The coordinators and staff went above and beyond, not only making everything seamless behind the scenes, but also making us feel genuinely cared for. We were not able to attend the group tasting since we live in California, but Blackstone was able to accommodate a private tasting for us. We did our private tasting with Erica, who we also communicated with for a year and a half during the wedding planning process. It was so special that she was also by our side for our entire wedding day too. I really cannot say enough about the professionalism, quality, kindness, and presentation of both Blackstone and Blithewold and their staff. My favorite app was the clam chowder topped with a clam cake. We decided to add on a raw bar which was a huge hit. For entrees, we served braised short rib with crispy onions, corn soufflé and winter greens; seared scallops with fingerling potatoes, corn and pancetta succotash, and avocado cream; and pumpkin ravioli in a brown butter sage sauce. We received so many compliments on how tasty the food was. The corn soufflé was unreal- I asked for 2 more on the side! I would also like to shout out our personal attendants Mason and Darren who were so attentive and helpful on our wedding day. I would highly recommend Blackstone Caterers to anyone looking for high-quality food and professional/easy-to-work-with staff.

Blackstone handled: Plated food (cocktail hour & dinner) open bar, cutlery and dinnerware, dessert and curated a Champagne wall which was a crowd favorite. Everything was perfect!!!
1. The food was exceptional and we received many compliments from our guests from cocktail hour to dessert. My husband and I also enjoyed our tasting which was my favorite event I attended during our planning process. They make it special! Their waitstaff is professional and all made a point to congratulate my husband and I which was very sweet of them!
2. They kept the party going! Open bar did what open bars do.
3. The planning process/ professionalism. I worked with Danielle mostly during the planning process and she was detail oriented and very on top of it all! Blackstone works with you to make sure all orders are taken care of prior to the event and consistently checks in with you on all fronts.

ice manager was Erica. Everyone we worked with went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our event was perfect! Starting 18 months before our wedding, Jackie took time to explain Shepherd’s Run preferred vendors, and gave great hotel, transportation, and after party location suggestions. As we got closer to our wedding date, Rowan helped us pick out a perfect menu to fit our budget and taste preferences. She worked beside my planner to help make sure the flow of the wedding night went exactly to our plan.
The food we served at cocktail hour, reception, and dessert was so delicious! During cocktail hour we had goat cheese, fig, and caramelized onion tart with aged balsamic; feta and watermelon skewers, house-cured salmon gravlax and cucumber canape, lobster salad on a petite bun, and the cheese and crudité display. During our reception we had the mache and arugula salad, herb grilled filet mignon, Murray’s Farm Statler Chicken, and roasted eggplant ravioli. For dessert Blackstone plated our cake and served mini cannoli, strawberry shortcake, and coffee milkshakes. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the staff was so attentive to our guests. They made sure to double check with guests who had dietary restrictions. There were so many subtle details that made the service special - for example, having a personal tray of passed hors d'oeuvres at our head table, and serving cake to our guest tables that alternated the 2 cake options, so each couple could get a taste of both options. We really enjoyed our tasting which was a great way to sample all the hors d'oeuvres and entrees we had picked out for the wedding. While everything generally went very well on the wedding day, there was a small hiccup with the private cocktail hour we were supposed to have for everyone taking photos with the photographer. Only one waitress came by with one tray of hors d'oeuvres, and we were never offered any drinks or other food. Despite this though, it was a wonderful evening and everyone really enjoyed all the food!

I was able to enjoy the wedding day and the months leading up to the event because of these two. They coordinated everything for day off and guided me through the flow of the day. They even reached out to outside vendors to make sure deliveries were made on time. I can’t thank them enough!!! Not only are they pros but they are so kind and make the process such a treat. Commenting they had the best wedding food that night, our guests loved all the hors d'oeuvres, raw bar, plated dinner, and dessert. The manager and staff were all thoughtful, professional and attentive throughout the entire planning process and wedding day.
