The Biltmore Estate was an absolute dream of a wedding venue. It was beyond my wildest expectations. I lost count how many guests told me it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. October 30 had perfect skies, leave changes in the trees, and fantastic weather. Nothing beats the backdrop of the most beautiful home in America, surrounded by stunning mountains and trees and grounds. We were so impressed by the entire process. They somehow managed to make us feel like we were the only wedding that year when I am sure we weren't even the only wedding that weekend. We got married at the Diana venue overlooking the house and it was absolutely perfect. They will not do another wedding near the house if this is where your wedding is booked. Stephanie Moline was a huge, huge help and so kind and thoughtful! She works incredibly hard and is a wealth of knowledge! The food was incredible, the cake was beautiful and delicious, and the decor was a dream! Thank you!!!
My husband and I decided to have our ceremony at the conservatory. We booked one year in advance, and it was a beautiful fall destination wedding. I wish our catering sales manager was more communicative, and clear on certain things throughout the planning process. The food was great, although, when we went for our tasting they got our menu choices confused with a different couple. They fixed that immediately. The pastry chef did an excellent job on our cake and mini dessert display! The day of the wedding the ceremony was wonderful. During the reception the power went out twice, both times less than 5 minutes. The staff was wonderful and polite. We were pleased with mostly everything, but for the price it should have been top notch and no mishaps.
WOW! The Biltmore Weddings, Floral, and Pastry teams were fabulous to work with!
VENUE:
My husband and I got engaged in March 2020 and instantly knew we wanted to have an international wedding in the countryside of England. As COVID-19 progressed, we realized that our dream wedding wasn't going to happen as we didn't want to risk our guests health and safety. After the hard decision of not having an international wedding, we quickly set out to find a venue in the United States that evoked the same feeling we had wanted in our English garden estate wedding. We researched several venues but instantly new Biltmore Estate was THE venue as soon as we met our Biltmore Coordinator, Emily Rarhle, and she took us on a tour of all the venue possibilities.
BILTMORE WEDDING TEAM:
We had a small, 23 person ceremony and reception - originally planned for the Champagne Cellar but with COVID restrictions we had to move our wedding to The Inn on Biltmore Estate. The ceremony was held on the Belvedere Terrace, cocktail and wine tasting in the Gallery, and our reception in the Vanderbilt Ballroom.
Our wedding at the Biltmore Estate was beyond incredible! Our Biltmore wedding coordinator, Emily Rarhle, was a dream to work with. She answered all of our questions with detail and was instrumental in helping us plan our dream wedding through the planning process and execution during the wedding weekend. Even throughout the pandemic, Emily graciously worked with us to figure out new alternatives to the COVID restrictions set forth by the governor and ensured all of our planning would be absolutely magical.
CATERING & PASTRY TEAM:
Not only was the Biltmore Wedding team amazing, but our food was absolutely out-of-this-world! From our passed canapés to our reception dinner to our wedding cake created by the pastry team, everything was to the level of Biltmore standards and beyond delicious. Our guests raved about the food and our cake for weeks after the wedding and my husband and I constantly talk about how wonderful everything tasted.
FLORAL TEAM:
Let's talk florals! After booking our venue and interviewing with several different floral companies around Asheville, I instantly knew that I wanted to move forward with Lizzie Borchers and the Biltmore Floral team. Flowers, along with Photography, were my top must haves that would make or break the overall experience while my husband wanted to focus on food and venue. I wanted to have a true partnership with all of my vendors and Lizzie Borchers with the Biltmore Floral team instantly clicked! As soon as I explained what I wanted from a floral aesthetic I trusted her judgement completely. The overall theme of the wedding was to evoke an etherial romantic English garden. Lizzie suggested florals that would fit within a soft and romantic color scheme and that were true florals grown on the estate to capture the natural beauty of what Biltmore offered. When I say, "I trusted my vendors completely," I truly did. It's sometimes hard to describe the vision you have in your head to someone for what you expect, but when I walked into the Vanderbilt Ballroom and Belvedere Terrace to see my vision come to life, I was in utter shock because Lizzie and the Biltmore Floral team had gone above and beyond my expectations and truly transformed the space into something even more magical than what I could've imagined. They nailed all of the details perfectly!
Wow. Biltmore made me feel like a disney princess. Everything about my day was so incredibly perfect. Thank you so much Biltmore for making my day amazing. I will always hold this place close to my heart. I can’t wait to celebrate my anniversaries with you in the future.
My husband and I are still in awe at how beautiful our wedding was. Emily, Nevin, Trina & staff were a dream to work with. They were kind, professional, attentive, flexible, and had our best interest top of mind. We are so grateful to have gotten married at The Inn.
Our wedding at the Biltmore Conservatory was a dream come true! The entire Biltmore team is incredibly professional and hospitable- it was clear they genuinely cared about making our day truly special. The property, wedding venue, and food were all spectacular! Many of our guests shared it was the best food they've ever experienced at a wedding. Our Catering Sales Manager, Andrea, was incredibly knowledgeable, organized, and kind. Our wedding took place during COVID-19 and Andrea went above and beyond to keep us updated on restrictions and helped us make changes that still fit our original vision. Thank you to everyone at Biltmore!
Our wedding team at the Biltmore Estate – Ashley and Andrea – are the dynamic duo brides need to plan a wedding. Add in a global pandemic, and they are invaluable.
From the moment we first drove onto the Biltmore Estate (pre-COVID), we knew it was the place we wanted to be married. The views are spectacular, the service impeccable, and the experience is unforgettable. We wanted this for us and our guests, and the Biltmore team delivered.
Once COVID hit, the Biltmore closed and we had a million questions about what would happen next. Ashley stayed in constant touch, answering our questions through email and over multiple calls - keeping us updated on how state and local restrictions affected our wedding. We needed to make a lot of changes and Ashley, along with our wedding planner, Mary Bell, made the process so much easier.
And our wedding was perfect!
Our guests are still raving about the property, the hotel rooms, the wedding venues and the amazing food. And we are so grateful that we were able to focus on each other all day rather than the details. It’s a top-notch venue and team that will make your dreams come true.
way too pricey!
Ashley Lewis that works at Biltmore is amazing. Totally confident in her and her team's ability to plan any event at Biltmore...she is so knowledgeable and will do everything it takes to make your day special.
I had my wedding at the Conservatory on the Estate and it was absolutely beautiful! It poured down rain in the morning, and without even knowing it, the team was working overtime to make sure the gardens and conservatory would look perfect after the rain cleared. The entire space was turned into a beautiful dinner setting with chandeliers and lighting that made the wedding feel magical. It was such a memorable night, and our guests enjoyed the unique setting, comfortable space for dinner, and wonderful food!
My husband and I wanted a garden wedding, and were so pleased to have our wedding at the Conservatory at the Biltmore Estate! We worked with Andrea, an extremely talented, organized, and caring Catering Sales Manager. She is WONDERFUL! The catering staff, chef, baker, and floral staff were so wonderful, took our feedback and made changes, and were incredible on the day-of. It was such a dream. Obviously the Biltmore is an amazing venue, and basically sells itself, but take a look at the beautiful Conservatory and the smaller and more intimate moments it can offer. Oh, and Andrea deserves a big raise!
My daughter's wedding was in the Champagne Cellar - a destination wedding. The reception was magical. Andrea took great care of MOB during planning, and also day of. the food was AWESOME. The wait staff couldn't have been better - happy and attentive. Many guests said this was the best wedding ever - the best wedding venue - the best wedding food. Thank you Andrea and Biltmore!
If you want to feel special do not, I repeat do not book anything on the Biltmore House grounds. We had our ceremony on the house grounds at the Conservatory and from the moment I signed the contract to the minute my ceremony was over it was nothing but fighting with my venue contact and disappointment with the result. We also had our reception in the Champagne Cellar at the Biltmore Village and Dave (cannot remember his last name) was fabulous on our wedding evening. He was the manager of the cellar and made sure we had our canapés, got us drinks and checked on us often to see if we needed anything. The wait staff at the Champagne Cellar was also spectacular. However, one thing to keep in mind when booking the cellar (which I also was not told when I signed my contract) is that the cellar floods when it rains. The hallway was flooded on our wedding night - they fixed it by putting down mats and it was fine but still I should have been made aware of the flooding potential before signing the contract.
I give this review a 1 star because in order to get to David you’ll have to work with someone at Biltmore Catering who will make you feel like a burden with every question and request. I worked with Emily and it was not a pleasant experience. When I booked the venue I made it known that I had guests coming with limited mobility. The catering person I worked with at that viewing (Andrea) assured me there would be no problems. Then when Emily became my contact after signing the contract she couldn’t even reserve one wheelchair for my wedding guests and then on my wedding weekend she didn’t even know where the elevators were (even though I had already done my homework and found them). To top it off I had to ask at least 10 times to ensure the handicapped spots at the Conservatory were reserved for my wedding guests. The day of my wedding was also disappointing because up until the weekend of my wedding we were told that the Conservatory and walled garden will be closed off to guests beginning at 5:30 and all guests will be out by time the ceremony starts. When I arrived at the Conservatory at 6:20 for my ceremony there were cars driving through the gardens and I saw at least three groups of families on my way into the Conservatory which was a very short walk. Again when we booked the Conservatory we talked about the importance of a private ceremony and we were assured that the parking lots and the gardens would be cleared by the time our wedding ceremony started. Neither of those things happened. Because the area wasn’t cleared we couldn’t leave the doors open in the Conservatory sitting room to allow some air into the hot green house. It was a beautiful ceremony but if you book a ceremony at the biltmore Conservatory set your expectations from the beginning - you are nothing more than another ticketed guest to them.
One other thing I found disappointing was that when we checked into the Inn for our wedding weekend no one told us congratulations or made any remark with regards to our wedding. It was like we were any other guest visiting for the weekend.
Again, if you expect to be treated like any guest who paid $70 to enter the estate booking your ceremony at the Conservatory is right up your alley. However if you expect to be treated special this isn’t the venue for you. I do however have to note the wonderful job that the cellar staff did. They did a great job attending to everyone on the night of our wedding reception.
Our wedding at the Biltmore was more than amazing. Everyone at the venue was very nice and there was nothing that we could have had to make the day better. Andrea and the entire Biltmore staff did a fantastic job and we would recommend the Biltmore to anyone wanting a fairytale like wedding. It was truly perfect.
Lily and the entire team at Biltmore were incredible. We wanted a small reception, 25 people, after a private ceremony and other venues flat out denied us, saying that our party was too small. Biltmore welcomed us with open arms and proposed their Champagne Cellar. We never imagined we would be treated SO WELL!! Although our reception was small, we were made to feel like the most important people on the property. The wedding team was so thorough and walked us through the process so well that there was no doubt on the day of the wedding that everything would be perfect. The party ran so smoothly and every single person loved the DELICIOUS food and welcoming atmosphere. If you want a team who will make you feel like a million bucks and a stress free experience I 100% recommend going with Biltmore!! Our stay at the Inn post-wedding was magical and, again, everyone was so incredibly kind!!! Biltmore provided us with a level of service that is so rare these days from the very first interest meeting to the communication in the days after the wedding. Definitely, definitely recommend.
We just got married at the Inn on Biltmore Estate and it could not have been more perfect!! Andrea, our catering manager was so thorough and communicated with us all along the way to be sure there were no surprises. In fact, every person we came in contact with at the Biltmore Estate was friendly and helpful. This was the most amazing experience ever and we are truly grateful to everyone involved!
We just got married at Cedric's Garden last weekend and held our rehearsal dinner in the Champagne Cellar. The entire weekend could not have been more perfect. Planning events for a living, I have high expectations for service and every person we encountered on the estate completely blew me away with their attention to detail, friendliness, knowledge, willingness to do whatever was needed/wanted. Biltmore is such a special place and to be able to get married there was a literal fairytale!
We strarted the wedding here assuming that it fits our budget. Ashley that was from biltmore tricked us by giving us base price that made us sign the contract. Afterward she started adding items by items driving the real price to $40,000 more than the contract price. We didn’t have an option other than paying that. If you don’t want to get tricked, do not come to this place.
Our daughter's dream of having her wedding at the Biltmore Estate was fulfilled beyond our expectations. She was 12 years old when we last visited, and she asked her Dad then if she could get married there one day. Well, 15 years later, Ashley and her team made her dreams come true. From Cedric's Tavern (rehearsal dinner outside), the Inn on Biltmore Estate, The Village Social and of course the Tennis Lawn and Italian Gardens were perfection. The staff, venues, food, and décor exceeded our expectations. Our wedding planner, Tara Jordan from Weddings by Tara worked so closely with Ashley and her team. We definitely would consider them the Dream Team! I also have to give a shout out to the chef's, cake designer and Stacey from the Bloom Room. They are all part of this Dream Team. If you are considering a wedding at the Biltmore....don't hesitate. They will make your dream come true too!
My husband and I had our wedding at the Biltmore this May and it was absolutely a dream come true. The greatest thing as a bride, in my opinion, was the "one stop shop" convince of the Biltmore. They have the catering, the cake, the flowers and the list of recommended wedding planners all set for you, it could not of been easier, especially for a destination wedding. Our Biltmore Wedding Coordinator, Stephanie Wood, was with us every step of the way. She attended all site walk-throughs, the menu tastings and was in constant correspondence with me. She was even able to accommodate my recently handicap mother and made sure my mother had accessibility to every square inch of the wedding venue. The food was impeccable. All my wedding guests were blown away by the hospitality and in total awe of the estate. I wanted my guests who traveled far and wide to feel on vacation and the Biltmore and Asheville gave them that feel. HIGHLY recommend this venue. Already wishing we could re-live this perfect day!
We toured many beautiful venues in North Carolina, but nothing compared to Biltmore! We had a small, 16 person, ceremony and reception in the Champagne Cellar and every single part of it was perfect. Meredith was our catering department coordinator and she was absolutely wonderful! She was so sweet and so professional and did an amazing job coordinating with all of our vendors and the estate. She really went above and beyond, especially in her procurement of my husband's favorite bourbon and a specially made cookie cake (I don't like regular cake). The food! Everyone said that it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding, maybe ever. We are still talking about how delicious the food was weeks later! Every staff member that we encountered was phenomenal, I could rave about how helpful and wonderful they are forever. The complimentary two night stay at the Inn made getting ready the day of and then returning to the hotel after the reception so convenient. Our wedding day was perfect in every way and a huge part of that was thanks to Biltmore and the amazing people who work there. It was worth every single penny. It was perfect!
Our wedding at The Biltmore Lioncrest was incredible! The Biltmore staff is so good at helping you through the planning process and executing everything during your wedding weekend. The entire venue was classy and elegant. All of our guests had a great time. I would highly recommend this venue, especially for a guest count around 120. The space is perfect!
Although originally scheduled to be married in Charleston during Hurricane Matthew, we were fortunate enough to relocate our wedding ceremony and reception to The Inn on Biltmore Estate. We initially reached out to Ashley Gardner, Senior Catering Sales Manager, on the Tuesday evening before our wedding and received a response from her by early Wednesday morning, and by Sunday (our original wedding date), we were walking down the aisle. Ashley was amazing leading up to the wedding, especially considering we only had a matter of days to re-plan the wedding, and she worked tirelessly to incorporate as much from our previously planned wedding as possible, including keeping our table numbers and seating arrangements in tact so that we wouldn’t have to frantically rearrange at the last minute. The staff were both professional and extremely friendly and helped create an amazing atmosphere on the day of the wedding. In terms of the location, the beauty of the venue speaks for itself. The view from the Vista is breathtaking, and you and your guests will love taking in the view from anywhere on the premises, especially the wing that’s available to you on the day of the wedding. The food (we held a brunch) was outstanding, and the desserts were delicious. Although our circumstances were certainly unique, we can say without a doubt that working with The Inn on Biltmore Estate and the entire staff at the Biltmore was a dream come true, and we would recommend The Inn to anyone searching for a wedding venue in the Asheville area, especially one that offers so many included services. The Biltmore has a truly incredible staff, and we feel blessed to have been lucky enough to work with them to hold the wedding of our dreams.
Our wedding was wonderful! Everything at the Biltmore was exceptional, from the food to the drinks to the venue and staff! You can't find a better location or a more attentive staff! We (and our guests) were blown away at how beautiful the wedding events were, and everyone had a great time! We will definitely be back to celebrate our anniversary!
We had been vacillating between a few venues we weren't exactly "in love" with when we decided to reach out, on a whim, to the Biltmore team. We set up a meeting and venue tour with Brooke in February and, within 5min of walking into Lioncrest at the Biltmore, knew we had found the place! The venue is spacious and gorgeous: we chose the upstairs part of Lioncrest for our ceremony space because of the beautiful wooden beams and huge sunny window, had dinner downstairs in the veranda, and danced the night away under twinkle lights in the open brick courtyard. Brooke was essential in helping us customize a reception that fit within our budget, and was fantastic to work with-- always organized and communicative (essential, as the wedding was in mid-August!). The rest of the Biltmore team was amazing, as well: we had so much fun meeting the various chefs, coordinators, and banquet managers at our tasting. It definitely felt like a "family" experience, and one we'll treasure for years to come!
The Biltmore will provide you with an amazing meal that will please all of your guests, they will provide an awesome venue, but be warned, you will have to shell out a LOT to get what you want. Everything decent is an upgrade cost (which they don't tell you at the beginning). Also, there is a serious lack of communication within their staff/coordinators. I loved my wedding, but would not recommend anyone else book with them, and I will not be hosting any other events with them. It was a headache.
We had a destination wedding in Asheville and chose The Inn at Biltmore Estates for our ceremony and the Antler Hill Barn for our reception. Everything was perfect. Melissa Hilgeman of the Biltmore staff handled our event. She was responsive, helpful, flexible and made planning this long-distance event so easy. The Biltmore grounds are breathtaking, and we were fortunate to have beautiful weather for our outdoor ceremony. The food was delicious and abundant. Our guests were all thrilled to be there and many said it was the best wedding they had ever attended. If you want to hold a great party, the Biltmore is definitely the place to do it. Worth every penny!
We had an amazing experience with The Biltmore (specifically Brooke at Lioncrest)! Brooke and her team were absolutely wonderful in working with us throughout the entire process. There were so many "little touches" that were provided during our wedding - dedicated server for bride and groom, requesting our parents' favorite drinks so that they could provide that to them throughout the evening, etc. We've only heard great things from our guests as well. I almost wish we could get married again so, that we get to relive this experience!
We had our wedding ceremony on the front lawn and our reception in the Italian gardens. Biltmore did an amazing job coordinating our heart shaped fire works, which were carefully planned to go off exactly when we kissed at the ceremony. I must say I was surprised they got it perfectly timed! We also had another amazing firework display show during cocktail hour on the veranda, which they did an AMAZING job on. The food and wine was amazing, my cake tasted delicious (which is also supplied by biltmore bakery). To use the front lawn on a Saturday night in October is not cheap, but I feel my money was well spent and I definitely got what I paid for. I highly recommend this venue if you want to have a magical night and feel like a princess. Thanks so much Biltmore!
Our wedding was everything my husband and I dreamed it would be. The Champagne Cellar was the perfect venue for our destination wedding. From the venue to the food and amazing tour of the winery our guests had a great time. Melissa and Paul were so helpful and made sure that everything was taken care of. I just cannot say enough about our wedding experience. I remember everything about that evening and that weekend. Also, as part of our package included a 2 night stay on the Inn as well as a complimentary meal and a complimentary bottle of champagne. We decided to save our meal for Sunday evening the night after our wedding so we could enjoy it in the comforts of our room and enjoy the fireworks as well. It was fantastic and we felt as though we had our own private firework show. That whole weekend was my fairytale dream come true!!
I cannot say enough amazing things about having our wedding at Biltmore! We had our wedding at the Inn on Biltmore Estate, with our ceremony on the Vista and reception in the Vanderbilt ballroom. It was so beautiful! And those mountain views...ahhh! Stephanie Wood was our catering manager and was so fabulous to work with! She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of on our special day. We were married on Labor day weekend so things were quite busy but we still felt special and things went smoothly. The food at the reception was outstanding! Our guests gave so many complements on the food and service. Oh and the cake. I gave them a picture of what we wanted and it turned out better than I expected and more importantly tasted delicious! We also ordered our flowers from Lizzie Borchers at the Inn on Biltmore. The quality of the flowers and design were superb. Having our wedding at Biltmore and knowing we were in their hands was peace of mind. They played a role in so many aspects of our wedding, from venue to cake to flowers, and all exceeded expectations.
Biltmore exceeded our expectations. We can't thank them enough for everything they did for us. From the intimate family rehearsal dinner in the Champagne Cellar to the Wedding Ceremony on the Tennis Lawn, the magnificent reception at The Diana and the most spectacular fireworks display. It was far and beyond our wildest dreams. Our daughter's wedding was like a fairy tale come true. Brooke and the Biltmore team were amazing. Our family and friends are filled with the most amazing memories that will last forever.
We got married July 30th, 2016 at the Conservatory at the Biltmore. We didn't start planning until the beginning of June. I met Stephanie Wood, she was my contact, and knew I would love working with her. She and her staff made planning easy, and the gardens made for beautiful pictures. I have been told by several guests that this was the best food they have ever had at a wedding, and the staff was exceptional.
They are organized, professional, and without hesitation I would recommend them. Thank you for making our day so special!
Marti and Greg Smith
We were just married at the Biltmore; more specifically, the champagne cellar. We had not visited the Biltmore prior to the day before our wedding. They provided us with a recommended vendor list which we used but were not forced to. Each of the recommended vendors we chose did a great job. Melissa H. was our point of contact and answered all of our questions and more. The day before our wedding she showed us around and made us extremely comfortable with the schedule. On our wedding day, Phillip was in charge of the champagne cellar. He was extremely helpful and exceeded all of our expectations. I am not getting married ever again, but if I was to renew my vows, the Biltmore would be my first choice.
The place is absolutely amazing. Picture perfect- just like a fairy tale. I'm so happy I chose to have my wedding at Biltmore- Deerpark to be exact. It was exactly what I have dreamed of. My contact was Brooke and she was fantastic. Always answered my questions quickly and was there for me every step of the way. If you want a wedding you have dreamed of - Biltmore is the place to do it.
Our wedding at Deerpark at the Biltmore Estate was a fairy tale- not because I'm speaking of my own wedding, but every single guest expressed they had never seen anything like it. The grounds are breath taking, the service is phenomenal, and the food was outstanding. It is literally the WHOLE package. I was worried about the food because sometimes really nice places have a mediocre menu or very small portions, but our guests were so impressed with the menu. Our wedding was almost two months ago, and friends and family are still talking about every aspect of it. It is a bit pricey, but so worth it. It was a beautiful day and a wedding that will be remembered by all.
Our Biltmore wedding was everything that we dreamed and MORE! We selected the Grassy Knoll venue with sprawling views of the beautiful Asheville mountains for our destination ceremony. We were so lucky to work with Meredith Heard from start to finish. She is so sweet, responsive, and easy to work with! From our first tour, we knew we could not settle for any other venue. While we visited in fall, we had our hearts set on a spring ceremony beneath the big tree. Meredith made our dream a reality! She stayed in touch as we planned from afar, handled paperwork promptly, responded to random bridal questions, and even contacted our vendors the week before the wedding! She also gave a tour for our day-of team the day before our ceremony. Meredith truly went above and beyond!
As for the wedding weekend, the Biltmore team really makes you feel like royalty! Our package granted us access to the entire Estate for unlimited photos. It also included a day-of coordinator (who was so kind on our hectic day!), a night at the Inn (stunning room with BREATHTAKING views), and several wonderfully unexpected gifts. (Can't spoil them for you future Biltmore brides!) The package was an amazing value and exceeded our expectations! We can't wait to come back for anniversaries in the future!
We had a small wedding at the Inn at Biltmore and it was incredible!!! Meredith, our wedding specialist, was easy to work with, responsive, and took care of all the little details we threw at her.
The food was delicious and the cake was amazing. We had dinner in the private dining room and the staff were so accommodating and attentive, without being overbearing. We had a truly lovely evening.
The place is absolutely stunning and the Inn is a top notch hotel. I look forward to spending many anniversaries returning to the Biltmore.
We got married in the Champagne Cellar on New Year's Eve - it was beautiful, and the setting was incredibly romantic. The Biltmore Catering Manager, Melissa, was an incredible partner in planning our event and made everything really easy for us. We were planning long distance, and when we were there to visit and make arrangements she worked around our schedule and even included our kids in the planning. She was patient, helpful, and accommodating. The package was actually a great value with the venue, staff, open bar, winery tour, canapes, four course meal including wedding cake, and the stay at the Inn. They even had fireworks! Dinner was really delicious- everything was hot and tasted like a made to order restaurant entrée, not like some wedding dinners I have had. The pastry chef took my picture from Pintrest and used it to create our dream cake. The flavors were delicious and the look was just right. We ended up using the Biltmore's florist, Lizzie, who did an amazing job capturing our vision and really transformed the space with gorgeous, tasteful arrangements. The night of the wedding there was some flooding from heavy rain and the whole team pitched in to make it disappear- they had everything under control. Our night-of coordinator Phillip was phenomenal, cueing us at the perfect time, anticipating needs we didn't realize we had, and generally taking every possible stress off of us. The wait staff was fantastic as well- they kept it elegant but had fun with us too. We used vendors recommended by the Biltmore and it helped- there are some rules about what can be done where, and using vendors familiar with the Biltmore really paid off. Our guests were surprised and delighted, in spite of attending tons of weddings they are still talking about how special this one was. As for us, after waiting 15 years to get married, it was everything we had dreamed of. Looking back, we honestly wouldn't change a thing.
We thank Biltmore for absolutely everything. We appreciate their patience in answering all of our questions along the way. Every single one of Biltmore staff were awesome! They really made it easy for us to have a great time at our wedding…and for that, Jon and I could not thank them enough.
The food – they were all top-notch and we received several compliments on it! The appetizers were beautiful to behold, and lovely start to a great night. Dinner was absolutely delicious and served by a pleasant, helpful and accommodating staff.
They ensured a wonderful evening for everyone!
There is no place in America that is a more beautiful and grand venue to have a wedding than the Biltmore. The catering they provide is absolutely delicious. Ashley Gardner is one of the hardest working and pleasant person you could even want to work with- She is the head of Biltmore weddings and does a fantastic job. Our experience at the Biltmore Estate was exceptional.
Everything at the Biltmore is perfect. I had our reception at Deerpark at the Biltmore, and it was a dream come true. The ability to dance under the stars and twinkle lights was exactly what I had imagined. From the moment we inquired to having our wedding there, the service was nothing short of exceptional. They are very prompt with returning emails/phone calls, the tasting was lovely, and the actual day was incredible. You can tell they do a lot of weddings because they are extremely good at what they do. The guests had an amazing time, and could not stop raving about how beautiful the venue was, how delicious the food was and how it was the most fun they've had at a wedding. What more could you want?
The Biltmore Estate served as the perfect venue for both my ceremony and my reception. So glad to of had the opportunity to plan a wedding in such a dreamy location!! (Mine was in Deerpark)
The proposal was perfect and they did exactly what they proposed! Very beautiful arrangements and amazing ideas! I didn't have to worry about a thing and they even made my original ideas come to life.
Our wedding would have been perfect except for a huge serving error made by Biltmore's on-site coordinator. The on-site coordinator and our main contact Maura never acknowledged, apologized or made any amends for the mistake which resulted in a greatly reduced time for planned activities following dinner and guests feeling like the evening was drawn out. Our dinner reception was supposed to start at 7:30pm per our event agenda in the contract. It was like they totally forgot about it until finally my mom asked them to begin serving dinner around 8:30pm. It pushed everything we had planned back. Guests didn't finish dinner until around 9:30pm, which pushed back the time for the toast and forced us to do the cake immediately after. Serving of the cake didn't finish until around 10:15pm, well into the time when dancing was planned. The last few hours of our event ended up being rushed, which was the last thing I wanted. It was very discouraging given all of the time, effort and communications that had gone into planning our wedding with Maura. I had expected a lot more professionalism and accountability from the Biltmore Estate, especially based on how they advertise/display themselves as a premier venue.
I planned my wedding in Asheville, NC from 3000 miles away. Working with Ashley at the Biltmore Estate was an absolute pleasure. The Biltmore facilities, customer services and experience is second to none. We truly had the wedding of our dreams.
Perfect venue to get married! Staff was excellent!! Everything was beautiful and turned out perfect.
We selected Biltmore for our wedding venue because it is beautiful and in between our families' hometowns. And it was beautiful. The wedding vendors in Asheville are so good and we were able to get some beautiful wedding photos. Our guests all had a wonderful time as well despite it being a little rainy.
You are required to use Biltmore for catering, so like cake and food will be done by them. I was totally in awe of their work on this front. The cake did taste great, but wasn't really beautiful, and the food was okay. They did accommodate 3 vegetarians without making us change the entire menu, which was nice.
The wedding coordinator (Shea Young) was a little hard to get in touch with and made me feel like a number, which I've heard is sometimes a problem with Biltmore weddings. But her assistant Emily was great.
Our wedding was SOOO beautiful! I would suggest everyone check out the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. Your guests will be talking about it for a long time!
The Biltmore was a goregous place to have a reception and rehearsal dinner at. The thing that stood out the most was the assistance we got from Ashley Gardner who helped us with everything. She was very attentive to all of the details and requests, was a delight to work with, and was responsive in a very timely fashion. The service and food quality was top notch. We had a seated dinner for 180 people - and the food was delicious, presented nicely, and everything was timely but not rushed. You pay top dollar to have a wedding here, but it is worth every penny. They are just amazing!
Our ceremony and reception were held in the Champagne Cellar at the Biltmore Estate and without ever visiting the venue (we live over 2,000 miles away) it was more than I could ever have dreamed of. The long hall leading to the room was so grand for a bride’s entrance! The cozy feeling of the exposed brick and dim lighting made the space perfect for our intimate wedding! And the staff out did themselves! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating (they even stepped in during my rehearsal to play the roles of certain family members who could not make the rehearsal so I would know what to do)! It was absolutely perfect!
They were a wonderful staff and on point. It was a beautiful location and I highly recommend them.
We got married at the DeerPark at Biltmore Estate. It was beautiful! The staff are warm and friendly, they are there to make your day perfect, and it was!
Our wedding was amazing.
Growing up in Asheville, NC, I always dreamed of having my wedding on the Biltmore Estate. Luckily, my dream came true and we had our wedding at the Inn on Biltmore Estate - an outdoor ceremony overlooking the mansion and mountains, and an indoor reception spanning two ballrooms and a window-lined gallery. From top to bottom, our wedding was top notch. The Inn is a four-star, highly rated hotel and it lives up to its rating in every way. The food was A+, and they were very accommodating on adapting the menu to our tastes. The staff was extremely professional and helpful, always on hand to answer any questions and satisfy our every need. Our guests were mesmerized by the scenic beauty, of course, but also by the attention to detail - the ice cubes even had glitter in them to give the cocktails a little extra shine. Many of my friends and family have called it the best wedding they've ever been to. Biltmore is very expensive, but they strive to give their brides the Biltmore fairy tale they so desire, and they succeed.
Went to a wedding here, and it was beautiful!
I had such high expectations for the Biltmore. My husband and I chose the biltmore for our wedding because we figured, they do so many weddings - it has to be like a well-oiled machine. We couldn't have been more wrong. It is expensive to get married at the Biltmore, and we did not feel like we got our money's worth. We chose to get married at the lioncrest, and while the location is beautiful and the food was delicious, that is where my praises end. We had so much difficulty dealing with the staff at the biltmore, particularly the catering manager we were assigned, Maura Scarmack. During our planning process, we were assigned to a different manager while Maura was on maternity leave, who gave us a different, lower, maximum number of guests than we were originally told we could have. So, we worked hard to cut down our lists and invite fewer guests. Then, when Maura came back, we were again told the original number - so my mom was especially upset that she could have, afterall, invited many of her family members that she had thought she had to cut from the list. The major problem I had with Maura, was that leading up to the wedding, I felt that I had to repeat myself over and over and over in order for her to get things right. This added to my anxiety tremendously - no bride wants to feel that her opinions are being ignored. What was worse, it wasn't simply my opinions - it was serious oversights. I had to tell Maura at least 4 times that I was allergic to almonds and that they could not be in the salad before she finally took them off the menu. Maura asked me point blank at our testing if I wanted table cloth overlays on all the tables - and I said, of course I do. On my wedding day, the sweetheart table, cake table, and cocktail table are all without overlays. What makes this mistake unforgivable was that she asked me point blank what I wanted, and then did her own thing anyway. My mother gave her the final count on number of guests on the day that she requested it - and yet the final contract that was presented to us the night of the rehearsal dinner had the count incorrect, and we were overcharged. Lastly, on the day of the wedding, my husband and I sat down at our sweetheart table (that was without table cloth overlay!) to find that the menu had one of the cake flavors incorrect. We asked our "point person" if this was a typo or if the cake flavor was incorrect - he lied right to our faces and told us that the menu was incorrect, but reassured us that the cake flavor was the one we tried and loved. It was not. The cake was a flavor that we didn't even try at our tasting. It wasn't even one of our options! It was my husband's pick - and he was so excited that he got to choose our wedding cake flavor and that detail was his. Yet another oversight on the part of the Biltmore staff took this moment away from us. I do not understand how a flavor of cake that we didn't even try at our tasting ended up at our wedding. I could understand one mistake, but I simply can not understand how a supposedly high quality venue could have so many oversights on someone's special day. Our wedding was beautiful, but the process was unnecessarily stressful because of the failure on Maura's part to simply listen and follow directions. My wedding wasn't ruined, but there were so many ways in which I was beyond disappointed. If I could do it all over again and do it somewhere else, I absolutely would. Working with Maura was a nightmare.
We had our wedding at the Deerpark at Biltmore Estate and it was truly magical. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect location!
It was beautiful and small, and technically less expensive than I thought it would be to get married at the Biltmore Estate. The food was amazing, everyone had a great time, the cake was beautiful, and the catering staff including Ashley, Sara, and Helmut (plus others) really made it a wonderful experience.
I highly recommend getting married at the Biltmore Estate, whether it is the Champagne Cellar or Diana or on the Vista or at Deerpark. There might be multiple weddings going on during the same time, but you would never know it. They are so far apart and everyone treats you like yours is the only one they know about.
Sara had everything under control. When I needed an emergency sewing kit (left mine in the room somehow), or to make sure certain people got the right food/drink or were kept away from certain food/drink, she was on top of it.
Helmut was the best server/bartender. We once had him at the Bistro and wanted him to be there. He even signed our guest book at our request and wrote something very nice.
I don't even like cake, but I doubt our top tier will be making it to our anniversary, it was that delicious.
People are still talking about the food.
