Bistro to Go was amazing as the caterer for our wedding! We did an awesome tasting with them (so much amazing food!!!). They worked with me to fit my vision & stay on a budget. The food was FANTASTIC! And they even manned the PGH cookie table, which was super important for my mother-in-law. I highly recommend them!

Bistro To Go was outstanding. Their reputation speaks for itself, and we felt confident putting our trust in them from the start. The food was more like a home-cooked meal than what you’d expect from a typical wedding caterer, and the variety on the menu was really impressive. We had a family member pass before the wedding, and received a beautiful flower arrangement from their staff to lift our spirits. That kind of thoughtfulness and care embodies exactly the kind of company they are. Thank you to Tim, Nikki, Kayla, Shauna, and the whole crew!!

Everything was perfect. The food was amazing. We got an amazing taste testing at the beginning. They were so attentive and made sure everything was absolutely perfect.

The whole team at Bistro to Go was amazing! From planning the menu and working with us on our budget to helping us coordinate our linens and silverware and everything in between to make the day run smoothly was so incredibly helpful. Not only did the food taste amazing (the whipped cream potatoes were out of this world!), but it looked so beautiful. We had so many guests compliment how good our food was. They exceeded our expectations, and we cannot thank them and the staff enough for the time and work that went into our day! Special shoutout to Laurie for helping us coordinate everything and being on top of everything the day of (and keeping us hydrated during our outdoor wedding during a heat wave)!

The Bistro team was so incredible over the course of the 2 years we spent planning our wedding. From crafting our menu, to hosting our family for our tasting, to treating us like royalty on our wedding day, I cannot say enough incredible things about their communication, presentation, service, and the unreal food we had. Our families haven't stopped raving about it and fought over the leftovers. Huge thanks to Shauna, Tim, and Chef Rick for all their hard work. They were a dream to work with and the food was such a highlight of our celebration.

Bistro to Go did an incredible job for our vegan wedding. They worked with us to create a menu we loved and made time to answer any questions we had along the way. They had a complimentary tasting and the chefs even hopped on zoom calls throughout the planning to make sure the menu had been completely perfected. Shauna and the team also worked with us to provide the most inclusive menu possible - with plenty of gluten free options and nut free options in addition to the wedding being fully vegan. This made sure everyone attending the wedding could fully enjoy the food, which was extremely important to us. All of my non-vegan friends and family were raving about the food! My meat-eating uncle actually said "if all vegan food tasted like this I could go vegan." The meals were beautifully plated and the service was excellent. My non-vegan parents were so relieved and happy we went with Bistro. We had actually started with another company for our wedding, but after hiring them it was very difficult to reach them and when we did, it didn't feel like there was a willingness to work on customizing a menu for our wedding. We ended up switching to Bistro to Go and it was the best decision we made.

We just had Bistro To Go cater our wedding and I cannot say enough good things about their staff. Shauna, Nikki, Kayla, and Jessica made everything a breeze. They answered any questions we had (even if we thought we were asking stupid ones, lol). Everyone was blown away by the food! I think that was the most frequent compliment we got through the night. A couple months after we'd done our tasting and picked our menu, I got diagnosed with celiac disease. As someone who was still adjusting, I got nervous about asking for any sort of accommodation. It was no problem for them, and they were happy to provide us with gluten free crackers and pasta. I cannot recommend Bistro To Go enough. They're worth every penny!

Bistro To Go provided the food for our wedding & WOW was it delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed the food tasting we got to do with our families before the big day, sampling many food options to decide what we wanted to serve at our wedding. The team helped us in our decision making with what foods would pair best. Wedding day, everyone raved about the hors d vours, especially the grand display charcuterie board! Our dual-plated chicken & beef meal was amazing too! They were efficiently with serving all 200+ guests their meals & were careful in accommodating many food allergies too. Throughout the planning process & on our wedding day, Bistro was a dream team to work with for catering!

Bistro is incredible. Not only is their food delicious but their staff members are kind, responsive, knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating. We received so many compliments from our wedding guests regarding the food they provided. 10/10 will always recommend.

Our wedding venue required us to choose 1 of 3 caterers, Bistro to Go being one of those 3. After doing a little research, we determined that Bistro was the caterer we wanted to work with. From the first phone call, to our private tasting, all of my emails back & forth and then finally our wedding day, we couldn't have chosen better! Bistro to Go was easy to work with & very helpful in guiding us through the process of choosing our wedding reception dinner. They also helped us choose our bartender, and were great at coordinating with Eventioneers who handled all of our rentals (table cloths, flatware, dishes, etc.) for the day. Most importantly, the food was beyond delicious. Many if not most of our guests came up to us during and after the wedding saying how impressed they were with the food. The staff was so friendly and professional and helped to make our day that much more special. We would 1000% hire them again and definitely will do so in the future. 😊

Bistro To Go was the exclusive caterer of our venue. At first I was nervous with only one choice, but after our first phone call and tasting I knew we were in good hands. Nikki and her team truly care about their couples and their wedding days. We were really able to tailor our menu to our liking and keep it in our budget. Our guests raved about the food and we definitely feel like it was not your average wedding food. Highly pleased and thankful for the bistro staff!

Our venue established a partnership with Bistro to Go, and we are certainly glad that they did! Nikki and her team were very helpful and creative in helping us develop a station-style dinner that included two of their signature stations, and two that we imagined as a reflection of our relationship (chinese takeout and a Pittsburgh/Tampa mashup). They were accommodating of the various dietary constraints of our guests and worked with us to make adjustments that kept us within our budget. The food was absolutely delicious and our only regret from our wedding was not eating more of it! Every step along the way, from the consultation phone call, to the private tasting, to the prepared plates for us during the reception, made us feel special and assured us our requests were being met.

This was a life saver! We needed a small but diverse spread and they did it! The Mac n Cheese squares were on point 🤌 The staffing minimum can be hard for small weddings but no one had to wait on anything so #worthit.

We hired Bistro to Go for our wedding and absolutely loved them! The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the entire Bistro team was great to work with from the start, from answering my endless emails to putting on a beautiful tasting and coming up with new and creative dishes for us (I'm a vegetarian, so it was really important to me to have plenty of great vegetarian options (like fake chicken and waffle apps and vegan crab cakes for dinner!)) I also love how much Bistro values sustainability and having a positive impact on the community. I definitely recommend Bistro to Go!

Don't walk, RUN to book Bistro-to-go for you Wedding catering needs! I cannot say enough nice things about Nikki and every member of her team. We had a plated meal - beef tenderloin or salmon - and we are STILL hearing accolades from our guests about how delicious the food was and about the high quality service. From our original inquiry/the booking process, to the execution of the meal itself and everything in between -- they were phenomenal! One of the most important things for us on our day was the food and Bistro did not disappoint. Would book them 10 times over. Highly recommend!!!

By far, the biggest compliment we received about our wedding (and still continue to receive) was the food. Bistro to Go worked at Pinerock before, so they came highly recommended. Both of our families met downtown for a tasting about a year before the wedding, and we were blown away. We did no other tastings because we were so confident in their food and service. Nikki has created such an amazing company that truly feels like a family! The servers that worked our wedding were the absolute best. As mentioned above, it was the hottest day ever and those servers never let a guest’s glass of water run dry. They were CONSTANTLY checking on my husband and me throughout the evening. We chose a buffet style dinner with lots of hours d'orves and the most spectacular cheese and fruit display that I have ever seen. The lemon parm chicken, pierogies and kielbasa, and brie with this delicious caramel sauce were just a few of my personal favorites!

Extremely unresponsive. I had to reach out twice for basic information before getting a response. When I finally did hear from Nikki she didn’t provide any info and just said our budget was too low. She did offer to discuss options over the phone, however when I ask for her availability to chat, I never heard back from her again. This was frustrating coming from the preferred vendor for our venue. We ended up having to pay a fee to bring in an outside caterer because this recommended one was so hard to work with.

When we first spoke to Nikki on the phone, I knew she was going to be great to work with. Very early on, Nikki worked with us to create a special menu for our big day. We had a Pittsburgh Station with pierogies, kielbasa, and mini Primanti style sandwiches. A second station had comfort favorites like Parmesan pasta and BBQ brisket. The food was truly incredible. It is far and away the best wedding food I ever had. Plus, everyone at Bistro is a joy to work with. I had great experience with Nikki, Shauna, Kayla, and all of our day of staff. At the last minute, we were able to add on a catered lunch for our bridal party that Bistro delivered to our hotel. I would definitely recommend Bistro if you are looking for an efficient, organized caterer who can make even the most unusual vision come to life!

We cannot even begin to thank Nikki and the staff at Bistro for their amazing help making our daughter’s wedding day the perfect day! Everyone was extremely helpful during the planning process and everyone who worked the event was super polite to all of our guests. Everything was very organized and our guests were served quickly. The food was absolutely delicious and we received so many compliments! We cannot thank you enough for everything!

Nikki and her entire staff at The Bistro were wonderful to work with from the pre planning tasting, meal selections, and coordination up to the day of our daughters wedding. Our guests are still raving about the steak and crab cake dinner!!! Everything was absolutely perfect. The appetizers and charcuterie table were beautifully displayed, so delicious and enjoyed by our guests. The team at the Bistro were responsive to all of our phone calls and emails and I felt that each and every question or concern was handled professionally and in a timely manner. I’m so glad we chose The Bistro!!!! Can’t wait to use them again!!!

Bistro to go was absolutely amazing to work with for my wedding. Nikki and her team know how to take an idea and make it a reality. We asked for a non-traditional, station-style wedding and they created exactly what we were looking for! The food was phenomenal and the presentation was beautiful. The entire team was so personable and friendly. You can't ask for a more dedicated team to make your event special.

You can’t deny that Bistro to Go food is delicious and the displays will be gorgeous, however my husband and I had a negative experience with this vendor, especially the owner Nikki. I could expand greatly, but to summarize for those taking the time to read this review I will shorten what all went down. The contract states that you have unlimited phone calls to discuss your wedding menu, but even when I gave the courtesy of pre-scheduling dates and times with the owner Nikki she put me on hold several times and then asked if she could call me back. I understand they are a busy place, but I work full time and have a busy schedule too. It made me feel un-important, and this happened on more than one phone ‘appointment’ occasion. We chose to have stations at our wedding and not ONCE did Nikki or any of her staff tell us that stations take longer to serve, or that our venue Pinerock Farm was not a good set up for stations. Nikki claims (yes I have this is writing!) she met us in person twice at the Bistro to discuss her concerns, problem is I’ve NEVER met the woman. I’m not sure if she has me confused with another customer, or she really just lies. Dinner service took at least an hour and a half (although I wish I’d timed it myself, because it felt like 2.5 hours…) The band wasn’t able to start playing and guests even left because they had eaten long ago and the reception wasn’t beginning… We even did a walk through at the venue a few days before the wedding where Nikki the owner was supposed to be on site, but she didn’t show up, and didn’t tell me she wouldn’t be attending, She instead sent two of her staff members who were professional, organized, and I feel did a great job overall, If there were an issue with the floor plan which was not conducive for a station menu, why didn’t these ladies say anything at the meeting, even when I asked if this set up was going to be a problem? I feel because Nikki made it up to cover up instead of owning things and being a professional business owner. The ladies who work for Bistro I apologize because I loved working with you, and none of this is your fault. I put the blame on the owner Nikki. I have a crazy email thread going back and forth with the owner trying to make sense of what happened, but I was simply looking for answers of why it took our guests so long to be served. If I’d known what I know now I would have never selected stations for my wedding, and never chose Bistro to Go to cater it. I think the owner attempts to have her hands in everything and micromanage, and she should entrust her staff to take care of things when clearly she can’t keep up with the pace. I’m sure I’ll get more lies in response here from the owner, but I would advise brides to go with a much smaller catering company who truly care about their clients.

Nikki was the BEST! Not only was the food absolutely fantastic, but she made every step of the process so easy. She has so much knowledge about events management that it was almost like having a wedding coordinator! She has such attention to detail and it was a joy to menu plan with her because she appreciates flavor and presentation so much. The staff at the event were fantastic, and they made everything go so smoothly. Absolutely hire Bistro for any event needs you have as you will receive so much more than amazing food, you get service that is like it is coming from a family member.

Bistro to go is the BEST caterer in Pittsburgh! They are the easiest to work with and their food is delicious! I was so excited we were able to use them for our November 2021 wedding. They let you know all the equipment you need to rent and meet with you plenty of times leading up to the big day. They also work to make sure everything is perfect. I am obsessed with Parks n Rec and had a sign for our cookie table "Treat Yo Self". Our day of manager, Jess, had a light up sign with this saying. She ran home to grab it for me! They're all seriously incredible, they went above and beyond for us. 10/10 recommend Bistro to Go!

Bistro To-Go is truly the best. We were looking at how to make our wedding as sustainable as possible and saw they were rated Gold on Sustainable Pittsburgh. We wanted our wedding to be as relaxed, welcoming and fun as possible, so we skipped a sit down dinner and did food stations and a large grazing table. I don’t think anyone besides Bistro could have pulled it off, or as beautifully. Our tasting by Chef Rick and Nancy prior to was excellent. My meetings with (and countless questions directed to) Shauna were great - she was always prompt, professional and put me at ease. Jessica, our day of coordinator and lead, was excellent. Staff was so efficient, professional and polite day of! And of course, Nikki and Kayla were wonderfully instrumental throughout this whole process. Truly an incredible, local group to work with. They didn’t just cater our food, they catered to our vision!

Bistro To Go catered my wedding this past weekend and they were amazing. I have gotten so many compliments on the food already and it hasn't even been a week. We did a station style wedding and it was a huge hit. I worked with Nikki and Shauna leading up to the big day and for planning and prep. They were so helpful and sweet. They helped to make sure everything was ready exactly as I envisioned. The banquet manager, chefs, and staff the day of my wedding were also so kind and helpful. The banquet manager ensured I was happy with everything, as did the chef! Multiple staff members also checked in to make sure we were happy with our experience and didn't need anything. We loved our experience with them! We would highly recommend them!

Bistro To Go was the absolute perfect choice for our catering vendor! Nikki was awesome to work with and she made a lot of great recommendations in terms of food choices and quantities. They absolutely hit it out of the park for our wedding and my wife has since used them for company events as well! Highly recommend!!

Bistro to Go is truly amazing. Not only was the food spectacular and exactly what we wanted, but everyone who came to work our wedding was fantastic. They were so attentive and invested in the wedding. Some even came out and did the Cha Cha slide with us! I cannot recommend Bistro to Go enough. Our thanks to Nikki and staff for an absolutely fantastic meal for our wedding rehearsal dinner on 11/26/21. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Bistro through the entire process. I know that everyone is extremely busy but each time I talked with anyone at Bistro it was a genuinely enjoyable conversation and felt like I was the only person they were dealing with. Their responsiveness in emails was also excellent. The food arrived on time and the delivery person was very nice. The chicken parmesan was ridiculously good as was everything else. The portions were extremely generous and the price was very reasonable. I really appreciated Nikki working with me to tailor the menu to my small event which was also on a budget. Everyone at the dinner wanted to know where the food was from! A friend of mine is getting married next year and her venue has a choice of Bistro or another caterer. After I raved about our experience, I’m pretty sure she’s going to be using Bistro!

Our daughter's wedding was the first DIY and remote wedding in our family and I honestly didn't expect the amount of work, coordination and stress pulling off this type of wedding requires. Choosing a caterer is the most important decision because let's face it, food is the center of the reception! From the moment we choose BTG, I knew I could check it off my list and not have to think about it. You were helpful with choosing a menu and when you did the tasting your presentation of the food was gorgeous! Your staff and you were happy to answer the several questions I had as well as accommodating dietary restrictions for some of our guests. Then the big day arrived! Tim was our wedding person, he is fantastic! The entire staff from chef to bus persons were just incredible and SO VERY HELPFUL! And, they are just really nice and pleasant people! I received so many compliments on how wonderful the food was and how beautiful the presentation was. At the end of the night your staff really went above and beyond to help us pack all that stuff you need to make the venue look lovely. I am so very grateful to you and your staff for making the wedding day perfect! If you were in Philly I would send everyone I know needing a caterer to you!

Bistro to Go was the easiest vendor for us to pick because we were so blown away by Nikki and her teams work ethic and their AMAZING food. We had a taste testing last year and my family and I felt like celebrities. Brandon was our server and made the experience so memorable. My dad is a foodie and could not stop talking about how delicious all the food was. We booked them the next day for our wedding! Our reception venue was at the Stables at Hartwood which is a new wedding venue. Nikki and her team came to multiple site visits to make sure everything would be perfect for our special day. We got married in September and our wedding guests are still talking about how awesome the food was. We ended up doing different stations at our reception which made everything flow great. I have dreams about their butternut squash ravioli because it is spectacular! Nikki really made us feel apart of the Bistro family and we are so thankful for her and her team! Thank you for making our wedding day PERFECT!!

Nikki and her team were phenomenal! The moment we set up our tasting I knew there would be no better choice and I was absolutely right. The food was spectacular! We got the pulled pork and the crispy chicken with honey mustard for our entrees and the crowd could not stop talking about how delicious it was. We met her one afternoon and we were instantly sold because she made us feel so special. We first started planning our wedding with Bistro To Go over 2 years ago. Nikki and her team stuck with us as we postponed and rescheduled our wedding. There were so many menu options to choose from. They put on an amazing tasting for us and we left with an abundance of leftovers! Nikki even let us pick some appetizers from Pinterest to incorporate for our cocktail hour. Nikki or someone from our team attended 2 walk throughs at our venue in the months leading up to our wedding. They work with Party Savvy, another vendor of ours, behind the scenes to decide the amount of dishes and utensils we would need for serving/prep. The Bistro to Go team set up our very large cookie table, as well! They made it so easy for us from beginning to end. Nikki also put together a stunning cheese/fruit display that stopped all our guests in their tracks. Overall, everything was absolutely perfect and the food was outstanding! I would recommend that anyone planning a wedding hire Bistro To Go for catering. Working with Nikki was like working with family. I truly felt like she was just as excited for our wedding as we were.

Bistro to go was amazing. From start to finish- Nikki, owner, helped plan the most gorgeous menu according to the bride and grooms vision. Erika, the team leader the day of the wedding, was kind, courteous, competent, and led her team so well -always with a smile and with grace. There were so many delicious and sophisticated options - we loved the prime rib and mac and cheese stations - which were all displayed so beautifully. WOW! Where to start, Bistro had done multiple events for our family now and they have all been more than we could have ever expected!! Our wedding was on 7/17/21 - I don't think I will ever be able to express all of my gratitude and appreciation for this company. It was absolutely amazing in every way! Nikki will go out of her way to ensure that all of your needs are met. She is truly an angel and is like family to us. The food is so incredible! My guests are still talking about how amazing our food stations were - they loved the variety to choose from. Tim, our site manager, ensured that our day ran very smooth! He has such a calming and caring personality. He made sure we were having an awesome time as well. Bistro staff is like family to us now! We knew going in that we wanted to do a vegetarian wedding, and to offer an extensive and exciting array of food for our guests. Nikki was awesome to work with, she had endless ideas for us and offered up so many suggestions it was hard to narrow it down! We were very happy with how everything turned out. The hors d’oeuvres salads, foods and baked goods turned out delicious. I think some of our guests didn’t even realize it was vegetarian. We got lots of compliments on the food and would recommend Bistro to Go for any event, especially if looking to do Vegetarian or Vegan!

We loved BistroToGo so much that we booked them for both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding! Nikki is nothing short of amazing, as she is kind, responsive, and professional in all that she does. At our wedding, we received so many compliments on our yummy summer BBQ menu. People also could not stop raving about the quality customer service that the BistroToGo staff provided. We will definitely use BistroToGo again for our catering needs and highly recommend them to others!

Wow wow WOW I cannot say enough about the food and service from Bistro To Go. I have never heard so many guests comment on how tasty the food was at a wedding but I am so happy that our friends and family were so pleased! We knew right away at our tasting that the food day-of would be killer. The mini meatballs were the biggest hit! Along with the food itself, the service was impeccable. I had multiple meetings and calls with members of the BTG team in the weeks leading up to our wedding and it took so much weight off my shoulders knowing how organized and prepared they would be for our wedding. You 100% will not regret using Bistro for your wedding or any event for that matter!

Bistro to Go just catered our wedding at Bramblewood a few weeks ago and they were so incredible to work with. First and foremost, the food was absolutely delicious! We chose to do stations (Mexican, Texas Roadhouse, Pittsburgh, and Italian). All of our guests raved about the food not only the day of, but for days after, too! It’s not everyday that weddings have such tasty and original food choices that have guests going up for seconds. We are trying to find an excuse to need a caterer again just so we can use Bistro for another celebration! Not only was the food the wedding dinner of our dreams, but Nikki and her staff were so awesome to work with, too. They are so responsive throughout the entire process and it is so evident that they care about every single detail of your day. My husband and I can’t recommend Bistro to Go enough for any event you need catered—big or small! We will definitely be using them again in the future for events and will be making stops to the restaurant in between, too!

Nikki and her team remained highly professional, supportive, flexible, and an absolute pleasure to work with. And the food was out of this world good!!! The day before our wedding, our venue cancelled on us. Nikki and her team very quickly rallied around us to pivot to a reception in our home and executed at the highest level. We opted for food stations with a blend of our Pittsburgh & Florida backgrounds. Nikki and her team of chefs worked with us and create a unique and creative food experience including our guests favorite - the Pittsburgh Paella! Within a matter of days of our wedding, our finalized contract of 106 guests dropped to 40. Bistro saved our excess food and allowed us to pick up the next day hot & fresh to continue to share with our out of town guests. Wow what a wedding it was! Bistro to go was fabulous. From my first inquiry call with Nikki to the tiniest detail on wedding day. Nikki, Tim Wendy and their staff went above and beyond to make my daughters dream wedding a reality. I realized I was in good hands when we had a meeting at the venue a few weeks out. They were professional, prepared and asked about 100 questions. Questions I hadn’t even thought about. They were polite, kind and excited for my daughter. The food was delicious and spectacularly displayed. The appetizers, also delicious and plentiful The guests raved about the tenderloin fillet. Pre-pandemic my wife and I went to a bridal show and hooked up with a caterer and became pretty set on them. Then once things started to take a turn, said caterer pretty much ghosted us. My wife and I began to accept that since we were getting closer to the wedding that no caterer would be comfortable enough to take on our day. However, angels entered our life. Those angels being Bistro to Go. Nikki and her amazing team were our knights in shining armor! I cannot say enough positive things about Bistro to Go. First, working with them was spectacular. The emails were always prompt, positive, and personal. That is what I love about this company. The connection I made with every single person I talked to made this wedding planning experience so special. My wife and I went to our tasting and we had the BEST time. We felt so welcomed and the food was mouth-watering delicious. At that tasting, and even from my correspondence with Bistro, we knew they were meant to be out caterers. From start to finish Nikki was there for us. We thought we would have more trouble with an entirely vegan menu. Her suggestions were spot on for what the happy couple envisioned. We liked her and her team so much that we used them for not just the reception, but the bridal shower and the rehearsal dinner as well. Everything was wonderful. During the reception we were getting comments from guests about how excellent the food was - even from surprised meat eaters.
