The food was amazing—there were absolutely no complaints, and our guests are still talking about how much they loved it. From the bar and dancing to the DJ, Photo Booth, and cake, every detail was executed flawlessly.

for a few things but I wish we chose our own for the DJ. The DJ was our only 'bad' vendor, she just did not keep things moving nor did she play most of the things on our must play list. I cannot speak highly enough about the venue and the venue staff. We enjoyed the entire experience and really had the opportunity to enjoy the planning experience. My biggest advice is don't be afraid to remove some vendors. We did nothing bundt cakes and it was a hit!

AND THE WORST PART, the sound system blew up. So many of our guests left because they were bored. We had to manage our own speaker. We got lucky since we live near by.
The place felt very understaffed as well. None of our schedule was followed according to the plan. The taco bar came out late, cake came out late for our guests.
There is a security guard fee to ensure everyone leaves the venue safely but nope didn’t see any guard.

My husband and I are the only members in our family who live in Colorado and were looking for an all-inclusive venue to assist us throughout wedding planning so it wasn’t so stressful on us solely. Black Forrest absolutely BLEW our expectations out of the water. We used every vendor recommended by the venue - they were all wonderful! Rev. John made our ceremony beautiful and personable. Maggie K. With DJ Maestro kept our group dancing all night long and kept everything SO fun for us! If you’re looking for younger music - SHE’S YOUR GIRL! Huge shoutout to Mo @ Black Forrest, she walked us through every step of the process and made us feel so comfortable and supported. Katelyn and other staff Lexi, Dave, Cordelia and Mike were amazing during reception as well and kept the celebration rolling! The only disadvantage to Wedgewood is their payment process - you must reach out to the venue every time before you make a payment to get a secure link. You don’t have 24/7 access to a payment account and can not pay any amount at will. However, the staff do their very best at responding to emails and calls when those links are requested!

They worked with our schedules and moved things around to make everything convenient for us as we had 95% of our wedding party and guests traveling from out of state - that is something we can't thank them enough for. Our wedding day was stress free and fun (even through the rain!) because of good communication and thorough planning. Yvonne and Lexi were also great to work with for our last planning call and as our captain, respectively. You can tell everyone works well together because there was never a skipped beat when talking to any of the staff. Not to mention, the venue is beautiful and has a perfect mix between inside elegance and outside forest.
We also had a great experience with the recommended Dj service and were so thankful to have Maggie as our DJ - she got so many compliments throughout the night on the music selection!

ything was explained thoroughly from start to finish. Her bright personality put us at ease and allowed us to bring our personality to our wedding.
The venue was even more beautiful after being decorated. We appreciated that we didn't have to do any of the setting up or taking down as it is all handled through the venue.
The DJ, cake, and flowers are also all handled through the venue. Our DJ was Tyler H. who made sure the music was flowing and appropriate for different events/moments. The bakery that provided our wedding cake, Icing on the Cake, made us the BEST cake we have ever that looked just like our inspo pic. The floral company, A Flower Girl's Dream, created beautiful centerpieces in unique bud vases. It was nice to have the food provided by the venue so we did not need to cater. The appetizers were to die for!
Overall, would highly recommend!

Frank made the best tasting appetizers and had a great buffet spread for us! Tyler H from DJ Maestro kept the night alive with the perfect music for each part of the night! Dave crushed it with our open bar, supported the rounds of shots throughout the night and helped us offer virgin drink options for any of our non-drinkers! With everyone’s help at Black Forest it is a night I never wanted to end! We had worked with her when we virtually explored the venue and on some of the detail calls so we were super excited to hear she was our day of coordinator! She made our wedding day special! Along the planning process we worked with Mo, Alex and Yvonne who all made the planning process so simple (and shoutout to their binder which helped us prepare for each meeting). Kaylee was our banquet captain and took over the night after dinner. She did a wonderful job making sure we had all the food and drinks we could want. And she helped clean everything up at the end of the night. We didn’t have to do anything but enjoy ourselves the entire night, it is definitely a wedding we want to relive over and over!
We booked the premier package so we had everything included we wanted. This included the most gorgeous acrylic invites! We added their lawn games which was a fun touch for all the non-dancers at the wedding. We got Tyler H from DJ Maestro included and he was great, changing the music to fit the mood throughout the night and rolling with last minute song adjustments! Our cake was not only beautiful but also delicious and Icing on The Cake was so easy to work with!
Frank made a delicious spread of food! They made sure we got a plate of appetizers and a moment to enjoy just ourselves right after the ceremony. And they even gave us an extra plate of appetizers at our head table since we were so excited for them! The buffet had so many options, everyone was able to enjoy. The late night tater tot bar was a hit and needed for the great open bar! Dave made sure to make our specialty cocktails exactly how we like!
Although their indoor ceremony space was a perfect backup, we loved the outdoor ceremony space! And even though there was a little bit of rain around the ceremony, they provided clear umbrellas to make sure we could say our vows out in front of the beautiful forest.

You can use their decorations or bring your own and they’ll set it up. And thanks to Katie N and Katie S for backing Mo and stepping in for our "huge" party of 95. Speaking of which, Dave the bartender was a fan favorite. Make sure you get the top shelf open bar option if you want your guests to have a great time.
Our experience with Wedgewood was overall great. This review would've lost a star in my opinion due to the short-staffed event and seeming as if everything was overwhelmed, but after meeting with the Manager Nicole, her efforts to make things right with us and hearing our gripes and groans gives us a good feeling with their intentions and we understand that staffing is something out of their control.

We had Lindsey as our coordinator and she went so above and beyond to make our day perfect and special. I honestly dont know what I would have done if I did not have her helping me through everything! She helped provide us with so many extra special things just made everything so perfect.

process. Anytime we had a question on anything, we got responses very quickly and they were fast on updating us with any changes. They were also very flexible with us making changes to our package to make our day exactly how we wanted it. We had the most stress-free wedding day due to how amazing our coordinator, Lindsey, was. She was constantly asking us if we needed anything and kept us filled on drinks. Once she left for the night, Monique was also great at making sure we were taken care of.
