She was patient and answered all my questions, even if I had to ask multiple times lol. Leading up to the event she was always easy to get a hold of and always open and honest. We chose to do the Villa's summer deal that had been offered to us which made everything a lot easier on us since some of the vendors were included in this package (catering, florist, DJ, Tables, linens, outdoor AC tent). This made the planning process a lot more simple for me since I didn't have to go out and search for each of these. The day of the wedding everything went off without a hitch! As far as getting ready purposes, we didn't choose to get ready in the bridal suite at the Villa (we were a lot of girls) we wouldn't have fit comfortably with all the makeup and hair artists too. Anthony was our coordinator from the venue the day of the actual wedding and Ashley stuck around and helped out for a bit too. Anthony was amazing he made sure we had everything we needed and made sure to check in with us throughout the night to make sure we were doing fine. We actually got to eat the food at our wedding lol not just at the tasting and truly it was delicious! I am an extremely picky eater and always hate catered food, for months leading up to the event I had been saying how I just want going to eat at my wedding and I'd just Uber McDonald's lol. So when I got the chance to try it at the tasting I was SO pleasantly surprised! It was actually delicious from start to finish! The AC tent was an absolute lifesaver (and was actually really cold!) it was Miami summer hot out and everyone was extremely grateful for the tent. Although the dancing was outdoors, everyone was having too much fun to care about the heat at that point. I can honestly that everything turned out perfectly, I couldn't have imagined how seamless everything turned out! Huge thank you to everyone from Bill Hansen & the Villa!

They are truly a total package when it comes to making your wedding day perfect and flawless! After postponing our original wedding date due to schooling, I didn't contact her again until a year later when we decided the gap out of school would be a perfect opportunity. The only thing was now we had 3 months to plan the wedding of our dreams. Ashley was so patient with all my changes and requests (and boy did I make lots of changes!). Every week, she was keeping me updating and constantly communicating with me in order to create the perfect menu and reception for us. It's a great feeling to hear from all my guest how much they enjoyed our wedding and we couldn’t be more satisfied with our decision to work with Bill Hansen.

I had first contacted them 8 months prior to our wedding day & when I told them where I was getting married, they couldn’t have chosen a more perfect event producer, Eden Bauer, as she also got married at the same venue (Estancia Culinaria, Redland, FL). She was super patient & worked w us to make sure we had exactly what we wanted & needed! God bless her, I had questions on questions but she made it sooo easy for me, I say me because I was internally stressing out!!! We had been studying their menu back & forth, day & night, to make sure we had the most amazing dinner menu for our guests & ourselves (we both are super foodies & loooooove to eat!) Once we chose our menu... the most fun part of our wedding planning finally came! THE FOOD TASTING!! Upon our arrival we were greeted by (& finally met) Eden & her event coordinator, Genevieve & they were absolutely wonderful in person. The hospitality that was given to us was like no other. Their venue itself was soo beautiful! We also met our chef, Chef Mary, who was sooo sweet! All the food tastings that were brought out completely BLEW OUR MINDS!!! Way better than I remembered! (We highly recommend the Blue Crab Tostones, Seared Tuna Won Ton Crisp Cup, & Brie Tartlets for hors’ doeuvres) I cannot stop thinking about those!! We had chosen to do 3 dinner stations rather than the typical sit down dinner, we wanted variety & options for our guests & let me tell you, I couldn’t wait for them to eat what we had selected. Everything was divine! We had also surprised our guests w a late night STREET FOOD station & my guests couldn’t believe there was more food. I dream about the short rib Philly cheesesteak 🤤 Now for our wedding day, our event supervisor Anthony, could not have been any more amazing & attentive to us & our needs, he made sure we had our plate of food, a full glass & always came to check if we had needed anything. I never thought I would have been able to have the wedding of my dreams w a BOMB ASS TEAM!!! I can’t thank Bill Hansen Catering enough! andra helped me pick all my vendors and then handled them for you - caterer, florals, coordinator, furniture rentals, decorations...she did it all! I opted not to have a wedding planner which I was nervous about, but my day of coordinator Jessica and her team were like my little fairy godmothers. These wonderful ladies made sure everything went as planned, let me call the shots when I wanted to, and put out fires when I didn't need to be involved. They were friendly and actually seemed like they cared about my happiness. It is so obvious that this whole team cares about the work that they do. They want you to have a beautiful wedding just as much as you do, which I think is rare in this industry when you go from signing one check to the next! I honestly felt like they were invited guests, not my vendor team and I mean that in the best way - they were just so nice to be around I didn't want them to leave. :) The venue itself does have some restrictions due to noise ordinances, but the ladies will help you figure it out! 10/10 recommend. MY WHOLE BRIDAL PARTY LOVES YOU GUYS. Simply put, you know you picked the right team when your already married bridesmaids are telling you how lucky you are to have had such a stress-free experience, that to me -- is priceless. Oh and not to mention...the food was AMAZING. We even had a chef as a guest at our wedding who couldn't stop raving about it.

rocess went smoothly, the team disappointed us the night of our event. The team didn't respond well to rain and was unable to provide an umbrella even for the bride and the groom. The team didn't put down the sides of the tent during the torrential downpour and many tables were soaked and meals ruined. The team didn't also didn't jump to action when furniture was being destroyed by the rain, which caused a huge headache for the newlyweds days following the event. Guests noted that they were served the wrong entrees and/or the food was cleared too quickly. Guests also mentioned that some of the waitstaff was rude and that the bar was closed for most of the cocktail hour. I could go on and on but the big takeaway is that our night would have been perfect had the weather behaved however, a south Florida wedding business should be very familiar with unpredictable weather and have been able to handle it.

With 220 people attending our wedding my biggest concern was making sure everyone was served at the same time and that the food be hot. During my two- year engagement my mother and I worked extensively with Sandra, our wedding coordinator. From the very beginning it was clear that Sandra possessed all the skills and qualities a dream wedding coordinator would have. She was extremely organized, accountable, patient, flexible, detail oriented and seriously always just a phone call or text away. Sandra truly made my dream wedding come to life and I could never thank her enough!

d... I’ve never been to a wedding where I couldn’t stop raving about ALL of the food.. maybe the apps are good, or the cake, or the meat or fish... but never everything. Well for my wedding, I can truly say Bill Hansen went above and beyond. I still have guests calling and telling me how outstanding everything was. The filet and the sea bass were incredible and even the vegetarian risotto was a HUGE hit. The day went off without a hitch with the day-of coordination they provided; it was truly a perfect affair!! Sandra and Danielle weee outstanding and I can’t thank them enough for everything!! Thank you so much, our wedding was everything we hoped for and more!!

She was always willing to help with cost effective suggestions without compromising our vision. The Villa itself was to die for the moment we walked in. The customer service from the entire staff at Villa is amazing. What I loved about it the most was the I did not have to worry about a thing because on wedding day, things ran just as we had planned. Pros: • The Villa is absolutely beautiful! I love how it’s intimate and it doesn’t feel like "it's just another venue". • Since we had our wedding in September, we had to use the tent. The tent was with AC and the chandeliers that were included were beautiful. • Food tasting from what I’ve heard never taste the same on wedding day but surprisingly, it actually did! • Lissette who was the Event Manager on wedding day made sure things ran smoothly. • Kuddos to the Chef and catering team as all guests raved about how exquisite the food was along with its presentation and how attentive the Waiters were. • I love how a platter of appetizers was set aside for us. I’ve heard time after time that the bride and groom rarely try these on their weddings because of the photos that follow the ceremony. But Ashley and Lissette ensured we tried these and we also got to try our Welcome Drink which was absolutely delicious! Cons: • Bridal Suite: I chose not to get ready at Villa’s Bridal Suite because I had a total 9 individuals including myself. The space would have been very tight. If the bridal party is small I would say 4 people, I can definitely see the space work for others. Another negative was how warm the suite can get. It did cool down after all the people left and the door was not continuously opening but nonetheless with many people it is still a little hot. • Courtyard: It’s extremely hot in the courtyard and dancing area. Although the Villa is a historic site and limited things can be done to the architecture, I think there should be a way where additional fans or cooling system can be installed. This would make it much more comfortable to guests where they can come out to dance. • DJ: Must use the DJ from their approved vendor list due to noise ordinance. We didn’t really like style of the DJ. • Music was barley heard where the sweetheart table was which was at the end of the backyard. • Party size: We had appx. 160 guests and our guest couldn’t really dance in the designated area. Recommendations for DJ since he’s an in house vendor: • Announce where the coffee and alcohol bars are located. Some guest did mention they didn’t know where to find the coffee. • Advise guest that the cake will only be served inside the tent. Many guest didn’t try the cake and it basically went to waste. • Announce the photo-booth because guest didn’t know where it was.

This was one of the best days of our lives and we were really glad we chose Bill Hansen!

We were afraid that we wouldn’t be able to eat on our actual wedding day, because we’ve had so many friends tell us they weren’t able to on their wedding days. But the BHC team made sure we were nice and fed throughout the night. Any time an hor d'oeuvres came out, they came directly to us to make sure we were able to get some food in the midst of mingling with our guests (I really needed to have some of the Nicaraguan Chicken pastelitos!!), which we greatly appreciated. Later that evening it took us a while to get back to our table and have our dinner. As soon as we sat down one of the members of the BHC team came over to ask if wanted a fresh plate of food, since ours had been sitting out for a while. Within a few seconds we had a fresh, warm plate at our table. It doesn’t get any better than that, does it? We were just so impressed with their level of service and attentiveness throughout the entire evening. In addition to catering our event, Bill Hansen handled all of our rentals (tables, chairs, linens, tents, dance floor, generator, etc.) for the wedding. Eden Bauer did an excellent job coordinating our event, making sure that everything was in order. She was also incredibly responsive whenever we had any questions regarding rentals or any miscellaneous things that came up. She really made us feel comfortable and taken care of, which is what you need in the midst of all the wedding planning chaos. Thank you soo much, Eden! Bill Hansen did not disappoint. Everything was absolutely amazing from the passed hors d'oeuvres to the entrees. We opted for the Argentine chimichurri and Chilean sea bass. Guests are still raving about the food to this day! Whether you book Villa Woodbine or another venue, I'd highly recommend hiring Bill Hansen for catering!

They met with us days before to run through the flow and everything went on as planned on our wedding day. There were only welcome happy surprises throughout the night! They were always around if we needed absolutely anything, but were not overbearing or in your face. I cannot remember a moment either of us were without a drink in hand! The attention was really impressive. Bill Hansen helped create the greatest day of our lives and all of our guests were impressed with the beauty, taste, organization and fun! We cannot thank them enough for what they did for us and would recommend them a thousand times over.

Finally, we upgraded the menu with a welcome drink for all the guests to have as they arrive. Amanda created a special, delicious drink for me, based on seasonal fruits. Bill Hansen truly made my wedding unforgettable. I worked with Amanda and Lia, both of who were available through email and phone, with quick responses. They also provided the linens, chairs, and tables, all if which were great quality. The polyester basic linens were included in the price, nicer linens were available for an added fee. Highly recommend!

use our private tasting was high quality. We hosted a very intimate wedding reception of 36 guests so the last thing we expected was for the quality to drop off so drastically. What is more, the fish portion was tiny and half of what they served us during our tasting. Separately, they nickle and dimed us. We lost several guests to Zika and they upcharged us $20 per head instead of reimbursing us. Lastly, the staff should be better trained. They chilled the cognac and port. After dinner drinks should be served room temperature. On a positive note, the appetizers and potatos au gratin were both fantastic.

I wish I knew all names, but I specifically want to mention a girl named Nashley (not sure if I spelled that correctly) who is SO sweet whenever I see her! She is always smiling and asking how I am, etc. Seems to enjoy her job so much. But not just her - your staff as a whole is wonderful and attentive, and the food is always top notch, of course. I just want to thank you for creating a wonderful catering experience. High five to you and your team!

d use in our specialty cocktail. We were planning our wedding in Miami from New York City, which could have proved to be extremely stressful. With the help of Kay, we were calm throughout the entire process. She was responsive, patient, calm, creative, resourceful, and an excellent decision maker. If I ever had a worry, she found a solution. I was worried that dancing outside in the courtyard of Villa Woodbine would be too hot and unbearable for our May wedding, and she found us an excellent outdoor cooling system that was extremely affordable. My father and I have severe food allergies, and she made sure was had a nut-free wedding and that I had wheat-free bread, which was delicious. No detail was forgotten. The food from Bill Hansen Catering was absolutely excellent at our wedding, but what I found so exceptional was the level of service and care that I received.

We relied on the Amanda for a lot of the lighting issues, decor, and table setting ideas, and she really did a wonderful job for us. My only issue with them is the wine options -- I ended up purchasing my own wine and champagne -- and they were fine with this. All in all, I highly, highly recommend Bill Hansen

also did not make it through the entire cocktail hour venue. Our guests seemed to have varying experiences with their table service as well. Overall pleasant experience with our sales woman and the food but disappointed with the service.

of South Bayshore Drive in the Grove. The villa is really a one-of-a-kind wedding venue gem with such an intimate, cozy feel and absolutely beautiful landscaping. Now, onto the staff…I cannot say enough kind words about Amanda, Sandra and Christine…they are such awesome girls! Amanda was my initial contact and helped me throughout with any little or big question that I had about my big day. Sandra and Christine were my day-of coordinators and were spectacular! The 3 of them were so very helpful, so much that I did not have a wedding planner at all. I did all the planning myself with the help of these 3 girls and my reception turned out absolutely amazing! My bridal party was so shocked on how organized these 3 girls made my reception, from the cocktail hour to the introduction to making sure the entire bridal party ate and always had a drink of some sort in hand. They had thought of every little detail to ensure the organization of the reception and did such a great job. In addition, the staff throughout the event was so professional and courteous. As for the food, I cannot explain how delicious all of the food was. From the hors d’oeuvre to the dinner, the food was outstanding. My guests could not believe that it was wedding food. They were all shocked of how delicious the food was and raved about it even after the wedding. In final, our reception was absolutely phenomenal. From the absolutely gorgeous villa, to the food, to the professional and courteous staff, I cannot describe how impressed and happy my husband and I were with Bill Hansen Catering and Villa Woodbine for our wedding reception. ned out lovely but getting there was a headache! I found them not to be very honest and after you pay and have a singed contract many additional charges come up. I paid for them to provide some champagne for the toast and purchased my own for the guest at the bar. The day of the wedding they did not bring any champaign and used mine for the toast. Subsequently we ran out of champaign. I also found that they at times they were not very organized so I had to keep a log of all of our emails to make sure that what was promised was delivered. I was under the understanding that I was hiring a wedding planner but instead I paid for full wedding coordination, which apparently is not the same thing (who knew)! They are also over priced.

what we had requested. Our first tasting was terrible and had to push for a second tasting, scheduled less than one month before the wedding. They tried to cancel our tasting two days before but we had to escalate to the COO as we'd already arranged our business travel plans to accomodate the date that THEY initially selected for us. At the end I'm glad the food was good and the event ran smoothly. The food at our wedding wasn't exactly what we had ordered but was so tasty we were OK with it.

when I talk to them. The first thing they mention is what a great time they had and what a wonderful party the night was. I truly think that it was so easy to forget the hours spent in traffic because Bill Hansen's staff and servers made the guests feel immediately relaxed and welcome upon their arrival. Every guest I have spoken to so far has mentioned that when they came to the reception they immediately had someone offering them food and drinks. I think if we had been anywhere else, pushing everything back an hour to accommodate the traffic might have been a stressful fiasco. Instead, Bill's staff made it so easy and their organization and calm helped keep me calm too! I loved the fact that there was a server who made sure that the bride and groom had appetizers. He even made a joke to a friend that his plate was for me, which I just loved. Without that attention to detail, I doubt I would have eaten a single hors' devours all night! My husband loved the fact that a server would bring him a drink when he noticed his glass getting low, without him even having to ask! We had a food station sort of set up. You would think that with a traffic jam and having to push the food back an hour, the food might have been cold or poorly prepared, but that was not the case. The food was delicious and hot. I know some people do not like buffets or anything like them because the food always seems to suffer, Bill's food stations are the exact opposite! Bill was also our liquor vendor, which is great considering he has is own liquor license. We had the premium open bar, and it was must less expensive then other open bars I looked at. Bill Hansen Catering even took into account allergies. My aunt is really allergic to peppers. They took note of it and made her food separately, without any peppers. They also gave me and my husband a to-go box of food that they stowed away in our getaway car! They really paid attention to every detail!

The bartender crashed our wedding at the end...we thought it was funny. If you don't have a sense of humor then I guess that would be a negative.
