my son and Daughter (in laws) wedding. They did an outstanding job and were the best fit for our special day. I would highly Beyond the Event as one of your wedding vendors! Since I was navigating various changes because of COVID, I decided to hire a day of coordinator for my wedding. Juliana was the PERFECT fit. She was extremely flexible, very organized, and an absolute pleasure to work with. For the reception, she went out of her way to make sure everything was set up properly... even last minute decorating changes (because of the rain). Throughout the wedding, she was very attentive and didn't ask me about any details unless necessary. Beyond the Event, thank you for everything, and making my day so very memorable and special.
I originally hired Beyond the Event for my wedding florals and when I met with Juliana, she was extremely receptive to my budget and my vision based purely on Pinterest photos! The biggest highlight of the florals was my last minute decision to include a King Potrea flower as the statement flower in my bouquet. I asked Juliana about including it less than one month away from the wedding and she and the florist made it happen! The King Potrea was my husband's late grandmother's favorite flower and it's been included in every bridal bouquet of her grandchildren's weddings. It was as surprise to my mom-in-law and she burst into tears when she saw it, it was a very special moment and such a great way to honor a loved one who's no longer with us.
After facing the very many challenges of being a 2020 bride, I became overwhelmed around a month before the wedding. I wasn't sleeping, my anxiety was through the roof and then finally I made the best decision I could have ever made by reaching out to Juliana and hiring her on for coordination services in addition to the florals. Not only did she deliver the florals, but she picked up our cake, transported & set up all our decor items at the venue, she coordinated everything for the ceremony and the reception, AND she coordinated the after party that we hosted at a different location.
When it comes to picking a wedding coordinator I think the most important qualities are communication, professionalism, and the ability to remain cool and collected. Juliana exceeded my expectations on all fronts. Despite not being a local bride, we had several Facetime calls, she quickly responded to all my text messages and emails. Juliana was super professional with all my other vendors and seamlessly coordinated with every moving part. The best -- Juliana was calm and helped keep me calm. A few days before the wedding when I was stressing out, she sat me down and asked me --okay what's stressing you out? She listened and talked out everything that was on my mind and I suddenly felt relaxed and super fortunate that I had someone like her to help me. Even when we ran slightly behind schedule due to speeches being loooooonger than expected (kindly suggest time limits to your speech-givers! haha), Juliana was quick on her feet and found immediate solutions to keep us on track - miracle worker!
Lastly, Juliana is an overall kind person. Even my guests mentioned several times how much they loved my coordinator and how great of a job she did. I promise, you won't regret hiring Juliana!

I watched Julianna in action and could not be more impressed. My son & daughter-in-love’s day was pure magic because of Julianna’s expertise in coordination. She was friendly, professional, detail oriented, organized, attentive to our needs and so much fun! She was with us from early morning until the reception ended making certain everything went smoothly. Six months later, We are still talking about how perfect the day was. Loved working with Juliana! We worked a wedding together in February 7th, 2020 (me as the photographer, her as the coordinator) and the whole day went by so smooth! She always communicated with myself and all the vendors to make sure we were all always on the same page. Hope we get to work together again soon!
Juliana at Beyond the Event was absolutely wonderful to work with. Juliana was attentive, offered suggestions and creative ideas and was extremely organized. She was amazing with juggling the information coming at her from the bride and groom and their respective families... we were a handful and she handled it like a pro! On the day of the wedding her entire team was a pleasure to work with. Friendly, attentive, and extremely efficient in keeping things on schedule. They not only helped with situations as they arose, they actually anticipated the issues that could arise and were prepared for anything that came at them. We were very pleased with the overall service and would highly recommend Beyond the Event to our friends and family needing wedding coordinator services.
