Working with Bird Dog Wedding was a fantastic experience and I could not recommend them more highly. Every step the way (and it was quite the path, we booked our venue in February 2020 and got married in February 2022) Emily and Monica found us wonderful options that we absolutely loved no matter how challenging the circumstances. They were responsive, inventive, professional, and so, so fun to work with. The vendors they suggested were also great and easy to work with. The design elements were like something out of a fairy tale, so beautiful I almost had to pinch myself. Our welcome party, wedding day, and farewell brunch (all planned by Bird Dog Wedding) were executed flawlessly. We had almost no idea of what we were doing, and we are not local to where we got married, so I'm still a little amazed we pulled it off much less at how perfect it was. I credit it all to Bird Dog Wedding, and hiring them was without a doubt the smartest decision we made throughout the whole wedding process.

Emily & Monica were awesome!!! I planned my wedding for a solid 2.5 years with them and they were there for all of it. All of the questions, changing my mind 2.5M times, changing venues, changing dates and the fact I was an out of state bride planning a wedding during lock down!! By looking at the BDW website & socials, a few things are clear: Emily, Monica & the BDW team design and coordinate weddings that are out-of-the-box creative, beautiful, FUN, and well executed. My favorite part about looking at their work is that each wedding is different - both from the other weddings they’ve planned and from other weddings in general – which means they really care about and prioritize each couple’s vision & personality. These are not copy-cat, cookie cutter weddings, people. These weddings have SOUL. But for your wedding, you need more than unique design elements & detailed coordination. You need a team with the experience and knowledge to execute your vision, but you also need a team with experience and knowledge to rock it out when things go wrong. I probably had the most obsessed-over wedding in history – I have worked in the wedding industry for going on 10 years, so naturally I had thought through my wedding in excruciating detail before even getting engaged (no shame). Not only that, but I was a COVID bride, ended up postponing my wedding twice, fully changing seasons/color palettes, and was full force wedding planning for almost 3 years. There was not an afterthought at this wedding. And when the day finally came, it POURED rain for the ENTIRE day & night, creating some unique challenges at my 90% outdoor venue (which for the record, they didn’t want me to know about, but I manage the venue so I know how it goes in the pouring rain in that location specifically). BDW flawlessly changed my entire ceremony location, handled all the rain-related issues, set up and coordinated my VERY complicated wedding, and in turn made all my dreams a reality. I can honestly say I had the most stunningly beautiful & most FUN wedding EVER, that felt so much like me & my husband. My guests are not just raving about it, they are GUSHING over it. All that to say, this team is filled with some really great gals who are my friends for life. They will give you Sagittarius optimism & creativity and Capricorn work ethic & persistency. Not to mention, they are a group of incredibly talented and kind individuals who are all so good at what they do. Whether you are looking for a full, turn-key planning service down to each detail, or more of a day-of-coordinator / final details support - they have you covered. We worked with BDW on our wedding - which was postponed in 2020 and finally executed in November of 2021 and they were so crucial and helped us navigate the postponement process, which went smoother than I ever thought it could go. I produce events for a living (not weddings) so I opted to plan the majority of the details, but needed BDW for the final details, vendor coordination and day-of coordination. They were there for me throughout the entire process, able to answer any question I had, recommend the best vendors in the biz and truly stepped in a took over the vendor management a month out from the event so I could focus on other things. The day of the wedding went so smoothly. It was truly stress free and I know I could not have done it without them. I would recommend BDW to anyone looking to get married in the Austin area!

We have been through quite the journey with Emily & Monica! Our wedding was initially planned for April 2020 and we postponed twice; first to October 2020 and then to October 2021. We cannot imagine navigating postponing our wedding without them. They handled everything efficiently, calmly and with such grace. They took the stress out of a very stressful situation and made us feel hopeful during a time in which we were feeling very defeated. Seeing our vision finally come together in October 2021 was an absolute dream come true. We truly could not have pictured a more perfect day. We were completely blown away by Emily's design and could not get over how visually stunning everything was. Monica, being the organized boss that she is, made sure that we didn't worry about a single thing on our wedding day. Monica and Emily are simply AMAZING! We booked them before / during COVID and they planned the most fabulous wedding celebration ever. We were by no means easy clients, abs they delivered big times for us - Toward the end of the planning process I was even comfortable deferring to them on most decisions as their taste and execution is impeccable. All of our guests said it was the best wedding they’ve been to. Already planning to have anniversary parties and use BDW because we loved them so much!

I reached out to Emily after feeling so defeated with the wedding planning process after my destination wedding in Mexico was postponed and then ultimately cancelled. I put her to the test, BDW planned my whole wedding in under four months. From the moment I met Emily, I knew she was the one. She help me mentally and physically pivot, redirect and land the plane! She took my inspiration that I had for my original wedding and made it come to life. She helped with every vendor and making very helpful suggestions at every turn. Emily is extremely talented at her role and I let her take the heavy lifting off my plate. I leaned into her ideas and let her make the "design" decisions for a lot of the wedding knowing, she knows my vision and I trusted her. I have a type A personality and am very organized but I needed to release the control to someone else for this big moment in our life. She nailed it! My wedding was beautiful, fun, stress free, and memorable. I can not express my gratitude towards Emily and the team that made our day happen. By the way, I live in Houston and we did 99% of everything virtually through zoom, calls and emails. BDW IS THE DREAM TEAM!

Monica was such a dream to work with! There is really no better feeling than knowing that your special day is in good hands. These chicks rule! My husband and I planned a destination wedding in Austin and we absolutely could not have done it without Monica & the entire Bird Dog team. We initially wanted to work with Bird Dog because of their amazing creativity shown on their website and instagram but ended up getting so much more than that. Monica and team were invaluable throughout the entire planning process, especially being that we were out of state. My husband and I just got married last weekend, and we truly can't say enough nice things about Bird Dog. Monica and Emily were absolutely amazing to work with, especially given all of the uncertainty that came with planning a wedding during the pandemic. Not only are they super organized, but they were able to beautifully bring to life our wedding vision to life - really showing their expertise from both a wedding planning and design expertise. Emily and Monica of Bird Dog Wedding absolutely made and saved our wedding day. We started planning back in February 2019 for an April 18th, 2020 date. The first thing I noticed about them is how much fun they are to be around. On a personal level, my best friend (another Bird Dog bride) and I continue to talk about how we want to be friends with them outside of the wedding planning process. On a professional level - they connected us to some of the best vendors I could ever ask for and have been incredibly organized from the very beginning. Not only were they organized, they helped me, and my husband stay on the ball without making us feel pressured or rushed or like the process had to be anything other than fun. So, you can imagine how helpful that was when March rolled around and we realized that because of the pandemic we needed to postpone our wedding to make sure everyone we love stayed safe. I called Emily and Monica tearful and conflicted about the decision (not understanding at the time how severe things would get with the virus) and they talked me through it, made me feel supported in the decision to postpone, and within the same day the entire wedding was rescheduled. They contacted all vendors, coordinated to see when they were all available, and had everything locked down for October 31st, 2020 literally within hours. In one of the most collectively uncertain and scary times ever experienced, this was a huge source of comfort. So, we continued planning for what was originally going to be a 200-person wedding, not knowing that the pandemic would still be raging in October. After the longest reality check ever, we called Emily and Monica with yet another change of plans. We told them we wanted to have the wedding, but with only immediate family present, all outside, and completely socially distanced. That meant each household got their own table, their own cake, their own bar carts to minimize interactions with anyone else, each guest got their own drink tags with their names on them, and all sorts of other precautions. They hit the ground running with what they called our “pivot plan.” I was excited but couldn’t get past feeling sad that I wouldn’t be able to hug everyone and dance and be as carefree as I would be if there were no pandemic. Emily and Monica wouldn’t settle for that. They did everything in their power to make sure this day would be safe and just as special as it absolutely should be. And OH MY WORD can we just talk about the design?! It was above and beyond all expectations. I threw a pretty wild assortment of colors out there for a color scheme. So much so, that by the time the wedding was about to happen I couldn’t even keep track of my colors. Emily and Monica made MAGIC with those colors. I was blown away. Like, I want to live in what they designed for our wedding. They also helped us connect to a last-minute videographer so that we could livestream the ceremony for those who couldn’t be there in person. So, I guess let’s just consider this a love letter to Bird Dog Wedding. Thank you for everything, Emily and Monica!

Hands down the best decision, and most important decision, we made while wedding planning was picking Bird Dog Wedding to plan our event. I remember the first time I talked to Monica on the phone I knew that they were the perfect fit for us. One of my bridesmaid's sister had used BDW to plan her wedding and I was familiar with the magic they created, but I was blown away with what they were able to accomplish with our wedding. Our original wedding date was April 25th and thus were one of the first weddings that had to get postponed due to COVID. We eventually postponed twice and ended up completely switching venues from a large, indoor venue in downtown Austin to our back yard out in Dripping Springs. Monica and Emily basically had to plan 2 entirely different weddings and found a way to pivot our vision from a 200 person indoor wedding, to a 65 person outdoor wedding. Monica is an absolute project management genius. She organized every detail and every minute of our event and handled the multiple postponements and changes like a champ. Dealing with a normal wedding is a lot of work, but the way she handled multiple contract changes with our postponements is unbelievable. She made a COVID wedding stress free for myself and Matt which I'm still not sure how that is possible. Emily is the most brilliant designer I’ve ever seen. Every element of our wedding tied together perfectly and created the most beautiful event I've ever been to. She transformed our home into the wedding venue of my dreams. Every vendor she selected was the best of their craft and it all came together for the most perfect day. I cannot say enough good things about these two ladies. Not only did they care about creating the most magical day for me and Matt, but they also cared about us like family. I know Monica and Emily will stay a part of my life forever and for that I feel eternally thankful.

Planning a wedding is stressful. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is a different level of stress all together. Through the entire process, Meredith was willing to listen to my concerns and provide helpful information. On the day of, I was able to leave my phone in the room and everything was executed to perfection! In addition, any of the decisions she made with design and signage turned out great. Emily is a design and creative genius, always weaving incredibly unique & thoughtful designs specifically made for their couples to tell their stories. Monica is a detail-oriented, logistics genius who makes planning weddings look effortless (even though we all know it's not). My wedding hasn’t even happened yet and BDW has already earned 5 stars (and then some)! After working with the Bird Dog gals for over a year, I can say with confidence that hiring them was the best decision of our entire planning process. Emily is a design QUEEN and Monica is an organizational GODDESS. Our Spring wedding would have been AMAZING thanks to them, but unfortunately we are one of the unlucky corona couples and had to postpone our April wedding to November. I know our Fall wedding will be even more perfect thanks to team Bird Dog! When corona hit the fan, they went above and beyond to facilitate our postponement. Within an hour of selecting our new date, all of our vendors had been contacted and were in the process of transitioning our event to November. The situation. Was. Handled. I truly don’t know how we would have gotten through this without them, and I am (not so secretly) excited to continue working with them for another 8 months. Bird Dog Wedding, more like Wedding SUPERHEROES!!! These ladies put our minds at ease from the first call. They laid out our to do lists, their to do lists, provided amazing timelines. It can be overwhelming to plan a wedding, but Emily and Monica put everything into a digestible process that we felt like we could tackle. The check-ins were great, the in person walk through was wonderful and the day of assistance was absolutely unmatched. Working with Monica & Emily was truly the best decision that my fiance and I made in regards to our wedding. We’ve spent the last year working together to plan the perfect day. From our initial kickoff meeting, we knew that we were working with the best of the best. They’ve made the entire wedding planning process seamless and stress free. Aside from being incredibly talented and professional, they are also thoughtful, empathetic, kind and all around great humans. Our original wedding date was planned for 4/4/20. About a week ago, a wave of panic came over me and started to consume me due to the news surrounding the Coronavirus. I knew there was a chance we would need to postpone, but I did not want to face the reality of it so I held out on contacting them hoping everything would just go back to normal. Last Friday, Emily & Monica proactively gave me a call to check in and see how I was doing with everything. They did not pressure me one way or another, but let me know that in the event we needed to postpone that all of the vendors were being super flexible and assured me that we could make it work with little to no extra financial burden. That call in itself was a massive weight lifted off my shoulders as I was so anxiety ridden that we would lose all of our money and have to cancel the wedding altogether. We ultimately decided to postpone, and about an hour after sending them our decision via text, they had almost all of the original vendors confirmed for our new date in October at our original venue. Since they’ve helped us make the change, my fiance and I are so relieved and feel as if we can finally breathe knowing everything has been taken care of. They are absolute miracle workers and we feel so grateful to have them in our corner through this process.

To start, they’re extremely communicative and easy to talk to. Emily puts the lovely design together and Monica organizes and orchestrates precision coordination with vendors and us. They both kept us on schedule and worked seamlessly together. They’re the perfect dream team. My husband and I wanted a wedding with some design flare that made it unique and told the story of us. My background in design made me very particular with details and how I wanted the overall look and feel to be. I drew sketches of the interiors of the venue with what I had in mind and bird dog wedding helped made it come true. They would assist in picking vendors that match what we were dreaming of and who would be the best fit. I also loved the walk through coordination that nods to bird dog’s thoroughness in communication and attention to detail to make sure we were all on the same page. I especially loved their honest opinions and mindful ideas, it really made us feel comfortable with every decision we made with their personalized care. When we were stuck on a decision, we would go to Emily and Monica, to ask for their opinion on what to do, and they always factored in what was important to us and also kept our budget in mind. They were honest, mindful, thoughtful and always had what was best for us in mind. There were countless amount of times when they showed this mindfulness throughout the process and for the big day, they were consistent with their care and execution. When the big day came, the transitions in the wedding ceremony, and vendor coordination was flawless and so smooth. Seeing the design and everything come together literally moved me to tears. I literally hugged Monica for a good few minutes, ugly crying and thanking her and Emily for helping create the best day of my life. We’re already thinking about renewing our vows in 10 years and we definitely plan on giving bird dog wedding a call again. We love them very very very much and can’t say enough great things about them. This review is just skimming the icing on the cake on what they can do. My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.

Monica and Emily of Bird Dog Wedding made our dream wedding come to life. Our wedding was in Nov 2, 2019 and we started planning with them around October of 2018. Throughout the entire year leading up, they were both very active and super responsive to any questions we had and on top of every single detail with vendors. We bombarded them with lots of changes and requests for over 365 days and they could not have been more understanding and pro active to make everything exactly how we wanted it. During the day of the wedding we were a bit nervous on how everything would come together but Monica took care of everything. Vendor set up and design details all happened seamlessly without us even noticing as we were focused on our big day. Nothing but the highest praise to these women who were really the best people we could ever imagine to help make our wedding day be as special as it was.

Monica, our day-of coordinator, and her assistant, Meredith, truly went above and beyond to deliver a beautiful execution of what we were envisioning for our big day. From the very get-go, Monica was very responsive, personable and extremely organized. She took all our ideas and wishes into account and provided the perfect solutions for every question or concern that came up throughout the entire process. A couple months before the wedding, she took over the reigns and kicked the planning into high gear. From orchestrating a well-thought out timeline to personally setting up the lounge and assembling the lighting the morning of herself, she completely exceeded all of our expectations and so much more. Our wedding day was so magical and perfect in every way. The entire day, we were so calm and completely at ease knowing we were in good hands. All of our guests still continue to comment how beautiful the whole day was and it certainly wouldn't have been that way without the help of the ladies at Bird Dog.

I'll start by saying that we would have been absolutely lost without Monica and Emily. I was not a bride that had really had a "vision" for my wedding day. I didn't even have a Pinterest board. I knew that I loved beautiful and unique flowers, that I wanted a live band, and that I was getting married at Laguna Gloria, but that's about it. During our initial meeting, Emily had very focused design questions that really helped both of us get a sense of what I loved and what I didn't love, and then shortly after, she sent over a gorgeous mood board that captured what our wedding day would look like. Meanwhile, Monica started working on vendor recommendations, pricing, and everything logistics. For the next few months of planning, they were with us every step of the way (and doing a lot of hand holding with me), thinking up amazing design details, coordinating with vendors, and everything in between. Monica and Emily are the most fantastic duo because not only are they kind (and extremely patient), but their traits and strengths compliment each other so well. Nothing, and I mean nothing, slips through the cracks between Monica and Emily, which is the greatest peace of mind that you can have on your wedding day. While I know that I am a bit biased, I honestly believe that our wedding day was one of the most gorgeous, stress-free days of our entire lives. Every wedding that they create is unique and beautiful, and we truly couldn't recommend Bird Dog more!

Can't even put into words how amazing Emily and the Bird Dog team are. I have no idea what I would've done without full planning services when I originally wasn't going to have a planner at all. The entire process was such a breeze. Emily turned our random thoughts into a wedding that was a million times better than I could have ever dreamed of and captured us perfectly. I felt like I was planning a wedding with a friend. We had an insane mini emergency that we wouldn’t have gotten through without the Bird Dog team and we'll never be able to thank them enough for working tirelessly for us!

Where do I even begin? Monica has floored me with her expertise, her meticulous attention to detail, and all the while - her calm and caring demeanor. Her first priority was always me/my fiance and continuously checking in (without being overbearing) on how we were feeling, what we needed, etc. She was even SO so good at reading between the lines, (because sometimes as Bride type-A's ourselves it's hard to ask for help), and always made sure everything was taken care of, even if it wasn't directly stated that it needed to be done. I should preface by saying that Bird Dog Weddings actually did not specifically do our wedding - which was in CA, but while living and planning our wedding from Austin, TX., it was extremely helpful to have someone close by to advise us, help with details when we had no idea what we were supposed to be doing, and keep us on track while somehow keeping us sane. The first time I even spoke to Monica about our wedding she strongly suggested we choose blue velvet table clothes (which I would have never thought to do), and get a quote for string lights (way more affordable than I thought and beyond worth it) and holy cow did it make the entire reception come together!!! Monica also communicated with my mother AND my mother-in-law about specific details (remember, *not OUR wedding planner), provided an in-depth timeline, which we then shared with our coordinator in CA., she shared tip-cheat-sheets, checklists, and everything in between. Of course, she became a guest at our wedding - which we also benefitted from, because Monica does not simply attend a wedding. She stepped in and went ABOVE & BEYOND from the rehearsal practice and spontaneously MC-ing our rehearsal dinner, to day-of last-minute crafting and frequent check-ins. I was so grateful to Monica when I was frantic and looking lost right before heading down for pictures. She came right up to me and said, "what can I do?", of course I said "nothing", but she saw the letter in my hands that said "DAD". She grabbed it from me and assured me she knew where he was and would get it to him right then. And she did. We were so fortunate to get to work with Monica. Our "DIY" wedding was a lot to take on, but I would hands-down do it all again if we got married in Austin and could have her as our planner. Do yourself a favor and hire Bird Dog Weddings. This chick knows her Sh*t!

We worked with Bird Dog Wedding to plan our Austin wedding this past April at Prospect House. It’s hard to overstate what an incredible job Emily and Monica did to make our special day perfect. We don’t know what we would have done without them. From our first meeting, when Emily and Monica picked up on our vision right away to the very last minute details on the day of, the Bird Dog team was hard working, incredibly responsive, professional, and friendly. This was all the more important because we were planning our Austin wedding from the East Coast where we live. They were able to guide us through selecting from a curated set of reliable vendors which fit our budget and design goals. Emily and Monica were the dream team for coordinating and handling all the details - many of which we hadn’t even considered. They were the ultimate calming presence in what would have been an otherwise stressful process and they were always available to answer even the smallest of questions. They consistently went above and beyond what we expected in all aspects. In the end, our wedding was an absolute dream and everything came together perfectly. We had so many guests tell us after our wedding that it was one of the most beautiful and enjoyable weddings they had ever been to. With Bird Dog, we were able to really sit back and take in our special day. We cannot give a higher recommendation to Emily and Monica. We honestly miss talking to them as they were so much fun to work with. If you are looking for a planner that will deliver a unique and personal event with attention to detail, impeccable taste, and perfect management, Bird Dog should seriously be your top choice.

I can't recommend Monica and Emily enough! We worked with them for about a year leading up to our May 2019 wedding, and the day of couldn't have gone smoother. Monica was our main point of contact and she was incredibly responsive throughout our entire relationship. She went out of her way to answer our questions, make vendor recommendations in our budget, and bring together our design in a way that far exceeded anything my husband and I could have done on our own! Emily has an incredible eye for design and was on site for our rehearsal dinner as well, which was almost as elaborate as a wedding on its own, and we couldn't have done it that night without her! If you're on the fence about hiring a planner, my biggest piece of advice is DO IT! And if you're going to hire a planner, make it Bird Dog - our day was complete and utter magic and it was entirely because of Emily and Monica's tireless work. We are forever grateful!!

I was living in New York when I started planning my destination wedding in Austin, Texas and working with Emily & Monica was wonderful despite the distance. 6 months into planning I moved to London and even with a 6+ hour time difference and busy work schedules Emily & Monica were flexible and professional throughout and absolutely wonderful to work with. From design, to vendor recommendations, to coordinating all the little details and responding to emails with lightning fast precision, Monica and Emily were on top of it all. In terms of design vision I had a strong one, and we wanted something unique and Bird Dog helped bring that vision to life from the beginning. Emily and Monica had wonderfully creative ideas and recommendations to ensure every detail was perfect along the way and always offered options for making things cost effective. Their recommendations helped us build a dream team of vendors and create the most gorgeous wedding day. We had no idea at the start just how much work goes into the planning of a wedding, and Bird Dog was great about walking us through the process with impeccable attention to detail. On the day of the wedding their team coordinated everything perfectly, we had several guests comment how cohesive the design elements were and how beautiful the entire wedding was. Monica and Emily knocked it out of the park! From our first phone call, I knew that they would be the perfect planning team to execute our non-traditional wedding ideas. Every detail was perfect because they tailored their vendor list to fit our vision. They were always available to answer my many emails, and it was a true collaboration. I also can't say enough about their day-of execution. I barely noticed any of the vendors, and every detail was set up perfectly. The entire wedding ran smoothly, and many of my guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to!

I don’t even know where to start with Emily & Bird Dog Wedding other than she is absolutely amazing. From the moment we first spoke we clicked, and I’m so thankful to have had her as my wedding planner. In thinking about my wedding, I was most stressed about putting a design plan together and being able to visualize how the space would look. Emily basically took random magazine clippings I had collected and put together the most beautiful design plan with even the smallest details thought out. I’m so glad I totally entrusted her and gave her the reigns on how it should all look. I’ll never forget the feeling of walking into the venue on our wedding day and feeling overwhelmed by how gorgeous everything was! From the design of the space to the random details throughout the night, Emily allowed us to be unique in what we wanted and put it all together so wonderfully. And not only did Emily have an incredible eye for the design of the space, she also recommended a STELLAR group of vendors. Every single vendor was so kind and easy to work with that I honestly forgot wedding planning was supposed to be stressful. My bridal party was also so complimentary of how organized and on top of things Emily and her team was. She even sent her sweet husband out to grab more alcohol halfway through the night when our group turned out to be a bit thirsty - ha - and kept all of the stress off of me. But in all seriousness, I can’t imagine anyone else doing as beautiful of a job as Emily. She is THE reason everything came together to perfectly and that I will always look back on our wedding so fondly.

Emily and Monica were a fantastic team to plan our wedding. They're friendly, engaging, and most importantly patient. Coming from out of town, we used their full service package and it was well worth it. Lots of planners can handle the logistics, but we valued Emily and Monica's design POV as well. They were open to our ideas and made it happen. Despite some rain, our wedding day was perfectly smooth, due mostly to Bird Dog. In the end that's by far the most valuable thing. Emily and Monica were incredible, not just at handling the logistics seamlessly, but also by doing an extraordinary job creating a unique and astonishing design. Everything looked amazing! We loved the idea of something that was romantic but masculine with bright, deeper tones that represent us: emotional, bold, whimsical, and strong, and they really delivered. We got married at 800 congress, which is a “blank slate” venue, so all the design had to be brought in. From a zillion rentals, custom pieces, tons of vendors, etc., it was amazing how everything really came together to form a cohesive, unique look that surpassed everything we had dreamed of. Emily and Monica connected us phenomenal team of vendors. We had no stress on our wedding day and everything went as planned! Further, we do not live in Austin, and could not have found all the wonderful people remotely. They offered amazing advice on each decision. Working with Bird Dog, we came up with a number of unique touches that would not have come together in less experienced hands. We could not be happier with our wedding, and we are actually a bit sad we do not have another event to work with them on. We miss working with Bird Dog!

Emily and Monica of Bird Dog are the absolute BEST in every way! My wedding was everything I wanted and more, and it is all thanks to these two!! Design: The design process was so much fun – Emily is so creative and dreamed up this unique, gorgeous plan. The final product was AMAZING and better than I could have imagined! Every individual aspect was beautiful, but it was the collective effect that created the perfect ambiance. Everyone kept saying “it’s so YOU” – which is a testament to Emily’s ability to imbue her couple’s personality into the design. Planning Process: I hired a wedding planner because I didn’t want to have to make the decisions, and I loved that Emily took that on and would simply say “here’s who I think is going to nail your stationery / flowers / rentals, etc.” I totally trusted her and the vendors that she recommended, and I’m so glad that I did! When it came to all of the logistics, budget, etc., Monica and Emily were constantly 10 steps ahead. I didn’t have an ounce of stress during the entire process! On top of everything, Emily and Monica are just wonderful, fun people that are a joy to be around. Wonderful experience all around and highly, highly recommend!!

Cannot say enough good things about Emily and her team. She has the most amazing eye for design. Everything she does is beautiful and she is able to really capture your style. I can't even describe how amazing Emily was planning our wedding. She planned and designed the entire thing and it was PERFECT. She took the exact vibe and feel that I wanted and then made it better, recommending vendors but always available to answer questions or feedback. All of our guests were very impressed with how beautiful and well planned our wedding was (I received countless compliments, even weeks after about how well done it was), and everything went off without a hitch. In addition to that, I was the calmest bride and had zero stress leading up to the wedding. I talked to people the week before my wedding and they would say "wait YOU'RE the bride? you're so calm!" but it's all due to Emily and her immaculate planning and organization. I'm the only person I know who's actually sad wedding planning is over because it was so enjoyable! I hope I'm invited to a Bird Dog Wedding in the future so I can experience one again :)

Emily is phenomenally talented. She helped us achieve a dream wedding at the South Congress Hotel complete with floral ceiling installation and a very modern romantic vibe. From a creativity and artistic perspective, it is easy to see that Emily has serious talent. When we reached out to her, we were immediately impressed by her website and prior works. She has the whole package though - the whole event was flawlessly organized and we felt so well looked after. She even helped us keep our budget and track all expenses which made my dad super happy. The few weeks before the wedding I was so comforted by the fact that we had Emily on our team. It was easy to forget that she has a full calendar because she always made us feel like we were her only client. We really feel that she is like part of our family now and we are going to be eternally grateful. Emily is not only talented but really just a wonderful person. You will want her on your team!!!

I appreciated her through the entire planning process and her day-of coordination services go FAR beyond the value. She has a special knack for listening to her clients and then bringing their vision to life. There were so many elements that I didn't even know how to clearly articulate and she decoded my words into wedding dreams. The event felt flawless, but as we know -- that takes so much effort and is solely due to Emily's maestro boss skills making sure that everything was just right. HIRE HER!!!!

I reached out to this vendor simply to inquire about their pricing and services. Their work seems beautiful and inspired, and they were recommended to me by a friend in the industry. I contacted them to find out more information, and instead of providing that, they asked me to fill out a form with detailed information, including my budget. Days later, they rejected me as a poor fit, without providing a reason. Up until that moment, I had felt only joy and excitement when planning my wedding. Suddenly, even though I had only been trying to find out more about their services and whether they would fit into my budget and logistical needs (I had really hoped they would), I felt rejected and inadequate as a bride. I imagine they do beautiful work, but their method of vetting clients really stings.

We hired Emily for month of coordination, the design package, and help planning rehearsal dinner. I cannot sing her praises enough! She is very professional, promptly responds to e-mails/questions, and has great relationships with vendors in the Austin area. I was so happy with her design direction and the execution. After discussing our vision and budget for the wedding she provided excellent vendor recommendations and was involved in meetings that really helped everything come together perfectly. Additionally, her coordination made the wedding and time leading up to it smooth and stress free. I was particularly impressed with the timeline she put together. It was very detailed to make sure nothing is overlooked so we could just enjoy the entire weekend! I would definitely recommend her for wedding or any other events where a planner is needed. I hired Carmen to my wedding coordinator and brains behind the design of my Dripping Springs wedding and I am so glad I did. She is enthusiastic and easy to work with. She is creative and has great ideas for décor and table top set ups... She was organized with all the little things you as the bride may not want to deal with or frankly. didn't KNOW you had to deal with in the first place! Her response times were ideal, she was accessible, timely and fun to work with. She has a great eye for all things lovely and was very patient with me as I went back and forth on what I wanted the overall feel of my big day to be. We used Emily and Celeste at Bird Dog Wedding for month-of coordination services. I HIGHLY recommend month-of coordination (there are so many logistical details that you have to sort through near the end), and Emily and Celeste were total pros. Not only did they help in the month of, they also made themselves available in the year leading up to the wedding to offer suggestions for vendors, design advice, etc. I valued their expertise and I bet they are even MORE awesome when they plan an event start-to-finish.

Working with Emily and team was one of the best things we did. My husband and I were engaged six years ago. The thought of having to plan the big day actually struck fear in the both of us. But that being said, I'd actually been putting together quite the Pinterest board (both a blessing and a curse—a curse only because it's hard to live up to the standard set on the site). But after emailing Emily my board and meeting with her in person, I knew I'd met a kindred spirit and she'd nailed exactly what we wanted. Coining our style "Southwest Bohemian", we had so many fantastic details incorporated into our day. Her team literally transformed the Palm Door into something that spoke to us. I'm still in a post-wedding day bliss; we really can't stop gushing about how amazing the day was and why did we ever wait so long to do this? We feel so blessed to have worked with Bird Dog Wedding. Every single detail was accounted for, from the lace teepee (EEK!!!!!) and my gorgeous bouquet (thanks, Sarah!!!) to the flower-girls' crowns and their "Here She Comes" sign ... even the "aisle" I walked down, put together from afghan rugs was perfect—not to mention the bright/fun bar streamers and dessert backdrop (both perfect for picture backdrops!!!). She even thought about what napkins would work best with our table setting. Seriously, EVERY detail was accounted for. It's an indescribable feeling to marry your favorite person in the world and not have to worry about anything but each other on the days leading up to it. I hired Emily for the decor for my San Diego wedding and she was such delight to work with. She had so many creative ideas and I was blown away from the final project. I am so happy that I had the opportunity to work with her & would highly recommend her.

Emily is so fantastic. She completely calmed me down and kept things going smoothly. She is laid-back and I loved that. She is adaptable, flexible and willing to roll with the punches easily. Yet, she is organized and on top of it all. She was willing to step in when we needed her and backed off when the wedding designer took care of other aspects. If I was getting married again (hope not!!!), I would use Bird Dog again in a heartbeat!

I was debating whether I could do our wedding planning myself (long distance, no less)...thank goodness I came to my senses. Emily is incredible, and I would recommend her to anyone who appreciates professionalism, sincerity, attention to detail, a positive attitude and a wonderful sense of humor! The weather wasn’t cooperating so well on our wedding day and it was freezing, so we had to move an outdoor wedding indoors last minute. It could have resulted in complete chaos, but everything ran so smoothly and turned out to be even better in the end. I owe it all to Emily because she handled the day-of coordination – as well as our HUGE (30+) wedding party – with ease. She is extremely creative, has exceptional taste and is so knowledgeable and skilled in her craft – there is honestly no one I would have rather worked with for our wedding. Emily is an absolute gem. She is organized, attentive, creative, thoughtful, and just plain incredible at her job. Although we hired Emily for day of coordination only, I felt like she was there every step of the way to make planning more efficient and seamless. She did an amazing job working closely with our florist to create a visually beautiful environment, and coordinated closely with vendors to have the schedule running on time, even when long speeches and unexpected musical surprises created a few scheduling "kinks." We thought our wedding was perfect, and I could not ask for a better person to be in charge that day.
