Best venue ever! Cindy and Brad were so helpful and accommodating. The barn itself is gorgeous and the views are breathtaking. Our guests were stunned by the beauty!
Our wedding day was a dream come true, and that was partially due to our ceremony and reception being at the Big Yellow Barn! The views (which were really important to us) and historic barn were the perfect backdrop for our special day and just the right combination of rustic and classy. My husband and I both loved the historic touches as well as the beautiful strung lights throughout the barn. We worked very closely with Cindy and Brad, who provided suggested vendors, advice, and were also hired to handle our day of coordination. We couldn't be happier with how our special day turned out and would highly recommend both the venue and working with them.
This venue is absolutely beautiful, from the old barn to the expansive backdrop the Bridger Mountains provide. There is ample space for the bridal party to get ready and plenty of indoor and outdoor space for guests to have a good time.
The owners are nice people, especially when first meeting with them. They provide you with a list for many different vendors they have used and recommend. Throughout our experiences with them our views or perceptions of them changed.
We had a wedding during the pandemic with a small group of about 50-60 guests. With many unknowns with the pandemic we were faced with the thought of post-pointing our wedding. Early during the pandemic we received communications from the venue stating we may cancel for 1/2 our money back or if we decided to postpone at that time we would have to chose a week day the next year. If the time came we were within a couple weeks of the event and government would not allow such events/gatherings to happen then we could reschedule for a weekend day the next year. The contract was unnerving to say the least. One would think that during a global pandemic people could cancel their event for the sake everyone's health, without having to lose out on thousands of dollars. Further communications followed stating we would have to do x, y, and z due to the pandemic, which was all fine. We didn't mind the dancing had to be all outdoors (with greater than 50 guests) as we had an August wedding. It was great they set the dining area up to meet COVID restrictions. One of the things that rubbed me the wrong way was being told music outdoors had to stop at 9 PM and how it was handled. We were told the owners would come and move the speakers indoors to continue dancing at 9 PM(as long as we had less than 50 people, which we did at that time). Outdoor quiet hours were at 9 PM so neighbors would not be disturbed (the owners were the only true neighbors as other houses were ~1 mile away). 9 PM came around and the owner turned the music off. He did not move the equipment inside like we were told was going to happen, when asked about it he was rude. We moved indoors and used the speaker that was there from the toasts. 11 PM came around and this was the time the party needed to stop and clean up needed to start. Owners came in and start throwing our stuff away prior to our families packing things up even though our families were cleaning at the same time the owners were there.
All in all a great venue. I feel as though the owners are concerned more about the dollar signs than providing an experience, they just do not appear to enjoy owning a venue and hosting events. Maybe it was the pandemic that brought out a side of them other people didn't see, maybe not. I just hope people have a better experience than we did.
What a great place for a wedding reception! Many of our guests were from out of town and they loved the view and the feel of the barn. We are so happy that we chose to celebrate our wedding at the Big Yellow Barn! Cindy and Brad were responsive and easy to work with, especially as we were planning from afar.
We got married here over Labor Day weekend this year and had the most wonderful time. We were planning the wedding from out of town so chose the venue with my mom and a friend looking at it for us. With their enthusiastic approval, we put down the deposit. The venue's website photos perfectly reflect the barn and its setting. We got a lot of compliments from guests and event he band about the beauty of the venue - rustic-ish, but refined for a barn. It may not be the cheapest out there, but you get a lot of space and options for indoor and outdoor activities. We brought lawn games, which were a big hit and easily accommodated. They do charge additional for things like chair and table setup and take down and end of the evening cleanup, but I think that's typical. The owners Cindy and Brad were super responsive to all of our questions and requests and in the end, it was worth it to us to pay for them to do pretty much everything so we could go home at the end of the night without worrying about cleanup or making our guests stay late to do that. A friend went the next day to pick stuff up and it was all ready for her and all she had to do was load it in the car. We had great time and a very memorable event that both we and our guests will remember very fondly.
We got married at the Big Yellow Barn this summer and everything was perfect! The owners are an absolute joy to work with and are very responsive. Everyone raved about how beautiful the venue was. I would highly recommend the Big Yellow Barn to anyone looking for an event space!
The Barn is a wonderful place for a wedding! The backdrop is to die for and the character of the Barn gives the event a rustic feel. We had a great time and would recommend it to everyone.
