Black Diamond Barbeque

We hired Black Diamond to cater our wedding on July 2 at The Trailside Inn. STILL dreaming about this food! Although their barbecue is fantastic, Black Diamond can create some seriously gourmet meals and it’s clear that the owner, Jason, only provides high quality cuisine. He actually made sure to be there on the day, and we saw him preparing food during our cocktail hour. Their catering menu is very diverse, and they were great about accommodating anything else we wanted or needed (we had a few vegan guests, which was no problem). We did a buffet, with pulled chicken, steak and salmon. We had three sides but the talk of the night was the mac and cheese, everyone loved it. They also did pretzels for our late night snacks, with beer cheese that is SO good. The bartenders were excellent as well, no one had to wait for a drink all night. Highly recommend!

Jason, Denny and everyone at Black Diamond are wonderful and their food and drinks are amazing! Having them cater our reception was the best decision and we could not be happier with how everything turned out. Our guests can not stop talking about how incredible our food was! We heard lots of, best wedding food ever, you set the bar so high, this was the best meal I’ve ever had. From the apps to the entrees, to the late night snacks, everything was perfect. The drinks were outstanding and things moved quickly at the bar (no one wants to spend all night waiting in line for a drink!). They brought homemade syrups made with local ingredients :) Throughout the entire planning process, they were so helpful and accommodating (even as we made significant changes due to COVID). They made us feel so comfortable and at ease. They are busy people, so it can sometimes take a little bit for them to get back to an email or voicemail if it is early in the planning process. Being a really type A person, I know that can cause a little anxiety, but I promise, as the event gets closer, their communication is so fast and efficient. They really are on top of it and want the event to be exactly as you hoped it to be- and they’ll make it happen. So if it takes them a second to get back to you, I would say that are absolutely worth the wait. As far as the rest of their staff goes, every single person we interacted with was kind and professional. I can not recommend Black Diamond highly enough!

Jason and the gang at black diamond were great. All of our guests raved that our food was the best wedding food they have ever had! Jason and his staff made sure to check in on my husband and I and make sure we had food and dessert and even sent trays of appetizers to the separate location we were taking pictures. I would 100% use them again if I had to do it over.

Oh, heavens! Wow! I've been to a lot of weddings in my time and made it through with food that is okay, because, the food is supposed to be secondary to the reason we're there, right? I've had Jason's food at a local Farmers' Market in the summer--he has a tent there. What I want to say is that this food was SO good that I wish he'd open up a restaurant! The ONLY reason we didn't have him cater the wedding was that our daughter wanted a particular venue that didn't allow outside caterers. ANd don't let the barbecue name fool you into thinking he is limited to burgers and hot dogs and pig roasts. His offerings are far more varied than that. RUN to this person NOW if you're even CONSIDERING having him cater. You will NOT BE disappointed!
