Scott was a pleasure to work with, keeping the right mix of music going to keep our guests happy on the dance floor. He even worked with a friend of ours, a square dance caller, to add to the fun of the evening. Scott is professional, respectful, and courteous. Can't say enough wonderful things about him.

Big Cat was very professional with our wedding, and they brought their experience on how to make it memorable. They came as part of a wedding package with Encore North Shore, use to be Wedgewood, in Wadsworth, IL. Overall, we are happy with their service.

Big cat entertainment did my wedding on 10/5/19. It was nothing short of amazing! The announcements were timely and professional, the music was exactly what we asked for and the lights and equipment were top notch! Could not have asked for a better experience from our DJ. Thank you Scott and Big Cat Entertainment for a wonderful night my wife, myself and our guests will never forget!

Scott was a great MC. When we had our phone meeting with him 10 days prior to the event, we told him we wanted the last hour to be only hip hop. He then said well... we will see who is still there. I then said yeah.... this is what we would like. He then said that for his reputation, he will only play clean versions of songs. We said, of course! Completely understand, there are plenty of radio versions for lots of hip hop songs. We sent him a list of like 5 or so songs that were a similar vibe to what we wanted him to play, thinking that should give him a good idea of what we're asking. It was just after 9pm and he was playing pop so I approached him and requested him to only play hip hop for the rest of the night. He then said, well there wasn't many songs on your list and remember, I only play clean songs and it looks like there are still grandparents here. So he told me if I gave him songs to play that he would play them. I understand respecting elderly, I'm all about it. However, they are not the ones paying him hundreds of dollars to make their wedding unforgettable, we are. It also seemed like a bit of an accuse as neither of us even had grandparents there. And we had a meeting with him almost 2 weeks prior to our event explaining what we wanted.. we're not paying you to push play on a playlist we make ourselves. We felt like he was asking us to do his job for him and still didn't really deliver on what we expected. He did well at playing the songs we requested for specific moments. He was also flexible, we asked him to add a song for our entrance that was different than what we had previously discussed and he got it done no problem. He insisted to not worry about time that he would run the show and he did jus that. He announces the activities and such, which was awesome. He also did a good job at suggesting activities for fun photo opportunities getting the crowd involved, those were great! Overall, Scott was an amazing MC and knew how to get everyone involved at times through night. However, if you and your spouse really love hip hop/rap or want to get a little hood towards the end of your night with the friends that want to have a blast with you, this is not your DJ. If you specifically don't want hip hop played at your wedding, he will be perfffect for you!

Scott was super nice and helpful before and during our wedding. Even when our ceremony pianist bailed the Monday before our wedding, he sweetly and confidently stepped up and did our music for our ceremony!! Has a great idea of how to run a fun dance-floor and make the wedding a fun and personal production. Thank you, Scott!

Scott took great care of us! He was professional from the first phone call through the entire wedding day. He made sure that we had all our songs were good and that our guests were having a great time on the dance floor. He went above and beyond and we could not be any happier with our DJ. I would definitely recommend Big Cat Entertainment for the DJ!!

Scott was amazing! He has done several friend weddings and it sounds like more to come! Very user friendly website. Arrived on time. Followed our instructions perfectly (in terms of what to play and what not to play). Kept the party going all night! Used him for cocktail hour and dancing (not ceremony due to church service). Very reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone getting married. He creates such a fun atmosphere. Uplighting was included!

To preface, our vendor had a package deal with DJs and this was not our first choice in DJs as our venue had a last minute change in vendors about a week before our wedding. When I talked with the DJ, they made it sound like everything I had filled out earlier for the previous DJ was with them and there were no problems with any of the song choices we had. When I spoke with my actual DJ about 2 days prior to the wedding, thats when I had a bad feeling. The DJ was very into himself and didn't fully listen to everything I had to say on what we wanted for the night. He kept cutting me off while I was talking, tried to make me change my mind about song choices, and was just overall unprofessional. When we were finished talking, the last thing he told me was "Sometimes brides get upset with me, so if you don't like something the night of, just tell me and I can maybe fix it". That just didn't settle well with me. The night of the actual wedding, my husband and I spoke with him prior to the reception to review everything one last time on when the garter/bouquet toss would be, first dance, etc. Those things did not happen when they were supposed to. My MOH had to ask him 3 times to stop playing music to do the garter/bouquet toss. Then during the garter toss, our requested song was changed by him and he only played it for about 20 seconds when we obviously wanted it the whole time. Most of our songs were fine, but only about 3 of our 8 must played songs were actually played. My MOH again asked for specific songs to which he told her "if the bride wants it, she can come up here and tell me herself". Mind you, I'm of course trying to mingle with everyone there and didn't think I needed to oversee everything he was doing. The final kicker was at the end of the night when we were doing our final send of and he kept trying to tell everyone to go out the wrong set of doors. I went up to him to ask him to tell everyone the correct doors and he kept talking over me so instead, I had to stand in the middle of the dance floor to yell over him to direct them. They were not professional and I wish I had my old DJ that I trusted. We all get to laugh about how bad the DJ was now when we look back on the day.

Chris was awesome! We got multiple compliments from guests about how great he was. Our reception was high energy throughout and the dance floor was packed. He even pulled out some sweet dance moves. He was easy to work with and handled last minute changes in stride. Definitely gets a great recommendation from us! – Dani and Sarah

Our DJ from Big Cat (our venue’s package DJ company) Chris, was a nice guy who had a good personality. We were happy with the music he played during the reception-lots of people were out dancing on the dance floor all night. He was very helpful with making announcements for photos, releasing tables for dinner, helping with toasts, tosses, dances, etc.-they were all executed according to plan and announced well. It was a nice touch that he added some small dance lights and picked the color of his dj booth to match our colors. We were only disappointed with 2 things- a specific edit we requested for the mother/son dance-we wanted a line removed/downplayed, but somehow the edit made the line more noticeable. The second was that the wrong song was played for our recessional at the end of our ceremony, which was disappointing since we spent quite a bit of time picking ceremony music and had provided titles and links. Overall it was a good experience, but some more attention to detail would have made this a 5 Star review.

What can I say about Scott and Big Cat Entertainment… I honestly could not have been more pleased. He kept the party going all night - I don’t think the dance floor was empty once! Not only did Scott come dressed to the nines but it was clear that he loves what he does - and he’s great at it! He was so flexible with last minute requests and even let my husband break out his harmonica for an impromptu performance haha! One thing I especially liked was the snowball dance which I had no clue what it was prior to the wedding. Basically, the bridal party starts dancing and then everyone grabs someone standing around and leads them to the dance floor. It was a great way to get the party started and get everyone dancing - I’ve had a few of my guest say how much they liked that. It takes away the awkwardness of being the first one on the dance floor! I owe such a large part of the nights success to Scott and he will definitely be my first choice for any future DJ or other entertainment needs!

We could not have been happier with Scott and his Team. Scott worked closely with us to ensure everything went off smooth and without a hitch. He played the music we requested during our ceremony and everything was timed perfectly. Our reception went exactly as planned. Scott played the music we requested and provided a well balanced mix of music throughout the evening. The dance floor was active all night long. From our first dance to our last, it was a night we will never forget!

Scott is great! He truly makes sure that once the reception comes, the B & G can enjoy it and not have to worry about the timeline at all and thats exactly what he did. He was so patient while I constantly kept sending my Husband over to request new songs hahaha, and he felt the crowd and played songs that people were most responsive too - which was great because I didn't know what songs to pick! Nonetheless, he was great at following the songs we did give him as well as the do not play list. It was such a great night, Scott had a huge part in making it fun!

We were highly recommended Scott through our venue and were excited to work with him. We received the initial generic email thanking us for our business and asking us to fill out a worksheet of songs we wanted and special events we wanted throughout our ceremony/reception. Basically, we spent hours picking out our selections and Scott maybe played 7 of the >3hr playlist we gave him. He also gave me a hard time for wanting to do a 5 minute long dance with my dad and was very pushy about the dances/events we didn’t want to do at our wedding. He was also poor at communicating as I had to email him to set up a meeting 2 weeks before our wedding (hadn’t heard from him since the generic email) and again didn’t hear back from him for 4 days after that. In addition to that we thought we were getting a good deal and discount by using him through the venue but ended up having to pay an additional $400 for subwoofers and lighting; I honestly wish we could’ve used the money toward a better dj that provides good sound and ambience already.

I had my wedding yesterday and Scott was perfect!! When he said to ignore the timeline, that he got it all covered... he means it!! I'm a control freak and I was able to let go and truly enjoy the night. We had some specific songs we wanted him to play but overall we just had him choose since he's the expert and it was great! People were dancing and jumping around... high energy!! Highly recommend :)

Scott was absolutely amazing! He was prompt with all the planning details via emails and phone calls and really made sure everything ran smoothly on the big day! He helped organize the time line of events and made sure we stayed on track, provided a great atmosphere with fun lighting, and had everyone out on the dance floor! I'd highly recommend Big Cat Entertainment.

Scott with Big Cat Entertainment was fantastic! He suggested so many fun and different ideas for ways to get everyone on the dance floor at our reception and we got so many comment from guests afterwards on how fun he made it. His music selections were perfect and he did a great job of keeping the party going. He met us immediately after the ceremony to give us a quick run down on the rest of the night and then was also incredibly informative during the reception. We never had to remember anything at all. He'd just always come and get us when it was time for the next thing, so we were able to enjoy the party ourselves. I highly recommend Big Cat. He was so professional, so kind and most of all so much fun. We had zero stress at all working with Scott. He kept everything easy going and fun. We couldn't have been happier with him and would recommend him to anyone wanting a stress free and super fun reception!
