THE ONLY CATERER YOU NEED TO LOOK AT!
Biscuits & Berries catered my June 2016 wedding at Lone Hawk Farm in Longmont. Our venue really required the use of a full service caterer... and Biscuits & Berries was fantastic in that they were truly and... FULL SERVICE caterer.
I really enjoyed working with Breanna from the very beginning. First- I was living out of town during wedding planning and asked if they could accomodate a tasting (for my sister and I since my then-fiance could not make it) the week of Thanksgiving 2015 when I was in town. They did, and happily. A full meal, a meeting with Breanna and the chef, on short notice, like a day before Thanksgiving. WOW- I was immediately impressed and they only continued to impress me from there.
They worked with me to create a very Colorado-centric menu, which is something I wanted as many of our guests were coming in from NY. We enjoyed a grilled chicken covered with peaches and hatch green chilis from Palisade CO, goat cheese sliders from local Haystack cheese co in Longmont CO, veggies roasted in honey from Durango CO, you get the picture. It was all phenomenal and our guests raved about it.
Biscuits ensured set up and tear down, and did just that, without me having to lift a finger. They even wrapped my table flowers in saran-wrap around the stems so I could take them home that night. Our bartender was AMAZING, I think his name was Ken. Our guests absolutely loved him and he offered a very fun vibe to the bar area- everyone was always smiling ear to ear up at the bar and I'm pretty sure it was all Ken. I am so glad he worked our bar!
The only thing that can could have been improved, I think, was the hand-off between my point person for the planning leading up to the wedding, and my day-of point person. Normally, the day-of point person is there for the walk through, but she was not able to come for mine. Breanna (point person for planning) assured me that the day-of point person would know everything that needed done and there were a few things lost in translation- at one point I had to go into the kitchen, in my wedding gown, to find signs I had made that were supposed to be out. Also, we were told we would have "picnic boxes" made for myself and my husband to take home at the end of the night- this is something Biscuits does for the newlyweds which is a very nice gesture- but we never received any such box. Honestly, these are very small things in comparison to the many wonderful things I loved about working with Biscuits- I am only mentioning this in case it can help for the future.
I am happy to give Biscuits 5 stars and would give them more if I could. There were so many positives- fruit chilled water at the ceremony site, seamless transitions between parts of the wedding day, efficient and hands-off set up and tear down, a SUPER professional waitstaff team, and so much more. The waitstaff knew my husband and I by name and checked up on us as if we were royalty- perfect for a wedding day. They were wonderful to work with. Thank you all!!!!
